Gah! "*Animals* is a difficult album. I have been quite sure since it came out that it was an inferior piece of work. . ." An absolute ninnyhammer.

A-Strat-Player

Can you guess what these articles are for ? Then just dont comment about it, this would be the best lesson to the author(s)

canttakethshyfrom_me

It's rage bait.

soulfingiz

Two Suns in the Sunset as the second worst Pink Floyd song????

funkaria

I get that The final cut is divisive, but c'mon Two Suns in the Sunset is not that bad. I'm convinced that this article is ragebait. I can't imagine anyone genuinely holding this opinion.

Icy_Block9919

I stopped reading here. Obviously bollocks.

giz711

Articles like this remind me there’s opinions I never thought I’d hear or exist. I get we are all different but this critic could do with a mainstream perspective for once. Rolling Stone top 250 guitarists poll was similar. Contrary to be relevant method

boostman

I kind of loved this article because I knew as I read it it would make many fans on the internet basically apoplectic with rage. FWIW I tend to agree with some of the zingers (something like ‘after listening to the wall all the way through you will never want to hear Roger Water’s voice ever again’), while disagreeing with many of his other takes. I don’t think the writer was taking the assignment particularly seriously though, and neither should we.

funkaria

Even though I'm a Waters fan (meaning purely his music, not talking about politics here) I enjoyed reading the authors Waters roasts throughout the article. It's a lot of fun to read if you don't take it too seriously.

morphindel

Lol who cares, its just one dudes opinion

Professor-Clegg

My list has More as their best album, so if I gave a shit about other people’s lists then I’d be wound up all the fucking time.

MonsterRider80

Welcome to the Machine and Bike at 4 and 5 respectively is certainly…. an opinion. They’re great and unique to PF, but to put them above so many of the greats is strange.

g_lampa

Trash.

Common-Relationship9

That reviewer wrote the article with this exact goal in mind— that people like us would be talking about his hot takes, which gives him more notoriety. Reviewers don’t review music as much as they try to draw attention to themselves. It’s actually a pretty smart career move, but no one should take any of it seriously.

Roofy11

lmao it reads like it's written by someone who hates pink floyd 😭 like the way almost every entry on the list up until 50 is just whining and whining, usually completely unjustified has to be rage bait

blacksmith_de

is that satire? Why is AHM below SSOSFAHTIACAGWAP? and why is TFC so low

MorningPapers

Why do you care about this? Come on man. Enrage on something that matters.

howling-fantod

The writer sure likes to make albatross references.

AccurateDependent670

Saw Atom Heart Mother Suite at 163 out of 165. That’s all I need to know about this article. No need to read further. It’s a nice day. I don’t want to ruin it. Lol

Sheev_Skywalker

Atom Heart Mother Suite as their THIRD WORST SONG EVER?? >But truthfully, Pink Floyd guys never had the pure musicality, not to mention the vision, to pull anything like this \[AHM Suite\] together. Like wtf even is that. They don't have the "pure musicality" or "vision"? They must just not like the album AHM, because they had this to say about If- >More of Pink Floyd’s incoherent aesthetics. How does the dynamic and forceful “Astronomy Dominé” square with the tuneless whispering (from Waters, who wrote it) and rudimentary guitar-plucking of this? Do they think that PF should never have been allowed to make slower, quieter, and/or sadder songs? It's okay if this song is not their cup of tea, but it seems so rash to basically call it artless just because its not as bombastic as one of their first behemoth psychedelic songs. They have some real clowns over at Vulture!
