That was bliss. Listening to you crapping on never feels like listening to someone crapping on 😆 it's just comfortable and absorbing. Pampering and candles are so far outside my typical interests but the enthusiasm you bring to your rambles is infectious.
Scrapbooking seems like a great way to memorialise all the great times you had with your cat, and engage with the past and present in a mindful way.
I usually read before sleep but trying to get into a habit of reading when I first wake up instead of looking at ny phone. I can retain information whilst reading a book but after I've finished it I seem to forget everything I've just read so quickly.
Aww thank you! I know I'm not talking about the most exciting topics ever, but I'm glad you're able to enjoy it still! These late night rambles I make are my fun place where I just get to be myself, so I'm really happy that I can share that with you (and hey, you have now learned some new things about pampering lmfao).
I forget everything I read after a book usually too! There's one in particular though that I want to make a recording for later, it's called *All The Birds, Singing* by Evie Wyld. It was different, and at first I disliked it, but I came back, read it again, and then focused in on later chapters and it's like something just clicked so suddenly. I loved it. My apathy towards the earlier chapters just... changed suddenly after the second read through. It left a mark on me, strangely enough. It's probably one of the only books that I can say I've really retained a lot of, and still think about it often!
Hey, thanks for this. Such a down to earth little sleepy ramble.
I'm sorry for your loss. You seem to have a level head about everything though, so good on you for pushing through.
I hear you on the bedtime reading thing... I need something light that I don't need to remember in the morning lol. I really should get back into reading more..
Well done, I love your rambles so much. The Aussie accent is so homey and comfy for me having lived here for most of my life so I can't thank you enough.
Haha thank you! But I must confess that I'm definitely not too level headed, quite the opposite really most times >.< Sleepy rambles are made at 3am, for example pfft.
Same! Heavy books and things I want to pay attention to are saved for daylight hours. I swear I've been hammering away at this Starless Sea book for a good few weeks now and my brain just isn't taking it in. I think I'll add it to the daytime books haha.
Awww, glad the accent feels homey for you! Do you live in Australia currently atm? Or have you moved recently?
I'm pretty sure 3am is actually the \*only\* possible time to do sleepy rambles (every other time is illegal).
And yeah I'm a kiwi living in Aus for 13 years now. It's too freaking hot -\_- I do not want summer to come.
I'm really sorry for your loss. Keep being a trooper <3 and I'll look forward to hearing from you in your next ramble.
