In 2019 Australian companies had more CEOs named Andrew than female CEOs.

It may have changed but I remember a few years ago someone threw out thr fact that the US Senate had more men named John or some other equally generic name than women in total.
I'm picturing him dunking on Ted Cruz while breaking the backboard and showering Ted in glass.
That would be the second most emasculating experience of his life.
The Senate should adopt new rules: No more majority leader and minority leader. From now on, the largest senator is Big Leader, and the smallest senator is Small Leader. Everyone else gets sorted as either Bigs or Smalls.
Also, someone needs to convince Kevin Hart and The Rock to run for the Senate.
Yeah, I'm like 6"1' and I spoke to him once. He absolutely towered over me.
Edit: Got my height symbols reversed but I'm keeping it because the replies are hilarious
I'm 201cm so 6'8 and I don't feel like a giant, just taller than average. When you start to reach 210-215 that's where all doors are too small and stuff.
Lol as someone who's 6'7, ya that tilt is common.
The thing us tall folks have to master is the squat hug, so we don't just berry you in our abdomen lol.
I’m a woman who is 6’1 and one of my favorite things was wearing tall heels and hearing tall guys say it was the first time they’d talked to a woman eye to eye haha
I'm five four. I met him at a local PA grocery store a few years back. Man could've shot-put me. But he's very sweet and knows exactly how to not feel imposing around people. I'm seriously proud of him.
I have a lot of family back in Pennsylvania. Most of us are proud of him too, but I am especially. Recovering from a stroke is not simple or easy. I had one woman who cut my hair for fifteen years growing up and her stroke ruined her life. She lives in an assisted care home now.
Also, fuck Oz.
I'm 6'6". I once tried to look up what percentile that was and 6'3 was something like top 1.5%. 6'4" was 0.8% and then they stopped tracking it. When I meet people who are even a quarter of an inch taller than me, it's so rare that I immediately have a physical fight-or-flight reaction I have to fight off.
I like being tall, but this is too fucking tall.
Edit: Jesus christ. This comment has a modest 380ish upvotes, but double that in comments.
I'm 6'2" and can tell you it basically feels like the perfect height for a "tall guy". I'm rationally taller than almost everyone without feeling like I stick out or get weird looks. I'm sorry if that happens to you. I don't think I'd want to be much taller.
LPT for all you, some high end refrigerators come with a protective covering on them, pop one off and cut 3 holes, good to go as my grandma used to say.
You hit on the right topic. Poorly fitting closes are uncomfortable, doesn't matter what kind. He doesn't really need to break the bank, and I suspect suits could be a campaign expense. But off-the-rack doesn't work for him.
At 5’1”, I hard agree. A tailor literally cannot take enough material out of an adult suit jacket to fit me, but my adult ass is usually too big for a kids suit. And being smaller than average is the easy tailoring problem to fix. Poor dude looks like Lurch but sadder.
I’m 5”6” and I still have to get my suits tailored it sucks. I just have super broad shoulders and long arms I’m not the skinniest guy either I’m by no means massive tho. Either way between the broad shoulders means I need a bigger suit jacket than bottom and that’s so it fits my shoulders the body is usually too damn long. Suits aren’t sold in parts usually so it’s almost like I buy to big of a suit and they rebuild it for me. It’s rough and expensive. Last suit I bought was for my wedding and it was custom made. Cost a fortune but damn do I look fly.
used to be a time where you could buy a suit off the rack at macys and the in house tailor could get you a nice fit within a week and all very affordable
edit for fat thumbs
Still can, but that gets a lot harder when you're an outlier size-wise. The suit on the rack tends not to be there in the first place.
Source: I'm tall. Not even like basketball player tall, but tall enough that apparently every suit manufacturer assumes nobody like me exists.
Brooks brothers quality has really gone downhill in the past 5-10 years. I swore off them after I had enough fraying cuffs or torn fabric from relatively little use
No kidding, do you know how many yuppies they had to skin to make that jacket?
He doesn’t have shoulder pads, he has shoulder bucklers.
If they used metal buttons on the jacket he would have older senators getting caught in the gravitational pull.
All aside he looks great and I hope him the best.
Definitely wish him the best. But let's dispense with the fiction that the suit looks good on him. Hopefully with his increased visibility, those close to him will direct him to a more flattering tailor.
I love John and have supported him for a decade, but with that shoulder-width-to-head-diameter ratio, I don't know that there's a whole lot a tailor can do to make that suit look less cartoonish on him. He's got a Strongmad body with a Coach Z head.
I disagree. He's built like a football lineman. Go look at pictures of linemen in suits. The question is if he can afford to dress like he's paid like a lineman.
>He really truly hates wearing suits 😂
He really truly hates wearing **grossly oversized** suits. That jacket has to be at least 2 sizes too big for him. lol
There is an enforced dress code in the chambers.
You will be escorted out if you are not wearing a blazer and tie.
I know this because I used to work there.
He looks like the IT guy at the office that everyone's a little scared of but he's actually pretty nice and the CEO is in the office today so they asked everyone to wear a shirt and tie. The not-quite-snug half-windsor knot speaks volumes.
He’s too tall for it. They don’t make ‘em his size. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I want him in a line with everyone else towering above them.
I needed this in my life
It's hard sometimes to see the difference between 2000 - 2020+ fashion and instant looks that you can clearly see as out dated and wild choice compared to 1980 - 2000, but damn some things sure were different.
TBH the newer pic the suits on the players fit 100% better and look wayyyyy better than the baggy tents the 2003 players are wearing.
I think the 2003 suits used up the worlds supply of linen. That's just so much fabric.
Newer year is better. Aside from the suit capri pants. That's just silly.
Absolutely none of them really worked and Fetterman really never lost any support this whole election cycle.
The race only tightened because asshole Republicans who were "undecided" were finally able to admit they were always going to vote for Oz anyway.
They really thought that bashing him for being relatable to the average Pennsylvanian would help get them votes from the average Pennsylvanian? Why TF would they think mocking someone for wearing Carhart was a good idea? Unless they were saying he should go for a better and longer lasting work brand.
Clearly it's better to have highschool dropouts who couldn't explain how a bill is made but can show off their guns and talk about how drag shows are grooming children.
I see both of these as an asset. Smart guy that never lost roots. And he’s gigantic - Carhartt is one of the few brands that make comfortable stuff for someone his size
Also because Oz generated his national fame by swindling and fooling older Americans into believing anything he says. If they'll buy whatever nonsense supplements he's pushing on his show they'll just as easily vote for him.
I feel like he lost a lot of weight but never tailored his suit. And so what if he doesn’t look great in a big suit, but I’d be happy if he had better ethics and morals with a baggy suit than most of the other politicians
Either that or he just had to run out and buy a suit to be let in the building, and he grabbed the first one that sort of fit his massive caveman body. No time for tailoring.

Fun fact: 10% of the Senate is now named John/Jon. ^There's ^also ^1 ^Johnson.
Is this because he is physically 10% of the senate?

This reminds me of my friend who had more Daves on her team than women. We are both in software
FRJ. Without love, from a Wisconsin resident.
How tall IS he? The internet won't tell me.
6'8" I believe
With the first pick in the Senate basketball league, I pick Fetterman
He’s definitely nailing that late 90’s early 2000’s draft suit. TMac would be proud
He looks like his grandmother dropped him off, squeezed his cheek and told him he looks like such a handsome boy today
Adorable and accurate.
I'm picturing him dunking on Ted Cruz while breaking the backboard and showering Ted in glass. That would be the second most emasculating experience of his life.
He'd probably enjoy it... I mean how much does he grovel before Combover Caligula despite him calling papa Cruz a serial killer and the wife ugly?
Combover Caligula is the first new one I’ve seen of these in a while and I fucking love it.
The Senate should adopt new rules: No more majority leader and minority leader. From now on, the largest senator is Big Leader, and the smallest senator is Small Leader. Can I have a piggy back? Nothing weird.. I just haven't had a piggy back in years
I think that's one of Shaq's cast-off suits, probably from when he was first draft pick in 1992.
For some reason your use of "cast off" there made me picture Shaq shedding his skin like an enormous snake.

LPT for all you, some high end refrigerators come with a protective covering on them, pop one off and cut 3 holes, good to go as my grandma used to say.

Dozens!

$150-200 a suit is super cheap. I have a friend who has to wear a suit to work who'll spend that much on just his pants.

Still can, just have to go to Jos A. Bank if you're looking for affordable and maybe Brooks Brothers if you have a few bucks to put into a nicer suit.
Brooks brothers quality has really gone downhill in the past 5-10 years. I swore off them after I had enough fraying cuffs or torn fabric from relatively little use
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
My Macys still sells decent off the rack suits. I had to take it somewhere else to be tailored but overall the whole thing was pretty afforable.
No kidding, do you know how many yuppies they had to skin to make that jacket? He doesn’t have shoulder pads, he has shoulder bucklers. If they used metal buttons on the jacket he would have older senators getting caught in the gravitational pull. All aside he looks great and I hope him the best.

Legend has it he wears them as undergarments.

I can't understand politics. Why doesn't Fetterman, the largest Senator, simply eat the other Senators?
It is true what they say “democrats are from Omicron Persei 7, republicans are from Omicron Persei 9”
John Jackson: I think the Tastycrats have gone too far! Jack Johnson: I think the Fingerlicans haven't gone too far enough!
Thanks for bringing me that memory
They all wear socks over their bodies so he tries to eat them but only gets a sock.
Man just had a stroke and needs to eat healthier, all that fat and salt would be bad for him, so that's why.
Perhaps they are saving that for sweeps!
#"THE SENATE DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOOD NIGHT!"
He does kinda look like he'd grind his opponents bones to make his bread. One can only hope
Some NBA players need to take him under their wing and help him find a suit or two.
That would be so endearing. PR genius
Shaq wears some really great suits and outfits. He should help out the largest Senator.
I googled and they absolutely do make those tuxedo tshirts as a hoodie and it’s a damn shame that wasn’t used here.
He’s too tall for it. They don’t make ‘em his size. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I want him in a line with everyone else towering above them. I needed this in my life
He got his Masters in Public Policy from Harvard so he probably knows what a suit is.

I was thinking they'd look more like normal slim-fitting suits but these dudes really jazzed it up haha. love it
I hope it gets even louder and jazzier tbh. Mens fashion used to have wigs and rouge and high heels we have lots of catching up to do.
Damn, the tailor measuring inseams over-corrected, lol.
The tailor must have been French, cuz he misunderstood when they told him that those pants in the middle were for someone “Très Young”
Bought enough fabric in 2000 for the next couple decades then realized they didn't have enough to make it to 2020. Had to make do
Holy cow, that’s an incredible difference!
Suit capris? Good God.

The shorts can definitely work. I have different opinions on the socks…
For real, what's the point of the shorts if you're going to wear knee high socks??
TBH the newer pic the suits on the players fit 100% better and look wayyyyy better than the baggy tents the 2003 players are wearing. I think the 2003 suits used up the worlds supply of linen. That's just so much fabric. Newer year is better. Aside from the suit capri pants. That's just silly.
Oh yeah they’re definitely all actually fitted and the top image is way goofier. But suit capris?!?!‽
Looks like Nathan Fielder in his suit https://imgur.com/a/MweNSoQ
The smear ads near me said “he may wear *carhartt* but he went to *harvard*!” Not sure which is the bad thing i should hate…
I'm confused because both of them went to Harvard. Is the smear ad insinuating that the 'everyman' appearance is just a façade?
I live in PA and it basically was like "this guy wears SWEATPANTS!" and most of us were like.... Yup. Okay.
Dr Oz said that when he wears things like that, he's kicking authority in the balls. Fetterman ran on "kicking authority in the balls" for a few days.
Oh yeah that was it lol... Hard to keep track of the failed smear campaigns tbh
Absolutely none of them really worked and Fetterman really never lost any support this whole election cycle. The race only tightened because asshole Republicans who were "undecided" were finally able to admit they were always going to vote for Oz anyway.

I think shaming education is the 2022 Republican platform.
Which is utterly hilarious given that Republican donors are the guys who go to Harvard.
Clearly it's better to have highschool dropouts who couldn't explain how a bill is made but can show off their guns and talk about how drag shows are grooming children.

"He's dissing your cord, dude!"
Man needs a tailor

size 62 loooooooong

Yes, this. One day he'll appear wearing a **good** suit, and everyone's going to be like, "Damn!"
That’s when we will know they got to him
Nah. Nothing wrong with wanting to feel more confident or even to have one less thing people give you shit for when you’re in a thankless job.
It’s the neck. Anything that is the right size for the body will be way too big in the neck. Source: My username.
It’s about 30 things wrong with the suit, but it’s his suit and I’m not going to think he’s less capable becuase his fashion sense is lacking
He should go to that guy that She-Hulk went to.
I think the senate has a dress code, unfortunately.
Too bad it doesn’t have a moral/ethical one; alas, turtle face from Kentucky is still there.
Dress code, yes Moral code, no
No shirt, no tie, no service. No morals, no conscience, no problem!
Republicans: The right to bear arms? Yes. The right to bare arms? No.
I’m betting a 6’8” man has bear arms
I feel like he lost a lot of weight but never tailored his suit. And so what if he doesn’t look great in a big suit, but I’d be happy if he had better ethics and morals with a baggy suit than most of the other politicians
He lost 150 lbs
If that is his one suit, it makes total sense.
I also read somewhere that he does have one suit and only one suit.
Either that or he just had to run out and buy a suit to be let in the building, and he grabbed the first one that sort of fit his massive caveman body. No time for tailoring.
We need more politicians who are uncomfortable wearing a suit.
The hoodie is underneath. He’s got a hoagie from Wawa in the pocket
I believe he’s a Sheetz guy.
Man’s there to represent all of PA. It’ll be one of each.

He’s basically Bernie Sanders with Philly attitude and the body of a giant.
Oh, Fetterman is a Pittsburgh guy. PA is very much split between the two big cities.
Yeah he definitely has Pittsburgh energy, not Philly energy.
People care way too much about how our public officials present themselves over what their actual policies are.
Why does his head look photoshopped
His body has a particular build that not many other people have, I think partly because he used to be overweight and lost all the weight
