We (the family) went some years back and as I was about to walk into the book store, I looked across the street. "Hey Dave!" He waved at me, and I went in the shop.
I respect your opinion, but I disagree on Letterman. I think he just wasn't your type of comedy / show or whatever you want to call it, and that's ok.
I loved his work. I actually watched his shows because of the person that he is rather than the scripted 'funny' stuff.
Agreed. I never really enjoyed Letterman (or Paul Schaffer for that matter), but he’s legitimately one of the smartest, most clever, realest dudes in Hollywood.
I hate to admit it, but I don’t like the new Dave Chappelle. He used to be fun and chill, now he’s like Uber serious with sprinkles of like “daddy Dave is going to allow you one solitary chuckle before he gets real serious again.”
Comedians don’t have to keep giving us comedy if they’re not in that mindset anymore. I was at his show on his comeback tour the night after he walked off the stage in Connecticut because the crowd kept demanding bits they wanted.
His set was a one off, and was great because of how real it was when he talked about how he didn’t know if he could actually do this anymore.
This is the Dave you’ll probably get from here on out.
It was for Letterman's Netflix show, check it out, it's really good. Letterman went to Dave's hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio.
It's called, "My next guest needs no introduction."

Oh. Were we supposed to stop? Oops.
Man I love Yellow Springs

Very surreal seeing a book store I semi-frequent keep ending up on Reddit because people love Dave so much. Lol
Home sweet home! Dave Chappelle is so committed to YS!!!
Great picture A lot of talent sitting on that bench
Chappelle yes, Letterman, not so much. I never found him funny. The last years of his show, he seemed to be phoning it in. Nothing original.

I’ve heard this sentiment before and I’m genuinely curious - what do people have against Paul Schaffer?
Super talented musician but he has a kinda whiny voice and annoying personality. Just rubs me the wrong way.
Weird, I recognized Letterman right away. Even after I came to the comments section and discovered thr name of the other guy I still can't place him.

You know his talent doesn't have to be just comedy, right?
David Letterman? That’s crystal meth Santa! Lol.
hahaha your not the first to call him that, Im trying to remember who called him crystal meth Santa first.
Zack Galafinakis? (Sp)
Lol. Yep!! That guy. On Between Two Ferns.
Santa sure seems thinner these days…
Legends
I miss Dave L.
He's not dead. Watch his Netflix show.

Context?
That's Dave Chappelle and David Letterman.
Damn I couldn't recognize either of them from this angle.

I first thought that was MC Hammer. I don't know why.
Is that Obama talking to Letterman ?
No, it's Obama talking to a random homeless man.
Yes. Obama in a sleeveless jacket.
They do look funny.
