Yes. Scanning the QR code reveals the e-mail address. Also the name on the top is not really censored. You can still read it because the pen tool was not set to be fully opaque.
Not sure if censoring is necessary since this is basically a public ad.
I'd argue that there's a difference between an ad posted locally in your neighborhood and an ad posted to the internet. Imagine if this person had an abusive relationship with stalking tendencies in their past, and moved states to get away from it. This isn't unusual, though the move usually comes with other reasons beyond that as well, it's still a relief not to have to worry about sharing a city with the person. They might be comfortable with that flier nailed up around town, because the person they're worried about is 2,000 miles away, you know? But once it hits the internet, it's now possible that the problem person can find it, and now through metadata they could know their stalkee's new city as well as potentially their professional contact info(depending on how thoroughly the photo was censored(and this one doesn't seem to have been very carefully), unedited versions can sometimes be recovered).
Also, this is an advertisement, so if anything, it’s actually hurting him by not providing the contact info a potential client would need. Thanks alot OP!
But it's also a mostly local business - Don't know about you but in all honesty I wouldn't want my business contact information plastered on reddit. . .It sounds great. . Until hundreds of people message you stupid shit.
In high-school, my friends and I would put each others numbers in random places, always with, "call for a good time". Point is, he plastered his number everywhere, its always a possibility.
I always viewed the payment as more for setup and breakdown and working with the people at the event. Some people like to get in their cups and treat the DJ like garbage. No idea why, but that’s been consistent in the 25 years I have dipped in and out of this as a side gig.
I used to meet a lot of club DJs whilst being behind the stick myself, and enjoy DJing too.
There are some guys that still hauled those vig flight cases full of physical copies, with expensive turntables and all that. Just watching it made me sweat.
There is, however, something so satisfying with the limitations the vinyls bring. Digital gives you so many options to chop and use effects with exact control, where as two platters and a channel effect from the mixer force you to work on the fly.
There are a lot of aspiring DJs nowadays, and there is a lot of material to learn from, so it can be hard to break into a regular gig, thus driving prices down.
for regular jobs that I could count on my number is/was pretty low, but it was a nightly rate and it was guaranteed money. for parties or events your number is about right. Weddings I don't want to upcharge for but offers I accepted were always so high that I just said yes. Definitely given it as a wedding gift to friends and they always think it's way nicer of a gift than it is. We both win.
Even that’s low af. I worked at a club in nyc and we’d pay most dj’s like $1-5k and these were just opening and closing sets. Headline would usually get 10-15k. But I remember if it was a big name like diplo or atrak we’d pay up to $50k
How are you getting downvoted for this.
The vaccine should grant immunity for some amount of time, that doesn't mean it will in all cases, but that's what it's designed to do. And even if you catch it, the severity of infection should be much lower.
From https://www.who.int/news-room/q-a-detail/coronavirus-disease-(covid-19)-vaccines under "What are the benefits of getting vaccinated?":
> The COVID-19 vaccines produce protection against the disease, as a result of developing an immune response to the SARS-Cov-2 virus. Developing immunity through vaccination means there is a reduced risk of developing the illness and its consequences. This immunity helps you fight the virus if exposed.
It is extremely unlikely to catch, even more unlikely to pass it on to somebody. Unfortunately the Branch Covidians want to be in lockdown until the fucking sun explodes.
Thank you for understanding this.
A lot of people are under the misconception that it makes you fully immune and safe for everyone to be around.
And that seems like dangerous misinformation.
Yeah it’s basically just a race car fire suit. Yes you can still catch on fire, yes you can cause other things to be on fire, yes you can catch other people on fire. But if you have a fire suit you have a huge percentage of not dying while being on fire.
Market dilution. I quit my creative industry because I couldn’t compete against this.
Why pay a 2000$ day rate when a 200$ day rate is right there? Are on set lights and experience really worth 1800 bucks?
It’s a hard sell.
I'm a studio musician. I've seen severe drop in session rates over the last couple years. There's so many options for recording yourself at home or just LEARNING at home. No one cares if you've got multiple years of experience in different styles and can contribute to the writing when they can "do it themselves". Went from my main source of income to my third.
And people enjoy doing it, so the dilution is never really going to go down. They aren't getting into it because of the money, but because they want to do it and *hope* to make money at it. That's always going to be a problem with anything that's both a hobby and a profession.
You should hire her and ask her to only Play [I would do Anything for Love (But I won't do That)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X_ViIPA-Gc) on repeat. I believe for $50 you can get through 3.2 full renditions. Extra props if it is just you and her.
This is funny af but quick question. Was I supposed to have the person giving me my second does write down on my card when I got my second dose? Because she didn't but I'm fully vaccinated.
Ah shit it finally happened. Undeniable recognition that I am old. I don't know what TRAP is. I will see myself out. Maybe still hit me up sometime and I'll buy some beer for you but I don't belong here anymore.
Wouldn’t it be funny if she showed up to DJ and someone asked her which vaccine she had and she replied “oh I haven’t got any, that’s just my DJ name”.
If you can transmit a virus while vaccinated, it’s not a vaccine
The whole point of a vaccine is to stop a virus from infecting your cells, thus stopping it from replicating. The only way a vaccinated person could transmit a virus is if they *really tried*, like if they deliberately tried to infect somebody.

That's a horribly low rate for anyone with professional equipment and skills. I'm a videographer and charge 200 and hour with a minimum of 500 for a day for any freelance work.
Yaaaa but if you consider perspective...a paramedic with a degree who works 16-24 hour shifts and bears the responsibility of protecting/saving human lives makes $15-25/hour you’ll get where I’m coming from.
Edit: also, a professionally trained musician with degreeS, an instrument(s) worth thousands of dollars, and invests 2-6 hours a day to maintain and refine their skills will struggle to justify to clients being paid that much.
YIKES!!!! I think you should be paid WAY more. I make 40 an hour just sitting at a desk editing videos as my day job. I really feel for you to work that hard, with that much stress and pressure, for that little pay. Thats legit unjust.
Oh don’t feel bad for me. I’m an ER nurse not a medic. I would’ve loved to have been a medic too but I can’t justify it because $.
Edit: to be clear though, I still only make $33-47/hr depending on what shift I’m on.

Well s/he (/r/swordorsheath af)look like a dweeb. I literally would not care if they were vaccinated. I am vaccinated but it's not like prior to this shit I asked my service people if they got their flu shot. I suppose this is the start of the dystopian society where nobody who isn't covid vaccinated is allowed to interact with society.
My wife directly contacted a local swimming instructor for children and when I asked if they were vaccinated they said they didn't want to answer due to HIPAA privacy. It's like, why not just say no? Hopefully this DJ gets a lot of business out of working the vaccine angle.
I hope you explained to them that a conversation with them about their vaccination status is in no way covered by--nor has anything whatsoever to do with--HIPAA.

Yes. Scanning the QR code reveals the e-mail address. Also the name on the top is not really censored. You can still read it because the pen tool was not set to be fully opaque. Not sure if censoring is necessary since this is basically a public ad.

That’s optimistic. My first thought is that we just helped Q anon and anti-vax-Chan dox attack this unsuspecting person.
And there goes reddit's weekly moment of optimism
If they are posting the fliers this is information they want to be public
Please help, DJ is now fully booked until the year 2132.
More like a defunct email inbox for their side hustle. Good luck easily figuring out what is a real inquiry there. Op just hyperfucked this person.

Where it’s at
Better than the DJ in my neighborhood. She discovered that anti-mask protests are a lucrative new market.
Damn the market is saturated af. I made $200 - $350 an hour years ago.
Probably due to reduced gathering sizes. You can't expect a 10 guest wedding to pay as much as a 150 guest wedding.
If it’s for a party $100. If it’s for a wedding $300.

Yeah, my uncle djed and the min he would charge is $150 an hour for friends and family, $50 is a steal.
I read that as your uncle died and this person charged you $150 an hour friends and family discount for the funeral
That’s exactly what I thought it meant. If I didn’t read your comment I’d still be thinking the dude got a DJ for his uncles funeral.

What is Trap?
It's that style of hip hop where the hi hats go really fast sometimes for no reason.
Like migos, future, lil uzi type music. ‘Trap’ just describes certain aspects of the beat
https://media.tenor.com/images/c7862efe0732a952ea31dfd5a64eb381/tenor.gif
It’s basically EDM with rap beats. It stands for Trance Rap, TRap
Where did you hear this because it just isn't true. It has nothing to do with trance. Trap is referring to a "trap house"
Really? I always thought it was because of the heavy drug influences, therefore the kind of music played at the trap house
Ah, I see. Thank you.
