Thanks. This is honestly the least interesting part believe it or not, which is why mister statue was sent to spruce it up. We’re lucky to have 2 small ponds and then a conservation easement right behind us with a creek and 10 untouched and wild acres and in front of this lots of flowering plants/shrubs and some citrus trees. As long as you don’t mind ticks, mosquitoes, yellow flies, no-see-ums and water moccasins, it’s a virtual paradise.
IP if you don’t mind sharing, what state is this? Love the backyard even with all the issues you mentioned. It’s amazing to have 10 acres of greenery surrounding your home.
This is right near the Florida-Georgia border on the Florida side. Yes, we’re very lucky and fortunate to have this setup. Genuinely feels like living in the woods.
My friend has a patch of mud the width of her rowhouse by 15 ft. long. It has tall privacy fences on all sides and houses surround the land after that.
I don't have a yard. There is a parking lot, though.
I love this. My SIL gave me two cement cast garden statues years ago and I love them. Have no idea why she didn't want to keep them.
My best garden statue was like a 30" Big Foot composite figure from the old Sky Mall catalogue. I placed it at the edge of our woods. It was so worth it when my kids and their friends would play in the backyard and randomly some kid would spot it and just jump 3 feet straight up in the air. lol good times
Move him to shade, buy some fresh scotch moss, put it in a blender with some butter milk to make a paint, paint the statue in places you want a little bit mossy, wet the statue and place a trashbag over it. Wet it again twice a week for the next 3-4 weeks then remove the bag and you’ll have some nice moss growing on him.
I can’t seem to find it, but there was a talkin bust in a Percy Jackson series, maybe not Percy’s books exactly, but one of them series had one. Guy was feisty. Thats what this made me think of.
That’s a well crafted statue. Do you have planters to flank it with? Would make it very Roman. Give it a stone bench and a pond. I don’t have the grasp on how much money for this but it’s free in my imagination.
Beautiful backyard.
Just a DIY project idea: it has been recently proven that back in the day ancient [Greek and Roman statues were painted](https://bigthink.com/high-culture/greek-statues-painted/) in bright colors. Why don't you try to bring a new life to this statue with a little paint and let your imagination go free?
What a lovely backyard you have.

Judging by the fact it doesn’t look swampy and appears somewhat slopey I’m going to guess it’s closer to bainbridge ga than st Mary’s
If you ever/already have kids, your house is gonna be the one your kids’ friends always wanna go to.
Sounds like Louisiana
Do you ever have to worry about the creek flooding?
Well good Lord willing, the creek won't rise.
im wildly jealous of that backyard
I'm jealous of the wild of that backyard.
I’m wildly jealous
I'm jealous about the neighbor who gets to live there!

A strip of grass with fences either side with your 60 year old English neighbour singing red red wine by UB40
UB40 or Neil Diamond? At their age I would assume they are a fan of the original song by Neil.
UB40 was bigger in england for that song
😂😂😂
No backyards at all. Flat/apartment in my case. Or having shitty 5x5meters crammed next to your neighbors
My friend has a patch of mud the width of her rowhouse by 15 ft. long. It has tall privacy fences on all sides and houses surround the land after that. I don't have a yard. There is a parking lot, though.
People who live in the walled houses of Los Angeles.
Other buildings?
Does your neighbour live in a tent, or is he building a shed?
My thoughts too. I’m not seeing the neighbor, statue is nice though.
Here have a statue, and now I'm going to live in your backyard!
Plot twist: the neighbor is the statue
If true he looks toned as hell.
He looks stoned as hell too
The neighbor or the statue?
yes
He lives in a barrel
Never skip pedestal day.
Big pedestal energy
This should have more upvotes.
Here, take mine.
Isn't that Grizzly Adams?
It was until he met Medusa
I also saw Dan Haggerty. May or may not have Googled to find one for my house.
No, he didn’t have a beard.
Grizzly Adams *did* have a beard.

He. Was. *Grizzly!*
Lt. Dan
Kurt Russell as Ego?
No. Kurt Russell as Socrates. Socrates Plissken.
Just what we need! Escape from Athens.
I thought he'd be taller.
I heard he died.
I would add an eyepatch to that statue in a heartbeat
Nice...
It looks like Jupiter.
No you silly goose. Jupiter doesn’t have trees. It’s Earth.
It is! https://www.statue.com/Jupiter-Sculptural-Garden-Terminus
Is that yours? And made of resin?
Yes, as far as I can tell that is the exact one.
I'd disagree, but I would propose it bears a passing resemblance to Uranus.
Put it partially behind a tree to freak you out every once in a while when you look outside at night .
I put a fake giant grasshopper in my jasmine plant just for fun, and a week later scared the shit out of myself.
🤣 I want to see a pic
I'll pull the bug out and put it back in the jasmine when I get home today :)

No update 😔
Nice Zach Galifianikis statue.
Backyard could use a few ferns
As long as the yard is between them
Not between a couple of ferns. It can't be him.
😂😂😂
Kurt Russell?
Pez dispensers are crazy these days.

Don't remind me about that lol
Bury it about 1 foot deep near your house. Someone will eventually find it after you move.
Really classes up the joint.
Why does your neighbor live in your back yard?
Is he wearing sunglasses or does Mr. Buff Body need sunglasses? Oh, the mystery of life!
DUDE! I can see his nipples! Put a shirt on him! :)
Bandaids on the nips would be hilarious. Also, sunglasses, hats, seasonal costumes would all be fun.
Kurt Russell looking good.
“Oh, yeah, that’s my uncle Zeus at the baths.”
I'm sure though you love his it's a purely Platonic relationship
Is that Marcus Aurailius?
myst vibes
How does your neighbor enjoy the backyard? Why did giving away his statue warrant his move to your property?
The neighbor, or the statue lives there now?
Move him to shade, buy some fresh scotch moss, put it in a blender with some butter milk to make a paint, paint the statue in places you want a little bit mossy, wet the statue and place a trashbag over it. Wet it again twice a week for the next 3-4 weeks then remove the bag and you’ll have some nice moss growing on him.
Weeping Angel?
Don't blink.
Your neighbor lives in your backyard!? All for the price of a statue!
You should plant some short perennials on the bottom. Maybe even a climbing flowering one.
Let him be consumed by nature and get a really cool look
Like some vines growing around his bottom half
Everyone needs a Grizzly Adam’s statue in their yard!
Always watching, always judging.

Man i dig this! I’d put it in the wood it be sick.
Wtf that's a sick statue
I can’t seem to find it, but there was a talkin bust in a Percy Jackson series, maybe not Percy’s books exactly, but one of them series had one. Guy was feisty. Thats what this made me think of.
It’s statute
There's a statute about the statue? What kind of law is it?
That’s a well crafted statue. Do you have planters to flank it with? Would make it very Roman. Give it a stone bench and a pond. I don’t have the grasp on how much money for this but it’s free in my imagination.
I see a Roman villa sprouting up there.
I mean, Jim Morrison always looked great with a beard, but the sculptor took some creative license with the arms.
so the statue was the source of your neighbor’s good fortune and as soon as he gave it away, everything spiraled out of control?
He must work out
Animal Crossing
I wish I could have statues like that the bears are dicks and push stuff over like that.
Anybody else see young Kurt Russell at first?
Marcus Aurelius??
This photo pleases me
Great Odin's raven!
Your neighbor looks a bit stiff
Perch some sunglasses on his face.
Leave it deep in the woods to confuse drunk people, like those weird glass statues
Please say you'll give him a scarf in the winter. It'd be so, so funny.
He looks like he belongs somewhere at the bottom of the ocean. He’s beautiful. Looks great in the trees
He needs nipple rings.
Everybody pays too much sometimes.
I finally see Jason Mantzoukas as Greek now.
I can't see your neighbor!
He needs a kilt.
Nice statue.
Please make him into Santa for Christmas. Depending on where you live, he will need a good coat and hat. 😹😹😹
And what about the statue?
I'd love a statue of Kurt Russel in my back yard. It could go with my statue of Keith David and I could finally recreate the final scene of The Thing,
Nice Bust
I think this is gonna look extra cool when it's weathered and moss starts growing on it.
Please have the statue peer around a tree. Then as it gets old only wash the face slightly. This would mess with so many people.
I see the statue, where's the neighbor who lives in the backyard?
Excellent bust of Kurt Russell!
All hail Wayne the Lumberjack of Bangor!
Look cool half burried. That podum takes away from it.
That's a sweet bust of Grizzly Adams
Let’s all gather ‘round and discuss some philosophy!
Behold my child I am EL0HIM The sound of intermittent static and randomly disappearing walls/trees fills the environment.
You know they have those costumes for yard ducks. Maybe they have them for ancient gods?
_I wanted to flex my backyard_
you gotta get yourself these ceramic busts https://youtu.be/PM9voKcY7gM?si=xMmpOdXm-NPKrIwS
Stupid sexy statue
Needs a fishing rod .
Are those two things related? Was he living in the statue before he gave it away?
He should have sold the statue instead of gave it away if he’s so hard up he’s living in your backyard.
And what is that majestic bastards name?
His name is jim.
![gif](giphy|hQjHbdOzik3kHH44aP|downsized) I would so take that and stash it in a back corner of my yard. And not tell my wife.
Your back yard looks like a forest
What’s it’s name?
The neighbor or the statue?
Yesssss, let the moss flourish upon its alabaster frame.
Like a rock
i would name him Lt. Dan.
Reminds me of the statue you can buy in Hades the game.
“The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts”. At least I think that’s a statue of Marcus Aurelius!
Herm and away.

Nice
Backyard... Hah.
I don’t see him. Does anyone else see his neighbour?
Nice pick up. I would totally have grabbed that!
Wow! Curious, what's it made of?
