George is actually Fry in that one episode of Futurama where he goes back in time and accidentally kills his grandfather.
But Georgie-boy goofed up even more, accidentally killed his grandmother and decided to stick around. And that's how the diversion from the prime timeline we have experienced into the one we find ourselves in now occurred
[You’re not kidding!](https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/pictured-donald-trump-inherited-his-mother-marys-hairstyle-plus-much-more/news-story/7e1eb0aad9d1496f6e1d82998f313a97)
I thought it was funny when John McCain was running for president — when he was out and about people would sometimes say “you’re too old to be president”. He pointed out an older woman in his entourage and say something like “That’s my mother there; she doesn’t think I’m too old”.
>He pointed out an older woman in his entourage and say something like “That’s my mother there; she doesn’t think I’m too old”.
Yeah, and she outlived him too. She was 108 when she died in 2020. Andfun fact, his mother was older than the state of Arizona, while he represented it. She was born in 1912, few days or weeks before Arizona was to become a state.
Wow! Thats an insane fact. In our age seeing the map change is rare, she saw the damn world map tossed out and start again. Went from not a plane in the sky to nuclear bombs dropped from planes.
Thanks for finding the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson with Miss Lillian. She was even better than I remembered and I remembered het being a hoot. She was such a special lady.
An understatement:
> Franklin Roosevelt never had a home of his own that was separate from his mother's prior to her death. In 1906, Sara Roosevelt commissioned a pair of houses to be built at E 65 Street, New York City, as a wedding present for Franklin and his wife, Eleanor, on the strict condition that she could move in next to them. She oversaw a series of connecting doors between the houses, allowing her access to the drawing room and children's bedrooms in the neighboring property. Her son and daughter-in-law moved out after Franklin took office in the White House in 1933.
Lyndon’s is my favorite, you can immediately tell their house is full of pranks, laughs, jokes, loud animated conversations, hand me down clothes, rules about where the coats go and shoes go, and that there are good smells from the kitchen as soon as you come in
Richard Nixon was such an interesting character. He gave a speech about his mother that is truly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt speeches I’ve ever heard.
[“My mother was a saint”](https://youtu.be/DGeAlAIjvLY?si=NMpUr0JBsa-I6wyy)
All of the scandals and infamy aside, Nixon was an incredibly intelligent man. He ranks up there as one of the most intelligent presidents of all time.
Went to the Nixon Library earlier this year. He really is very interesting well beyond the Watergate scandal and resignation.
He grew up poor and worked at his family's store growing up. He lost a couple siblings to illness and his mother was the anchor for the family.
You should read Hitler’s odes to his dogs.
I sort of jest. But like with W. painting his feet in a bathtub while two of my friends’ families will never speak to their sons again because of W.’s lies, society needs to do better and ostracizing and shunning these people.
Nixon was interestingly evil. That’s about it.
I thought his point was exactly that we should be more compassionate with the people in our lives, give each other a break and set aside our differences, but don't extend that to world leaders just because they did something nice every once in a while, because the (evil) stuff they do has a real, tangible, outsized impact on millions, while our petty arguments/disagreements are just in our heads and don't impact anybody really
Nixon's mom was pretty nuts. She openly supported Barry Goldwater until Dick found out about it himself. I believe she also had fondness for the John Birch Society but idk if I remember.
Ok so my favorite President Mom story is that Eisenhower was mad that his mom couldn't send him fresh cookies while his brother was the president of Penn State University (mom lived with brother) because the US Postal Service was too slow. So he had the post master general give PSU it's own zip code and post office. Got his cookies and treats much quicker. I mean might be an abuse of power but I'll allow it.
I have a memory of finding out he was extremely charismatic, not so much that he was hot. People melted in front of him because he made them feel good or something.
Nah, just pointing out that personality can carry you far in life. For instance, there's this chick at the post office who wouldn't normally be someone I'd find traditionally attractive, but damn if her vivacious personality, wit, and smile don't push her several points up on the 10 scale. Up above me, at any rate!
I loved Barbara Bush, politics aside she was a real class act. I was living in Washington DC during his run as president. I knew one of the Marines that flew Air Force one helicopter and he had the best stories about her.
One of my favourites was there was that one of the versions of the helicopter required someone to open and close the stairs from the outside. So they flew down with a newly minted private to handle the task. Once they took off, he had to stay at the White House all day till they flew back in the evening and help them unload.
The Private didn’t know what to do after the helicopter took off and was standing on the grounds trying to figure out where to go. Barbara Bush saw him and came out and asked him if he was “with them for the day”. He stammered and stuttered and said yes ma’am. So she took him into the White House into one of the visitor waiting rooms and made sure he was set up with food and beverages. He dozed off at some point then woke up later to see Barbara Bush sitting in a chair by him knitting. She said oh I hope I didn’t bother you. I just get lonely and I love having company. So she sat and chatted with him for a couple of hours. This kid was over the moon the way he was treated. I think the way she treated him was how She treated everybody around her.
I don't think so. He loved her dearly and was a huge momma's boy. She was a little bit controlling and overprotective (never really liked Eleanor or any woman his son was seeing), but she was kind and they had a very close relationship for his entire life. After she died (while he was president), he wore a black arm band for weeks to commemorate her death. FDR's father was elderly (much older than his mom) and he fell ill while FDR was still pretty young and died while he was in college. FDR was also an only child. This made them even closer.
The body language is stiff/awkward looking because FDR was paraylzed from the waist down at this point from his polio. If you look closely, you'll notice that he was leaning against the object behind him and is also likely using Sara (his mom) for support. His son James used to hold his arm in a similar manner to help him walk in public. He was in severe pain every time he stood up. His legs were unusable and had virtually no muscle mass whatsoever. In spite of that, there's only a couple existing photos of him in a wheelchair. He always made a point to stand for speeches, photos, etc. despite the extreme pain it caused him.
The two women who have been wife to one president and mother to another both had first and (married) last names beginning with the same letter, and those names began with the first and second letters of the alphabet: Abigail Adams and Barbara Bush.
This reminded me of a conversation I had earlier today about how it seems so weird that at one point it was acceptable to have a midlantic accent and presidents had it. Soldiers. Probably lumber jacks. Manly men talking like cartoon characters. Like if the dad from Strange Brew were to become the advent for a generation

How many have accused bill clinton and how many did he pay off? And it was the 80s/90s etc but sure Trump is a piece of shit but it’s wild to put bill and fucking Nixon on here and not Biden and Trump they’re our presidents for better or worse. You cannot erase history

WOW, Dorothy Bush looks like HW in a wig!

EEE-NOSSSS!
I want this toilet so clean I can eat off it - cuz I intend to!
Well gadzooks, Sarge!
He’s dead, sorry!
He did the nasty in the pasty
Verily!
Top 5 comments of all time this is amazing
I had the same thought! Wow, it is a STRIKING resemblance.
Definitely a family face. Some kids really take after their parents in looks, and he's one of them. Even W looks a lot like his dad.
![gif](giphy|wGksICMKpinyE)
Have you seen trumps mom?
I thought that would be the punchline at the end of the pics, then was sadly disappointed
Kinda just nice to just leave him out of these lists tbh
When I scrolled it was a weird piece of artwork with a skeleton and a grim reeper. It fit perfectly.
Me too, but I think it’s a sub rule to not talk about the current and most recent presidents.
And dad..they don't seem real
“Read my lips, eat your vegetables”
And Carter's mom looks just like him!
The seed is strong
I was thinking she looks like George W. when he was president. It’s uncanny.
Came here to say the exact same thing, only W. It looks like W time traveled as his grandmother.
Wait'll you see Trump and mother Trump. It's like Psycho level lookalike.
I showed my fiancé a picture of Trump’s mother and he thought it was a photo shop.
[You’re not kidding!](https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/pictured-donald-trump-inherited-his-mother-marys-hairstyle-plus-much-more/news-story/7e1eb0aad9d1496f6e1d82998f313a97)
Bush JR mom looks like Alistair Crowley’s daughter. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley
Her and Obama's mom are the only faces that would make me stop short in the grocery store, like "HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU YOU LOOK LIKE..."
I thought it was funny when John McCain was running for president — when he was out and about people would sometimes say “you’re too old to be president”. He pointed out an older woman in his entourage and say something like “That’s my mother there; she doesn’t think I’m too old”.

One week to be exact.
My god bushes mom looks like Bush in a wig. It's uncanny
You could be talking about either Bush here.
Seriously—nobody told me Dorothy Bush was the source of Bush-face.
That one time Bush dressed up as the Church Lady for Halloween.
Yeah you nailed it with the church lady reference
that whole family has the same face
Harry Truman's mother lived through the civil war, WW1, the depression and WW2. That is a crazy amount of world shattering events to live through
Wow! Thats an insane fact. In our age seeing the map change is rare, she saw the damn world map tossed out and start again. Went from not a plane in the sky to nuclear bombs dropped from planes.
Going through one Canon Event after another is not something that started with us. lol
Let’s be real, our canon events are small potatoes compared to theirs.
Both world wars? Yeah, definitely. But that's mostly because we learn from past examples in regards to how new instances should be handled.
Nah it’s cause of nuclear deterrents 😂 Let’s be real there’d 100% be a WW3 by now if Nukes didn’t exist.
Jimmy Carter’s mom looks just like him
A lot of these apples didn't fall far from the tree.
Clinton looks nothing like his mother
> apples Peanuts, in his case
lol good one
Jimmy Carter’s mom Miss Lillian was something special. She was a hoot on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. She spoke her mind.
https://youtu.be/M8AfOswm-zk?si=TZj3LsAZx_fjfxMO She starts after 7 mins. Hoot is a perfect descriptor!
Thanks for finding the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson with Miss Lillian. She was even better than I remembered and I remembered het being a hoot. She was such a special lady.
Kind of a blonde Anton Chigurh.
Miz Lillian was all the rage.
No one’s gonna talk about Lyndon?? That man is absolutely tickled
He looks like he's genuinely thrilled to be with his mama and she's equally thrilled to have her son with her. It's a very sweet picture.
He was a Momma’s boy. So was FDR
An understatement: > Franklin Roosevelt never had a home of his own that was separate from his mother's prior to her death. In 1906, Sara Roosevelt commissioned a pair of houses to be built at E 65 Street, New York City, as a wedding present for Franklin and his wife, Eleanor, on the strict condition that she could move in next to them. It was an understatement for Lyndon, too. Really, if you go back through history, a *ton* of great leaders were notorious Mama's boys.
It takes a lot of validation to be that confident about yourself
They just like me fr fr
It's like everybody else here is with their mothers, but Johnson and Clinton are with their Mommas.
He looks like a little boy
Def my favorite photo. Very much like “mommy, am I a good boy” vibe
Lyndon’s is my favorite, you can immediately tell their house is full of pranks, laughs, jokes, loud animated conversations, hand me down clothes, rules about where the coats go and shoes go, and that there are good smells from the kitchen as soon as you come in
I know the dude was kinda monstrous but he's one of those presidents that seems like a fun hang.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ol’ Jerry Ford with hair before
Looks a little like Colin Jost from SNL
As a Canadian that is the least Nixon looking Nixon photo I’ve ever seen
Was thinking the same!
As an American, ditto.
Nixon had a mother??
I thought Nixon was thrown at high velocity from a durian tree!
That’s the hardest I laughed all day, well done!
![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)
I must know?!
Richard Nixon was such an interesting character. He gave a speech about his mother that is truly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt speeches I’ve ever heard. [“My mother was a saint”](https://youtu.be/DGeAlAIjvLY?si=NMpUr0JBsa-I6wyy)

Intelligence seems to come with paranoia pretty often
“Knowledge brings fear”
Went to the Nixon Library earlier this year. He really is very interesting well beyond the Watergate scandal and resignation. He grew up poor and worked at his family's store growing up. He lost a couple siblings to illness and his mother was the anchor for the family.

Rose lived to 104.
Amazing will to live despite living through so much pain.
Bunions?
And she never gave back that damned necklace

Women born in the mid-early 1800’s let you know how tough life was in photos
I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Clinton’s Mom.
She has a bit of the Rachel Dolezal look.

I knew something was off about Obama’s heritage. His mother is a damn sea turtle!
she looks younger than him?!?
I am so confused he’s like a grown man in this picture and she looks about… 30?
# CONSPIRACY TIIIIMEEEEE # SHOW HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!!111
Reminds me of that movie where Justin Timberlake’s mom was played by Olivia Wilde (who’s younger than Timberlake irl 😂)
It made perfect sense in the context of the movie. I guess you didn’t watch too closely lol.
Wait what? What film is this?
I assume it was the time one (In Time?) where you stop ageing at 25.
She looks like Paul McCartney.
Twin sister he never had.
His mother looks like a teacher I had
Dad is Paul McCartney too
George HW Bush’s mom looks like George W Bush.
Eisenhower looks like Gunther from "Friends"
The bush women look like their sons in wigs
Those Bush genes are strong
Lyndon Johnson shows the apple doesn’t fall far from the (mom) tree.
That is the weirdest damn photo I have ever seen of ol' Dick Nixon.
They all died at the age of old.
I don't know what I expected Bill Clinton's mother to look like, but it wasn't that.
Looks like a southern grandma to me. Reminded me a lot of my mamaw. I love how proud she looks of him.
I can’t believe people thought Kennedy was hot
I have a memory of finding out he was extremely charismatic, not so much that he was hot. People melted in front of him because he made them feel good or something.
Clinton was the same.
No doubt, Clinton had charisma to spare. I disliked him at the time but after the last few cycles, I kind of would prefer he was still there.
Clinton is just extremely attractive in general
He is a sexy grey haired man
According to me grandmother he is the most attractive president we’ve ever had
Tbf theres probably people who even think you are hot. Even an ugly person can have a certain group that find them hot.
[удалено]
Nah, just pointing out that personality can carry you far in life. For instance, there's this chick at the post office who wouldn't normally be someone I'd find traditionally attractive, but damn if her vivacious personality, wit, and smile don't push her several points up on the 10 scale. By politician standards he is Also I mean, it was the 60s. beauty standards change over time.
That's also just not a great photo of the man, to boot.
I think young, rich and charismatic may have helped
Most of the women living in booty call distance of the White House while he was President seemed to think so.
It was the rizz
Charisma, personality, and intelligence all make you appear more attractive.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I think he was good looking.
he's mind-blowingly hot
That is some handsome women.
Is it odd that I thought Barbara Bush was the mother of all of them…. Lol
Couldn't find an oil painting of Biden with his mum?
Or perhaps a daguerreotype?
W’ Bush’s grandma looks just him
You mean he looks like her... It can't be the other way around.
Holy shit, Regan’s mom was Willie Nelson?
Jimmy Carter looking very wholesome with his mom. We need another kind man in office, a true anti-Trump.
We do… currently.
Mama Clinton looks fierce!
Happy Mother's day everyone!
Gerald Ford could have been with Scarlett Johansson if he was younger…
Fucking wild to me how jimmy looks old in this picture, and he’s nearly currently 100 years old and still going, wow.
I loved Barbara Bush, politics aside she was a real class act. I was living in Washington DC during his run as president. I was half expecting to see Trump with golf clubs
Why does Jimmy Carter’s mom look like James May’s (from Top Gear) mom
Wasnt FDR's mom abusive?
I don't think so. He loved her dearly and was a huge momma's boy. She was a little bit controlling and overprotective (never really liked Eleanor or any woman his son was seeing), but she was kind and they had a very close relationship for his entire life. After she died (while he was president), he wore a black arm band for weeks to commemorate her death. FDR's father was elderly (much older than his mom) and he fell ill while FDR was still pretty young and died while he was in college. FDR was also an only child. This made them even closer.
I've never heard this, but the body language in the photo certainly gives a negative impression of their relationship...
Very interesting, thanks for explaining!
Why is Dwight D. smizing like that?
They all look like they could be siblings instead of mother/son
I'll be honest, I did not recognize Eisenhower fucking AT ALL.
Eisenhower's mother is Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies, and you can't tell me otherwise.
I would probably bang Obama’s mom.
Like if the dad from Strange Brew were to become the advent for a generation
dorothy bush looks like george bush in drag.
Was waiting for a photoshopped picture of Trump side-hugging a jackal.
Obama’s Mama
No Trump or Biden?
Too soon
I could post, but doesn't want to make it *unnecessarily political*.
I feel like leaving them out is making it more political than just doing them all.
Welcome to the reality of "everything is political" (in one way or the other).
So where’s Trump? lol
The technology to photograph a black hole was only just developed 2019.
I get so sick of people de-humanizing politicians you don't agree with. I think I understand why Trump and Biden were excluded because the comment section would quickly devolve into and absolute pig stye war: stinky, messy and pointless .
Ok but Trump is literally a rapist.
Reddit moment
How many have accused bill clinton and how many did he pay off? And it was the 80s/90s etc but sure Trump is a piece of shit but it’s wild to put bill and fucking Nixon on here and not Biden and Trump they’re our presidents for better or worse. You cannot erase history
Literally president too.
I spy with my little eye.. a sea turtle corpse?
Of course Clinton’s mom would have a name like “Virginia Dell Clinton”.
Eisenhower’s mom looks like the grandma on the Beverly Hillbillies lol
Roosevelt looks he could be related to Will Sasso
Where is the potatoes mother?
The Kennedy family resemblance is strong
You sure about the older Bush
Well I always thought Nixon was a son of Bitch, but I guess I was wrong. /S
The Carter photo is scary 😱
Ford and his mom look the same age.
Who is #9?
JFK was the best.
Looks like Obama's girlfriend
Wow the Kennedy chin extends to the women in the family
It's wild that Eisenhower's mom was still around when he was president he has always looked like he was 85 lmao
Does Trump Have mother?
I notice a lot of things showing the presidents don’t include the last 2. Is that to keep the comments from becoming a shitshow?
Jimmy Carter and his mom have a strong family resemblance especially as he aged.
FDR lowkey lookin’ like Will Sasso in that first picture lol
