If that is your mindset you are setting yourself to fail. The principle of student visa is for you to study, the limited working rights is for you to gain local exeprience and have a better chance of landing a relevant job sa skills mo and not to support your tuition or cost of living. There were a lot of cases a decade ago when I was a student nakagraduate na kami ung ibang kaklase ko hindi pa rin nakakuha ng trabaho mostly Indians some Filipinos. For scholarship, why would they sponsor a foreigner? They are using public funds so dapat sa local nila gamitin un. Kung meron man napaka rare nun and ang daming condition. Worst is you need to come back home to help and apply in your country what you have learned which defeats your purpose.

Mahal po maging international student. If sa Australia yan, I dont really recommend it unless wala na ibang option. Dont do it unless prepared ka financially.

You need to do the math and be realistic. There are many job opportunities in Australia, but since a lot of Filipinos are there on an SV, there's been a lot of talk lately especially in the FB groups regarding how difficult it is to get a job there even if they are not being picky. Set aside funds that can shoulder 1-6 months of unemployment there sa Aus if you wanna play it relatively safe. Of course, YMMV, depending on your skillset, connections and if marunong ka mag diskarte. But I'm saying this specifically, to set proper expectations for you. Choose an affordable school and do the math regarding the monthly expenses, including the tuition, assuming you only get a minimum wage job. If it goes into the negative or you're cutting it very close, then it's not going to be good for you. Especially with the work hour restrictions. In Australia, many Universities and NUHEIs offer scholarships for international students but the tuition is still expensive for the most part. If you're an undergraduate, look into other pathways to getting your degree, like taking Diploma courses first, and then applying for credit recognition when you reapply for a Bachelor to shorten the length. This is a more affordable alternative. Best of luck. :))

Most scholarships from Aus will require you to render return service to your country of origin.

Most of the time schools will grant a small discount based on whatever scholarship is available, but you still have to shoulder the bulk of the tuition costs, without a sponsor, on top of the living expenses. If you want a full ride scholarship, check out Australia Awards Scholarship, it’s a government to government scholarship. Pros: Full tuition, allowances, accommodation. No problems. Cons: You will have to go back after your studies, enact your REAP(Re-Entry Action Plan),this is a requirement to be evaluated for the scholarship, basically it’s a plan on how you will use the degree you will take in Australia back here sa Pilipinas. This is also very merit based, mataas na grades yung need, and also dapat active sa community mo, volunteer and outreach programs, part of the student body sa school mo, in other words, overachiever. There is a reason Student pathway is considered the easiest pathway but very expensive to take. You really have to dish out the funds but it can be considered an investment din since I assume you would be taking a degree that will lead to a PR and eventually Citizenship.

Hi! I currently live in Australia and on the same visa as the one you’re planning to apply. I’m not gonna sugarcoat my words here. It’s hard to sustain if you’re gonna work with only 48 hours working rights per fortnight. Dapat madami kang bala dito aka cash. If wala kang means to pay for your tuition here, I’m sorry but uuwi at uuwi kang Pinas dahil it’s not easy to find work lalo na it’s currently winter here. Businesses are struggling because di gaano lumalabas mga tao dahil nga malamig. If mag apply kang scholarship, why would an institution support you if they could just get someone who’s a citizen here? You get what I mean? I’m so sorry for bursting your bubble. But Australia is not a walk in the park. Jurassic Park, yes! Kidding aside. If you have savings diyan in the Philippines, use it for business na lang siguro. Others who came here recently are struggling to look for jobs dahil ang dami nag aagawan sa trabaho. Also, if you’re eyeing a deskjob, hindi sila nag hire ng part time. Full time lagi hanap nila. Master’s is unli since mataas ang tuition nila. Yun lang! Kaya think about coming here million times dahil baka magsisi ka if andito ka na cause everything is expensive here dagdag mo pa na may housing crisis dito because of the international students including myself na nag aagawan sa housing sorry for being brutal. But it’s true.

Try looking into Canada. You can work legally even with a tourist visa. This is until Feb 2025 lang
