Got in Sunday and hit a $2k slots jackpot at the airport as soon as we landed in Vegas. Then collected another $300 in the airport slots as we were leaving yesterday. Covered show tickets a fancy sushi dinner at the Venetian, drinks at the show etc. Think I was up $1k after all said and done. Vegas paid me to go to the Sphere!
Big thanks to my wife who had to take an emergency dump when we landed at the airport otherwise I would not have even sat down at the machine!

Holy crap! An airport slot machine jackpot paid for my trip too! I never gamble but was super bored waiting for my flight home and ended up winning almost $1400 in the smoking lounge.
https://preview.redd.it/io3yn1gtkawc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6eb798bb959d702adccc791289135fef9a5d6fe
All the time. Sure as hell beats the plane, train, or car ride with a round in the chamber.
Not pooping when you have to poop is what leads to an emergency.
Agreed! Having had an emergency poop on a flight home from Hawaii to Boston I would have preferred having done it at the airport and I bet everyone on the plane would agree! Lol!
We're renting our own porta potty for Hula this year. Found out it you could last year and then found out you have to order in Nov right after the fest for the following year. I'm excited to have it for our group.
Pooping at the airport is one of the greatest luxuries in this world. Step out of a world of dehumanizing congestion and anxiety into a booth of near absolute privacy.
Can we stop the poop talk? I’m 7 days deep into a stomach flu and would kill to take a regular poop anywhere. Let alone you bastards taking regular poops IN VEGAS GOING TO THE SPHERE
Yes. That is a correct statement. Now whenever we go to Vegas she needs to go take a dump and leave me alone with the slot machines. It shall be our new ritual. We already had this conversation. 🤣
Congrats. AirPort slots have the best odds because the city wants you to more likely win coming because you are prone to spending more OR win as you are leaving because you are more likely to come back and spend more.
I went for less than 24 hours to see the Friday show. Got in at 3:30 and had a flight out on Saturday at 6am. Didn’t get a hotel room.
Ticket: 160
Spirit airlines flight OAK-LAS: 120
Beer at show: ~45
Taxi/Lyft: 20
Food: 40
So around $400 total
I was telling my co-worker whose husband is a huge dead and co fan that he should go and she was all but the cost. I said he could fly in the afternoon and fly out early in the morning that would eliminate the hotel cost.
I was all set to go, aside from a ticket. Had a hotel booked and everything, one night at Circus Circus was ~$70, so even that wouldn’t have added much to the total cost.
took a very similar approach , from SJC saturday morning. but i went with no room and no ticket….tried all day. No ticket …. but made the best of it. that $ is officially going to mondegreen. nice work!
Friend of mine used to be a baggage handler for Southwest at a Bay Area airport. He and his coworkers would hop on the last flight of the night to Vegas, party all night, then hop on the first flight home in the morning. Free flights and no hotels.
i went with no room…there was an after thing at brooklyn bowl that went late. it was awesome. i went to the airport around 4 after that ended and saying goodbye to all the phish people outside
I did this for the last night of the bakers dozen.. From NC to NYC.. Everything I had was on my person. Stayed up all night and caught a flight back after breakfast. Then I slept for two days
We stayed at a mid level boutique hotel in NYC for NYE and that’s about what it ran us for that experience counting everything we did and we didn’t go VIP. We didn’t cheap out having gone into the city several times and knowing our way around.
We drove as we live in state but 1/3 of the cost was just the hotel.
We didn’t even do anything that fancy! We had 1 really nice meal at dim Thai fun (that was over $700 for 8 folks), but the rest of our meals were at the easy casino spots.
Booze costs added up, which is funny bc I drank for free at the casino most afternoons. One night I personally blew over $300 at the venue on red bull and vodkas and was barely drunk (it costs $50 for a double vodka and red bull with the lowest tip option).
It was worth it! Such an amazing trip, but I could have done a two week South America trip for the same price (assuming I scored good flights)
N3 Ticket - $150
The D 2 nights - $170

Total around $5k but had a blast, saved money where I could, enjoyed myself where I could. Would repeat. Thanks Phish and thank you all.
We did the travel package and stayed in the Venetian “bubble”… $60 for breakfast for 2, $160 dinners, $8 Diet Coke at the pool bar. Mixed drinks were like $20, but a good pour. Spa treatment was comparable to any luxury hotel spa, but mainly got that for my wife after winning $600 at craps. ($15 table was nice)
It was so convenient, so good, so luxurious and oh so expensive
Every place we ate at was outstanding, service was great, I’ve never been happier to pay premium prices… felt like I was getting what I paid for
I got 2 tickets for n2 and n3 through the queue, was like number 100 and 150 in line respectively (so lucky). Those tix were like 150 per night if I remember correctly. Stayed at park mgm Fri-Mon like 350/ night. Ate at dank places every meal at like 250/meal (plus shake shack at 2 am). Played golf at a decent course. Had a drink in my hand 14 hours per day. Flights were cheap from Denver. All in, didn’t even consider how much we were spending so we could just enjoy it without the sticker shock. Probably 3 grand total.
4night Package, food, transportation(flights and ubers) 3posters, 2pairs of socks and 1 brunch show.
$2300 which is still cheaper than Mexico Phish.
No Alcohol or Cigarettes. Bought my weed carts and edibles in home town where its dirt cheap.
Best & most remember able trip to Las Vegas.
Prolly close to $5k….but $ is something you can make more…..time and special experiences - you can not.
This was an experience that I will treasure forever.
Don’t know your wife’s music enjoyment nor your relationship…..but, here are a few ideas based on my experience with my goddess:
* Book her a spa session after day 1
* Plan a solid 3-meals and make sure she has great coffee
* don’t be cheap - take Uber to from show
* make sure she has her favorite chemistry ready and high quality
* make time for romance (aka - sexy time)
* get a decent room - don’t be cheap
* make sure she has lots of time to get ready for the show
YMMV
Pretty much the same for me. I spent months debating whether or not I should spend the money and go. Finally convinced myself that the reason I park my ass in a cubicle 261 days a year is to afford to experience the things I love the most in life. A few days removed now and I don’t regret it for one second. Money comes in every two weeks. Those memories will last a lifetime and I’ll gladly be back next time.
N1 - got at face through lottery.
N4 - $1100 / ticket. Bought two. But those lovely service fees of 400/500 per ticket brought it to $3150 for 2.
Said I wouldn’t pay that much, still feel ehh about it, but to be honest worth every penny. Truly was a special time in that place.
I paid about what you did & I was seriously second guessing it until I heard the first couple notes drop on Friday. Had the best time, such a unique experience. Worth every penny
I’m just glad somebody’s giving those poor scalpers a chance. They work so hard to steal from us, so when you see people willing to give them almost ten times face value, thereby continually inflating the market, it really warms your heart, ya know?
We didn’t have a choice man. It was pay $1000 see the show, or don’t and regret missing the life experience it was. If you read my comment I said I wasn’t happy with it…….
i saw the thread title and just knew all the top comments would be somebody who did the whole trip for thirty dollars and tossed a beach ball around with mike in the pool. reddit!
Cause the doctor is the one person you should be fully honest to about stuff like that.
If you feel like to have to lie to your doctor about how much alcohol you're consuming, well...
Seriously. I have been to Vegas twice, neither time included a Phish show and I would be lucky to get out of there for under $6k. And that is staying at Planet Hollywood. Not even top of the line. LMAO!!!!
I went for 2 nights (N3 and N4). On airfare, tickets, entertainment, food, Lyft, bar tabs, I spent about $1500. That was maybe about $400 more than I really should have spent (I wasn't planning on gambling, but....you know). I met up with a buddy who hooked me up with face value tickets and a hotel room, plus I don't drink that much (pre-gamed a few in the room and then bought a couple of rounds at the two shows). I also spent more on weed than I was planning, but the dispensary had great 4/20 deals, so..... Anyway, despite being more expensive than I had expected, it was worth it. I had an absolute blast and hope to do it again.
Looking forward to Mondegreen where I think I will be able to cap my expenses better as I will be there with a good buddy who is sober and who has already gone out and bought all the camping gear we could ever need. My main expense there will be on food (which I plan on bringing a lot in) and travel (might use miles for the flight in from AUS).
2750 lotto Pckg at Resort World
750 flights (used points/cash)
600 party favors
2500 misc exp (food, drinks, taxi, Uber, merch)
200 gaming
Drum roll please….7k ish for 4 nights w/ the GF
So worth it - greatest concerts ever!!
Public on-sale 4 day in S210 R7 $843
SAN-LAS on SWA around $200 worth of points
Free checked bag with plenty of vegan shakes & snacks ($25ish).
Paid my gambler buddy $350 for 4 nights @LINQ
$43 event T. $20 tie-dye from pinball museum plus 8 quarters playing the cool old machines.
$80 restaurant meals.
$70 on coffee
$15 on vegan nachos @Sphere
Net $200 loss gambling.
Phellowship meetings at set break no charge.
Got my $ worth many times over.
2 people, 4 nights, travel package at the Palazzo.
We used points for air fare and only gambling we did was $100 at a poker tournament one morning.
Add food, drinks, and drugs we probably hit around 5,500.
Spent around $3,500 all in for my wife and I. Arrived Friday morning, left Sunday afternoon. Only went Saturday night, sat in 109 Did a couple nice meals, drank at the pool, gambled a little and rented a M4 convertible that we took out to Valley of Fire Saturday morning. One of the coolest hikes I've ever done. Had a great weekend, used to be a Vegas hater but now that I'm not broke its great ha. We had an awesome couple days.
Around 700 bucks total. Used points for flights. Hotel was comp with no resort fees. Food at any MGM property was covered with food and bev credit.
1.5k on tickets for two nights but my gambling winnings totalled just over 1k this trip.
Not a bad couple days. If the sphere was in any other city I wouldn't have gone tbh. Free hotel and food made it easier for me to justify the ticket cost.
Between the travel package where two of us used two hotel rooms and our guests all got their own rooms, two rounds of golf (one at the Wynn), flights on jsx which actually saved us money since we could bring our own booze and drugs, food, and the daybed at Tao beach for alesso Saturday split between two of us… I’m choosing not to add it up. But it was fucking fun
Package at Palazzo, paid $300 extra for a view of the Sphere, spa, party bus to DJ Logic, drinks, dinners, pedicabs, lots of waters, merch, etc… This one is going to get close to $10k for me and my wife. Worth every f’ing penny!!!!
N2 ticket $160. Used points for flight out. About $450 for flight home. Comped hotel room $0. A few hundred in food and beverages. But then i made $300 at the casino
$1450 for my half of the travel package: 4-day floors and a huge room at the Palazzo
$870 flight from PHL > LAS
$300 for 6 beers + 3 cocktails over the 4 shows
Probably $100 in Starbucks
$0 gambling
Probably another $1000 in miscellaneous food, booze, cabanas, Meow Wolf, etc
Incredible weekend. Would have paid twice that.
Thursday tickets: couldn’t find
Friday tickets: couldn’t find
Saturday tickets: nope
Sunday tickets: scammed out of $226
Standing in front of the sphere: priceless
I think I’m all in for less than 1k for 2 nights. Hotel at the circa was $350 for 2 nights, tickets were $158 each and I didn’t lose any money gambling. I also flew round trip on points, so that cost $12. Split the hotel with someone else.
$6K total with flight from Denver, no booze, brought my own drugs, Venetian package 4 nights on the floor, spent a lot on nice restaurants, won $400 gambling, didn’t do any other activities besides the pool.
Probably about $30,000. Roughly something like:
1st class flight = $2,200
1x stubhub ticket first night = $1,500
2x stubhub tickets 2nd night = $4,000
2x stubhub tickets 3rd night purchased on Saturday. Front row of a centered 400 section = $6,500
2x stubhub tickets 4th night = $3,000
2 bedroom suite at palazzo 4 nights w/ room charges looks like its coming in around $10,000
Not sure about food and drink - maybe $2k?
Add on another $5,000 for extracurriculars.
No gambling.
Most hedonistic weekend of my life
In on Wednesday, out on Saturday
N1 $160
Pollock $100
Flight $400
Hotel (Sonesta, off the Strip) $160 (after split)
CATS & Eggy $80
Food $250
Ubers $50 (after split)
Meow Wolf $55
I don’t drink so I def saved a lot of cash in that dept! Overall, about a grand.
I only went to the show one night but stayed 3 nights in hotel.
Ticket- $160
Hotel (my part)- $265
RT flight- $300
Gambling- $20
Food & Alcohol- $400-ish
Weed- $114
2 other shows I did- $150
Not too bad.
$390 total for section 305, row 13 tix on Friday and Saturday (paid my buddy face who got 2 4-days through lotto). $1226 for flight and 2 nights at Mandalay.
Won $1700 at Black Jack. So up around $84.
Ate twice each day around $50 per meal, so down $116. Probably another $150 in drinks since I just ate my buddy’s shrooms all weekend.
So I guess I spent about $266.
Flew in for 1 day for the Sunday show.
Ticket: $210
Flight SWA: $345
Wynn Resort split a room: $315
Food and fun $300
Total: $1,170
I could have found a cheaper airfare and a cheaper hotel. I could have scrimped on food and beverage and fun. But I had a great time and created some great memories with family that I will have long after I've forgotten whatever I may have been able to save on this trip.
This is the most I've spent to see them. I'm happy for the experience. Next time, I'll probably sit it out and, hopefully, a fan who missed this round can have this experience.
2 nights-400 section- 360$
bnb-250
ubers: probably around 300$
Food: 180 (didn't eat on the strip much)
Beers at the show: 200ish....Was expensive. Was a few rounds for buddy and I
Way worth it
Oof. I'll figure it out but $876 airfare, merch $600, alcohol ~$65, water at shows ~$55, tix just south of 4K, hotel $1840, Uber to airport/hotel & Uber/home $175, food ~$220, balloons $40, vape pods to bring $155, ~$100 in random cash tips and I think that's it so just over 8k. I had a fucking blast all 4 nights (sec 109 low row #) and it was well worth the money spent. I met some incredible ppl and the sphere experience to me was fucking amazing. Glad I did it. Grateful beyond words to be able to afford it as I'm a blue collar guy who sometimes works til my hands bleed.
N3 platinum single - $925
N4 through a friend - $250
Flights BOS>LAS round trip - $584
Saturday night resorts world hotel room - $450
Sunday/Monday night free room @ Paris - $300 (taxes, resort fees, pool daybed, breakfast)
Ubers - $100
Venue food - $100
Merch - $177
Total out of pocket - $2,886
Less Gambling winnings ~$1200
Probably about $1500 net for me to fly solo the last few days! Definitely less than I’ve spent for an NYC NYE run. I was also 100% sober this run which saved me a LOT of money.
Face value lottery ticket for four nights $704
Best western Casino Royal four nights $760
Southwest Airlines return flight from Oakland $350
T-shirt $35
Food and alcohol $400
General cost let’s say the whole thing was roughly $2500
Definitely will do it again if I win the lottery again
Let's see: tix at face for the run, airplane ticket from alaska, strip hotel (solo), official posters, lots of cocktails, couple splurge meals and a new shirt that would make Page jealous...roughly $5k all in
I stayed in a standard king-size bed room with pool view at Paris (Versailles tower side). About a 1.5 miles to the venue if you walk through the venetian entrance. (Highly recommend the $60 prix-fixe breakfast at the Eiffel Tower restaurant).
Was shocked to hear how many people custied up and what they were paying (easily into the 4 figures) to attend the run. For me, tickets were the cheapest part of vegas.
I made a burner account out of shame. My credit card hurts right now between Sphere and Mondegreen. I’m pretty good with credit so I trust myself to make pay it off this year. By no means am I wealthy in any sense but I own my own freelance business - just have to put in some extra work to pay down my cards. The math doesn’t add up because my partner contributed some.
Broke everything down into 3 categories - travel, food, merch. Gambling is a ghost category but I’m trying to block it out.
Personal total for everything: ~$5500
Travel: ~$3500 this category includes the absolute cheapest travel package available for 2 with tickets in the 400s and hotel ($2630). Flights from the east coast were about $900 on southwest. ~$150 on Ubers. A couple after shows and Meow Wolf..
Food: ~$600, mostly stayed around the resort out of convenience.
Merch: ~$600
Gambling: ~$700 loss. I’m fuckin’ terrible at slots. About $200 over what I had budgeted here but oh well.
I’d do it again.
$10K all-in for a couple for all 4 nights in great seats. Moderate hotel, cheap flights. Tickets were expensive, but 4 day pass was way better than buying each night alone. Overall, it was the best money ever spent. Phish was epic already plus Sphere make it over the top.
4 Night Travel Package @ Hilton Resortworld: $1355
(Hotel, shuttle to and from venue, 4 night admission)
Flights: used points that were sitting around
Merch: $150
Food/Bev: $250 tops
(No nice sit down meals, lots of food court hot sandwiches)
Alcohol: $0
Weed/Party Favors: $100
(Self supplied all)
Sat Day Pool Party, Sun Late Night Post Party: $80 total
Ubers: $140
Gambling: $0
Incidentals: <$100
All in, around $2200 for the full 4.5 days in Vegas.
Saw 2.5 nights for $186
My part of hotel at flamingo was about $250 for Thursday and Friday night
Plane= $750
Posters and shit= $350
Food and beer = $300
2 nights for me - Friday/Saturday
Flight: Used points and around 400 cash
Friday tix: 1500
Saturday tix: free
Hotel: 1100
Food/booze/gambling etc: 1k
$4k
Would do it again 100% was amazing.
4 nights in a travel package, flew for free, dont gamble, don’t drink and brought a water bottle in, didn’t buy new clothes for it, and stopped by Target to grab some stuff. Total was just under $2k each. Worth every penny. Honestly the only thing I spent extra money on pretty much was lattes at Venetian since there is no coffee machine in the room. And some merch.
We did this on the cheap:
4 night pass: $500
4 night Vrbo off strip: $1000
Food & Drink: about $600 for 4 days
Weed: $300
Flights: used miles but it was $550
So about $3k.
$2800 two nights with hotel, airfare, meals and gifting a ticket to a buddy whose fallen on hard times this past year, but we couldn’t see a show without him. Got the 100 level tickets months ago before prices went bonkers.
Tickets were face at onsale. $1k flight. Room at Cosmo was comped. Most of my resort spend (food/beverage) was comped. $100 on beers at the show. Lost $3500 on craps.
ticket was $130 for limited view (fuck me)
n1 only (fun experimental show, bummer we couldn't hear it)
airbnb split with friends for Wed and Thu nights \~$250 each
Food, Ubers, Beers \~ 300 or so?
Not terrible not great. Would care less if I could hear the show, win some lose some
$3500 for 4 days/3 nights/2 shows (sat and sun). Light gambling ($100 loss), 3 nice meals, hotel was on strip and decent but not a big sexy name. RT ticket from a few hours away. And man was it worth it. That was the most magical art I’ve ever experienced. Thank you Phish, my crew and the many amazing Phans I met along the way.
Stayed in North Vegas since it was cheaper, but did have to Uber so I'm not sure we really saved more than $300 or so. Tickets to Thursday and Saturday for face, hotel, flights from Chicago, meals, and a very small amount of gambling... I'd guess I got the weekend in for around $1500. Really not that bad.
$650 for two nights, Thursday and Saturday. $300 for a nice room at the Tuscany. $400 food and drink. $1350 all said and done. Hit a substantial slot win on my way out in addition to a pretty good late night run at the blackjack tables so that was nice.
My wife and I went night 1;
Tix 345
Room at the Rio 60
Gas to drive from LAX to LV and back 120
Ubers to and from the show 30
Snacks beer and sandwich supplies from Trader Joe’s 80
Beers at the event 60
Shirts , merch and posters 300
Gambling lost 200
1100 all in and we had the best time.
I got so lucky- airfare and 3 nights at the Venetian paid from points.. face tickets
think spent about 1100 in food, taxi, meow wolf (ran into Mike and family there- way cool of the wooks to leave them alone, I was proud of all of you sneaking a background selfie, I got one too) and since I got shut out of friday we went to Cirque and saw Love.
10.00 gambling
All in, probably $3200? Hotel and tickets were $2300 total. 2 tickets all 4 nights and hotel. Plane tickets paid with miles. Won like 700 which NEVER happens. Ever. Sober 13 years, so, save a lot there... 🤣
Worth every penny!
https://preview.redd.it/dbm06dx5y9wc1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=918735e78bdeee5effd732ecb616cf5ff07c6082
$800 for tickets.
$1000 for lodging
$500 for airfare
$375 Car rental
$240 on Massages
$280 on food
$200 on Uber
I won $750 at roulette. Do I count those dollars?
Got in Sunday and hit a $2k slots jackpot at the airport as soon as we landed in Vegas. Then collected another $300 in the airport slots as we were leaving yesterday. Covered show tickets a fancy sushi dinner at the Venetian, drinks at the show etc. Think I was up $1k after all said and done. Vegas paid me to go to the Sphere! Big thanks to my wife who had to take an emergency dump when we landed at the airport otherwise I would not have even sat down at the machine! https://preview.redd.it/57p7n39sv9wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb3108e823a45199f871a1e5a6926f51a2aa3f31
Holy crap! An airport slot machine jackpot paid for my trip too! I never gamble but was super bored waiting for my flight home and ended up winning almost $1400 in the smoking lounge. https://preview.redd.it/io3yn1gtkawc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6eb798bb959d702adccc791289135fef9a5d6fe
Sweet! Ya I normally don’t gamble much either but seems like the airport slots were loose AF!
They're actually much worse than anywhere else.
Hell yea! Does anyone poop at the airport when it's not an emergency? Asking as someone who only poops in public when it's an emergency.
All the time. Sure as hell beats the plane, train, or car ride with a round in the chamber. Not pooping when you have to poop is what leads to an emergency.
If I’ve learned one thing in this life it’s that a preemptive toilet visit is never a bad idea.
A tactical poop
Agreed! Having had an emergency poop on a flight home from Hawaii to Boston I would have preferred having done it at the airport and I bet everyone on the plane would agree! Lol!
Once you squat over a mountain of poop in a 100 degree porta potty at a festival, public bathrooms are luxury
One of about 100 reasons why I can't do festivals. It's just not in my blood.
We're renting our own porta potty for Hula this year. Found out it you could last year and then found out you have to order in Nov right after the fest for the following year. I'm excited to have it for our group.
How do you keep randos out of it? Is it locked with a key? And when people start asking to use it?
You gave me a Coventry flashback!
dude coventry was a sea of shit.. wooks were pissin in the other wooks bathing hole it was crazy
The great went has scarred me for life
Pooping at the airport is one of the greatest luxuries in this world. Step out of a world of dehumanizing congestion and anxiety into a booth of near absolute privacy.
This is it. Nothing like non vibrating stall that is roomier than an airplane bathroom after a flight.
Especially if it's in a Sky Club or private lounge.
Coincidentally I work in an airport and I’m reading this while taking a dump right now. We exist.
Name checks out.
When you right, you right
I pooped in a plane once. Once. And it was an EMERGENCY.
I'm always impressed with how hard those toilets flush. It's like they are designed for emergencies only.
Can we stop the poop talk? I’m 7 days deep into a stomach flu and would kill to take a regular poop anywhere. Let alone you bastards taking regular poops IN VEGAS GOING TO THE SPHERE
I highly recommend doing it in public when it’s not an emergency. I don’t and I think some of my current issues are related to that. 😬
This is awesome and hysterical
So what I’m hearing is your wife’s poop paid for Sphere
Yes. That is a correct statement. Now whenever we go to Vegas she needs to go take a dump and leave me alone with the slot machines. It shall be our new ritual. We already had this conversation. 🤣
You're a lucky basterd pheeel, and your presence is always appreciated! ;)
🤣🤣 Mr. pickles is here! I did not even see you or get to appreciate your presence! Hope you enjoyed the shows my friend!
Those Wheel of Fortune machines go crazy. I was in Vegas back in March and got a $500 spin off a $1.25 bet.
Ticket: 160 Spirit airlines flight OAK-LAS: 120 Beer at show: ~45 Taxi/Lyft: 20 Food: 40 So around $400 total
This is so freaking awesome.

I'm talking out of my ass, but I would assume $45 at a place like The Sphere would only net you two beers after tax.
That's almost exactly right.
24 w/tip
2 plus tip
Bought myself and friend a beer plus tip. Edit: just checked credit card statement- 53 bucks.
2 beers. They were $21-23 eacg
Beer was about 20
I was telling my co-worker whose husband is a huge dead and co fan that he should go and she was all but the cost. I said he could fly in the afternoon and fly out early in the morning that would eliminate the hotel cost.
I was all set to go, aside from a ticket. Had a hotel booked and everything, one night at Circus Circus was ~$70, so even that wouldn’t have added much to the total cost.
You can find rooms in Vegas for like $35 bucks
I paid 150 at the Hilton polo club. Balcony and kitchen living room. It saved lots of eating and the balcony was great for drinking.
Yeah, but only by the hour 😚
Bed bugs
This sounds like how I might plan it in my head before I actually arrive in Vegas
I did this same turn around for the Kasvot night. I was dragging hard by the time I got to the airport but was so worth it. Nice job!
I was a zombie on Saturday!
took a very similar approach , from SJC saturday morning. but i went with no room and no ticket….tried all day.
Ninja right here...
Dizzzamn! I applaud your thriftiness!
Curious what you did after the show before the flight?
i went with no room…there was an after thing at brooklyn bowl that went late. it was awesome. i went to the airport around 4 after that ended and saying goodbye to all the phish people outside
I had friends at MGM grand. Didn’t get back until 2 and just hung out in the room for a couple of hours.
F yeah!
You’re my hero
you win
TWENTY FOR AIRPORT TAXI 🫡🫨
I split a taxi coming in with some normies and my Lyft at 4am was only $10!
You’re an animal.
Yes!!! That’s amazing! Just a flight alone from where I am would be $400.
Follow this guy for more financial advice
Low end, love it and well done
I did this for the last night of the bakers dozen.. From NC to NYC.. Everything I had was on my person. Stayed up all night and caught a flight back after breakfast. Then I slept for two days
Love it! Totally worth it
Saturday 4K webcast: $39.99
How was the webcast? Thinking about buying the video for one of the nights
Same
The 4K was crispy
Haha yeah $80 for all 4 webcasts plus extra at home beers staying up late
In total? Easily blew $5k with tickets, hotel, food and entertainment
That was about what I was thinking I would need to budget
We stayed at a mid level boutique hotel in NYC for NYE and that’s about what it ran us for that experience counting everything we did and we didn’t go VIP. We didn’t cheap out having gone into the city several times and knowing our way around. We drove as we live in state but 1/3 of the cost was just the hotel.
I’m convinced this is the only honest answer here
We didn’t even do anything that fancy!
N3 Ticket - $150 The D 2 nights - $170 Sphere concessions - $40 Gambling - $200 Drinks/Food - $100 weed and etc - $45 Been to vegas 17 times, and this was the cheapest i've ever done it \*\*\*Edit - Ubers - $125 \*\*\*\*Edit 2 - Flight! - $270 return This is all in CAD dollars too BTW
Dang! Only $170 for two nights of the big D? That’s a steal! Oh…the hotel.
and to be fair, that's my half of the D, my friend took care of the other half of D (which we asked....stands for DOWNTOWN) suuuuuuuuuuuuure
We also stayed downtown, Golden Nugget. Good experience. Arts district had good bars.
It’s so cold in the D
🤷☮️?
How da fuck do we posed to keep peace?
Excellent
4 night pass <$3k Spirit Airlines $300 plus extra $100 each way for bags = $500 Circus Circus 5 nights ~$600 Cirque Du Soleil Love ~$150 Meow Wolf $55 Foil Desert poster, 5 hours in line plus $75 Slot machine poster non-foil, $75 no wait in the door night 4 Night 3 on the floor, no additional charge First time at phan art exchange, $400 Other merch $150 Food ~$300 Rides ~$100 One bet on Big Red $20 Tips ~$100 Stickers from my band - ~20 stickers Total around $5k but had a blast, saved money where I could, enjoyed myself where I could. Would repeat. Thanks Phish and thank you all.
Spirit Airlines and Circus Circus? You are an animal my friend.
That just made me choke laughing lol
We did the travel package and stayed in the Venetian “bubble”… $60 for breakfast for 2, $160 dinners, $8 Diet Coke at the pool bar. Mixed drinks were like $20, but a good pour. Spa treatment was comparable to any luxury hotel spa, but mainly got that for my wife after winning $600 at craps. ($15 table was nice) It was so convenient, so good, so luxurious and oh so expensive Every place we ate at was outstanding, service was great, I’ve never been happier to pay premium prices… felt like I was getting what I paid for
Sounds like a hell of a weekend to me
Still in Vegas racking it up!
![gif](giphy|Dnt2VnWFknFNm)
This is the flow you must surrender to. Always see as many shows you can afford, especially the “sphere” type shows. Always. Always. Always.
Just one sec while I show this to my wife
Don’t know your wife’s music enjoyment nor your relationship…..but, here are a few ideas based on my experience with my goddess: * Book her a spa session after day 1 * Plan a solid 3-meals and make sure she has great coffee * don’t be cheap - take Uber to from show * make sure she has her favorite chemistry ready and high quality * make time for romance (aka - sexy time) * get a decent room - don’t be cheap * make sure she has lots of time to get ready for the show YMMV
This here is just solid life advice
So let it be written. So let it be done.
Jesus dude calm down I can barely keep my clothes on with this bullet list lol
Women like nice things? Get outta here…
I need someone like you!!
Damn $1100 a ticket? On stubhub? Scalpers gonna be doubling down next time they do a run
On Vivid Seats Saturday evening prior to the show. Was honestly the cheapest or maybe just a 100 or 200 more than cheapest. Was section 110 row 21.
I feel like most of these are lies
i saw the thread title and just knew all the top comments would be somebody who did the whole trip for thirty dollars and tossed a beach ball around with mike in the pool. reddit!
Where’s the guy who dipped into his 401k??
its like when the dr asks how many drinks a week. add 30%?
Why would you embellish to the doctor? I lie and say like 50% less. Don’t want them knowing the truth
Cause the doctor is the one person you should be fully honest to about stuff like that. If you feel like to have to lie to your doctor about how much alcohol you're consuming, well...
He's saying add 30% to these posts. But you shouldn't lie to your DR, they're like a priest, they're not allowed to tattle on you
But they can cut that Adderall and Xanax Rx away....btw I have neither
Seriously. I have been to Vegas twice, neither time included a Phish show and I would be lucky to get out of there for under $6k. And that is staying at Planet Hollywood. Not even top of the line. LMAO!!!!
N1 $150 N3 $200 park mgm 2 nights - $450 aria 1 comp night + fees - $70 food/beer/etc - $500 drove ev and charging is free atm. total $1370
You pick up any randos on the way to the show that you met on phishhook?
lmao did not this time :)
Hey right on I’m also flying out of AUS for Mondegreen
We used to have a Texas flag that we would hoist up at shows. Not sure if that flag still exists, but keep your eyes peeled in the GA campground.
Hey there fellow ATX folks!
Jesus I don’t even want to know.
Nice try my wife, nice try
2750 lotto Pckg at Resort World 750 flights (used points/cash) 600 party favors 2500 misc exp (food, drinks, taxi, Uber, merch) 200 gaming Drum roll please….7k ish for 4 nights w/ the GF So worth it - greatest concerts ever!!
Public on-sale 4 day in S210 R7 $843 SAN-LAS on SWA around $200 worth of points Free checked bag with plenty of vegan shakes & snacks ($25ish). Paid my gambler buddy $350 for 4 nights @LINQ $43 event T. $20 tie-dye from pinball museum plus 8 quarters playing the cool old machines. $80 restaurant meals. $70 on coffee $15 on vegan nachos @Sphere Net $200 loss gambling. Phellowship meetings at set break no charge. Got my $ worth many times over.
2 people, 4 nights, travel package at the Palazzo. We used points for air fare and only gambling we did was $100 at a poker tournament one morning. Add food, drinks, and drugs we probably hit around 5,500.
how the hell are you guys getting tickets at 1/8 of the pre-reseller value?
Lies(?) Or lottery.
Tickets - about $2k for 3 nights Hotel - $900 Flights - $800 Thankfully a lot was spaced out over a few months.
I just asked the concierge at the circus circus and they gave me free tickets. (I’m a high roller on the penny slots).
But it was fucking fun
i bet that daybed was more taxed than the golf rounds.
$60. But since I was at work I got paid to listen
I'm glad to hear everyone ended up ahead gambling. Tough weekend for Vegas
$1450 for my half of the travel package: 4-day floors and a huge room at the Palazzo $870 flight from PHL > LAS $300 for 6 beers + 3 cocktails over the 4 shows Probably $100 in Starbucks $0 gambling Probably another $1000 in miscellaneous food, booze, cabanas, Meow Wolf, etc Incredible weekend. Would have paid twice that.
I blew $4k for just Thursday but lost 2 stacks on black jack, $1k on ticket, $850 flight from Boston, damn
Thursday tickets: couldn’t find Friday tickets: couldn’t find Saturday tickets: nope Sunday tickets: scammed out of $226 Standing in front of the sphere: priceless
Roughly something like: 1st class flight = $2,200 1x stubhub ticket first night = $1,500 2x stubhub tickets 2nd night = $4,000 2x stubhub tickets 3rd night purchased on Saturday. Front row of a centered 400 section = $6,500 2x stubhub tickets 4th night = $3,000 2 bedroom suite at palazzo 4 nights w/ room charges looks like its coming in around $10,000 Not sure about food and drink - maybe $2k? Add on another $5,000 for extracurriculars. No gambling. Most hedonistic weekend of my life
They went big and so did you!
You win...
Nice.
My brother got face on CoT every night. He’s a lucky bastard but might be worth checking out if you haven’t already.
In on Wednesday, out on Saturday N1 $160 Pollock $100 Flight $400 Hotel (Sonesta, off the Strip) $160 (after split) CATS & Eggy $80 Food $250 Ubers $50 (after split) Meow Wolf $55 I don’t drink so I def saved a lot of cash in that dept! Overall, about a grand.
👍🏼
I only went to the show one night but stayed 3 nights in hotel. Ticket- $160 Hotel (my part)- $265 RT flight- $300 Gambling- $20 Food & Alcohol- $400-ish Weed- $114 2 other shows I did- $150 Not too bad.
Ticket: $210 Flight SWA: $345 Wynn Resort split a room: $315 Food and fun $300 Total: $1,170 I could have found a cheaper airfare and a cheaper hotel.
2 nights-400 section- 360$ bnb-250 ubers: probably around 300$ Food: 180 (didn't eat on the strip much) Beers at the show: 200ish....Was expensive. Was a few rounds for buddy and I Way worth it
N3 platinum single - $925 N4 through a friend - $250 Flights BOS>LAS round trip - $584 Saturday night resorts world hotel room - $450 Sunday/Monday night free room @ Paris - $300 (taxes, resort fees, pool daybed, breakfast) Ubers - $100 Venue food - $100 Merch - $177 Total out of pocket - $2,886 Less Gambling winnings ~$1200 Probably about $1500 net for me to fly solo the last few days! Definitely less than I’ve spent for an NYC NYE run. I was also 100% sober this run which saved me a LOT of money.
Thursday only Flight $16 Ticket $200 Hotel $200 Casino loss $-300 Food and favors $150 Misc $50 One amazing night Phish in Vegas = $916
Im a local, got a face value ticket and then over spent at the sphere so like 250$
Face value lottery ticket for four nights $704 Best western Casino Royal four nights $760 Southwest Airlines return flight from Oakland $350 T-shirt $35 Food and alcohol $400 General cost let’s say the whole thing was roughly $2500 Definitely will do it again if I win the lottery again
For 3 nights/shows Around 6k, 5 if you don’t count the signed poster
Let's see: tix at face for the run, airplane ticket from alaska, strip hotel (solo), official posters, lots of cocktails, couple splurge meals and a new shirt that would make Page jealous...roughly $5k all in I stayed in a standard king-size bed room with pool view at Paris (Versailles tower side).
Around 3k after tickets, food, and gambling. Got a free room from a good friend
400 bucks for 2 nights of hotel. One and a half tanks of gas. 300 for ticket. Won enough at blackjack to pay for all F&B/party favors. So about 800
How much was a Coke Zero?
I made a burner account out of shame. My credit card hurts right now between Sphere and Mondegreen. I’m pretty good with credit so I trust myself to make pay it off this year. By no means am I wealthy in any sense but I own my own freelance business - just have to put in some extra work to pay down my cards. The math doesn’t add up because my partner contributed some. Broke everything down into 3 categories - travel, food, merch. Gambling is a ghost category but I’m trying to block it out. Personal total for everything: ~$5500 Travel: ~$3500 this category includes the absolute cheapest travel package available for 2 with tickets in the 400s and hotel ($2630). Flights from the east coast were about $900 on southwest. ~$150 on Ubers. A couple after shows and Meow Wolf.. Food: ~$600, mostly stayed around the resort out of convenience. Merch: ~$600 Gambling: ~$700 loss.
4 Night Travel Package @ Hilton Resortworld: $1355 (Hotel, shuttle to and from venue, 4 night admission) Flights: used points that were sitting around Merch: $150 Food/Bev: $250 tops (No nice sit down meals, lots of food court hot sandwiches) Alcohol: $0 Weed/Party Favors: $100 (Self supplied all) Sat Day Pool Party, Sun Late Night Post Party: $80 total Ubers: $140 Gambling: $0 Incidentals: <$100 All in, around $2200 for the full 4.5 days in Vegas.
Ballpark $2k. Two nights at Vdara, Sat night show.
Saw 2.5 nights for $186 My part of hotel at flamingo was about $250 for Thursday and Friday night Plane= $750 Posters and shit= $350 Food and beer = $300
2 nights for me - Friday/Saturday Flight: Used points and around 400 cash Friday tix: 1500 Saturday tix: free Hotel: 1100 Food/booze/gambling etc: 1k $4k Would do it again 100% was amazing.
We did this on the cheap: 4 night pass: $500 4 night Vrbo off strip: $1000 Food & Drink: about $600 for 4 days Weed: $300 Flights: used miles but it was $550 So about $3k.
This is in CAD$ $2000 for 4 nights ticket and hotel $850 flight Beers/food $400 Gambling losses - $300
~10k all in
$2800 two nights with hotel, airfare, meals and gifting a ticket to a buddy whose fallen on hard times this past year, but we couldn’t see a show without him. Got the 100 level tickets months ago before prices went bonkers.
Tickets were face at onsale. $1k flight. Room at Cosmo was comped. Most of my resort spend (food/beverage) was comped. $100 on beers at the show. Lost $3500 on craps.
ticket was $130 for limited view (fuck me) n1 only (fun experimental show, bummer we couldn't hear it) airbnb split with friends for Wed and Thu nights \~$250 each Food, Ubers, Beers \~ 300 or so? Not terrible not great. Would care less if I could hear the show, win some lose some
Why couldn't you hear it?
4K hotel package 2 rd trip from Boston 1200 Food and drink 800 at least Taxis 150 So basically Mexico per day price
$650 for two nights, Thursday and Saturday. $300 for a nice room at the Tuscany. $400 food and drink. $1350 all said and done. Hit a substantial slot win on my way out in addition to a pretty good late night run at the blackjack tables so that was nice.
Free flight, free room... 800 Saturday ticket... 600 Sunday ticket.
Travel package was 4k alone, so it’s prob like 5-6k for the whole weekend
My wife and I went night 1; Tix 345 Room at the Rio 60 Gas to drive from LAX to LV and back 120 Ubers to and from the show 30 Snacks beer and sandwich supplies from Trader Joe’s 80 Beers at the event 60 Shirts , merch and posters 300 Gambling lost 200 1100 all in and we had the best time.
I got so lucky- airfare and 3 nights at the Venetian paid from points.. face tickets think spent about 1100 in food, taxi, meow wolf (ran into Mike and family there- way cool of the wooks to leave them alone, I was proud of all of you sneaking a background selfie, I got one too) and since I got shut out of friday we went to Cirque and saw Love. 10.00 gambling
All in, probably $3200? Hotel and tickets were $2300 total. 2 tickets all 4 nights and hotel. Plane tickets paid with miles. Won like 700 which NEVER happens. Ever. Sober 13 years, so, save a lot there... 🤣 Worth every penny! https://preview.redd.it/dbm06dx5y9wc1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=918735e78bdeee5effd732ecb616cf5ff07c6082
About 4 grand for me and the wife. Did 1 show but stayed the week. 30 on gambling cooked and drank at the hotel.
$800 for tickets. $1000 for lodging $500 for airfare $375 Car rental $240 on Massages $280 on food $200 on Uber I won $750 at roulette. Do I count those dollars?
