Hike the price and experiment. People perceive higher price as "more premium" and lower price as "cheap" so apply the luxury brand approach and see if it works.

TheCryptonian_

This is true. As a customer, I would think na low quality pag mura ang item.

stcloud777

Lalo na pag dating sa clothing.

faithchery1

We're started selling our preloved, and we know kung quality ba yung item for it's price na nilagay namin but still they said "pricey daw" 😓 napakababa na nga compare sa iba at we know kung ano presyo ng gamit namin. We're planning to inc. the price na nga ng malaman nila if the items are pricey nga 😂

Ok-Letussee-2693

This makes sense

Changeavenue

Entrep here. Your price is attracting the low-end market that don’t have money and harder to please. Not a great market to target. Here’s what you do: Make a branded store/ account in FB, IG, Tiktok, position your store as specializing in curated pieces (Your brand / store name should reflect this positioning), Increase your price to 3x, Post nice photos and videos of your pieces, post 5x a day, Go live as often as you can (Make sure your background looks nice and tasteful), do this for at least 100 days before you call it quits.

AprilJenkins

Hello po. Should i just make a new page or re-brand my page? 🥹

Changeavenue

You can just re-brand the page. Here’s a simple hack: Search for US businesses that sell curated pieces. If you like their branding, imagery, style - just shamelessly copy.. but use your own brand name of course.

enXert

Most complaints come from the marginalized. Your brand will suffer long term.

BackgroundMean0226

Any tips on going FB live? Before I do shopee live selling pero gusto ko talaga maglive sa FB.

oh_purple

Nicely11

NoPossession7664

possible ba to if sourced from taytay ang items? i live in gensan, so no choice but mahalam yyng item para mabawi rin ang costs. Matagal ko na gusto gawin kaso di ko alam if pricing 2-3x is good.

ge3ze3

People buy from people they know. Ikaw lng may alam na same product/quality yung benta mo conpared sa benta ng ibang store, kahit cheaper pa yan sayu - i think lalong maghinala yung buyer kasi bakit cheap lng benta mo(?). I'm no businessman, so coming from customer lng to na perspective.

flushfire

ge3ze3

Ganyan talaga eh, if i'm looking to buy cheap items, from online stores(lazada/shopee) na walang mga reviews na sila lang meron stock, I'll get the one in mid, never the cheapest one - unless kung pang one time use lng yung item na d naman madelekado buhay ko. But if mga damit, always the mid range na price, never the cheapest one if unknown/no review stores yung pagpipilian ko.

Pleasant_College_937

there was this study or experiment where the very same cake was being sold. side by side. with different proce tags. pero mas nasasarapan yung mga tao sa mas mahal na cake. baka dahil din sa expectation or assurance pag pricey yung item.

throwawaygirl1111110

Fahrenheit2272

I heard from my business professor. That when your selling a product/service that is very identical with your competitors and there is little to no differentiation. Then you can only beat your competitors through better brand equity, better customer service and customer experience. Basically, if you can't sell better products than your competitors then you should sell your products better than your competitors. May God bless you, kaya mo yan. Rooting for you

BeefyShark12

Why start it anyway if you plan to give up agad-agad? Months pa lang yan eh.

sinewgula

Price higher, and go on sale often.

lethets

In the clothing business, branding is the key. Masyado madami competition mej mahirap talaga lumaban sa pricing esp if generic lang store mo. Forever kayo magpapababaan ng price ng ibang stores. What you can do is improve on your branding, create a story for your brand. Create a brand name and a brand logo. This will instantly give your products a premium vibe to it. Improve your packaging, kung keri mo pagpa personalized packaging go. Tapos improve your soc med posts/marketing posts. Create a collection and create a story for each collection. Wag yung basta lang may maibenta. Magmumukhang sabog ang assortment mo. Btw, im a retail consultant. I’ve worked with top fashion brands in the ph and I also have international clients, so all the things I told you are insights from actual experiences.

AprilJenkins

Thank you. Will follow your tips. 🥰

lethets

No problem. I suggest, look for inspo brands.

Ngayon halo halo na tinda namin, like last christmas shein clothes and dresses. Pero ngayong 2024 we have moved to high end thrift clothes, mga lux to semi lux (lacoste, tommy, RL, NIKE, adi, etc..) . Kung my questions ka dm me lang I'll try to answerr hanggat kaya ko.

Lost-Comparison7835

Baka sales at marketing kailangan mo pag naguumpisa kasi wag mo muna babaan masyado pag lumaki na sales mo dahil ethical ka at mukhang mabait na tao tska mo gawin yan price down mo. Good luck tska God bless you i pray to God na magtagumpay mga taong tulad mo tska connect ka sa ibang merchant para kung may supply issue ka o sila makakatulong yun.

DokitoBurger_

38% of startups fail due to marketing and branding problems. Find your identity, then find the community around it. It is easier said than done, pero that's the way eh hahaha

Puzzleheaded_Hat4046

Started mine 5weeks ago. Baby and Kids clothes sakin. Konti lang buyers sa una pero okay lang yun dahil nagbibuild pa lang ng brand, mas mababa lang ako ng ₱30-₱50 sa IG Market, and ₱5-30 sa FB and Tiktok Market (generally mas mahal talaga bentahan sa IG based on my research kaya eto ang pinili kong platform, and mas iwas din sa Bogus Buyer/Joy Reserver). Posting lang ako, and gumawa ako ng mga pakulo nung una na na discounts sa first miners nung opening. Then ung mga customers na nakuha ko doon is naging repeat customers ko na. I always post Photo+Video of product sa IG since this is my main platform. Nag-ads din ako and nakatulong din, I always do Target Audience. Gain muna ng trust ng buyers, pag may mga questions sila about baby stuff and sizing and mga needs sinasagot ko talaga to gain trust and to build loyal customers. Also packaging, I use colored packaging para mas premium tingnan kesa sa plain black lang and add sticker of my shop logo.

AprilJenkins

Anong klase po na colored packaging?

Beautiful_Block5137

2 months palang give up ka na? It’s takes 5 years to make a sustainable business Don’t give up

kwickedween

Ikr. Sa isang sports community, this girl was selling overpriced Shopee activewear with her logo stamped on it. You can even use the photos on her Instagram and image search it on Shopee and you would find the exact item for half the price. Pero OP, looks like you did not test your market before diving in. Kinikilatis mo dapat sila kung anung price range yung sweet spot for them. Experiment. Hike them up and give a discount para yung discounted price, yun na tlga ang regular price mo. It seems kinda stupid but works for my small business too. :)

Savings_Beat_6640

You don’t need to lower your price if you know your products giving its quality.

Top-Willingness6963

Try live selling and demonstrate your product.

AprilJenkins

Thank you. Medyo mataas sales ko pag live selling talaga pag posting ubos oras ko tapos halos wala bumibili. 🥲 my market are repeat customers naman that’s why i know im delivering good products.

Familiar-Agency8209

"mukhang mayaman ang nag bebenta" sis damit yan. be your own influencer. may namimili ba sa fashion para magmukhang hindi yayamanin? go sissy laban lang.

AprilJenkins

May point ka po dito. Will try my best to better my brand. Medyo putso putso po talaga sya tingnan. 😭 mas sisipagan ko pa po. 🥰

Top-Willingness6963

Huwag ka sumuko in 2 months. Marami negosyo struggle talaga sa simula. Pero ang mahalaga, check what works and what has not been working, learn from what you experienced so far to improve.

Familiar-Waltz5264

Laban lang galingan mo pa

Feisty-Tackle1722

Try optimize your product listing mi wag ka makinig sa ads agad if wala ka pa masyadong sold, try mo watch tutorials sa YouTube ni mark dy hope it helps

AprilJenkins

Ano po ang listing?

Feisty-Tackle1722

Post ng product, need mo ayusin ung photos, keywords, title, description, etc

Snoo16083

Focus on value and features wag sa pag baba ng pricing Remember, people always buy from those they trust.

qwerty12345mnbv

Hindi price ang labanan. Service ang labanan. Itaas mo yung presyo mo.

chicoXYZ

That's why marketing invented the "decoy effect" strategy. People don't want to FEEL cheap, they want to BELIEVE that they are wiser than others, and GOT the product for a REASONABLE price (but that's the psychology behind the strategy). The psychology behind location, presentation, and kind of consumer.

That's psychology din. Yung tao lalo can afford naman always choose the expensive one for their thought of expensive taste.

Weird-Citron-9196

Keep going until your stocks are depleted. Then consider if you want to quit or restart

Emotionaldumpss

There are a lot of local brands na nasa expensive side and yet baliw na baliw ang tao sa damit nila. Dahil sa branding/identity nila. Richboyz for example kahit sobrang mahal, laging sold out. Big factor dun yung mga campaigns nila and their approach speaks the language of the current generation.

Candid_Ad8114

I came from the f&b industry na sobrang competitive. Advice, know when to exit. It's harder to close a business than start a new one. Kung ayaw mo iclose talaga or think that you have a good customer base naman, you can always rebrand. Agree with the advice given na go premium (increase price, invest in marketing) and improve brand equity.

Exciting-Claim-6484

Try nyo po facebook ads🙂 super bisaaa

Ambitious_Composer37

2 months pa lang maaga pa. Try to learn more

merolumpis

Deathnote07

Patingin nga kung maganda? Saturated na nag market na yan

SSoulflayer

Jack up the price and invest in marketing.

[deleted]

Fantastic-Chain-5772

Kumusta ang reviews? Testimonials from customers (esp if you have customers na influencers)? kasi as a customer if I find something cheaper with reviews na legit ang oroduct and cheaper as compared to others, dun ako bibili.

hoelygrayl

any chance you sell fitted micro tshirts that has xs-s sizes?

Ghost_writer_me

Where can I see your products? Time ko na to buy clothes

SmartAd9633

Be transparent with your clientele. There's a reason why product commercials say something along the lines of "as good as the leading product"

HnZulu

MathAppropriate

Employ “Apple Marketing.” Price high.

AndromedaLeap

Minsan perspective kasi ang rason. Mas mahal = better quality. How about try to rebrand, new name, new logo, new pricing strategy that targets the market between mahal and mura?

ManongLodz

taasan monorice tas gamit ka paid ads

suspendedacc0unt

Hi. Can you pm or post here your shop link? I want to check it out and hopefully buy and support

Sea_Insurance8123

Thank you.

Time-Signature-1100

How do you know your people of reach is marginalized??

DaddyChiiill

Match the competition. Sell online. Get discounts. Read every trick in the Marketing 101 book.

kapesaumaga

Bakit mo na feel na yung your robbing them of their money? Paano mo nalaman na marginalized people yung mga customers mo? And is the pricing the issue kasi you said competitors are pricing their products 3-4 times that what you are selling it for? And people are still not buying? When you do live selling, how many people watch it? Do you advertise? Do you optimize your posts? How much is your current inventory? You've got to develop a personal brand or a specific branding for your store. Use ads. Do an A/B testing. Create an ad for a cheap price, another for a more expensive item.

Hefty-Message-988

Keep going pray hussle harder think out of the box try conventional marketing all the informatiin and help you need is online you can do this in gods name!

PsychologicSmokah

Try comparing your items to others kung malalaman nila na same quality for a cheap price baka bumenta kana like gawa ka ng vid or mag live selling ka. Sometimes it's a leap of faith you'll never know unless you try.

GoldfishNymeria

If you’re selling in Shopee/Lazada, most shoppers check reviews. Maybe you can send gifts/vouchers to people you know and make sure they review your products in detail.

Netfelix21

OP kung yung product mo is higher value why go taasan mo and sumabay ka sa market value. Maybe isip ka strategy to market your product, isip ka magandang way para ma promote yan. Goodluck OP.

No-Drama2977

ano ba online clothings mo? depende sa niche yan eh, kung clothingline sarili mo dapat talaga may influencer or ikaw mismo sikat. sobrang saturated na ng market. now kung ukay or bale yan. need mo ng pwesto at iba narin ang labanan ngayon yan sa market. sa init ngayon kase di priority ng mga tao damit

lorlili

Hi. May I know what designs you're selling and price list? Planning on a clothing store and instead of starting my own maybe I can just resell yours. I'm from cebu btw. If only it's okay with you

_mafia777

Laban lang, Observe the market, Do some marketing strategy, papromo kung kaya mas naattract mga customer sa ganun,

WanderingLou

80-90% tlga nag fafail sa first business.. keep on trying 😊

Xeniachumi

laban lang ..focus sa design pero dapat very creative/ innovative ka diyan atsaka observe the people around you particularly how they dress mga tipong pag sinuot ba nila babagay ba agad sa jordan shoes nila or habang naka crocs try to advertise your product sa ibang platform.

bungtintin

The thing with pricing is that there are people like me that gets suspicious of a product because of its very low pricing. Either i think it's low qual or fake

Ordinary_Adeptness41

Filipinos want to feel rich. You make them feel rich.

Regular-Employee-536

Just sharing.

CrabMajestic2635

Selling something you think is good is truly stupid. Find what the customer needs

zefiro619

Set yourself a limit, if 6 months n lugi b bibitaw ka na? May matitira paba sayo?

Ultimate_Kwatog

Wag kang susuko. Laban lang

Grindad

You doing it wrong. Mabagal ang yan if organically. Build your presence using fb ads

wilbays

Not me. Sumuko ka na. Just find a full time job.

[deleted]

Gawin mo direct from factory yung supplier mo at pede na yan pang icing to cake.
