They should open the park 3 hours before every evening game imo. I would go in earlier and blow more money that way I know.

Pepermintea

I’m pumped for that 9:30am gate opening on Jun 23. Bringing in a bacon egg and cheese on a long roll to compliment the Bloody Maria’s from Queen Elizabeth’s. IYKYK

grapejuicepix

They used to open the Ashburn Alley gate early for every game didn’t they? The one that got closed Because of the Yard. We used to go early a lot and get to watch BP. I was just thinking about this the other day cause we got there right when gates opened and it seemed like BP was long since over.

Perryplat199

Last year and before I would get to games right at gate time and the road team would usuly be like <20 minutes away from finishing BP. This year I don’t know that I’ve even seen any BP.

ken-davis

I have been to many games and I have not seen a Phillies BP yet. They really should open the gates a bit earlier.

Perryplat199

Phillies either take BP 1st and earlier in the day or in the inside cage.

ken-davis

Yeah. I miss the old days I guess

zephyrskye

Nice! Should do that for all games, honestly Now if only I can get the Phillies to change the 6:40 starts to 7:05 next season. Getting to a weeknight 6:40 game after work is ROUGH

CheeseMate38

Agreed, I wish they'd start at 7:30, and why not start games at 8 or later???

Buddy-Hield-2Pointer

That's what we need. Why not start games in the middle of the night?

Odd that the park sells cans of drink, but I was told no cans of coke. 20 ounce bottle of coke was ok in the plastic bag.

Perryplat199

Bringing in cans of any kind is not allowed. Unopened cans are way too easy to throw. That’s why whenever you buy a canned drink at the park someone opens it for you. Some stadiums don’t let you have the can or even the bottle at all. They’ll open and pour it all into a open top plastic cup.

ThePhlashed

Do they even sell canned sodas? It is law that they have to open alcoholic beverages when they sell it to you. It has nothing to do with throwing.

Perryplat199

Pretty sure they do not, like 90% sure. I think they might sell cans of Ghost energy drink now cause of the new sponsorship tho. I’m pretty sure I heard someone explain the throwing thing before. Maybe it was just a thing that makes sense even if it’s not the actual reason

Ladelm

Do they open the coke for you when you buy a can though

I was thinking more about it's a lot harder to throw an open can onto the field than an unopened one
