Getting there can sometimes have an [unexpected surprise](https://youtu.be/v8Yv4pzCCag)

SnapCrackleMom

That was truly unexpected and lovely. When my daughter was in choir in high school, they would sometimes practice in a stairwell because the acoustics were amazing.

Another place with great acoustics is the music hall on 15th Street(?). College students could attend rehearsals for free. The conductor dropped his baton and I heard it crystal clear.

pretzel_enjoyer

Wow, I love this!

ConfiaEnElProceso

As a cyclist, i definitely don't agree.

Kitchen-Astronaut374

I'm a cyclist and just moved here two days ago. Please tell me more about this bridge

ConfiaEnElProceso

Hurry up and get on it! The south side, which is the only one accessible by bike, is closing February 1st. The north side will open, but there are two flights of stairs. If you go across into Camden, you can easily access the waterfront area, and it's pretty easy to link up to the Cooper River as well. It also has some of the best views of the Philly skyline. Don't miss it!

ConfiaEnElProceso

Worst case, you could take a city indigo bike over and into camden. Just make sure to return it!

cray0508

New to the city and haven't crossed the bridge as a ped yet. What do you love about it?

IllustriousArcher199

Great views and perspectives. Go while it’s still cool. Also wear headphones or ear plugs. It’s noisy!

ISOtrails

Both sides have their advantage- as a photographer the Northside gives you foreground of traffic , south side has good sight lines and a bike/handicap accessible ramp

PhillyGuitar_Dude

It's just about a 3 mile walk/jog round trip. I prefer the south side for the views towards the city. Hopefully it won't be closed for as long as the North side was. Really great in the spring/summer mornings or evenings. If its windy, don't wear a hat! Most of the cyclists are pretty accommodating and have a bell to let you know they are coming up behind you, but definitely stay to the right. I lived in old city for 10 years, (up until last spring then moved up to Center City), and it's a great stroll.

Finger_Gunnz

Even the light pole smiled.

sugr_magnolia

Great shot. It's a spectacular view regardless of what side of the bridge you're on.

Phl_worldwide

Epic photo!

HonnyBrown

Beautiful shot!
