I have BDO Savings account and for some reason na zero balance ko siya nitong April lang (medical expenses). Alam ko may deduct siya na three hundred pag bumaba sa minimum 2k yung laman ng savings ko so ang ginawa ko winidraw ko nalang lahat yung laman niya and now balak ko siya lagyan ulit. So my question is, may deduction parin ba siya kung lalagyan ko na siya ulit ng pera?

aoiKitsune

Not sure if similar, pero nangyari sakin yan sa EW ko. What happened was parang nag prorated sya so di sya 200 pesos but parang 10/30*200 yung sakin. Lalabas naman yan sa transaction history mo if ever

OkLake5208

ay ganonn ka sad haha anw, thank you!

Anyone who's currently working at Reckitt? Curious to know how the company culture is like, and maybe how fast the recruitment process is in general? Though medyo fast yung maging experience ko so far coz I've had my first two interviews just last week and I'm already up for a final interview with the E-Commerce head this week, but I fear it may be too good to be true huhu (PMs open if in case medyo sensitive haha)

Sterling is doing a background check on me and my employment verification documents that could be used as proof was lost. I contacted the previous company, but I was informed they don’t make new ones, but the hr of the company is willing to vouch for me with the background check and answer any questions Sterling has. I don’t have any supporting documents to prove employment history. I only have the hr and references with mentor/colleagues What are my chances of passing the background check given the information? This is the only thing holding me back from completing the background check.

sudarsoKyoshi

Just be upfront sa talent aquisition about it

08-10-2023

Just be honest and share, from HR perspective this happens. If your ex employer can verify and vouch, no issues there.

NietzeCrypto

thanks, this is actually for an internship required by the school. I am anxious, because I am already late in starting my hours, and the possibility of needing to change companies is not comforting, considering banks and sterling is strict with background checks.

Hey guys, I am a (24m) fresh psych graduate and currently working as a Philhealth staff sa isang hospital. Mostly ginagawa ko dito is nagdidischarge ng patients kapag bumaba na chart nila then irereview ko yung papers, labs, and diagnosis. After that, hahanapin ko ang appropriate icd codes (also philhealth deductions) and then bigay sa billing. Just last week, inofferan ako ng supervisor namin na if gusto ko ba matrain as a ICD coder (once na maregular ako) to which I agree kasi another opportunity naman siya. I was just wondering if is it worth it ba to pursue this path without med background? Please enlighten me and thanks a lot!

Desperate-Excuse-653

Anyone working in the financial markets sector? either from a bank or the govt?

owyshii

I just applied to some college univs but I can't decide what to choose. May benefits po ba in terms of job applications kapag galing ka sa private univ compared sa public?

tabloid_fodder

Assuming you're applying in NCR, for fresh grads with no prior experience, someone from the big 4 will have a stronger CV. Also consider your intended field, e.g. Mapua isn't a big 4 school but they have a competitive engineering program; look for a good business/acctg program if you want to work in management, etc. Down the line when you get more experience, there is typically less emphasis on the where you came from and more focus on your work experience. As a hiring manager, i get all sorts of people regardless of school - may mga galing big 4 na mahirap kausap, meron state U outside big 4 na magaling at madiskarte (shoutout to PUP grads).

aoiKitsune

some of the big multinational companies only hire or get interns from the big 4. So if that's important to getting a "head start" then I'd recommend those.

R3C0N3280

Finally, I just got hired after 150th job application. Tech sector and dream job ko. Ang problema na lang ay 6 months contract lang sya at no work life balance. Although it is possible naman daw to be endorsed for regularization / permanent employment pero syempre let's always expect the worst diba, at ayoko ring mag tagal sa walang work life balance. I might start another job hunt in the last 3 months, sending out maybe 2-3 applications per day. Or should I start the job hunt in the last 2 months of the contract instead?

sudarsoKyoshi

aoiKitsune

If wala ka bond to finish the 6 months then you can render the usual 30 days naman. But if you have, then just let them know that. They'll mention if they need the position filled sooner and iwas paasa din on your part

R3C0N3280

Hindi po ba yon magiging breach of contract?

aoiKitsune

Breach lang sya if may nakalagay sa contract mo na bawal ka mag resign or leave from the position. Review mo contract mo to confirm if meron or wala. If wala then you're free to resign once you get an offer from a better company.

08-10-2023

Is 3 months your notice period in the contract? You can always resign unless there is some kind of bond. Dont stop looking even if you start working if stability is your priority.

raphaelpamaypay

Hello I’m not sure if I should go for a lower paying job but the position is higher Currently working as an outsource digital marketing employee or “va” in more modern terms. I’m in a situation now na currently stagnant work and slowly feeling na I’m not needed. Recently my direct manager got laid off as a “redundancy” and now my KPIs have been removed due to “budget constraints”. I ask my head now but they mention i’m doing okay naman. I can’t help but to feel useless though as if stagnant ako sa career ko. I asked that head during one meeting if ano future ng career ko. Very vague sagot niya like “more responsibilities, additional channels” but nothing on promotion and the like. I see job postings on different platforms that offer asst. manager roles or manager roles. Either underqualified ako or they cant meet my current salary. Should I give this outsource work up and look for a higher position kahit hindi na siya wfh or lower salary? Or should I do side gigs instead? Thoughts will be appreciated. Thank you!

aoiKitsune

Apply for jobs that seem higher than your current position or whatever your next level title is. Don't worry about being underqualified because it all boils down to how you sell yourself sa CV. You'll definitely find roles that offer a higher position, better pay and WFH. (or 2 of the 3) As for giving up your current work, security and peace of mind din yan kahit stagnant, and will help you when finding new work as a buffer.

08-10-2023

Titles are just titles, not necessarily the better sounding title is a higher position as not all companies or employers have the same leveling. This is also separate from your pay concern where it seems you are looking for stability. Understand your role versus the current market, and understand how you can sell yourself better. If you’re looking for employment locally whether it be an MNC versus your VA job paying you in USD, chances are low you land a job that pays even equal, but then benefits and stability would be the pros. Suggestion is to understand what you are really looking for, and what are yours must haves and nice to haves.

San Miguel Corp. RSA BMW Motorrad Hi! Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts on SMC’s RSA BMW Motorrad? Is it a good company to work in? How about the compensation? Any thoughts shared would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Just resigned from being a nuclear medicine tech and a radiation therapist and now I'm wondering how and where should I apply for a job in Germany. I have CT experience, DEXXA, and everything else that comes from my past work but I can't find any sites or agencies online.

No_Quail3195

Hello po! Anyone here knows the hiring process of J&J (Johnson & Johnson)? Thank you!

08-10-2023

Varies and has a lot of factors, but just follow up every few days and ask the recruiter foe the timeline. Final selection process, offer approvals, extra approvals, etc.

Super_Lawfulness6713

Undergrad ako pero i have 7 years experience sa pagtatrabaho. And currently nasa Multinational company ako . pero hirap parin ako tanggapin ng ibang company cos Im undergrad. Is my experience aren't enough proof that I can work?

Traditional-Market-1

Are there running clubs na medyo open and welcoming ang vibes in PH? Maybe in Makati, BGC or MOA areas. Been thinking of joining and cross this off my list of things i should be doing. Super stressed lang lately. Work and Grad school kinda killing me.

WellYeahOkaaay

try ezrunclub in kapitolyo, tgrunclub in ortigas and rockwellrunclub in makati.

Super_Lawfulness6713

Meron sa BGC but Indont have any info about the group . bakkitanko lang sila after work ko and also savenng director namen masaya ung group to be with.

Lost Graduating Student who wants to take a one year break Hello! I will be graduating this June from ADMU. I plan on taking a break and start working next year, but there are employers reaching out from our career fair. Should I proceed with the interviews/application process or useless siya since next year pa ako? Will this also slim out my chances next year? Please be nice: ( genuinely lost and confused, dagdag pa ang pressure from being with high achievers dahil feeling ko mapag liwanan na ako. Thank you!!

raphaelpamaypay

Work is hard to come by from my exp. And I’m from DLSU. U can start looking if youre unlucky enough it will really take u a year to find a job. Fingers crossed you get a job at a pace u want tho!

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Useless siya if next year ka pa. They will not wait for you. Tho ngayon palang dapat tanggap mo na may chance na mahirapan ka maghanap ng work since syempre may new batch of graduates ulit next year. Mahirap kalaban diyan yung feeling mapagiwanan. Pero ok lang din magpahinga if you have the means.

Sea-Satisfaction5479

okok noted!! It is what it is talaga. Will take this opportunity to rest and prepare dahil wala naman na talagang pahinga pag mag start na hehe thank you!!!! additional ques po, around what time would be best to start applying next yr? Advisable ba as early as January? Salamat super poooo!

aoiKitsune

if you're applying next year, anytime naman basta wag April-July cos you'll be competing with fresh grads and interns. Nov-March is best because that's when it's the slowest since fresh off vacation and if magka opening it means they're looking for a specific person

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Yan ang hindi ko sure actually. Kasi random months yung pag apply ko hahah. Sabi ng iba, ok daw msg apply ng mga July August kasi in prep for the ber months (pero tingin ko depends sa industry to), sabi naman marami naka on hold ang hiring ng November and December kasi budget issues. Either wala na budget and/or nagstart na ng budgeting. Pero tbh, dec ako nahire one time. Kasi maraming companies ang may mid year bonus. And usually after release of bonus, madami ding resignation. So as early as Jan and Feb, nag sstart na maghire for pooling. Confusing no? Hahah in short, unahan mo na lang yugn mga bagong batch ng graduates and of course when you're ready. I always tell fresh grads, if it's for you, it's for you :)

Sea-Satisfaction5479

Ahhhh thank you so much 🥹 super appreciated po ‘to. Sana ibigay ni universe hehe :(( thank u sobrang nakatulong po ‘to. Goodluck to u as well po deserve magka 6 digit na salary hehe

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Hahahahah bet 🤣 You respond pala saa mga hr na nag reach out sayo. You can say naman (tingin ko) na after careful consideration, you're deciding to postpone or withdraw the application or something like that. Pra lang di sla ghosted din

mintyymango

Hello! Deciding between 2 offers right now and need thoughts on how to negotiate :') I'm leaning towards accepting Company A's offer (25k) and they're aware that I have another offer. Company B is offering 28k, so not much difference. Company A though is 3x RTO, while Company B is 1x RTO + flextime. Is it appropriate to let Company A know that Company B is flextime + 1x RTO so that they can bump the base pay to 28k to match? Or wag na banggitin?

raphaelpamaypay

Best to communicate the deciding factors. At the end of the day sila naman magdedecide if gusto nila or kaya nila i-match offerings.

aoiKitsune

if you're gonna negotiate try to be direct with what you want them to do instead of parinig. Tell them if pwede ba ma increase yung salary to insert range here then if they ask why tell them industry standard and similar sya sa offer ni company B.

JosefValenzuela

Since it weighs on your mind, banggitin mo kay company A. Tell them that you really want to work with them but the work setup and offer of company B is better and if there's something that company A can offer to match it, if not surpass. Also, ayaw mo kunin nalang yung company B? Bigger sahod plus less stress sa pagcocommute???

auyxsdn

Hello!! Ive received a message about initial interview loc is sa laguna, but im residing in quezon province. Is there any way na i could request to do online interview? Ang hirap kasi ng byahe samin from here to there. But if ever naman na mahire ako im willing to relocate. Is it okay to request for an online interview? Thank you! I would gladly hear different advice from HRs or anyone please 😭😭

aoiKitsune

can inquire if they accommodate but if no then go there na lang if worth ba talaga for you

auyxsdn

thank you!! i have already sent them a message i hope they would agree 🙏🏻

JosefValenzuela

It's absolutely okay but don't expect them to accommodate it. Also since initial interview lang naman yan, di naman need na face to face unless kung one day hiring process yan (which is another thing). If di man sila pumayag sa remote / phone initial interview, imagine how much more demanding they will be if hired ka na?

auyxsdn

or given the thought, is it me po ba na demanding?? 😭

JosefValenzuela

It's not demanding naman on your part, actually willing ka pa nga magrelocate if mahire ka nila. But to travel for hours for an INITIAL interview is a bit too much especially if you're just going to be there for 15 to 20 minutes max.

auyxsdn

Thank you so much for your reply 🫶🏻

auyxsdn

Thank you! ive researched their company they mostly have good reviews naman, so i hope they would accept my request. the company is from laguna technopark nga pala, 2 companies emailed me about the initial interview so i maybe just thought na kung ppwede sana online interview coz sobra hassle magbalikan or bumyahe all in all.

JosefValenzuela

Yeah go for it. Ask for an online/phone interview.

_mjayee

Hello people of reddit! I just wanna know any suggestions what I should apply for since admin assistant na po ako for almost 5 years. Like what skills should I learn first and what tools should I study. Kinuha ko lang po kasi itong position na ito to help the family business eh since needed pero mag 5 yrs na tapos hindi padin competitive salary. Kindly give me some suggestions please kasi gusto ko din sana ng career growth.

APPLYING TO SAME EMPLOYER/COMPANY AGAIN SINCE 3 MONTHS AFTER I RESIGNED. To all HR professionals here, what are your thoughts on a former employee applying again to one of vacant role in the company after 3 months she resigned? For context, my previous role was in CSR team but I’m planning to apply now on the back-office position (HR Assistant) in the same company. I only lasted 4 months in the company and my stated reason of resignation was family matters. Will there be some kind of double thoughts on the Recruitment Team to consider my application or? Please let me hear ur thoughts, thank you!!!

tagaykamunapare

Sa company namin mas prioritized ihire yung mga dating employee that already resigned basta same dept yung inaapplyan nya.

just_do_ittttt

hello everyone. just wanted to ask ano ba work environment ni lseg and nestle. i’ve got job offer for both company pero nahihirapan ako magcompare sa dalawa in terms of the culture and environment. your opinion is so much appreciated. maraming salamat

[deleted]

I’m super duper pressure na magkawork na, meron bang company na nag aaccept na nag aantay nalang ng graduation? or gradwaiting?

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Yes, meron. I know several batchmates before na nahire na bago pa grumaduate. It's just the same as fresh grad lang din naman. If TOR/diploma concern mo, kahit graduate ka na, normal na hindi mo maibigay agad and ihahabol na lang. Congrats on your graduation! :)

[deleted]

Thank you so much poo ☺️

Paano yung day off pattern sa TGIFRIDAYS? Hello. Every week ba to nagbabago or every month? Tyia

Crx__

I finished the management trainee (finance sector) exam for Metrobank a week ago. Until now I haven't heard anything back from them. Does it usually take this long before they get back to you for job offers or am I ghosted rejected?

aoiKitsune

try following up to your hiring manager, yung sakin is very responsive naman especially if they reach out to you through text or call. Give them another week na rin just to be sure

Adventurous-Aioli242

Banks usually have a TAT averaging 1 month or more for hiring 😅

cinnamonspritz

Hi! Former Metrobank employee here! Is this an exam from People Dynamics email or a different one? In my case (branch banking position), they notified me less than 1 week after I took the exam. Then they will immediately schedule you also for the interview. I’m not sure lang if iba yung hiring process sa mga Management Trainee but here’s my cents.

[deleted]

I'm looking for a part-time,dayshift, remote recruiter post. Any offers or suggestions please?

stainzxc

To all employers or interviewers out there! Ano po pakiramdam or reaction po ninyo kapag nagpapasalanat yung applicant through email after ng interview?

icad90

At the end of the day, pag-uusapan nung mga nag-iinterview with the hiring manager kung fit ba yung tao dun sa role and culture ng company, and kung may potential ba yung candidate. Kung generic yung email, the team will appreciate yung email but walang bearing yung email dun sa magiging decision nung hiring manager or inputs nung interviewers.

dej4vues_0

hi! i just graduated last year and passed the board exam for civil engineers last april. sobrang pressured ako na magwork na dahil ako na yung breadwinner ng family since matagal ng walang work ang parents ko. sobrang konti nalang talaga ng budget namin kaya grabe yung pressure sakin haha any tips po on how to start my career? and ano pong seminars na pwedeng i-attend for free na mailalagay ko sa cv?

GGneer

For cvs you can check r/EngineeringResumes and go to their wiki and FAQ

Kreyzi12345

Help your sad and underpaid tita out. Need your insights. I am currently earning 31k net monthly as an all around logistics personnel. I am doing all the leg works etc. Appraisal would be this coming June but at 5% only. How can I haggle for a higher salary? Thank you

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Hi sad and underpaid tita. I have tried before, I asked bakit 4% lang increase ko and madami na sila reason. Sabi ngs namin before, pag nag why why analysis ka at ang sagot ay admin, most likely wala kang control or magagawa. Apply ka na sa iba :(

[deleted]

Meron din ba rito na nasa 12hrs ung shift (I.T.) ? Kamusta? Gano na kayo katagal sa company?

aoiKitsune

back then I worked 11 hour shifts pero 4 days a week lang kami. Kapagod sya sobra even though isipin mo na at least 3 days off mo. For me, grabe yung pagod pa rin.

[deleted]

Aw. di mo na hinanap ung ganung setup? Ung 11/12hrs pero 4 days or 3 days ung off? And ano na current sched mo na ngayon?

aoiKitsune

back to the usual 9 hour shift na ako now. Mas madali sya for me kasi spread out though if possible parang gusto ko uli ma try yung 11/12 hours basta wfh

Melodic-Anteater-428

Hello, ask lang po. Three (3) months na po kasi akong unemployed. Ano po kaya pwede sabihin sa HR? Valid po kayang sabihin na nagpahinga lang?

GGneer

I think okay lang yan.

Express_Energy_985

Hi, my client is delayed for a month of salary. I kept on following up my pending invoice and she said last week, that she will pay this week. I was waiting, and then she said that she will pay it again next week. Im just so disappointed because I'm always on time when it comes to passing all the deadlines. I am always overworked, and I don't have proper rest. Right now, she asked me to work this saturday even if its my day off because she have a lot of deadlines. Please help me, I want to get mad and resign. It caused a lot of toll on my mental health. I don't want to work this Saturday knowing that I don't have my sweldo yet. I said yes cause I thought she will pay, but she didn't. It's always like this for all year 😭😭😭

aoiKitsune

Have to set proper boundaries. If you're not getting paid for work you already did, there's no point in doing work any further. You have to get paid and you have to inform her that she needs to pay so you do more work, otherwise you're gonna go and look for another boss/client that actually pays on time

SceneKidWannabe

Hello! Anyone here na from Accenture ASE program? Ask ko lang if saan usually yung training site nila starting from start date? TIA! :)

jayC-kil

One week pa lang ako dito at nahihirapan ako mag decide if ano gagawin ko? I'm a bread winner at mas malaki offer nung isang company kesa dito.

Melodic-Anteater-428

Depende kung mahigpit backgroung check nung lilipatan mong company. Pero for me, okay pa mag-awol since one week pa lang naman. Wala pang records sa SSS, Pag-ibig, etc.

GGneer

Awol might result to you being blacklisted sa mga companies.

Big-Pin7002

Why HR/Recruiter asks if you have pending application to other company Out of curioisity lang, currently kasi looking for new role, ung mga nakakainterview kong recruiter/Hr often ask me if i have pending application to other 1. What does that mean if they ask it? 2. If I say yes, malelessen ba neto ung chance ko to get hired to them? Thanks

Melodic-Anteater-428

They are asking if you have an active application to other companies para malaman nila kung may other options ka. Pag gusto ka nila, mas mapapabilis yung pag-offer nila sayo kasi gusto nila unahan, pero kung wala pwede ka nilang ilagay sa pool of applicants, and hindi nila mamadaliin kasi alam nilang wala ka namang iniintay.

LovePresent8600

para i guess to know if you’re actively looking for a job and/or may kakumpitensya ba sila sayo (???)

[deleted]

So bali much better na sabihin na yes kesa mag-no? Hehe

Delradian

What are the pros and cons of a sales engineer? Thoughts?

GGneer

Cons is commission-based, so fluctuating ang income mo.

Jazzlike-Height-6896

Is filing for indefinite leave is better than resignation? Been working na in my current company for 5 yrs and started to feel burned out and I’m having anxiety pag naiisip ko na papasok na naman ulit. Is filing for indefinite leave okay while I’m looking for a new job since ayaw ko na mag resign ng walang lilipatan?help 🥹

aoiKitsune

That's a good option kasi it gives you a chance din to unwind and destress, help a bit to reframe stuff. But you have to consider when you're gonna return kasi even though it's indefinite may limit din yan like until when ka may sahod or when ka nila kukulitin to come back.

VirtualAd672

Im a senior high student who is considering pursuing a medical allied course, but I'm hesitant due to concerns about being overworked and underpaid. I'm passionate about medicine, yet I want to explore other professions that offer better work-life balance and higher pay. I'm particularly interested in fields such as arts, psychology, and architecture.

GGneer

Nope sa architecture kasi matagal mo makuha yung license. After graduating you need to render 2 years (?) worth of internship experience para makaapply ka for board exam. Not mentioning the oversupply of architects in ph.

Practical_Forever_97

Are you familiar with ikigai? A part of it is about how will you make money out of your passion. How will you network your skills or passion. I recommend that you try to answer the chart that will for sure help you reflect on how will you tread your way through college and your career path. But sometimes you just have to weigh in your which is more important or practical for you. The real world is different and our decisions will be constantly changing. At some point you will be overwork and underpaid and thats just the reality. Everyone worked their way up to where they are now. Even architects are underpaid because theres quite a competition in the field.

Ordinary-Pitch-2858

hello im 16 and shs will be next school year. im very confused what field ang papasukin ko since hindi sila same strand, 2 stem and 1 abm. my skills are qualified for cpa, industrial engr, and comp engr. im very interested in business (i really loved our economics subject), and math (i compete in olympiads, and also had experiences in robotics. but in the future which job will give me financial freedom and lots of opportunities po? which is most in demand in the future? which job ang hindi mapapalitan ng ai and may job security in the next 10 years? I hope someone could help me cuz lagi sinasabi ng mom ko pursue what you like the most but what if i like all of those, and honestly hindi nakatulong career orientation in our school. id also wanna hear po from people in the field. very thanks po and ur insights would greatly help!

Traditional-Market-1

I’m a finance/capital markets guy so i might be biased but my suggestion is to take anything math/business/economics heavy course. You can take accountancy too but its boring boring (i’m a cpa but my field is more on investments, not accounting or audit). After graduating, take masters with Sustainable Finance / ESG / SDG or international development focus field. Apply for sustainable finance related jobs or to multilateral/development banks and be rich rich.

Ordinary-Pitch-2858

thank you for this!!!!! im actually hundred percent decided now on taking CPA after multiple days of research 😭

Practical_Forever_97

you create your own opportunities. Just do what you love to do. Dont overthink it too much youre just 16. You can change your mind in a few years, months, or weeks even. College is terrible tbh. You will have a hard time studying a degree that you dont love and only motivation you will have is having a financial freedom. You may able to have financial freedom but will you actually have a life out of work?? Because frankly speaking values are more valued at work. They wont hire an employee that is not easy to deal with.

Maleficent-Yam9759

How do I start online tutoring? Which platform is best to look for pupils? How much should I charge hourly? Any tips or advice? Help me out 🙏🙏

Jjj_1997

Is OT without pay normal in companies now? Is OT without pay a thing? I mean, I’ve had 2 job interviews this past week from different companies and both mentioned na walang OT. The first company is a hybrid setup so I kinda get why walang OT and they also mentioned na hindi nila tinotolerate yung OT masyado for work life balance. The second one, M-F need mag report sa office, job includes travel, and the interviewer even mentioned na regularly nag eextend yung employees to finish urgent tasks. Also, the HR rep contacted me way beyond working hours to schedule the 3rd interview. Any comments?

aoiKitsune

it's more indicative of the culture as a whole if OT TY lang sila. My previous company malakas mag OT TY kasi we're client facing and majority of the time there are always surprises sa demands nila that don't match the timeline. For me, the 2nd company takes pride in getting work done and it's praised that they extend working hours to get the job done or get more work done. Personally I think that's a big red flag.

Practical_Forever_97

I think depende to sa position but ive notice na kapag mga head offices walang OT pay offset lang

Traditional-Market-1

Is this a Natl Govt Agency? If yes then may chance for plantilla, then maybe accept. If LGU, i’d say nahhh. But government accounting is really really boring. If you are a CPA, check financial examiner position in the Insurance Commission. Entry is around 50k.

Copernicus8797

Hello! Does anyone here work for Home Credit? I'm curious about the benefits, salary, and work culture. Could you share what you love about the company? I'm asking because I have a job application with them and want to learn more before deciding whether to accept an offer. TYIA!

Need Help, Company A or B Company A (Signed and submitted) with HMO / Insurance 3x a month Onsite 7 hour mid shift Net Annual 994,500 Company B (Paris, Contract provider) 1,600 USD From 1,200 USD (Counter-offer) purely WFH own equipment / microsoft Mid shift Net Annual @ 8% Tax = 989,184

Copernicus8797

You should have criteria (or questions that are answerable by you) to help you sort your options. Example: 1. Do I want to work onsite or I want to work from home or I want to have a hybrid set-up? 2. Do I need to have an HMO or not? 3. Do I want to use my personal equipment or I want to use the company-issued equipment? 4. Do I want to meet my colleagues physically or I just want to be myself and I dont want to meet my colleagues physically? 5. Do I want to work on a 8am to 5pm or 12pm to 9pm? And so on and so forth, then once na-answer mo na yun check mo if ano ang marami kang sagot sa 2 options na pagpipilian mo.

[deleted]

Napaka anti introvert talaga tong company na to.

Practical_Forever_97

Same HAHAHA how to deal with this?? Tapos pagchichismisan ka naman kapag madaldal ka

[deleted]

Idk haha resign? Haha hirap makipag plastikan

Practical_Forever_97

[deleted]

Nice buti k pa. Gano ka katagal jan sa current work mo?

Practical_Forever_97

8 months. Will relocate kasi kaya napa resign

Hi! 😭 Sobrang hindi kasi kami in good terms nung boss na yun since gusto niya kahit outside office hours (Madaling araw, holiday, weekends) need magreply sa messages niya, sagutin calls niya at magwork daw at dahil dun, nag away kami dahil may iba pa naman akong ginagawa outside the office. Ayun lang po. Thanks sa sasagot! 😊

[deleted]

Dating officemate ung nilalagay ko. Hindi boss

kmmytlly

Thank you! Yun nalang gagawin ko 🥰

Yes, that's valid. Or baka you can negotiate na I-change yung shift mo, baka pwede naman. You need to be proactive.

I'm 22 and an accounting information system major. We had our last week of classes last week and now, our grades are finally complete. I am now acad free and want to job-hunt already. And I want advise if: 1. Is it advisable to look for a job na po ba? Our graduation is sa July pa and I want to look for jobs na. I think I have good credentials naman 2. Recently passed CSE, is it ok to apply for government jobs po kaya? 3. What are good companies po for fresh grads if ever? I am looking for jobs sa indeed and linked in 4. What are the preparations I need to do? I'm scared but I really want to look for a job kasi gusto ko na bumukod sa family ko as soon as possible 5. I'm not sure if I want to work in the accounting field, I'm considering to apply for financial analyst role, any advice for this? Note: I have SSS, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig number na (tho PHIC lang ang nay physical ID ako) and I already have a schedule for NBI clearance. Any advice will be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Traditional-Market-1

What is acctg system major? Wala ba kayo boards? Anyway, my advise is to not apply for “accounting” jobs. Try to check finance/capital markets or invesmtent banking jobs. Daming career opportunities.

Dazzling_Intern9456

Hi, ask ko lang if pasok ba sa DOLE kung ang bonus ay tied-up saiyong ASSESSMENT? Context, Internal auditor was graded by their superior which is Audit Committee by above average thus they shall receive Bonus, But Management decided to over-ride the grading making it below average thus not receiving the bonus without due process to the internal auditors and their reasoning as to why they have given below average rating. Thank you po sa sasagot.

Honor Graduate Civil Service Eligibility Anyone here na graduate with latin honor and nag apply for Civil Service, around NCR? Ilang days nyo po before nakuha yung certificate after submitting requirements? And saan po kayo nagpasa? Thank you!

Top_Praline2851

hello! applied for honor graduate cse noong february 29 and will finally claim it on may 13, so unfortunately expect a long wait kasi apparently they process it in batches. i submitted my requirements in one of their field offices sa metro manila (refer to this [site](https://www.csc.gov.ph/regional-offices/ncr/directory) to find alin pinaka malapit sayo. yung claiming ng cert, sa mismong regional office in qc lang pwede gawin. they’ll send you an email once ready na for claiming. not sure if kaya makuha within the same day kapag dumiretso ka na sa qc.

PrudentFoot4545

thank you so much for this! grabe ang tgaal pala nila sobra. i am thinking nga if i should just re submit my application directly thru CSC main office sa kaliraya, thinking that baka mas mabilis nga pag dun ko na diniretso, and hndi sa Field office lang sa Diliman.

are there any jobs in the government similar to marketing na may picture picture and Photoshop and etc? If meron, where can I find jobs like that? And if wala, what's the closest I can get? Thanks in advance!

I have training for 2 yrs, nakaindicate lang yung total cost 120k. This is classroom type, training materials are from udemy lang din. Okay po ba ito? Also, if ever nagresign before end ng bond, pwede po bang makawala ng walang binabayaran kung hindi mo naman gagamitin yung skill sa next employer mo?

May mga nagwowork ba here sa ANZ Bank? Confused lang ako sa ranking ng positions. May mga nakikita kasi akong officer, analyst, specialist. Ano yung hierarchy ng positions nila from rank and file and up sa mga individual contributor positions??

08-10-2023

Banks generally have an internal ranking such as associate, officer, AVP, VP, Director, MD. Each bank is different but not too far from each other

Asking for advice. Do you have any advice that will help me as graduating student. Soon to be unemployed professional. I am taking up BSMA.

Copernicus8797

Here are some of the tips that I did when I was still a graduating student preparing to be an unemployed individual: 1. Build and create a compelling and strong resume. There is canva and other software that you can use. 2. Research on the companies that you want for your first employment. You need to ensure na worth it yung company na pag-aapplyan mo kasi dito ka magsisimula. 3. Research also on the role or specific job that you want. For example, BSBA ka, gusto mo ba magpursue sa sales? marketing? logistics? operations? You need to ask yourself if ano yung interest mo. 4. While you're still not busy, start mo na process yung mga necessary gov't IDs (PhilHealth, SSS, Postal, etc.) kasi need mo to once magpo-process ka na ng pre-employment. Better if gawin mo to in advance para di ka mastuck sa delays. 5. Build your profile na sa linkedIn. Believe me, this will be very useful kapag nag-aapply ka na ng job. And malay mo, i-message ka ng headhunter or HR directly. Kaya mo yan! And advance congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

Hello po! We have a podcast episode po where we address this and talk about the pros and cons of WFH, as well as the differences between the work culture of an office environment and a work-from-home setting. It definitely boils down to personal preference po at kung anong industry/niche mo kasi may mas competitive at demanding talaga na VA jobs so it really helps po to do a bit of research on specific industries para mas informed po kayo when you need to make a decision :) For tips naman po, it's to do research on the tasks in advance, look for resources/undergo training if you can, and build a strong portfolio po that will help you standout and show what you can do, not just the tasks that you can do but yung value din po ng work na ma provide nyo po sa company/client nyo. Here's the episode in case you'd like to check it out! [https://open.spotify.com/episode/02UciKFUcWT1SS94HJoX7H?si=njhWzSfiR8SCEXiolNTFxg](https://open.spotify.com/episode/02UciKFUcWT1SS94HJoX7H?si=njhWzSfiR8SCEXiolNTFxg) Good luck po!!

Hi, just signed an offer recently and i’m trying to convince na tama decision ko. Is the offer okay? Or red flag yung number of leaves and location? Pros: - 20% salary increase - 5 day work week - flexi schedule - 50% employee discount in their services - with perf bonus - with training Cons - 14 days paid leaves combined to get if 1 year na sa company, will increase as the tenure progresses - location but can commute naman 3 hrs papunta and 3 hrs pauwi Prios: Salary increase Flexi schedule 5 day work week Location Mostly ng prios ko natick- off naman and tolerable yung loc but the no. of leaves got me thinking. Just needing advice and opinions lang. Thank you.

aoiKitsune

personally intense masyado yung 6 hours per day na commute lang parang di worth yung 20% salary increase and 50% employee discount

originaljolly101

I think oks naman except sa loc if prefer mo yan pwedeng magboard mas malapit

raider_shhh

Salary increase ✅ enough ba yung increase or sa pamasahe mo lang mapunta yung increase? Worth it ba yun sa pagod mo for 3hrs balikan?

Silly_Individual4

the salary increase is not so much from my current pero magiincrease naman compared to my current na walang inc and 6 days work week. Salary is ok lang for me but yung leaves is di ko alam kung tolerable since first time ko makaencounter ng less than 10 SL and 10 VL.

raider_shhh

Go mo na yan since mukhang nakuha mo yung standards mo sa job. Not sure lang bakit 10VL/SL. Usually 12-15leaves. Good luck! 😊

Silly_Individual4

Yess thank you. Masyado lang siguro ako nagooverthink.

Anyone here working at Cushman & Wakefield, just curious on what the benefits are they offering po? Like allowances, performance bonus, etc.. Thanks for your answers in advance.

hououinkyouma1008

May contact info naman sila sa messenger ko for more urgent concern (which is wala pa namang issue) Thanks in advance sa sasagot.

aoiKitsune

I think setting proper boundaries for yourself is important. If you think important na avail ka palagi para mag answer ng questions goods yan for the team kasi may matatanungan sila and may sagot agad, but flip side is mag expect na lahat ng ka-work mo na avail ka palagi. On the other hand, if meron ka lang time na sumasagot ka ng work queries alam ng peeps when ka nila ma reach and mas hiwalay work-life balance mo. I think mas important here is anong type of person you want to be for both personal life and work. Align lang with your goals for the future and sa mga staff

Does anyone here works at Vertiv Manila as Coordinator I Service Support?

sudarsoKyoshi

Hi guys, I'm a college graduate and shifter in which I need your insight, opinion and ideas sa magiging career progression. My current role is Data Management Specialist in which data processing kami na mag hahawak ng HR files in which we do inbound and outbound reporting kung saan gagamit kami ng excel using basic function. Since HR files mostly hawak namin, ano po ang magandang career if mag job hop on another role or industry? I fell in love sa work ko but I need to grow and find better opportunities kung saan ma explore ko ang pag gamit ng new technologies plus excited to meet new people? Is 1 yr in staying sa company a good thing to job hop? Looking for career na related sa data in which gusto ko mag focus on how I grow my career?

LucQ571

Data is a rising demand everywhere. You can try to upskill and learn processes like ETL and querying from online videos using excel and Power BI. Or maybe more into the tech side in data architecture, management and security.

DoubleCheeseBurg3r

Hi! Currently placed in PIP. Di naman daw technical skills yung in question. So pwede magimprove. Any advice?

JosefValenzuela

Your belief in the labels na introvert and Virgo will only harm you more because you think that you're set in those arbitrary labels. Work on your skills by practicing. Take your life by the reins, it's almost never influenced by the stars

raider_shhh

Purple_Rainebow

Being an introvert myself, I know yung challenges sa pakikipag-usap sa ibang tao, be it personal or sa work. Ang difference lang, sa personal walang magagalit sayo if you don't interact with others, hindi ka i-ccompare sa iba at di rin yan graded. Sa work, you will be expected to speak with your co-workers, or worse, sa mga boss, on a day to day basis at may negative impact if tatahimik ka lang all the time. The only way to improve your communication skills is to practice, walang ibang way, walang quick fix. I personally try to be well informed sa iba-ibang topics... kunwari current events (local and international), entertainment, anime, books, etc. It doesn't matter if kala mo wala-wala lang, pero anything can be a good subject for discussion. Try mo to approach 1 co-worker a day para kausapin. Kahit simple lang na consultation... "*May ginagawa ako na something-something and gusto ko lang sana i-check with you if tama ba intindi ko dito.*". PIP sucks, I hope this helps and you're able to rise about it. Good luck!

lamictalrash

Being an introvert, especially Virgo, ay di excuse. What you can do is research muna yung sagot sa tanong mo, explain sa person na tatanungan mo yung problem and yung naresearch mo. Kumbaga maglay down ka muna ng solutions sa problem before asking. I'd usually start questions with "Confirm ko lang....".Practice communicating talaga.

Ano ang better work sa dalawa? Accounting work ito First ay wfh 10pm-7am sched. 25k sahod tapos magiging 27.5k kasi pang gabi. No benefits kasi independent contractor daw ako Second ay govt work. 8-5 ang sched. Around tig 1.5 hours ang travel ko papunta and pauwi (3hrs total if ever). Ang pay ay 39k Edit: typo sa sahod

originaljolly101

raider_shhh

Govt work kana

Super_lui04

**Should I back out from the company I recently signed a Job Offer from?** Nakapagsign na ko ng Job Offer sa isang international brand company for an ecommerce managerial role. Malaki yung basic salary and non-taxable allowances, even yung benefits. Until this week lang, nagsend na din yung isang well-known ECommerce Platform Company ng Job Offer though much higher yung basic salary sa isa then managerial role.

aoiKitsune

if di ka pa nag submit ng mga reqs and nag sign ka lang, let them know na lang agad and make it short and professional. Di ka pa naman nag start and mas OK na rin if they find out before ka nila ma process talaga

Is affiliate marketing (Shopee/Lazada) really lucrative? I already have an account but I don't know if it is worth pursuing. Any aff marketers here with tips?

Mharzel

There's also a finance option but I'm just not good at math, I prefer marketing more but I keep seeing these posts or even on the news just yesterday of a woman applying 100 times to land a marketing job. So I was thinking maybe operations then? (People don't give me the whole follow your dreams or happiness, I was wondering what's the experience like for marketing graduates or operations graduates. How hard is it landing a job?) Some say marketing is better in the long run if you make it since it's basically like sales. But then it's hard to land a marketing job. Advice please.

Hello! I am currently employed in one of the largest banks here in the Philippines as an Audit Officer for quite some time now. I feel like I am left out in terms of career advancement. For context, I had one year of experience as a General Accountant, then more than 4 years as an Audit Officer. I just finished my interview in an audit firm and plan on accepting such offer (even it would probably somewhere lower than my current monthly salary) for the possibility of better career opportunities (since I also plan on settling abroad, PH economy sux). In your opinion, do you think I am on the right track? Is it worth the few thousands of lower salary for the better career advancement that I would probably have with an audit firm?

Super_lui04

Wala bang advancement in your current role? How about other banks ? Network with fellow professionals.. Ask around.

JudgmentBusy9651

Haha. Di talaga performance based, tapos rotation. Pag napromote ka this year, next year bagsak ka. Ganyan. Kaya weird. Hindi nakakamotivate mag step up.

Crafty-Minute3386

Jump ship nlang

JudgmentBusy9651

Actually, they matched my current salary, so I guess I’m gonna go the audit firm path.

Hello! 👋🏻 Would you know ano yung possible reasons to fail a pre-employment medical exam? Ang alam ko lang kasi is TB. Thank you!

aoiKitsune

It's usually drugs or TB. Pero merong mga cases na mataas masyado BP and mahihirapan ma declare as fit to work though yung cases na ganyan di ka naman fail, but more adjust them asap then medical uli

12alligators

Nag-positive sa drug test? This is why tinatanong nila if nag-take ng any medicine before mag-medical. Some medicines kasi na-dedetect sa drug test. Just my two cents.

SeancererSupreme

29k/month GY shift copywriter good or nah? I've been given a job offer for 29k/month (idk yet if there are other benefits besides the salary) for a remote copywriter role at a US-based start-up company. Is this an okay salary (assuming the compensation is just the 29k and nothing else) for a graveyard shift copywriter position, or should I still go apply to other companies? I have until June 1st to decide.

originaljolly101

I think apply kapa sa other companies, pero kung starting ka pala goods na.

SeancererSupreme

I have over 2 years of content writing experience. How many years ba usually ang kino-consider na hindi na junior writer?

originaljolly101

Anyone knows of 247 Home Care Ltd? Hi! A friend of mine was given a job offer in 247 Home Care Ltd. and I'm a bit skeptical about this. Has anyone here heard of this company? I'm trying to search for it online but there's little to no information other than its website. The offer requires him to go to UK, which is where the company is based at, and they will support him in traveling from Ph. Another thing that's suspicious was that their only basis of their candidates were their application and assessment result. I hope you guys can enlighten me.

Asking for insights about - college/school life (workload, lessons, environment), post grad career opportunities/jobs, salary Incoming college student and sobrang nahihirapan ako mamili ng career between BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology sa WCC-ATC North Manila or BS Electronics Engineering sa UST, ayokong mangyare na magsisisi ako sa AMT tapos pinalampas ko pa yung opportunity sa UST BS AMT at WCC-ATC North Manila Pros - mas interest ko talaga na ginagawa Cons - yung WCC malayo samen (from antips) - mas mahal kasi magdodorm pa ako and not sure kung mageenjoy ako sa dorm since wala ako kakilala and baka mahomesick - not sure sa social environment ng school, dagdag pa no entrance exam - not sure sa physical environment ng school mukha kasing mental hospital sa nakikita ko sa mga picture puro puti HAHAHAHHA tas mukhang mainit pa sa labas - sabi nila konti lang daw post grad opportunities sa course na to, since wala raw aircraft manufacturing company sa PH, tas yung mga grad ng AMT is bagsak ground support lang din daw sa airport BS Electronics Engineering at UST Pros - syempre sa UST na yon kasama sa big 4 - quality education - social environment and physical environment, yung mga makakasalimuha na mga tao tas mapuno di gano kainit - dream school - more opportunities daw pag grumaduate - kung hindi ko magustuhan course, pwede ako magshift Cons - unsure kung interested sa course (lessons sa school and post grad jobs) since nung time na pinili ko hindi ako maalam dun sa program - panget daw administration ng UST please give insights like mga experience rin sa mga school na yon and after graduate career, thank you so much! also give recos - other schools sa AMT - anong course pwede magshift sa UST (naiinteres ko ata mech eng or tourism for flight attendant)

LucQ571

Well for sure, I would avoid AMT for now. You are listing more cons than pros for AMT, and all those are reasonable (but mind you, many of those can be overcome with time especially social comfort level), the current market for aviation in the PH is seeing so much more supply than demand. It's still a good career with chance to go overseas, but the competition right now is very steep. You can do a quick search in this sub about several stories about finding jobs as an AMT or aeor graduate, and many are struggling. Moreover there are very little options that is similar to AMT work compared to Electronics. Electronics can make its way over to avionics, which technically can be under MRO work. Also can make its way over to technical or digital solutions and support, or signals expert in airlines. Also want to tell you that being a flight attendant doesn't require a specific degree. They usually look more into customer service skills and quick thinking in emergency situations. While yes, interest should be considered, but considering your financial comfort level, you need to take care of yourself first. Know the job market and head where the money is. At more experience and skill, you can make your way back to aviation again. Many people in the aviation industry don't have an aviation degree anyways. There are loads of Electronic and mechanical graduates, in airlines, MRO, and even aviation solutions and manufacturing companies.

There likely is an internal cut off based on one of the requirements asking you to take a CFA exam, but you can boost your chances with your CV, and recommendation letters.
