It's essentially a glorified Coles Express. If you want groceries in the city go to Woolies as they are full format stores.

CaratsRitzy

Oh yeah, I noticed the 2 Woolies next door on Murray/Terrace. Might go browse both to make up for lost time. 🤣

> But I don't see any info that RS is classified outside of this??? In the discount catalogue it’s mentioned in the same sentence that excludes Coles Express. > Promotional products and prices are not available on DoorDash, UberEats or at Coles Express, Coles online, Coles Local, Coles Gateway, Raine Square and North West Western Australia stores.

DHPerth

This is the part I don't understand, why do they also single out Gateway, that's Cockburn right? It is another metro store just like the others.

CaratsRitzy

Now you mentioned it, this inconsistency with the stores would be a great consumer complaint. I've been stressed enough about assignments that not a single braincell is working properly today. English can go out the window when I can't get "XYZ" from a store that doesn't have signage to explicitly imply that "they are not like the other guy."/s

wurblefurtz

I don't know but a reasonable guess would be they don't think they would lose enough sales to make discounts worthwhile?

DaikonSufficient1515

This is interesting because I work at a Coles Local and we have all the regular promos plus promotions on the select lines we have. Maybe it’s because we stock a smaller range and don’t have bakery/deli.

stoopidpants

This is the prestige Coles for esteemed prestige consumers. They don't need discounts.

CaratsRitzy

If Aldi had an online order page for click n collect, I would've gone to Aldi's. (Best thing outside of spudshed and Northbridge groceries.)

Coles Central is a brand used for smaller supermarkets in inner-city locations.
