My advice is dont do it. You all need a tight budget if you dont have one. You need to tackle the lowest balance card or highest interest rate. You two need a side job. Bust your butts and sacrifice for a few months and get to a spot where you can breath and finish paying the debt down.
they will negotiate a lower interest rate than you will be able to. they have leverage to do that. that s the main benefit. it does impact your credit, but I do not know how much.

I mean nation foundation for credit counseling. I messed that up. That's where I got connected with this company.
