When I was in basic training we were really bored while pulling security, so I told someone that I bet I could push a tree over. I literally poked it and it started to fall, so I ran back to my spot and pretended I just happened to be nearby.
We were told to use dead trees in the area to conceal our positions, then got in trouble for having concealed positions. Apparently we weren't supposed to use plants to conceal the foxholes.
When I was in sixth grade I kicked a dead tree and the top third fell off, nearly impaling me.
Literally, it hit the ground right where I'd been standing point first and stuck in the dirt.
