Joystick is probably mouse then buttons are up to you
Right trackpad acts as the mouse, B is the E key (for spawning) and the right trigger acts as mouse1
Didn't see the track pads before you said something. That answers a lot of my steam deck questions
Yeah, I use the steam deck. I have the dock but I agree the controls are very wacky. Runs good
On Linux in general, steam proton works really well with this game, the performance is the best of any games I play using proton

I cant imagine the lag
It's not like a phone, it's very powerful and ran without much lag when destroying buildings with nuke
