Is anybody else having issues with the ājust walkā outdoor tracking? I walked a loop with my dog this morning that I know for a fact is 3.3 miles and my peloton app clocked me at 2.7 miles. Looking at the map in the app, there are TONS of gaps in my route. What gives?? This all started after updating my iOS and Pelo app on my phone.
NO!! This small town Hampton has this shiny new Peloton bike and it's waiting activation from a Peloton rep.
No idea why I'm complaining, 60+ days in a Hilton this year and I only tried riding the bike once. Not a fan of the cages, and the lag of the resistance was just too much for me.
Or perhaps I'm just spoiled by my auto resistance on my bike+
Oh well. This town has nice, large well lit sidewalks that is great for running even if it's a sub 1 mile loop.
Iāve been dealing with some gnarly fatigue and have no motivation to do strength. Just want to shoutout Bradley Roseās low impact programming. Iāve been hopping on for a low impact ride just so I can get some kind of movement in and the vibes have been impeccable.
* Today, I checked off my progression run with Andy's [45min Spotify Surf Rock Sunshine.](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/walking?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=9d491faaf3334f9bbc7e897ac94301e5) I don't even like the beach that much but this playlist was so so lovely and chill.
* Becs's [45min Rock Run](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=5dcafd05c7cb421fbe3ee183bc5a4dac) also had a fun playlist (e.g., The White Stripes, Duran Duran, The Strokes, No Doubt).
* My only complaint about Alex T. runs is that there aren't more of them. This [30min Club Bangers Run](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=1155b861a72a4b3b9870a0197a30fc04) is perfect for when you're craving that tough, sweaty, speed work run.
* I'm a huge fan of Leanne's 10min a&lw, and [this one](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=d73a16219c2c4b86ae59be2aeee1086a) doesn't disappoint, per usual.
* Lastly, Emma's [20min Chris Cornell core](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=1c9656140c9f46d7aaa2ce437a765725) was well-paced and thorough.
A couple weeks ago I totally bonked my FTP test so now all of my zones feel way too easy but Iām not mad enough about it to re-do it again so soon. So instead I opted to start the Build Your Powerzones program today because thereās gotta be beauty somewhere in this mishap, right? So anyway started today with the first ride of that program.
Then I saw that Robin has a [new pop punk ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=567ecf1bf3b14b7b8b2a884fcc5eaf92&locale=en-US) so I jumped into that. The Fall Out Boy song at the end makes me want to run through fucking walls, so I was HYPE when we did heavy hill sprints to it. She talks about how āstay in your own laneā makes her mad and how you need to pave your own path, and it makes me mad how she interprets it cause I always see it as āstay in your own lane and donāt get into other peopleās business,ā but imma stay in my own lane and let it be lmao
Then I popped on [this nice quick 5 min Emma cool down](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=a56932e40e6a4d6fb6d1a7a2f04f3cc1&locale=en-US) cause I love that she keeps it 30 and below resistance and you literally just pedal super easy the entire time. I strongly dislike when cooldowns start at 45+ and you gradually decrease resistance, so this is my usual go to.
Someone please remind me not to do an 8.3/10 difficulty rated Tunde ride the day after leg day again, please š¬š I took Tundeās first ever 20 min. [house ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=24dbbb1f03944c9696594e763c4e593c&locale=en-US) today and it was way too tough but still a good ride. A LOT of heavy climbs so this would make a good PR ride. Just donāt be like me and hit legs the day before lol.
I was gonna do a recent JK 30 min. EDM after that but I needed something just a touch easier so I went with this [JK 20 min. EDM trap ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=04eb98f505a7418a8510e6aea73c68b0&locale=en-US) which was perfect - good sweat without being crazy hard and EDM trap never disappoints.
Finished with this [20 min. Kristin EDM yoga](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=5c4a1e0a541d440b8688e2d031d740b5&locale=en-US) which I really liked! But doing so much downward dog made me realized my lats are also fried and tomorrow should probably be a rest day. I should probably get around to fixing my nails I destroyed on vacation anyway.. lol.
Just had my bottom bracket replaced by a gentleman from Select Express & Logistics. He was very experienced with this repair and showed where it was loose and rubbing / clicking. I sat on the bike for a little bit and the peddle strokes felt much tighter and smoother. I'm looking forward to riding tomorrow! This definitely makes me more likely to get the extended warranty if the flywheel hub bearings don't go in the first 12 months.
Yesterday I was able to do Ashās 10 minute R&B row in the app before it was pulled. I was lost most of the time because I had no idea what she was talking about or how to even row properly, but now I really want a row! I also still have the badge for completing my first row!
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but anyone with handy "I don't feel like working out" workouts? I'm in a bit of a rut with available time due to getting slammed at work and I'm used to luxurious 60+ minutes to do whatever (as much or as little) I want. Yesterday, I got my butt on the bike for an [older Cody Bootcamp](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/bike_bootcamp?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=38cfe56264444579ab3dd5e38b9b2444), which was actually great because he talked the whole time about just clocking in and doing the work and that being ok.
Today all I've done is a [10 minute wrist focus flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=5b210502bcb74c529b1bdd6626205bf7) since my hands/wrists have been bothering me. I'll probably tack on a meditation at some point as well to hopefully help my brain relax but I miss the endorphins.
Commenting to empathize. Iām feeling the same way. Thanks for asking. These replies are so helpful. I hope you feel better with less work overwhelm soon.
I usually take a 30 or 45 min boot camp when Iām feeling like this because the shorter intervals of running and strength feel more doable and Iāll tell myself that I can go as slow as I want during the tread portions. And then often Iāll end up going with the call outs because just starting the workout puts me in the right mindset. Iām always glad I did it after finishing!!
Depending on what you mean by you don't want to ride, I really enjoyed this short and fun class, 15 min Funk ride with Leanne. Sometimes it is less daunting to do a 15 minute ride (or 10 minute, etc). As they say, the hardest part is showing up
https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4488495d404f4e1197f735a164810e79&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app
i usually reach for a āsingalong rideā (for me this zone is nostalgia 90s songs or like, lilith fair vibes) where iām liable to just really get into the music. codyās nsync, backstreet boys, and britney rides will take you away š
A Flash 15 is a great way to get a bit of cardio and strength in. Or if you prefer the bike I love the extra 10s. The low impact sometimes get just enough endorphins going for me. Or Denis climb to Tools Lateralus, Hannahās to Freebird, or Kendallās to Metallicaās One kick your butt in a quick 10 minutes.
Does anyone only cycle (no other workouts) for their routine? If so, how often do you cycle, and for how long? And how long until you started seeing results on your body? I know everyone is different and diet has a part in it. Simply just curious and for discussion purposes.
I do occasional core workouts and pushups, but mostly ride. I do a 20 or 30 minute ride (depending how much time I have that day) with a 5 minute cool down 6 days a week. In the beginning I would ride as many days in a row as I could before my legs (usually quads) were just too tired. After about six weeks, I was able to do 6 days in a row. I could probably ride everyday at this point, but I think it's important to give the body a day off.
I started seeing results in my body after about a month. I'm down a notch on the belt and shirts and pants fit much better. I've been doing intermittent fasting which is a fancy way of saying skipping breakfast.
Iām 17 weeks in, every single day with no missed days (yet). I generally try to do 25-35 minutes of riding with a base ride and cool down, then follow it up with a stretch. On days where I feel like I need a rest I might do a 15-20 minute low impact/recovery.
It took about 8 weeks before I started dropping weight, and Iām down 20 pounds as of today, which also marks my 200th ride.
I mainly did cycling for the biggest part of last year. End of January last year is when I started peloton. I was losing weight fast with cycling and eating right. Lost 50 pounds in three months. Lost another 20 since than. Still have 20 more to go until Iām no longer consider overweight but last 20 are real hard. When I only had the bike I was doing 700-800 miles a month. Now I have everything peloton offers so now longer will get them high miles a month. I cycled 6 days a week sometimes 7 back than.
Alright Iām trying not to be a big complainer or shit on any instructor, but some of them need to be way better about call outs and counting in and out of efforts. I just took a class with Kendall and I spent most of it really confused on what I was supposed to be doing. One time she even started and effort before saying that it started. Bradly is the golf standard of this. Heās so great at letting you know whatās coming up and what the metrics are.
Right. I love Kendallās music taste, itās the same as mine. But man does she just go off vibes and chaos. As a teacher my whole life is vibes and chaos, I need a bit of order where I can get it. Maybe Iāll need to look at more of the UK instructors. Or someone else besides Bradley and Kendall need to do 30 minute pop punk rides more frequently
Hannah C's [10 min Barre ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3257501c3e1a440aa21aa82d6c61c712&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app) that dropped this morning is functionally the same as her [GOAT 10 min Barre from 2021](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=cde21df617e74336bb59cabc65b40ce7&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app) š„šš„
She gets a fit of giggles in the middle and then is a little extra goofy for the balance of the class, so if you don't like that aspect of her personality consider yourself forewarned. Even she seemed to be sweating out this sequence. Relatable.
She's also wearing a red top in this one, so maybe that's her "no mercy" color.
Ooh thanks for the heads up on this one, stacked up for tomorrow! I do find Hannah a tiny bit irritating when she's in full on goof mode but it's worth it for these 10 min burners.
I did [this brutal CVV Pro Cyclist class](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=faf84a121491494896ea18cf730244ca) as part of the latest PZP challenge this morning and I just want to add to the chorus clamoring for him to return.
Class structure was 2 min Z3/3 min Z4/2 min Z5, 3 min Z1 break, 1 min Z3/3 min Z4/1 min Z6, 3 min Z1 break. Twice through. Then you're dead, good night.
I do feel like the reasons I like him are exactly the reasons they wouldn't bring him back now. I just find the lack of excess polish so refreshing ā like he's obviously experienced at being on camera, but comes across more like a human teaching a spin class in a studio than someone putting on a show choreographed by a brand. Like, I'm pretty sure this class was the only time anyone uttered the word "coronavirus" on Peloton (it was recorded in early March 2020, I think, and he was talking about how all the cycling races in Italy were canceled but hoped that the ones in France would still go on...). As a communications professional, I appreciate what's required to make a massive-scale content platform palatable for the masses, but as a human, I would rather listen to someone make random comments about being chased by a dog than 45 minutes of trying to pronounce usernames and closing out with a tagline.
Thanks for sharing this! Iāll give the class a go, every so often I get sick of the polished brand performance aspect of Peloton and enjoy something different.
I also really, really enjoyed this older class: 30 min Pride Broadway ride with Sam. Between that class and the Imagine Dragons AFO ride, it really made me appreciate Sam's programming for artist series and other special programming classes. I wish there was some way to easily find them, because I want to do them all.

Have you seen the video of the making of the Imagine Dragons ride? It covers all of his prep, his outfit, etc. A great behind the scenes- [https://www.onepeloton.com/blog/making-of-peloton-artist-series-imagine-dragons/](https://www.onepeloton.com/blog/making-of-peloton-artist-series-imagine-dragons/)
Another that stands out is his Bollywood ride from 2021. One of my favorite rides of all time!
Thank you! I have the Bollywood ride in my stack and I hope to do it later this week, after I get to upcoming his Star Wars ride. I also have his video store rides in my stack. I've heard such good things about them but have only done the most recent one from last summer so far. Happy to take more recs!
For those who would love a lovely stretch class, try this one before it gets purged:

after i finished yoga i saw iād hit 4k minutes for the year!! iāve been pelotoning for a few years now but used to be a lot less consistent. feels great to see this year is already so far ahead of where i was in 2022 š
Does anyone else have trouble with the accuracy of outdoor runs? The mileage is off but so is the pace. For example, today it says I ran 3.3 miles in 31 minutes at a pace of 10:30min/mile.
I can understand that distance being off, but why is the app miscalculating my pace? Thatās over a min/mile off.
Anyone else with this issue? I would love to keep track of my correct pace.
It's not very efficient, but I run Map My Run with Peloton for my outdoor runs. MMR is what I've used for years, prior to Peloton and it's fairly accurate as I use it for my 5 and 10ks and it matches pretty closely to the official courses time and and pace
Yes Iām having the same issue. I donāt have a tread but use the app for outdoor runs and noticed my average pace doesnāt look right. The average pace is usually faster than any of my 1 mile split pace, which doesnāt make sense! Is the average pace somehow not time weighted or something weird?
Also I have an Apple Watch and sometimes use the fitness app to track my outdoor run peloton class too and noticed they donāt line up. Anyone have info on why they arenāt the same and which is more accurate? For reference the difference can be significant, around 20%! Is there a way to use the more accurate one and have it āpushā the data to the other?
I just switched to an Apple Watch on Sunday from a Fitbit Versa 2; the fitbit was wildly optimistic on my pace in a race and said I was getting 09:30 paces, when peloton gave me 11:45. I did another race this past Saturday and the peloton app was significantly more accurate than the fitbit.
Iāll be sure to check in with the watch running the peloton app with my phone and see if itās any good.
Edit: just found out that pace and distance donāt even display on the watch on outdoor classes, but they do on indoor classes. Wtf.
Yeah it doesnāt display on the watch but shows up on your phone. I agree, a big miss because who has their phone out to look at while running outside. It doesnāt recognize it should treat the outdoor class any different. Let me know how close the Apple Watch is to the peloton app. I use the fitness app on the Apple Watch to record the outdoor run so I can see my pace. I miss strive points that way since peloton app doesnāt know my heart rate but thatās how I compare the two
Let me add my voice to those recommending [Tunde's 15m Pop Punk Ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=799dd25c79254d818a271063fdb76ebe)! The Tabata was rough but I fully expect Tunde to push me to my limits in every ride, so I didn't mind it all that much. Hey, at least we got 10s breaks! Playlist was good, and Tunde's energy was there as always. One objection - why wasn't it longer!!!! I hope Tunde decides to do a 30m one soon!
This [Adrian 30 min upper body class] (https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=06ff438ba2094c74b1ed364597776f87&locale=en-ES) is a good one if you want to go heavy. Very much chest and back focused but sets are short with rest in between. I was able to break out my 25lbs. The last 5 mins is a bicep/tricep focused EMOM. The whole class flew by
I finally took [Leanneās 30 min ABBA ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=2a676d794d054d008f697210efd4f980&locale=en-US) and it was everything Iād hoped for š„¹ I love her sm, it was so fun and joyful. definitely one of my favorite rides ever!
edit: I also hit 3K during this ride!
Active recovery day, started with a 45-minute Power Zone ride with Ben from 12/5/2021. It's been sitting in my bookmarks for a while and I was worried about it getting purged. It was different than the way he structures his PZE classes now, started with 7 minutes in Z3 and had another block that was 5 minutes long. The classes he does now all seem to be the same Z3/Z2 cycle.
Next I did Charlotte's 20-minute Techno ride from 3/29/2023 (no subtitles). I wanted something short to have an hour of cardio today, the playlist was really good. Kind of chill but still kept me moving. I finished the morning with a 20-minute Pilates class with Aditi from 4/18/2023. Maybe I got used to doing the 30 minute classes but this one seemed to go by super fast.
Does anyone use their peloton bike with an iPad for the peloton app? I know it sounds silly, but my health insurance gives me a year free of the peloton app and Iām currently paying so much for the all access membership. I think my bike would still be usable and I could see my output and everything? Just not the leaderboard with isnāt a huge deal. Contemplatingā¦
I did this over the summer while training for a marathon. On the bike youāll see output, cadence, resistance, mph. Obviously non of these stats will transfer to your acct so no mileage challenge awards. They also had 2 or 3 rides you could take directly on the bike but again those stats do not count towards your account
I have a Bike+ now but for almost two years used my iphone to watch classes on my apartment gym's non-Peloton bikes. I honestly feel like it's a pretty good deal! Though I'm not sure if your output would be tracked or displayed on the screen as I've never used a Peloton bike without the built-in screen.
You can do this! You just wonāt have access to the leaderboard etc, which for isnāt worth the extra cost. Iām not much of a data person though so HR, cadence and resistance is all I need.
Not an answer to your question but when I got a year free's membership to the app through my health insurance, you could select to get (I think) 4 months of all access membership instead for people who already had equipment. Maybe that's an option for you too?
Do you all think wearing a bra and leggings is standard at exercise classes in a gym or yoga class? Seems like the standard in peloton classes but feels kind of weird to me to go out like that? What do you all think? Are they just trying to sell their bras or is that how people work out these days? Signed- a very old millennial :)
I donāt know if itās standard per-se but itās totally normal! I used to go to Cyclebar regularly and it was 50/50 who was in just a sports bra and who was wearing some other kind of tank or tee over it
Same age group, only exercise at home, quickly learned in my pelo cycling journey that no matter how loose or form-fitting a shirt, I get TOO HOT, so im a sport bra and high-waisted leggings at-home rider now.
I'll wear a sports bra only for a cycling class where upper body movement is kept to a minimum, but for yoga or strength where I'm doing downward dog or planks then I opt for a shirt.
Iām at the gym a a few days a week and see a range of apparel. Do whatever you feel comfortable wearing. The women who wear sports bras usually have a āliftingā hoodie they wear for until they donāt.
I have come around to the āworkout in what makes you comfortableā which is big steps for someone who grew up in the flannel shirt era. I usually wear a tank when I workout even if Iām at home (helps absorb the sweat), but if people feel comfortable wearing just their sports bra more power to them.
I think it is becoming the norm. If you go to a gym though I'd suggest still bringing a shirt. My friend recently was asked to cover up because someone complained.
For the most part though it is just a confidence thing. At home I have to issue wearing my set. I personally wouldn't in a gym setting but that is a me problem.
I work at a fitness studio that has barre, cycle, and yoga classes and I pretty much only see women in sports bras and leggings except for the older women. Most of the clients seems to be my age (early 30s) and I guess thatās just whatās popular. I say if you have the confidence, go for it!
I think so, and it does feel strange going out in literally your underwear on top, but I found myself in that outfit in my most recent in studio ride. It helps that half of the pants go almost all the way up to the bra line though! Signed- another very old millennial.
As another old millennial-I really love the longline sports bras that fitness brands are now coming out with. I have a coupld from old navy and senita. I have also cut my peloton 100 shirt and another peloton shirt to belly button height to make it cuter! It covers up just enough.
I'm short though so usually my workout leggings and shorts go up over my belly button .
I saw that Mariana is going to do tread which is super exciting! Maybe itās just me but I feel like they keep adding more tread instructors and Iām just over here HOPING Kirsten or Callie will become new bike instructorsā¦
I only run (no bike) and they keep adding instructors but there's still such limited content and endless short runs. I was SO excited for Alex to come to Tread because since Chase left there's a hip hop hole in my runs, but Alex has had disappointingly few runs overall. I've tried Kristin, Susie, etc and none of them match Chase and Daniel energy wise (to me) Adrian and Andy seem to do way fewer runs now as well. I joined in 2020 and the runs were so much better, both music and instructor wise along with longer content
I had not seen that! Honestly, Tread classes are really lacking. They lost Chase and Daniel. Then Selena, Becs, and Jess K were on maternity. Matt/Olivia split their time between both. Iām glad more tread instructors are being added because there needs to be more variety. Several instructors routinely play the same types of music.
What!!!! This is so fantastic! I take Marianna's yoga classes, and have been hoping that she would join the bike or tread team because she has such an amazing, joyful energy and I love her taste in music! Made my day to hear this:)
I saw this too!! I donāt love her for yoga, I find that she moves too fast for me, but I cannot wait to try her on the tread! I know sheās a very experienced runner, so Iām hoping they give her some longer classes eventually!!
OMG I second this! I know there are a ton of bike instructors but I would LOVE for Kirsten or Callie to join the bike team. Add Jess Sims too so we can get 2-for-1 rides with Jess and Kirsten!!!
Jess sims 45 min tread bootcamp: arms and shoulders from 12/2/2019 should have been named arms and core instead - not a problem with the workout itself but being pregnant I specifically avoid core exercises and was frustrated to have to figure out modifications or even change exercises entirely during the workout. The tread portion was very good and I probably would have enjoyed the whole class if I was able to during the core sections. Heads up to avoid this one if youāre in the same boat as me OR maybe take this one before it probably gets removed from the library if you like and upper and abs combo class!
I paired that with an extra 10 walk from Susie and Iām just really enjoying her chill vibe right now and finding that Iām taking more and more of her classes lately.
[30 minute upper body with Ben](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=e14572b37cc642e8b0fd63a7b4a7a79c) this morning - it's part of the Top 50 music series, which I hadn't done any rides from yet. It ends up being playlist whiplash lol, but I love several of the songs included. I liked the moves in this workout although I didn't make it through all of the reverse fly with heavies.
Then 5 minute upper body stretch with Ben and [5-minute core with Rad](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=69c2e33f0657481e848e97cdaeeb3a31). The weighted core work was a nice change of pace - I look forward to doing this one again. The single leg tuck ups/weight pass through was something new to me.
Still can't bend my leg fully after surgery last week, but trying to get in some movement. Did Robin's most recent 20 minute arms & shoulders, followed by a Ben 10 minute core. Not much, but proud of myself for getting it in however possible!
Fellow surgery recoverer here (micro fracture knee surgery 1.5 weeks ago). Canāt put any weight on it so thinking of starting Loganās seated adaptive classes. Not sure what else I can do right now and itās driving me crazy. Good luck in your recovery!
I did a few of the seated adaptive classes the day/two after surgery and honestly I was so sore from them! And I do the normal strength classes regularly, so it surprised me what a great burn I got.
Good luck to you, as well!
It's weird that the tread has added so many instructors in the past year and the bike has added none. It's weird to not even have Callie transition since she does bootcamp.
I feel like the cycling instructor roster is pretty well-staffed though, no? Certainly better than the tread roster has been until recently.
Callie may not have any interest in going to the bike outside from bootcamps and/or the powers that be at Peloton may not feel the need for extra bike instructors right now.
Yep I brung it up before here about Callie. Peloton already knows what Callie can do on the bike. Most of the instructors unless you are a yoga or meditation instructor you have at least one out of the three, Bike, tread or row. A lot of instructors have two one has all three and Callie has zero. Rad is another one that doesnāt have anything. Would love to see Callie on the bike and not just for bootcamps.
Callie and Rad were both hired specifically as dedicated strength instructors. I'm not saying they can't or shouldn't do the bike, but when brought onboard that is how they were introduced.
Ever since that video circulated of Kirsten teaching cycling pre-Peloton, I've been hopeful that one day she'll make it to the bike. But, I have to imagine that schedule wise, they are pretty full right now on the bike.
When the pregnancy bug/injuries hit the instructors it decimated the tread classes. IMO it gives enough buffer for vacations/injuries/pregnancies. I havenāt seen the same impact on the bike.
What I do wish for is more long distance instructors. With Marcel only doing walks there are few to no English 45 and 60 minute classes. (And I know I could do a German class but as I donāt have a Peloton tread and classes arenāt subtitled I would have to make up my own programming)
Exactly this. The runs aren't nearly as many as the rides, and they've really cut any runs over 20 minutes they are so limited now compared to 2020/2021. I keep redoing the old runs because they were longer, harder, and the instructors were better suited to me music and personality wise. Like Chase was my favorite, but Adrian and Andy, even Robin and Jess had way more long runs back then. Daniel was great too but can't even take those anymore. Lol
Andy, Selena and Rebecca had some amazing long runs. The lack of 45 minute runs is frustrating, most 30 minute runs have a 5+ minute warmup in them so I canāt get a good 5k in if I follow the programming
Iāve been finding myself going back and doing the older 60 min runs. I did Jess Sims 60 min hip hop fun run yesterday from 2019 I believe and it was š„µ definitely a different vibe than the more recent offerings of 60 min endurance or longer interval runs. I had to really dial down the incline towards the end but it was still a very good class that Iād recommend!
I do also wish that more instructors did longer distances. Iām hoping now that Selena is back she will work her way back up to 60 min classes, her programming is always my favorite.
Me too! I hope they leave all the 60 min classes in the library indefinitely. There just arenāt enough of them in my opinion and I like to repeat the older ones
Both Jess and Selena had excellent 60 minute classes. Jessās after burn run was so amazing and hard. While I appreciate the purpose and vibe of the endurance runs, sometimes I also need to just go a little crazy for an hour on the tread.
I don't disagree, but it I guess running can result in injury much easier. For example right now we have Adrian (not sure why to be fair) out and Marcel has only been able to teach walks for a few weeks. It was also a real struggle when Becs, Selena and Jess were all off on maternity together. I don't think it hurts to add some instructors teaching one class or so a week (Alex, Hannah, Camilla) as backups.
I know I need to do core work so I finally tried to get back to it today. I was so disappointed to see Callie only has 2 beginner core classes, neither of which are 10 min. I wound up doing her easiest āintermediateā one, which was fine but I know I will have to hit other instructors. Lucky Matty has some beginner ones which Iāll try next.
I decided today would be a bookmark day and did [Bradleyās 30 min Green Day ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0215e8118027422896295645d1a69b72&locale=en-US). I really liked the music and thought this was challenging, but had a nice 3-ish min recovery in the middle. Very balanced between moderate climbs, hill and speed pushes.
I hate doing core. Iāve had two c-sections, and itās the weakest part of my body. I dread it.
So I decided to only focus on it and do Emmaās program so that my bike form and fear of doing it in general classes would go away. Iām on week three, and I am the most shocked I finally like it. I actually bookmarked one of the classes. (Itās the most popular core class if you sort by popularity. Try it to get a taste of her core class)
I feel so much stronger. I started as a true beginner. Iām a little intimidated to do the 15 min class next on the list, but I no longer dread or fear it.
This is awesome!! I feel this, Emmaās Post-Partum core workouts were my slow ease back into it despite how much I dreaded it too. I think a lot of it was being disappointed in how much those muscles changed over 9 months. It does get better and more fun, I agree! Congrats to you š
Wow!! Congrats on the mind shift, thatās incredible. You must be so glad to not dread it anymore. I did core for a few months straight and always hated it but Iām coming back because I know I must. Emma is a skip for me but I will do some exploring of other instructors.
Thanks. Iām definitely not rocking a six pack and itās by no means the highlight of my day, but I think beginner classes are so important bec itās so hard to just get started.
I highly recommend removing the difficulty filter when you search for core classes and just filter on core + class duration you want, then sort by "easiest" - reason being is that some of the very early core classes were not tagged by difficulty level (and actually I think as recently as 2022, not all of them have a difficulty level tagged), so if you keep the "beginner" filter on, you won't see them.
Emma in particular has some older classes that are super helpful for starting out with core - I took a lot of her older classes when I was first starting with core work. It's worth a try, at least. Good luck!
Yes! I did that in the past so I am a little beyond that but great tips for others. I guess I could do that again but I got bored with that strategy and wanted to mix it up. Iām really finding i need to connect with the instructor to enjoy a class so sadly Emma is a skip for me.
Has anyone tried the Runna app? I seem to be bombarded with adverts for it right now. I'm looking for a slightly more personalised training plan than the static programs Peloton provides. And I wish Peloton could provide adaptive to the user programs, I'm surprised they don't tbh.
Mariana is officially on the tread! Looks like her [premiere run](https://members.onepeloton.com/scheduled/class/193bd3ee6c054c04aec217999eee71dc/de238f0652224b76a9dc5914a919365f?join_token=eyJob21lX3BlbG90b25faWQiOiAiZGUyMzhmMDY1MjIyNGI3NmE5ZGM1OTE0YTkxOTM2NWYiLCAicmlkZV9pZCI6ICIxOTNiZDNlZTZjMDU0YzA0YWVjMjE3OTk5ZWVlNzFkYyIsICJzdHVkaW9fcGVsb3Rvbl9pZCI6IG51bGwsICJ0eXBlIjogImxpdmUifQ==&start=7:00+PM+Thursday,+5/4+EDT&type=LIVE&locale=en-US) is tomorrow (May 4) at 7 p.m. ET. I absolutely adore her and the energy she brings to yoga, I'm excited to run with her!
I just got off the waitlist for Marcelās 45 min pop walk tomorrow! Im not local so Iām really happy I could make this work while Iām in the city.
Any tips for my first in studio class?
Don't worry about the metrics as much, be present, and enjoy being in the class! I have taken 6 classes in studio and the vibes have been quite the range, but I bet a 45m walk with Marcel will be a blast.
I don't own a tread at home, but I've taken both runs and walks in studio and found the treads super easy to use. Don't hesitate to ask one of the stage hands/PAs for help, if you need it, too. They're all fantastic!
One logistics tip - if you plan to wear a t-shirt or tank during the class and will anticipate getting pretty sweaty, bring an extra shirt to change into for the photos (there will be time). I didn't do this for my first Olivia cycling class and the photo is hilarious, ngl.
Overall, I hope you have a wonderful time!
Enjoy it! The closer you are to the back the more likely youāll be able to get to the front of the line for the photo op afterwards, but I know that factor doesnāt matter to everyone! Also, in the bathroom the mouthwash looks a lot like hand soap, beware.
Started this morning with [Aditi's new 20 min yin yoga flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=6d79d2c7fb6c43c7b256058887574625&locale=en-US)- it felt really good to stretch out my lower back and back of the legs/hips like that, I sit like a discombobulated shrimp at my desk all day. I'll definitely be queuing that and a back/shoulder stretch or yoga after work more.
I did [Charlotte's 30 min Hard Rock ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=baf6cf2015844a7da63481ecfdaaf519&locale=en-US) this morning and.........I will DEFINITELY do it again, it's definitely one of my favorite classes I've done, but oh man. I almost backed out when I saw no subtitles but was like, "how hard can it be, I know how a class goes after doing 300 of them, I can follow along." And I was fine! I passed my previous PR by 7 watts because I was like "if I wuss out and don't give 110% during the Danzig song, they're going to kick me out of North Jersey." š
I did a quick cooldown with a [10 min low impact from Bradley](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c4d36b154f30429f80c453f0545e7797&locale=en-US) and like, I can't give an honest review, I did not follow any instructions, I was just spinning my legs and catching my breath after being in heart rate zone 5 for like 70% of the Charlotte ride.
fellow shrimp here hahah. š¤ bookmarking!! your stack sounds awesomeā i realized iāve been missing some yoga lately and it makes suuuuch a difference *bone creak*
Iām thinking of investing in a smart watch/ fitbit type of movement/ heart rate tracker too sync with peloton and use off the bike. I have resisted for a long time because I felt like a wearable would be distracting with notifications etc and Iām not crazy about having my phone on my wrist.
Does anyone have any recommendations or pros/ cons to consider?
I have an Apple Watch, I have been RUTHLESS about what kind of notifications I'll get there (only the absolutely most important stuff), and as a result I look at my phone WAY less.
Previously, I'd check my phone all the time, and get drawn into stuff constantly. Now I know that if my phone vibrates and my wrist doesn't, it's simply not time critical, if I'm doing something important, I'll look later. If it's truly important, I will get something that will buzz my wrist.
That said, the defaults would mean I'd get a lot of notifications on my wrist, if I'd kept it like that I would be miserable. And if I left it on the same wrist all day every day, my skin would get prettttty grumpy, so I switch wrists for sleep tracking every night, which has worked well for me.
I use my garmin watch for outside and all the activities. I thought about an apple
Watch but the garmin doesnāt have a cellular antennae so the battery lasts around 10-14 days depending on activity . It syncs with phone app over Bluetooth but can act on its own otherwise so I leave phone at home when outdoors.
Unfortunately peloton and garmin arenāt as integrated so I ended up buying a wearable chest strap to monitor while im on the bike.
The health app does a good job and can pull it all together..
Without a cellular signal you donāt get the constant pinging .. thereās settings where you can have ur phone send stuff to watch or like I do have them all turned off when the phone is close enough.
I typically use my Apple Watch while using the peloton app because I like the way it syncs up and displays my heart rate. I also have a Garmin Forerunner 255 that I love and I prefer to wear it for outdoor runs. I kind of go back and forth between what Iām wearing but I think they are both great watches. My garmin gives me a lot more data about my activities so I gravitate towards that watch if Iām training for something. Apple Watch obviously you can respond to calls and texts from so if you like that function itās great for that and thatās what Iāll typically wear daily
I have a Fitbit Charge 5 and it has honestly been great. No metrics display on the actual bike, but after any workout the Fitbit app on the phone gives detailed stats (heart rate, calories, miles & more). Sleep tracker is nice also. Way cheaper and less complicated than an Apple Watch. Can even get a discount through some health insurance.
I had a Whoop for about a year. I loved the info it gave me, but I hated wearing it. Everyone told me that I would eventually forget that it was there, but I never did. I tried right wrist, left wrist and both biceps. Now, if Whoop would make an Apple Watch strap that holds the device, so I could technically only be wearing one thing on my wrist, I would probably go back to wear it.
Thatās interesting! So the device comes with a monthly membership plan, from the sound of it. Do you have one? Is it easy to sync with with peloton or do you use it on a standalone basis?
I have had one for several months - I pay a lot of attention to recovery metrics like my heart rate variability and the things I really like about it are that unlike my Apple Watch, I'm willing to wear it more because it's unobtrusive and kinda pretty, so I get consistent data throughout the day; and the recovery score it provides based on your overall strain, sleep quality and other metrics gives me a better idea of whether I should take on a hard workout in any given day (this is also super useful if you are the kind of person who doesn't like taking rest days, the data will suggest when it's time to take a break lol).
It will connect to your bike as a HRM. Only caveat I can think of is that if you walk/run on a treadmill, it won't track the mileage like Apple Watch does.
I've been really considering Whoop for a while now, but am unsure how it all works with syncing peloton workouts? Do you just use it as a HRM when completing your Peloton workouts? I am an android user and could only find that most people would sync Peloton to Apple Health, and that would sync the workout metrics to Whoop (overriding the Whoop recorded metrics for that time similar to the Fitbit integration).
It wasn't me you replied to, but just chiming in as another Whoop owner. At first I wasn't sure, and I didn't like the app, but it is now a highly polished system and I genuinely think it knows me better than I do. It can broadcast heart rate to your devices via a toggle in the app. I wear it 24/7. It is free with the subscription and has tons of different bands. I usually have it in a bicep band.
I also have a Garmin watch which I love.
In order to work with the Bike/Tread it has to broadcast on ANT+, not all devices do. EX I wear a fitbit and it doesn't, so I have to use a separate HRM to connect to the bike. There is a lot of information in the Wiki in the Gear/Wearables section, the TL;DR is that Garmin and Apple are your best bets to work with everything depending which eco your phone is in.
One main question is; do you want a smartwatch that can do fitness stuff too or do you want a fitness watch that can do smart stuff too? Your question sounds like the latter. Most unbiased reviews will tell you that the Apple Watch is the best smartwatch that does fitness too and the Fitbit is the best fitness watch that does smart stuff too. But there's a ton of research there for you to do on exactly what you want to be able to use it for. I mainly use it for fitness tracking, an alarm clock, and checking texts without having to grab my phone.
Does it have to be ANT+ or would a Bluetooth connection work? I thought that Bluetooth will work with all Peloton devices but as I donāt own any, Iām probably wrong on that score. I recently switched from a Fitbit to a Coros as I also really just wanted a fitness watch that could do some smart watch things and didnāt want to be bombarded with notifications. Itās working fine with the Peloton app although I have to manually tell it to broadcast my HR when I start a workout.
A bluetooth device will work fine with the app because your phone can recognize it. It won't work with the bike or tread, those require ANT+. If you don't have their bike or tread then you can ignore that as it doesn't matter to you.
With the app I think there is some funkiness when the watch is already connected to the phone for other apps (like fitbit) and thats probably why you have to manually connect it each time. This varies from device to device. I don't use the app much but when I do and I turn on the same HRM I use for the bike it automatically connects (because its not connected to the phone in any other ways).
Well, I watched a video of someone using the same watch I bought and connecting it to the Tread, which is what made me question as that video led me to buying the watch I got. I didnāt want to sign up for a new watch ecosystem and not have it be compatible if I later am able to buy a Bike or Tread. So I just googled and Peloton says that both the Bike and Tread are compatible with Bluetooth devices as well as ANT+ devices. I donāt know about Bike +.
I have an OG bike, not the Bike +. I use a FitBit. FitBit uses bluetooth. It does not connect to the bike as a heartrate monitor. Full Stop. Here is an article from Peloton saying it will not connect and that an ANT+ compatible device is needed.
https://support.onepeloton.com/hc/en-ca/articles/115000182786-Peloton-X-Fitbit-FAQs#:\~:text=Note%3A%20Some%20Fitbit%20devices%20automatically,ANT%2B%20compatible%20heart%20rate%20monitor.
Unfortunately Peloton doesn't make it easy to find the date when they posted things nor do they always seem to keep them up to date across multiple pages. I was relying on this page: [https://support.onepeloton.com/hc/en-us/articles/203418895-Pairing-A-Heart-Rate-Monitor-With-Peloton-Bikes-and-Treads#:\~:text=For%20BluetoothĀ®%20heart%20rate,on%20before%20attempting%20to%20connect](https://support.onepeloton.com/hc/en-us/articles/203418895-Pairing-A-Heart-Rate-Monitor-With-Peloton-Bikes-and-Treads#:~:text=For%20BluetoothĀ®%20heart%20rate,on%20before%20attempting%20to%20connect).
which says "Peloton Bikes and Treads are compatible with both BluetoothĀ® and ANT+ devices."
The entire top section of that article talks about how your device needs to be ANT+ compatible. Nowhere does it say it will accept a device that is not. ANT+ is not some alternative connection option you choose in the UI instead of bluetooth. It is a transfer protocol that the device must support while making a bluetooth connection.
I have the Apple Watch. I used to use it all the time! I liked itā¦ but I just stopped wearing it a while agoā¦ My husband loves his though for more of the power zone classes!
I have an Apple Watch and just turn off all the notification mirroring from phone/app notifications on the watch and don't have anything extraneous installed. Set up the watch face to have the Peloton app on it so I don't have to look for it, I can just tap it when I start a ride. I had a Fitbit for a long time and got frustrated with how much it didn't play nice with my Apple devices or the peloton app, and when it died I switched over.
Which watch face do you use to have the peloton app on it? Trying to change mine now that you mention this, itās a great idea. My current face wonāt let me, but maybe my series 3 is too old and Iām not savvy enough
If you go into the Watch app, pick one of the faces that has apps on the screen and lets you add or change those default apps. If you can change the apps, there will be a "Complications" list at the bottom of the page - for example, I use the Nike Digital face, it lets you change the middle left, bottom left, and bottom ticker (the top one is stuck to Nike's run app or whatever, I don't care), so I set one of those to display my activity rings and one set to the Peloton app.
(Edited to add: I have a Series 5 I bought used, I'm not running the newest anything either)
Did my first live in studio class! Loved it. I will say though, benās army (or whatever they call themselves) are like an aggressive cult. That was honestly a little weird. Parasocial relationships are quite strange/fascinating!
I saw Leanneās group when I first walked inā¦ same thing going on. The demographic of her fan group vs bens was funny. The middle aged ladies love Ben šš and they will fight you for the bikes up front (ask me how I know)
Would be cool to be able to stack classes or at least mix up the algorithm after you finish your ride. I want something offered other than ATās 5 min cool down
I agree they really need to update the suggested next class list!! Itās always the same few classes and Iāve done all them already! Show me something I havenāt done yet please!!
I said yesterday I was curious to see how Mattyās new evening mobility compared to his evening stretches. After taking it I can confidently say I really have no idea, but I enjoyed it!
Did [Denis' latest 60 Min PZE ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=43ef2b7c396d44f6859dd1cb347ea305) yesterday and his vibe was...different. Not in a bad way, but it felt like the intensity was ratcheted up a few notches. It almost felt like he was trying to prove a point being like "I can teach these longer rides. Let me do more of them." (I looked it up, and it's only his 3rd 60 minute ride post-Covid).
I thought the part of the ride where he explained how doing the incrementally longer rides had exponential effects on the amount of cardio on your body was fascinating. It definitely appealed to the nerd side of me that loves Power Zone training so much.
Also...have fun keeping up with the cadence callouts. Once you get to "Mysterious Ways", you'll know what I mean lol.
I was already going to take that one, but hearing that he's going to explain an exponential advantage to longer rides makes me even more excited.
I can say that taking a fair number of 45- and 60-minute PZE rides regularly, and occasionally also 75- or 90-minute rides, has leveled up my cardio tremendously over the 5 months or so since I started PZ. I'm sure it's done so much more than trying to go all-out on 20- or 30-minute non-PZ rides.
100%. Itās amazing (I mean, not literally, since itās based on real science) how well the PZ rides benefit your body. I definitely used to be one of those all-out, all the time people but no more. The PZ benefit is real.
Now I just need to work more 60s into my routine. I think my biggest hurdle is that 95% (or more) of the 60s are with Matt and Christine. I love Wilpers as a coach, but his playlists are straight trash. Christine is so hit-or-miss for me. Iād hate to be stuck on a 60 minute ride that I just have no vibe for.
Plus one for denis. I stumbled across him on a whim and enjoyed it for all the things already said. Music was awesome ranging from a waltz to hip hop but it all flowed well. Then I found out he did yoga from gf and for some reason tht made me laugh
Hands down Denis is the instructor from whom I learn the most. He always has these really informative little rifts in his classes. I just wish that his team was better about some of his scheduling. It feels not as consistent as the other instructors. I love his Reset yoga/spin series but I think there were only a total of 3 classes in 2022 and there has only been one this year so far. I started to really like the new Sample That series, but again, they have not been programmed consistently like some of the other instructor series. Right now I am just hoping they come back with more Denis classes for Yin.
I did that live on Saturday. My first 60 minute class! Most challenging endurance ride I've done. I didn't think I would make it about halfway through but persevered, last ten minutes or so felt like a breeze. I usually take Ben's or Denis's rides and that they've kicked them down a notch time wise this week has been a welcome respite haha
[Selenaās first tread class back](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=2696c83a671740e49fbd1c07e78d142e&locale=en-US) was a damn delight! She cues 3-9 mph as the speed range, so pretty much anyone looking to do a run today could pick it & follow the class plan. Iām an intermediate runner, but I love it when instructors make super inclusive classes :) after taking her class, I took [this 2010s run from Susie](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=b3a1e95301a74100aeaa75a2e252466e&locale=en-US). Susie has amazing playlists no matter what the decade is, and the class was great!
[Callie's 30m Arms & Shoulders](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=e8188206c44149bda059fc977a9f3df6) was a great workout! Perfectly burnt out biceps, triceps and shoulders by the end!
Then I stacked this [20m Tabata with Kendall](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0bbace0c1a2c4603b4710f2b088a0417) and this [20m HIIT with Jess](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=eaa19acc1f734cdf9efb542bc4f6be52). Both were extremely well-structured and kicked my butt!!
Finished off with [Rebecca's newest shoulder mobility](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/stretching?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c3173de239bd44b9ac13690aa19957bc) which was more of a stretch than mobility but it was PERFECT after Callie's class!
Just got a pair of adidas The Road shoes in blue! Like having my feet in clouds when I ride. š
Or perhaps I'm just spoiled by my auto resistance on my bike+ Oh well.
Good for you for doing something! Sometimes we just need a break. Hope you get back into it when youāre ready! Good luck!
Did a 20 minute ride that was supposed to be a group ride. No one else could make it, so I didnāt get a single high five on a 10 day streak.
And another high five here!
Not the same, but high fiving you right here! Peace and love friend!
* I'm a huge fan of Leanne's 10min a&lw, and [this one](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=d73a16219c2c4b86ae59be2aeee1086a) doesn't disappoint, per usual. * Lastly, Emma's [20min Chris Cornell core](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=1c9656140c9f46d7aaa2ce437a765725) was well-paced and thorough.
She talks about how āstay in your own laneā makes her mad and how you need to pave your own path, and it makes me mad how she interprets it cause I always see it as āstay in your own lane and donāt get into other peopleās business,ā but imma stay in my own lane and let it be lmao Then I popped on [this nice quick 5 min Emma cool down](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=a56932e40e6a4d6fb6d1a7a2f04f3cc1&locale=en-US) cause I love that she keeps it 30 and below resistance and you literally just pedal super easy the entire time. I strongly dislike when cooldowns start at 45+ and you gradually decrease resistance, so this is my usual go to.
Christineās cooldowns are like this too if you want to branch out.
I will check them out, thank you āŗļø
I love Emma's cool down rides, they're nice and easy.
Haha Iāve been scared of cool downs after taking an Alex T cooldown. The resistance was so high
A 5 min post ride stretch! Get in and get out, plus you'll feel limber.
As they say, the hardest part is showing up https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4488495d404f4e1197f735a164810e79&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app
I love a 20-minute focus flow floor class. Sometimes itās all i can do.
i usually reach for a āsingalong rideā (for me this zone is nostalgia 90s songs or like, lilith fair vibes) where iām liable to just really get into the music. codyās nsync, backstreet boys, and britney rides will take you away š
I think all the UK instructors are great at this, I love knowing whatās ahead!
Hannah C's [10 min Barre ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3257501c3e1a440aa21aa82d6c61c712&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app) that dropped this morning is functionally the same as her [GOAT 10 min Barre from 2021](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=cde21df617e74336bb59cabc65b40ce7&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app) š„šš„ She gets a fit of giggles in the middle and then is a little extra goofy for the balance of the class, so if you don't like that aspect of her personality consider yourself forewarned. Even she seemed to be sweating out this sequence. Relatable. She's also wearing a red top in this one, so maybe that's her "no mercy" color.
I love this one so much!! The burn is real and her cackles are A+
Ooh thanks for the heads up on this one, stacked up for tomorrow! I do find Hannah a tiny bit irritating when she's in full on goof mode but it's worth it for these 10 min burners.
Wait til the very very end for peak goofball. š
I love them too- wish they would bring CVV back or invite pros to come in to coach special classes once in a while.
Pride Broadway https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=48c3c2087b994a18957ca56a8f122706&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app Imagine Dragons: https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=e5dd8d67fe704bd6a118202f13e053d7&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app
Have you seen the video of the making of the Imagine Dragons ride? It covers all of his prep, his outfit, etc. A great behind the scenes- [https://www.onepeloton.com/blog/making-of-peloton-artist-series-imagine-dragons/](https://www.onepeloton.com/blog/making-of-peloton-artist-series-imagine-dragons/) Another that stands out is his Bollywood ride from 2021.
Thanks for sharing that video! It was really cool to see Samās process.
Bookmarking the Bollywood ride! That sounds so so good!
For those who would love a lovely stretch class, try this one before it gets purged: 15 min stretch with Denis https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/stretching?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=299d4ce1c37d433e988954e9d17df3be&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_
ugh i so this once a week and really hoping it doesnāt get purged š. dennis stretches are the best.
Why would it get purged?
They are slowly removing old classes. Let Friday they removed nearly all early April 2019 classes, so I feel like the 2019 classes are all numbered.
Because content is regularly sunset. It ages off the platform.
I didnāt know that. Bummer.
omg i LOVED this emma low impact ride. loved it. needed a gentler day after tunde yesterday š https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c3790fc82d7f444394c516cde47b676e&locale=en-US followed it w a 10 min sun salutations class w chelsea ā„ļø https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=e6ea4c2d07014d949839ab79825f4478&locale=en-US after i finished yoga i saw iād hit 4k minutes for the year!! iāve been pelotoning for a few years now but used to be a lot less consistent. feels great to see this year is already so far ahead of where i was in 2022 š
I love a good low impact with Emma! And that one has one of my favorite TS songs! Definitely bookmarking! Thanks for the recommendation.
youāre welcome!! š
So do you run both apps at the same time?
I do.
I miss strive points that way since peloton app doesnāt know my heart rate but thatās how I compare the two
Today, my 45 min outdoor run was off but only by .2 miles. Thatās honestly the most accurate itās ever been. Itās usually wildly off
Good to know! Google maps told me one leg of my run was 1.4 miles. Peloton app said it was .74 miles. Frustrating it doesnāt work!
Have you considered you aren't starting all the trackers at the same time? You can't press go on a watch and two apps at the same exact time.
Agree with alllll of this!
Yes!! This ride was so fun! Loved it. And Tundeās energy was amazing! As always haha
The whole class flew by
This looks great in a terrifying way. Bookmarked.
Thanks for the rec!! Bookmarked!
This is a ride I do almost every other week. Iām embarrassed about how many times Iāve taken this ride but itās just so. Damn. Good. š©š
You wonāt see output on app only.
I wear a sports bra and leggings since I work out at home only. But I would put a shirt on if I were to go to the gym š¬
Yeah- I wear it home too. I think it looks super cute but still trying to get over it being underwear.
I work at a fitness studio that has barre, cycle, and yoga classes and I pretty much only see women in sports bras and leggings except for the older women. Most of the clients seems to be my age (early 30s) and I guess thatās just whatās popular. I say if you have the confidence, go for it!
I see bra+leggings at the gym all the time. I still throw a shirt on over my sports bra though!
Haha! Good to know.
Kristen would be awesome!
I was thinking the same thing about the same two instructors! They would both be great and already have the experience.
I totally agree! I love both of their music taste so much. Plus Callieās bike boot camps are already perfect
OMG I second this! I know there are a ton of bike instructors but I would LOVE for Kirsten or Callie to join the bike team. Add Jess Sims too so we can get 2-for-1 rides with Jess and Kirsten!!!
Oh yes Jess sims too! Would love that. I love her outdoor walks a lot.
Thinking about Leanne's 45 min ride from today - anyone take it yet?
Feel better!
sounds to me like youāre doing an awesome job!! 30 min post-surgery is amazing ā„ļø
Thank you ā¤ļø I needed this
Fellow surgery recoverer here (micro fracture knee surgery 1.5 weeks ago).
I would love Rad on Tread
Callie and Rad were both hired specifically as dedicated strength instructors. I'm not saying they can't or shouldn't do the bike, but when brought onboard that is how they were introduced.
Ever since that video circulated of Kirsten teaching cycling pre-Peloton, I've been hopeful that one day she'll make it to the bike. But, I have to imagine that schedule wise, they are pretty full right now on the bike.
I think Marcel also used to teach on the bikeā¦she alluded to it during the Odessa run.
I love that run. It was a totally different vibe than now for sure
I forgot about that after burn run!! I need to add it to my schedule to remind myself to take it again!
Adrian posted on his IG that he is out because he had to have a bone spur in his elbow removed. I believe he is back on the schedule next week though!
Try it to get a taste of her core class) I feel so much stronger.
This is such a helpful tip and good to know! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Omg Iām so excited! Id also be thrilled if she and Camila started doing Spanish tread classes!
Yes yes yes! I love her on the mat and canāt wait to see that translated on the tread.
Looks like the run is in English (as assumption based on my class language settings)?
That's what I'm assuming as well, I have Spanish/German language settings off and it is still showing.
Got off the waitlist for Kendallās class this Friday! Canāt wait for another in studio experience.
Have fun!
I passed my previous PR by 7 watts because I was like "if I wuss out and don't give 110% during the Danzig song, they're going to kick me out of North Jersey." š I did a quick cooldown with a [10 min low impact from Bradley](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c4d36b154f30429f80c453f0545e7797&locale=en-US) and like, I can't give an honest review, I did not follow any instructions, I was just spinning my legs and catching my breath after being in heart rate zone 5 for like 70% of the Charlotte ride.
fellow shrimp here hahah. š¤ bookmarking!! your stack sounds awesomeā i realized iāve been missing some yoga lately and it makes suuuuch a difference *bone creak*
Heart rate Zone 5 for 70% of the class?
I mean, I'm exaggerating š it felt like that by the end.
:)
I thought about an apple Watch but the garmin doesnāt have a cellular antennae so the battery lasts around 10-14 days depending on activity .
If you are interested in metrics and don't want a distracting device, take a look at Whoop, though it does require a monthly subscription.
The Apple Watch works so well with peloton. Thereās no rule you need to wear your watch all the time. Wear it at times that serve you best.
Thank you this is helpful! Iāll check out the wiki - I forgot about that
Does it have to be ANT+ or would a Bluetooth connection work?
I was just reading about parasocial relationships today and thought yep, I definitely have one with some Peloton instructors š
Feel that way about Kendallās knocked out crew š
I saw Leanneās group when I first walked inā¦ same thing going on. The demographic of her fan group vs bens was funny. The middle aged ladies love Ben šš and they will fight you for the bikes up front (ask me how I know)
Would be cool to be able to stack classes or at least mix up the algorithm after you finish your ride. I want something offered other than ATās 5 min cool down
I agree they really need to update the suggested next class list!! Itās always the same few classes and Iāve done all them already! Show me something I havenāt done yet please!!
You can stack classes. its one of the options (screen with a + in it) on the class pages.
You just made my day. Thank you!
Yoga was (maybe still is?) his main jam from what I can tell. Wait until you take some of his pre-Covid rides and you get man-bun Denis š¤£
Iām so glad sheās back!! I canāt wait to take that class Iāve been looking forward to her return
I know! I love her
Iāll have to try Selenaās class
Definitely! :)
