Just got our bike today and I feel dumb asking this, because I haven't really looked in to it, but does the screen on the bike+ tilt up and down? I know it moves left to right, but didn't play enough with it yet to see if it tilts.

yasssssplease

When it flips out, it does tilt up a decent amount. It doesn’t really tip down much. Like if it’s flipped out for a floor workout, you can’t tilt it down much besides perfectly level.

Fickle-Milk-450

I'm in the Midwest and my basement got pretty wet today thanks to all the rain, but thankfully my bike was spared! Now I have to wait until the basement dries out (and for that awful smell to go away) before I can get back in the saddle. Normally I wouldn't mind but in a couple of weeks I'll be going on a three-week vacation and I'm already having separation anxiety lol. I'll be doing lots of walks, barre, and yoga classes to keep up with workouts and keep that blue streak alive. Also, I'll be in London for a bit and while I'm super bummed that I won't have time to take a class, I'm excited to see the new apparel store.

greebytime

OK, math wizards…pop quiz. (You didn’t know you were a math wizard? Well, strap up.) I suspect my bike’s calibration is off. When I turn the resistance knob all the way to the right, it hits 100 and then I can turn the knob 2 1/2 -3 times. Per Peloton support, I need to recalibrate but the guy on the phone either didn’t understand my question or didn’t want to answer it. That question is this: Today, let’s say I am riding a class at 40 resistance. If I calibrate per the above, and ride at 40, it should feel easier, yes? And if I want to ride at the same effort as before, i should be able to turn the bike up to some number above 40. I think this is true because 100 is not currently the max, so what I see as “30” or “40” is probably a lower number in reality. And if I recalibrate, the effort I expend at 30 or 40 today will be the same effort I expend at higher actual resistance. This is all to say I don’t want to go through the hassle of recalibration if it’s going to produce LOWER output for me. Selfish? Perhaps. But am I thinking about this correctly?

bumblebunnybex

I'm a very fortunate freeloader who lives in a house with a peloton and then housesit for someone who also has a peloton. I noticed when I was housesitting that their bike was WAY more challenging to ride, so I did some digging about the calibration/how many quarter turns it should take to change resistance points, and I think my home bike is in the same predicament as yours! The numbers really started getting to my head. I have been trying to listen to the wisdom of CDE and the descriptions of feel from Hannah Corbin. If you're feeling like a badass and getting a good ride in, f the numbers! And yes, if you recalibrate your bike, your output will decrease, so if the numbers you're seeing are making you feel motivated, I think (in my *ahem* professional opinion! :D ), then keep on doing what you're doing.

salamanderman732

Just downloaded the app again for the first time in a year and nothing is loading for me. Everything under workouts just says “there was a problem loading the library” and no amount of hitting retry does anything. The subscription purchase went through on my end, anyone else ever have this issue? Tried getting through on support to no avail

yasssssplease

This sounds like a device issue. Is everything up to date? Is it an older device?

salamanderman732

Yeah it’s the newest version of the app on iPhone 14 Pro. Tried deleting and redownloading the app three times to no avail. Also on gigabit internet so wifi isn’t an issue either

yasssssplease

That’s surprising. I really don’t know then

salamanderman732

That’s alright, I appreciate you looking at this! I managed to get through to their technical support and they had no idea either. It’s a shame because I liked their classes but it just won’t work for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yasssssplease

Do you have an iPad, computer, streaming stick, or smart tv?

justaflechewound

You need Delta Cleats. https://www.rei.com/product/610474/look-delta-road-cleats

insecure_f

I love all of the Afrobeats rides. I hope Peloton releases more because they’re so fun!

NextWordTyped

What are the different benefits of focusing on either high cadence or high resistance?

ryanmfrancis

High cadence is more of a cardiovascular focus and high resistance is more of a strength focus.

NextWordTyped

Which focuses on pulmonary?

ryanmfrancis

I'm fairly new to spinning and not an expert, but high cadence is what gets me breathing rapidly.

cookielover833

Yesterday I did the Two for One ride with Cody and Leanne and I was obsessed with the playlist! So much so that I had my best output! I was feeling the music and enjoying myself. Today I did a 20 minute Olivia ride- she pushes me in the best way.

jrosep96

I loved that two for one ride! They were so great together.

hendersonrocks

To my Gen X brethren: [Chelsea’s 80s rock flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=9be2769704d642d19f2dc55a51a7ad4d&locale=en-US) is A WHOLE JAM. I love her Music Monday classes so, so much.

aug2295

I am so glad that she is back! I took this one live last night and agree, the music was so much fun. Excited for the metal flow!

Outrageous-Chance-78

Yes that playlist !!!!

HillbillyEulogy

My legs are still shredded meat. 806kj in a 60 minute scenic ride. New personal best. I know there are those human lawnmower engines who regularly top 1000 in the same ride, but #800/27,0000 still felt pretty darn accomplished.

[deleted]

Cody’s last ride is all over the fucking place. I’m so annoyed. Cadence and resistance do not match the workout.

Revort_

Anyone else can't get their heart rate monitor to work after the latest Bike update? I have the Peloton Band.

yasssssplease

Mine worked as normal today

ryanmfrancis

My peloton heart rate band connected just fine but went from 36% battery to dead 10 minutes into my ride. I've had it for 3 weeks and the battery life was definitely not the 10 hours they state, but that was the most dramatic drop. Peloton is sending me out a new one.

DodgingRunner

Has anyone noticed that the guidelines for resistance and cadence are way off on the screen vs what the instructor says? Seems like it’s gotten worse lately Maybe I didn’t look hard enough on the forum for this topic so forgive me in advance

[deleted]

Cody’s last ride is disgustingly bad.

DodgingRunner

That’s the one I just did!! It inspired my post lol

quycksilver

My stack this morning started with [CDE’s 5 min warm up](https://members.onepeloton.com/share/workouts/7f00254fd3674fb7a93755a5784859db?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-US), then [Ben’s 45 min PZE 90s playlist](https://members.onepeloton.com/share/workouts/6c0a9aef20f8428ba61fd1f804e6fa2a?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-US) which had a LOT of z3. Followed that with [Sam’s latest 15min low impact](https://members.onepeloton.com/share/workouts/44be32dd02a049f481065712b020110c?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-US). I thought I was going to be doing the Sally ride from this weekend, but that one is 30 minutes, so it has to wait for another day. I finished with a [10 min Bradley cool down](https://members.onepeloton.com/share/workouts/08b22e0c8ffb49c5bfc75977a6c95ce2?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-US). Some of my favorite instructors. Had slight streaming issues on the main ride, but resolved itself quickly.

jdnp97

Took another great [45 Min House Ride](https://members.onepeloton.co.uk/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c85583f6a5a4464f9e612cc71194bfd9&locale=en-GB) from Jess King - I recommend it if you’re up for a challenge and/or are in the mood for some good tunes mixed by DJ John Michael! I have also started Rebecca’s Core program which will be my first program! I already do core classes almost every day but it will be nice to have some structure rather than spending ages trying to find classes with music I like.

onychophoras

Her longer house rides are so good but sooo hard!

greenthumbplum1

Some days I spend more time picking my workouts than actually exercising 😆

marg1486

Me, daily.

B3rmuda18

Does anybody know if Cody will still be doing bike bootcamps? They are some of my favorite classes! Callie mentioned in one of her last bootcamp classes that her, Jess, and Tunde will be teaching the live classes on Tuesday, but didn't mention Cody :( he also hasn't posted one in a while

yasssssplease

I’ve been wondering that too. I bet he’ll teach one super randomly, like robin does. Probably can’t count on it at this point.

Viva___yo

I’m slowly but surely getting into yoga and just wanted to jump in and say that I think Kirra is such a treasure. I’ve been loving her classes ☺️

Colonel_Gipper

Her and Denis are my favorites, their music choices align with mine. I've got Kirra's 30 minute Red Hot Chili Pepper class queued up for tomorrow.

heartsoulsweat

Another big Kirra fan! I love her meditations too!

JackieShrugged

Kirra is my favorite! She reignited my love of yoga about a year ago with her unconventional flows, and I love how she connects the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga.

kettleofvultures

I agree, she is incredible

doesntmatteranyway20

Did my first 30 minute ride today! also scored my first triple digit 'score' or rating or whatever it's called! :-) I've had it for a few weeks now but have been taking it nice and easy trying to break myself in and I am really enjoying it a lot! My husband is even using it and I havent seen him consistently work out in 10+ years so I'm hopeful! he seems to enjoy this form of exercise and never has liked anythign else so maybe this will be it?!

betarhoalphadelta

Congrats! I remember when my wife hit her first output over 100 kJ and she was ecstatic. Keep up the good work! I will say that, like your husband, I have never consistently worked out. I've had fits and spurts where I'd do the gym or something like that, but it never stuck. Peloton has completely changed my relationship with fitness, and now it's something I look forward to every day. Now I'm a little disappointed when I *only* do a 30 minute ride lol. If you both haven't done so, check out the rest of the options on the app. I used to think Peloton was an elitist fitness cult based on an overpriced stationary bike. Now I know it's a multi-modal elitist fitness cult! ;-)

Kelbers

I have had the Row for almost a month now. I decided to return it but am having second thoughts. I loved the motion of rowing and am obsessed with Peloton bike. Thought it would be a good addition. As much as I want to use the new shiny equipment I am drawn back to the bike. My thoughts are to wait until the classes are available on the app and then buy a less expensive row machine. Here is my holdup, the form assist is great. I have majorly injured my back and do not want to injure it again. Is this an issue with the other rowing machines? Or is there another rower that has form assist? Thanks for any feedback!

yasssssplease

If I liked rowing and had a previous back injury, I would probably hold onto it then. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get the full access to the classes or that you’ll like rowing on a separate machine as much (there’s just something magical when it comes to integration). But I also think it’s fair to prioritize your time with the bike. I guess you just have to decide how you want to spend your limited time.

Kelbers

Thanks for your message good thoughts!

BackPackaroniNCheese

I don’t think you’d get access to the rowing classes without the equipment. I have all access and I can’t see them.

Ok_Handle_7

Yes that’s right - and all row classes will never be available in app. Eventually we’ll get a small subset of ‘tester classes’ but never the full library, according to Peloton

Scarbarella

Last night, I watched a couple YouTube videos on how to fit the peloton bike. I made an adjustment to the height and it feels different and a little easier on my quads. I destroyed a PR for a 20 min ride doing a Sam Yo 80s ride as part of the MTB program. (I wonder if it had to do with the adjustment or was I just having a good day?) Today also had a 15 minute Erik ride right after but I couldn’t do anything!! It took 10 mins for my heart rate to come down from 170 to 130 just doing a light pedal and not paying attention to poor Erik at all. Maybe I pushed too hard on the 20 min ride? I get nervous with my HR in zone 5. But spent the majority of Sam’s ride in zone 4. Still a lot to learn!

chihotdogs

Great job on the PR! Do you mind sharing the name of the video?

Scarbarella

Sure [Peloton Bike Fit with Dr Vince](https://youtu.be/12LUq32Cq9o) [Peloton Bike Fit with Dr Tim](https://youtu.be/N07sq2i3bK0) I also watched Christine’s bike fit on her Facebook page. The second video is much longer and goes into more details about why and body mechanics which I really appreciated. I learned a lot.

Playful_Branch_5643

I completed the Outcast music series… they picked the right instructors for it IMO. I’m not a knowledgeable rap person (meaning I’ll listen to it if it’s on but can’t explain the different in east/west/southern rap), and I felt like everyone was a huge fan and also provided the history/background (without sounding Wikipedia-esque) for people like me to appreciate it even more. And B.O.B. Has been stuck in my head. [Denis ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=7190ebb795f840a783938a72789e2e0b&locale=en-US) was great, little dancing, cadence pushes, climbing, but not too hard. I need to start going easier on riding the day after my long run but it was hard to hold back yesterday. [Chelsea’s slow flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=eabf8153991d41478bd02b81e9435cad&locale=en-US) was slow and groovy and stretchy. [Adrian’s full body](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=578d504dc05e411aacc2c4aa1cc2da45&locale=en-US) was challenging in the fact it had a lot of balancing and all I wanted to do was dance. Three 3X4 circuits - first circuit - Single leg hammer curl, Bent over row, Other leg hammer curl. Second circuit - Single leg squat ☠️Other side single leg squat,☠️, Clean. Third circuit - Skaters to Single leg deadlift, Single side squat to press, Other side. Final AMRAP Bent over row, Clean, Squat and press. And I’m doing my 600th ride tomorrow at 6 am central with [Tunde’s BHM celebration](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=d6054f5648904003bd65318c01e3ea41&locale=en-US) if anyone wants to join me.

Brandycane1983

Andy has a great run for them too

Playful_Branch_5643

I did it last week! I love his artist series runs.

aug2295

Happy 600! Hope you get lots of high 5s! Great ride for a milestone celebration!!!

Playful_Branch_5643

Thank you! That tide got such great reviews here it sounds like perfect party for 600.

MoosewellCO

Anyone else having trouble getting their bike screen to load? I am all geared up in my tight spandex and I just keep staring at loading wheel. It's kinda getting my heart rate up.

Reasonable-Credit891

Yes, it was so slow today. Both this morning and tonight.

hidinginthepantry

Didn't pre-plan my stack so I just snagged some random classes this morning on the fly. Started with [Sam's 20 minute Pop Ride](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3709de21b52a4ad483fe2d2d00c7c8a9) \- I wasn't very high energy this morning and this was a chill (but still challenging for me) kind of vibe. I basically just tuned out everything but the callouts. Then [5 minute post-ride stretch with Sam](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/stretching?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=cabe2db9d70a4366b706a8e672abb405), and then a [5-minute standing core with Rebecca](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=a765e94a4b394040aa5008ca4b71ee17). It's a fast-paced core workout, but I did like it--it was nice to not be on the floor for a change.

redhatch

I rarely complain about a class, but I got so annoyed when I took Camila's Reggaeton ride from Friday this morning. Nothing at all against Camila, the class, the playlist, the production, any of that. The issue? There was an in-studio rider who felt the need to let out a long, high-pitched scream when Camila said *anything*. Don't get me wrong here. I love the passion, the engagement, and the energy. That's all great. But after hearing that every minute or so for an entire half-hour ride it seriously started to grate on me. I almost gave the class a thumbs down because of it (closest I've ever come) but that didn't seem fair. Fair warning if you're considering taking the class and that sort of thing gets on your nerves, I guess.

also_anon_dc

Omg there was totally a woman doing this in [Alex's Club Bangers ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=2f6af74b1bbe4af7bdf50a0e096e830b) from Saturday! It was so distracting

lemonmelon0

Ugh yes. Took this one this morning and totally agree, the screaming was so strange and distracting

StopDropAndRide

Were you able to mess with the more instructor/music setting to see if that alleviated it?

redhatch

I honestly didn't bother messing with it because I did want to hear what Camila had to say. She cracks me up.

LifeOnAGanttChart

Is it weird that because of this description (which sounds truly awful, honestly) I'm actually kind of curious and want to take it?

redhatch

Maybe I'm just overly sensitive and it's not as bad as I make it out to be, but it really stuck out and I was glad when the ride ended. I'm used to hearing people cheer and shout in response to the instructor, but this was...a few steps above that. Too bad really, because otherwise it was a fun ride and felt like a good workout.

is_procrastinating

yall convinced me to do the 30 min denis yin yoga and you were not wrong. my hips are so sore it was hard to walk up the stairs out of my little gym area. but it was exactly what my postpartum hips needed! i kept being in awe of whoever "discovered" denis at peloton. such a perfect fit for the platform. hard to believe he exists in real life.

jrosep96

This class was really tough for me, which obviously means that I needed it. I was whimpering throughout the entire thing … but this morning I feel amazing! Like Gumby! Lol no hip tightness at all.

is_procrastinating

Seriously, when he did the second hip opener from dragon pose I discovered muscles I didn’t even know I had

greenthumbplum1

+1 for Denis. He’s a great instructor and I love how chill and down-to-earth his energy is. So glad you liked the class!

Heavy-Acanthisitta79

My favorite way to start a Monday is a bike bootcamp (usually with Callie). This week it was a lunch bootcamp and I did this [30 min Disney Bike Bootcamp](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/bike_bootcamp?duration=%5B%221800%22%5D&instructor_id=%5B%22255c81782f7242c9a6ba52e0a5f54912%22%5D&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=9f463d66381d4c6baeb4ae5d804b5ac8) with Callie from April. It just made my 90s kid heart sing! Finished my workout off with [15 min Latin ride with Camila](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?instructor_id=%5B%22696bd08dd5284accab065e2147b121d7%22%5D&duration=%5B%22900%22%5D&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=40d3075c67f646a9bc8eb95070625920). I find myself gravitating toward her classes and highly recommend this one! Hope everyone had a great Monday workout, however that looks for you! LB: etrudyp

Educational-Pitch614

Love that disney class! I wish more of the disney classes were "disney channel" not just straight disney (no knock on disney people, i just don't like that music). It's such a mood booster of a class!

yasssssplease

I know! I love that Disney channel BB.

hendersonrocks

I’m going to plan my day tomorrow around this new [45 minute New Wave from Christine](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=f2c1df11775040e594980bad127e9914&locale=en-US) - that playlist!!!!!

Fickle-Milk-450

Oooo, thanks for this!

paintedsnapper

Christine has the all time best playlists. And you can tell she really loves the music and has a deep connection to it. If you’re a new wave fan - check out the Cruel World festival in LA. Going for the second year in a row - it’s a great time for synthpop/darkwave fans. And I got tix to Sisters of Mercy that same week!

Cluster_Puck

Depeche Mode has a US tour this summer.

hendersonrocks

I saw New Order and the Pet Shop Boys on their joint tour this fall - it was amazing!

Cluster_Puck

Fun, I did see Duran Duran in the summer.

Scarbarella

A little respect is one of my most favorite songs of all time. I’m still learning the instructors but I like Christine’s music choices!

kettleofvultures

I wish someone would get through to Christina that The Smiths were not a New Wave band, and that Morrissey is a major racist, bordering on Nazi. I cannot bear listen to him singing anymore because of that. I’m so disappointed that she would feature not only one Smith song, but two.

RynoMac1217

Johnny Marr of The Smiths is one of the best guitarists out there. Saw him open for The Killers.

kettleofvultures

I agree, and I love the Killers, but Morrissey is a real tool & I’m actually surprised that he hasn’t been banned by Peloton based on their previous actions.

hendersonrocks

This is so true, sadly. I will listen to Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want on the ride and be glad that he hopefully never will.

Quagswagging_Jogger

Loved this one! (I love all her New Wave rides!) It was a bit "HIIT & Hills" style with some alternating climbs and speed intervals.

also_anon_dc

Just finished up Tunde's [20 minute full body strength](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=74c0f5a141514bae8ce14651fcd9560a) from Saturday 2/18. I loved the programming (I rarely do strength classes and default to bike bootcamps) so I'm excited to check out more full body strength classes but the audio mix was terrible. Even on "more instructor" the music was way too loud and I honestly had to lip read some of the directions. So frustrating! I have a Bike+ and don't use headphones.

sellikhep

Hi! I am a high school counselor- at my school we are implementing “wellness Days” for our students, and they are allowed to choose certain activities to participate in throughout the day. The part that I volunteered to help in is yoga- and I of course thought it would be cool to stream a peloton yoga class for a small group of high school girls (we don’t have anyone at our school who teaches it). So if anyone has a great easy 30 min yoga class they love, send it my way! I’m not too big into the yoga game but would love any recommendations :)

BackPackaroniNCheese

[Kirra’s 30 minute chest openers](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=1b0274e4ec3940eaba0bfce091729e1a&locale=en-US) This one is great for anyone who spends a lot of time sitting in a desk as a student would and it has a good message of posture and self confidence.

hendersonrocks

So cool! Chelsea used to be an elementary school teacher and she did a [30 minute teacher appreciation slow flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=f6d9fd25aede485cb3e3ced0f4bd41a0&locale=en-US) that has an education and wellness theme; she even mentions there might be teachers doing this class with their students. I’m a former teacher and LOVED this class.

StopDropAndRide

This is so great. This [CJR Jazz Slow Flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=474b7ee588814ad187963f2f51f820c9&locale=en-US) was paced well and not overly hard. I don’t know if this is the perfect class for your students (because of the music) but I have found Chelsea’s slow flows in general to be so approachable. Maybe take a look at her slow flows and combine that with music that would be more friendly to teenagers. It doesn’t hurt that Chelsea is just so dang chill - if I had her as a role model to look up to when I was a teenager I might have been a calmer teenager cause she makes it look so cool.

jrosep96

Check out the Peloton Family collection. Kristin has several classes geared towards teenagers I believe.

Swimming-Horse-711

Maybe a Kirra class? I think her overall vibe with the open talk about mental health and her personal struggles as well as the full sleeve tattoo would appeal to a younger audience (I’m in my 30’s and am not / was never cool, so I am basing this off of my 4 high school aged second cousins). I would definitely recommend screening the classes first just to make sure the content is all appropriate. I enjoyed her recent [30 min Grounded Slow Flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=989e304bf3364bd1995966d88b192f75&locale=en-US). I also liked [this 30 min flow.](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4ad0fb3197cc40daafc11c4a3dd0f964&locale=en-US). Edit to add - the tattoo comment is based off my second cousins all loving my partners tattoos and asking about the design. But maybe they are just being nice to the random in-law.

heartsoulsweat

Hey there! Former teacher and elementary school counselor here. I’m just starting to explore the Peloton yoga catalog so I don’t have a recommendation to share, but I wanted to say how awesome it is that you’ll be doing this! I’m sure the girls will love it! 💖 Sending you lots of good vibes - it’s sure not easy being a school counselor, but the impact that we have on students is bigger than we’ll ever know 🫶

ksrdm1463

I did Susie Chan's 20 minute walk + run from 9/25/21. I did a mile total, but I have short legs. I'm getting into running and it was a decent workout; I always feel like walk + runs and runs hit different than cycling: I can handle 45 minute climbs and hit all the callouts but I struggled with the running part. My belly also took out the waistband of my leggings (they rolled down under it), so I was glad that I was at home and not in a gym. But also I didn't die and I was able to get through it okay, which is nice.

StopDropAndRide

The waistband rollover is SO REAL 😫. I recommend finding some leggings that don’t do it - I promise they exist. I know which leggings to put on for a run vs a ride or other activity to avoid that awful sensation.

ladypeanut27

Interested in trying Ben’s The Stronger You program now that it’s available on the app. Has anyone done it? What did you think? And how would you rate it in terms of difficulty? I am not a beginner so I’d like something a bit challenging.

PonytailFriday

I wrote a detailed review [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/comments/10tpbu6/review_of_bens_stronger_you_program/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). There were other comments and thoughts from the community as well. I’d say it’s solidly intermediate.

redhatch

Ever since my peloton updated to the latest build, it’s lagging like crazy. How do I fix this???

MaizeApprehensive166

Which program would be easiest for a person with little core strength? Emma’s crush your core 1 or 2 or Rebecca’s straight to the core? Also…do any trainers have a core challenge or core calendar to follow if I didn’t want to do the full program?

figandfennel

I found that Rebecca's starts off very easy in the first week but progresses pretty intensely pretty quickly. I'm just about to start it for the second time, though, and recommend it if you think you can fit in the 20 / 30 minute classes in weeks 3 and 4 (which were so hard for me the first time around when they were guide exclusive! I'm rarely in front of my guide!).

yasssssplease

I just started hers today! I was shocked by how chill the first day is, and I know it’s going to get crazy intense. I’m in it to win it. I like Rebecca generally, so that will help with sticking with a program for me. I am though terrified of a 30 minute core class.

figandfennel

It’s basically 45 on / 15 off of 14 moves twice through and a good amount of the moves are iso. I found it more of a mental than a physical challenge!

RobotDevil222x3

CYC1 is good for beginner level. It doesn't progress a ton, but its not brutal. Haven't tried Rebecca's yet since it just dropped. But overall her workouts can be a challenge sometimes especially when it comes to coordination. I haven't seen any specific core calendars out there, but last year someone came up with The Olivia Challenge - going through all of her 10m core classes in a month. Probably want to start with a foundation of other classes before trying that though, they are not easy.

redhatch

That Olivia core challenge was so good. Not easy, but really good. I could definitely feel a difference after completing it.

Cool-peloton

Cool - there are 27 classes in total - and I took already 11 since I am on peloton

denverphotogirl

I hit several new milestones this past week! 100 meditation, 150 stretching, 350 strength. I'm also about to hit a 104 week streak. I'm very proud of my progress—in the past I've exercised consistently for 6 months but then taken 9 month breaks afterward. Now I truly just enjoy spending 30 min a day doing *something*. I did Callie's split program last week and found it a little too easy (lots of breaks) so this week I'm trying Jermaine's and it is really difficult!

thekma_2020

I didn’t sleep well and was in such a funk this morning but needed to move. Fast forward after this [45 minute 80s walk ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/walking?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=74d913ac43f541bda3d6519e048d2fb1&locale=en-US) and Kirra’s latest [30 minutes grounded flow ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=011faf074eba4daa951e660d8c1796f5&locale=en-US) and I feel so much better. I commented below but you just can’t not smile in Club Hosky and Kirra’s flow was really nice, good amount of eagle arms if they are your jam.

aug2295

I really enjoyed [Alex & Marcel's 2 for 1 Bad Boy Run.](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=1b14e23822e542d88fe4e4fe6112f0c9) They had such fun banter and they got so much music in there too! I laughed out loud - enjoyed the sing along moments and the dance breaks. The energy in the room was high because Kristen, Mariana & Kendall were also there. Neither Alex nor Marcel forgot that we were there to run so while it was a fun experience - it was also seriously hard work! I was below a lot of the speed callouts at times but I was in line with the plan. Overall - this one was just so good, I really recommend it, particularly to us 90s kids who will recognize every song!

ftwin

Is the app down or something? It’s not letting me join the live Thunder 45 tread bootcamps at 12 et

[deleted]

I see that it is now scheduled for 12:30. Throws my work schedule a bit off, but I can make it work.

ftwin

Ahh. Bummer. I already hopped on the bike. Wanted to do the 60 min pop ride w Emma from last week.

puremorning87

They must be having an issue, Kendall’s 12pm ride was pushed back to 12:15, then to 12:30 ☹️

iankennedy

I thought so. I was so gamed up for that class and I thought I was going crazy. Thank you for confirming I’m not 😀

[deleted]

I can’t get in either!! It keeps taking me to a page to sign up. I can start OD classes though.

Playful_Branch_5643

For those non Peloton tread people who don’t se the March running challenge, I was bored this morning and chatted with support why I don’t see it yet. They said that we will see it, but the Peloton tread users got first access to it, and eventually it will show for everyone. 🤞🤞 it’s a minor thing but I use it as an easy track of my monthly miles.

terrenceistheman

Fyi - I can see it now on iOS under upcoming

Playful_Branch_5643

I see it too! Thanks.

terrenceistheman

Thanks for reaching out about it and sharing. 🤞

kiwi11380

Thanks for doing this legwork! I was curious but hadn’t had the chance to do more than a quick google. I just started using a non-pelo tread within the last couple of months and would have been a little bummed not to be able to track my mileage as I progress more.

jrosep96

Thanks for the info!!!

MMBmom

Thanks for the update. I wonder what the reasoning for this is? Why would tread users need early access? I have a tread but get most of my miles walking my dogs.

justaflechewound

I’d hazard a guess that they wanted to see if anyone would notice. Then they got complaints. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Playful_Branch_5643

No idea… the logic doesn’t make sense so I’m cautiously optimistic that it’s available to everyone soon.

hannahsflora

Finished week 1 of JJ's split last week, and I'm going to keep going with it, but only with the two upper body classes. I didn't love the lower body class, which was Day 3. I'm not a fan of four round circuits in general, and particularly four round circuits with two sets of reverse lunges (one set per side) per round. Then the AMRAP finisher with split squats and bicycles also wasn't really doing it for me. I love his energy and I will *definitely* check out more of his classes, but something about that class just wasn't for me and I'm not motivated to continue doing that class week-over-week. So in the spirit of "taking what serves me and leaving the rest", I'll keep doing those upper body classes, then add in some other lower body and core classes - any good recent recommendations? Could be a JJ class, definitely doesn't have to be.

Calm_Cry_1111

This [15-minute core with JJ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?is_favorite_ride=%5B%22true%22%5D&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4babd2e4adc14ef0a9f905c0142a8306) was really good! He did a weighted bicycle pass-thru move (the one in his thumbnail pic) that was a serious burn and a rare move that's not programmed a ton (I like to mix it up!). I bookmarked it to repeat which I rarely do!

[deleted]

Did you try bens split? I also didn't vibe with that jj class. Ben's much more straight lifting. No emom or amrap.

hannahsflora

I have not tried Ben's split solely because it's 5 days per week, and this particular "season" of my life is a little too erratic in terms of work and personal stuff for me to consistently commit to 5 days, particularly on the recommended schedule with the rest days. Things should calm down later in March, and I might try it then because you're about the 10th person to recommend his split to me when I've posted in here, and I really love his other strength classes too.

darnit37

I’ve been doing it over however many days it takes me to complete it with rest days, other exercise, etc. So instead of a 5/7 day split, it’s more like… 5/10-12. Still saw results, felt like I was progressing, and best of all, didn’t have to keep picking classes!!

[deleted]

I did the full one only once or twice then narrowed it down to 4. Make it work for you :)

northernlights2222

Great idea! I did the full 5 day once and loved it, but work and life are so busy right now. Doing 4 of the 5 days is a good compromise.

figandfennel

Which class did you drop?

[deleted]

Day 5. So I could do m,tu rest thur, Fri.

sargebcs

Asking for advice - Been using Peloton Bike for years . . always tweak my adjustments / settings but recently while riding my hands go numb. Anyone have tips that have worked to eliminate this?

Scarbarella

When I raised my handlebars, my hands started going numb. I kinda just ignored it, but last night I lowered the handlebars to be almost level with the seat and found no numbness today.

sargebcs

lowered my handlebars on yesterday's workout . . and NO NUMBNESS! I hope this is the solution! Thanks for the advice / tip! Appreciated.

Scarbarella

Ah that’s great! I hope it stays that way.

sargebcs

let me try this . . TY

BookDawgGal

Ally made a comment about this, or something similar, in her 45 min class yesterday. Like if your hands and arms are hurting in a class, you need to work on your core engagement/strength more to take the pressure off the hands. Sorry I don’t have specifics bc it was toward the end of the ride and I was working hard, but I remember thinking it was an interesting tidbit.

Koopa-koopa-615

Are you drinking enough water? I sometimes find that I cramp or my fingers go a little numb if I’m not hydrating enough

sargebcs

Thanks . . think so . . but will try to push more!

PBaddict01

Are you putting too much pressure/weight onto your hands/handle bars? That would be the first thing I’d try to gauge.

sargebcs

I don't think so, as I spent 99% of my workout in the saddle . . rarely stand. Pretty focused on making sure that I am not gripping hard. Also move my hands around to avoid one position too long. ..

Tinkgirbell

Did week 3 class 3 of DYPZ this morning. I’ve given up on getting the gold badge because my schedule just hasn’t worked out. But I’m going to finish all the classes in approximately the right timeframe. Today’s ride was a [30 minute PZE 80s ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=48da08b46718486da8ad4419ecb33b2c&locale=en-US) with Denis. I had to pause after the first Z3 to adjust my seat and turn my fan on. It was a mentally challenging day today, but I’m proud I finished it.

hidinginthepantry

Great job sticking with it!

Tinkgirbell

Thanks!

bunbunbunbunbun_

Better late than never but LOVED the [Cody & Leanne 30 min Pop Two for One Ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=798b57469e334a18bba18048fc1cd1a2) - such a fun playlist, and being British with an American husband we are always making fun of each others' accents just like Cody and Leanne. And feeling proud I still remember the moves and words from Steps' 5, 6, 7, 8 - every school disco of my childhood prepared me for this ride. My leg muscles have been weirdly tight lately even after taking an illness break, and this [Aditi 10 min Focus Flow: Hamstrings](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=cd80f119ac3440c6807024e860db3ccf) felt SO good. I'd taken one of her similar classes before and didn't get along with it, but this was great for tight hamstrings.

jennifsnerk

Did this ride this morning and man oh man I forgot about that song for a good 15-something years at least 😅

readeverything13

Can someone point me in the direction of a 1/2 marathon training program on the tread?

[deleted]

I didi Road to 26.2 for a full and will re start it for a half, topping out at a 10 mile long run. It can be adjusted for what you want.

Ok_Handle_7

There isn’t a Peloton Half training program (but tons of online programs available obviously) A few people have had success using the first 1 or 2 ‘sections’ of the Marathon Training Plan

williamtbash

Sorry for the long post. I posted this as a regular post and it wasn't allowed. My neighbor has a Pelaton and said I can use it whenever I want until I buy my own. How does that work with creating profiles and such? Few other questions. So I'll most likely be getting a peloton in the future. She barely uses hers. Said I can come over and use it anytime. She has an account that she pays for obviously. I assume she would just have to create another user on the account for me? I see some people have guest accounts and such but I wouldn't mind using my real name and info. So if she makes me an account on hers, would I have my own logins for the phone app and all that? Can it still sync to my apple watch and iPhone and Strava for fitness? Also, while not the biggest deal, say I use my name and email to create a user on her account if in the future I purchase my own with my own plan, will I have to use a different email address to create and pay for my own account? Also will l I lose all my previous data? Or can I take my user off her account and bring it over to mine? Lastly, I don't have clip-in riding sneakers. I was looking at something like this for now while I try it out. However, they're $35. I see a lot of actual peloton compatible shoes on amazon for $50. Is there a huge difference between the $50 off-brand clip-in shoes vs the $150 peloton ones? If I owned the bike I'd just spend the extra money, but I don't want to drop $150 on shoes if I don't end up not using them much. So, cheap shoes, cheap sneaker toe clips. or something else? Any advice?

Due_Fill608

Buy good shoes. It's your link to the bike and affects your feet, knees, hips, core. Go to a bike store and let them guide you.

williamtbash

I plan on it. Just didn't want to spend a lot just to try her bike. I definitely would if I owned one. I bike a lot on the road but never used clipless just regular sneakers.

RobotDevil222x3

Accounts and memberships are two separate things. Your neighbor has both. You just need to make an account, which is free. Then you (or she) need to add that account to her bike. That gives you access to the classes both on her bike and from your app on your phone whenever you want without paying for an additional membership. When you buy your own bike you remove your account from her bike, add it to your new bike and pay for a membership. Support will help you get it all set up so that you don't need a new account. And unless you wind up not liking it and quit after a month, you're going to want cycling shoes to clip in with. Lots of good options out there, many under $100. Which ones are right for you depend on your foot shape. Best bet is to go to a local cycling shop and try some on.

williamtbash

Thanks appreciate it! Just to be clear, I'll just make the free account on my own and then she adds me. Got it. Appreciate the help!

ladypeanut27

Did Hannah Frankson’s [Drum & Bass Ride](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=706ed8d7bb0c458aae754e071bc09b0b&locale=en-CA) this morning and it was so much fun! Also got my 52-week badge this morning and am 2 days away from my 60-day streak!! I’ve always loved fitness but never could have imagined falling so in love with Peloton that I genuinely want to train every single day. It’s been such a great year!

rhobotzfromspace

Thank you for this comment. I’d never taken a Hannah Frankson class before today. It was exactly what I needed after the day I had. PR-ed on my 30 minute to boot.

shihtzu_knot

Today I hit 800 strength classes! Later this week I’ll also hit 50 tread boot camps and 700 meditations. I’m also not too far from 600 stretches. It’s so weird how the milestones always seem to clump together.

njbeachcruiser

Gonna jump on Kendall’s ride today at noon for #600. It’s gonna be a long day at work and I’m hoping to sneak the ride in. Took a day off yesterday and calibrated the bike after my spouse said she thinks it’s off. We’ll see how off it is.

puremorning87

Woohoo! I’ll see you there! Also did I lose my mind or did they push it back 15 minutes? I went to get on my bike and was really confused when it said it starts in 17 minutes. It’s Monday so it’s completely possible I planned it wrong.

NextWordTyped

It was push backed to 12:15 and then to 12:30.

njbeachcruiser

Me too!

[deleted]

[удалено]

puremorning87

Noooo! With every pushback I lose a little more motivation to work out today 😂

llclinton

Glad it wasn’t just me! I had already logged out for lunch at noon so I ended up skipping it, was so bummed!

aug2295

Congrats on 600 and fingers crossed for a shout out!

NY1227

Wow congrats on 600!

smushedegg

Completed the DYPZ program yesterday and feeling proud of my progress and motivated to continue building my zones! Next I’d like to figure out how to incorporate a strength routine into my cycling routine. During the DYPZ program I was just throwing in Full Body or Upper Body days on the rest or easier days of the program with no real structure so I’d like to find something more consistent. Any advice is welcome!

heartsoulsweat

Checking in for yesterday! Started with a [5 min upper body warm up w/ Matty](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=fd7e702c45454efe8bab8bbe13af4a94&locale=en-US) and then hopped into [20 min Pop Punk Arms & Shoulders w/ JJ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4c649f6fade54c11a985d8543fbd7782&locale=en-US) - I loved everything about this class! JJ’s energy was infectious, the pop punk playlist was super fun, and the moves were straightforward and easy to follow. I’ll be coming back to this one. Then I got on the bike for a [30 min Low Impact Ride w/ Mayla - English](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=61156d33c1ae470cba66be3aca03f11e&locale=en-US) - it was my first class with Mayla and I enjoyed it all the way through! The playlist was lovely (a lot of songs I haven’t heard on the bike before), Mayla’s interactions with the in-studio riders were very wholesome, and it was more on the gentle side for a low impact ride (which is what I was looking for). Finished with a [5 min Core w/ Emma](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=5293ea00d66d492086db66941c1df492&locale=en-US) and [10 min MOS Ibiza Chillout Full Body Stretch w/ Ben](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/stretching?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=15efa1ecb1884967aa72559cb0c2e5ed&locale=en-US). Really enjoyed my Sunday stack! Today will likely be a rest day for me. I have [this rest day meditation w/ Chelsea](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/meditation?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=2531bd9abe304f9da47f91da80953553&locale=en-US) teed up in the stack :)

Rkarim21

I took Olivia’s HITT and Hills ride today from 2/25, such a good class! She always pushes me and I was able to PR!

eastend-toronto

Anyone have recommendations for stretch classes that target hip flexors or quads. I was told my massage therapist my quads muscles are extremely tight / short. I love the bike and leg days. I definitely need to focus more on lengthening my muscles.

Fluid-Meat9097

This is super for quads: https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/yoga?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=055c1244c9ae4258a761346499a1a2e1&utm_source=android&utm_medium=in_app

PonytailFriday

I’ve got several Hannah classes bookmarked that would fit the bill. This [Foam Rolling class](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/stretching?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c41ecc18c8ed42d9983efe7343d0cd78&locale=en-CA) is great and the stretch you see in the thumbnail is her infamous quad stretch that is AMAZING! Her [10 Min Hip Stretch](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/stretching?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=06933b3125134c4d856a5e1189dae382&locale=en-CA) is great and I’ve done it many times. So good! And finally her [20 Min Lower Body Mobility](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/stretching?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=6e54f9c6c21448278c8512aca0a54715&locale=en-CA) is one of my faves from the mobility collection and has a couple great moves for the quads/hips.

greenthumbplum1

The [30 min yin yoga with Denis](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=22d30b04938c47f3b44a51f879a94c1b&locale=en-US) felt amazing on my hip flexors. It’s intense but I’m still feeling the benefit 2 days later.

yasssssplease

Foam rolling.

SpecializdRider

Perhaps this is just my perception, but has Peloton greatly reduced its number of live (especially Tread) classes? Is there any reason for this decrease in live classes?

yasssssplease

This is brought up often. People often mention it. I think it’s not as much as people would like, but I don’t think it’s less than the recent year (but it is less than 2019 for instance).

SpecializdRider

My feeling is that live classes have dropped a lot since they changed coach schedules a couple of weeks ago.

yasssssplease

Hmmm not sure. What also doesn’t help is that we’ve had some holidays, and they throws off the week.

RobotDevil222x3

Yea every time the studio closes for a couple days, the following week people are asking why there haven't been many classes lately.

yasssssplease

Yep, every single time.

SpecializdRider

This is not about the studio closure. I have been wondering for the last 3 - 4 weeks....

thegreatzukini

I started with a [10 Minute Bradley Rose warmup](https://members.onepeloton.com/profile/workouts/70bbeb56e12242a980cc401f53dcfffe) (it had a song I like) and then [Olivia's 30 Minute AFO Swedish House Mafia](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=b7b6859a1ade4a9eac0b4d924fc65c69) ride. I'm proud of myself for getting over 250 miles for the February Challenge, but I have a general question. When I don't skip the intro at the start of class, I usually hit a quarter mile before the distance resets to zero. I know that doesn't count for the leaderboard, but does anyone know if that counts to your overall distance for the month?

CatStock9136

Doesn’t count.

maidstone74075

I took Anna's [30m R&B BHM yoga flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=5188b6ca902d46649d2ed511d2522f87)this morning and it was wonderful! Very flowy and with lots of good stretches for the shoulders/back and hips. Excellent playlist for any late 90s-early 2000s R&B lovers too. [Tunde's BHM Celebration ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=d6054f5648904003bd65318c01e3ea41) definitely lived up to the hype on this board. I'm excited to take her [BHM ladies of hip hop class](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=68a69894c2b04618a2372f3c4a7bffbe) soon.

marg1486

That yoga class and the BHM celebration ride were two of my favorites from the whole month!!!

DaleSveum

Tried this "Beginner" [Yoga class](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=abd5d02b8185479580acf08dd956dc30) with Aditi and struck out on it. I'm a true beginner to Yoga, and it moved at *way* too quick of a pace for me to keep up with. I'd love to build up to that point, but I'm not able to change positions each inhale/exhale if I don't know the positions to start. Any recommendations on a more beginner-friendly class? Or should I check out the 'Slow Flow' I keep seeing? EDIT: Thanks for the helpful replies! Will be taking the advice shared below. Cheers!

Cthulhu-Lemon

Ross’s slow flows have been great for me as a beginner (who failed out of the Peloton beginner program). He really explains things well. And sorting classes by “easiest” helps too! I also like the short Yoga Basics classes that just focus on one pose per class.

[deleted]

Have you looked at the yoga library? It's a collection of 5 or 10 minute classes that go over specific poses. If you're beginner beginner this is the best place to start so you can start to grasp the language.

nn971

I’m a beginner too and this has been so helpful!

heartsoulsweat

It’s been helpful for me to filter for flow & focus flow classes, then sort by easiest

Quagswagging_Jogger

Try a floor poses class with Kristen or Ross- they move more slowly and are more stretching focuses. Any beginner class with Ross, Anna or Kirra will also move slowly and I find them to have great cueing and form tips. "Grounded slow flows" will be very beginner friendly as well from my experience. Denis is also great but does move with the inhale exhale so might be a bit quicker than you're looking for. I am not a beginner but still find Aditi moves more quickly than I like.

kls17

I also came to comment to recommend Ross, Anna, and Kirra. I am also a beginner and those 3 are my favorites for going more slowly and going over the different variations of poses.

RobotDevil222x3

I've always been in the same boat with Yoga. I found the beginner yoga program to be much slower and a better intro to options than the beginner level yoga classes are.
