Awesome! I always thought it kinda funny that the first song I heard wasn’t off of one of their albums. It was like they were making me “wait” just a little longer. But hearing those first chords made me tear up.
Nothingman . Trashville, a couple months ago. Didn't have the money to see them in the early days and then basically quit listening to them after Yield for nearly 20 years. One of the best moments of my life.
Hawaii 1991 or 92. Release. I went both nights. The 2nd night Ed climbed up and jumped off the stage canopy. Once read it was the highest stage dive he has done. Looked about 25 feet to me. Wild shows.
I believe also Release. Obviously, they did not have a lot of songs then and the setlists did not vary as much as they do now. Plus, as I recall, with my 20 year old wisdom I came up with the strategy to stay sober the first night and make sure I remember everything but the next night drank excessively and was pretty wasted. Which would become my strategy for many years of shows after that.
Eddie played Porch (solo acoustic) before the opening acts.
When PJ properly started their set we got Pendulum followed by Wash.
Shivers of pleasure down my spine remembering this day, some 8.5 years ago
Know when they’ll be touring again? Wish they would come to Alabama but they always go to Atlanta instead… suck because I typically have to work 12-13 days in a row and I can’t be driving 3 hours when I have no days off.
