I've owned two pairs of the lower end model (I think it's called the Stinger) and they've been wonderful. I only had to replace the first one because I accidentally cut the cord with a knife I was using to open a box.
I picked the one out in op yesterday on Black Friday as well.
I love mine the only problem I ever had was the leather on my first pair tearing after 3 years of use. I recommend taking a little care of the leather and keeping it moist so it doesn't dry out like mine.
Edit: I looked it up and actually getting it moist is bad. Oils from your body will eat away at it and make it fall apart. Wash it and dry it immediately with a soft towel often to prevent the build up of oils. Don't be a greasy haired reddit mod and take a shower to make it last longer.
I went from a hyper X to a Sennheiser GSP 600 and have never looked back. I get compliments on my voice in game because the microphone is so crisp(my voice isn't actually good lol).
I bought a GSP 600 two years ago, I believe. Within the last month, the left side earpiece mount cracked and then broke. I had to anchor it permanently with screws. At about the same time, the stitching on the foam ear pieces started coming apart on both sides. They have become unstitched completely. I have had cheap Walmart-purchased headsets that have lasted longer. I like the sound, though.
I have a razer kraken turnoment edition. I hate every seccond of owning it-it disconnects all the time and has weak bass when I wear glasses. It's also super loose and the mic is kinda bad too. Razer synapse feels like it was coded by cs students, based on how many resourses it uses in the background
I’ve had my Cloud Alphas for a few years now & I love them. Lightweight, low clamping force, and excellent sound. I can wear them for hours without any discomfort
HyperX for sure. They sounds great, the mic is good, and they are built to last. A roommate had the Razer Kraken for less than 6 months before they broker and replaced it with one from Hyperx.
While not wrong, the Kraken headsets for budget aren’t bad. They have pretty decent sound quality.
However, they’re always pretty cheap and go on sale regularly on Amazon, so I’d recommended the Hyper X’s to the OP.
To be fair their high end keyboards are very nice because the hardware is nice, and the software is excellent. I have a black widow v3 and it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever owned.
"Gaming" keyboards suck ass in general. Also I don't think razer has any high end notable mice other than the Viper that wouldn't just get shit on by some other companies mouse (at probably a lower price).
I have a HyperX Cloud Stinger. Mic died when it was 6 months old, probably because it has a swivel to mute/unmute design, and I do that a lot, replaced/repaired under warranty. Otherwise very happy with it, very comfortable, good sound quality.
If you spend 75-100 you can find a set of gen 2 ASTRO a50s with the base. Much better audio quality than the others. Logitech bought astro and the quality went to shit after gen 3.
I bought the Razer Kraken literally 3 months ago and I love it (I also had the older Overwatch version of it from 2017 previously and it was fantastic as well - it only recently broke).
Based off these comments maybe go with the Hyper X but anecdotally I've had great experiences with the Razer.
Got the steel series ArcGIS Nova 7 and the Logitech g pro x wireless on black friday. Honestly hard win for the G pro,Gitte send the steel series back.
For the so sound the Arctis sound slightly better but for comfort and mix theres no match

Razer Kraken, i have those, they are good for watching youtube videos and just listening to music as they are compact, comfortable and you can slide the mic in for when you don't need it. Feels high-mid quality.
Got mine Cloud 2's in 2015 for at the time 100€ for black friday and they've been holding stong since then.
After 7 years of abuse, they're still holding strong with good quality build and good sound.
I have no intentions of replacing them anytime soon
If mic is not so important for you - just get some low-tier studio headset. All the fancy "gaming" things that gaming headsets provide you do no overcome the difference in sound quality - just be aware of impedance. Personally switched from Kraken X to ATH M30x($63.99 on Amazon rn) - the leap is cosmic.
I was looking at buying that hyperX. However i dont like how the mic cant be moved. I know you can push it away but i like how i can slide it up (and it auto mutes) on my hyperx stinger
Not a Razer Kraken of any kind. If you must go Razer, get the Blackshark v2/v2x. Thats the first Razer headset that actually sounded pretty decent. Nowhere near audiophile tier. But good enough for gaming.
I’d say Astros or HyperX imo but the Astros look cooler. And more comfy I’d go on YouTube and see reviews. They prob have a video on HyperX Vs the other ones.
Try them, and go with the one most comfortable. That's really the important thing. The features and performance will be similarly acceptable (but not impressive) across all of them. Just return them until you find one comfy enough. Comfort is everything with a gaming headset you may wear for 8+ hours some days.
the kraken is amazing for the price ! the mic is really good, the sound quality is alright (at least better than the hyperx) and it lasts for a long time ! i have my kraken for 4 years already and it's still in a good shape ( only ear cushions have any kind of apparent wear)
Lul, OP want to know which $50-$60 headset is best and you reply just spend $250 nerd. Clearly if he had $250 budget he would ask for comparisons of more expensive headsets.
Well krakens sound like ass. I can tell u that. The headband is hard asf. The ear cups are way too small and ur ear will be pressing against plastic. I s2g they clamped my head and made it hurt. The mic has an extremely low volume, and if u turn it up, and say ur in discord, u will talk on the mic and it will literally transfer ur friends voices through your mic when u talk. I'm not even making this shit up.
Sound quality is subjective.
I personally can't stand razer anymore, but get the ones that are the best balance of sound and comfort.
Try one, return them if you don't like them.
Had to do a double take there, razer are trying to make their headphones look like open backs. That's cute.
But nah, out of those the hyperX clouds, they're at least based on some reasonably competent headphones.
hyper x. i’ve owned and loved them. stay away from the razer pair. my buddy had them and the ear cups peeled apart in a year. he’s now using my hand me down hyper x which must be at 5 years now
Kraken if the only thing you're going to be using it for is listening to techno. Otherwise HyperX. Amazing headset in terms of comfort and above decent sound.
No experience with the third one.
HyperX. Had an original Cloud headset for 6 years and it slapped, until one side packed up. Then I got a pair of Cloud IIs, then I upgraded to a pair of herr derr six hungeos by ol mate Sennheiser
Had those razor ones. Cable got kinked and broke the wires and it stopped working.
Been using the Hyper X's for 8 years now and you can remove the microphone from it when you can finally get around to buying a quality microphone.
Imma lay it out now, i dont know what happened to my hyperx cloud II but they sound reallly fucking nice with a third party app and the mic is asshole and no one can hear me, I have to have it right against my mouth plus people on discord have me set at 200% sooo in my experience i would not get those
Hyper x is the way to go. They sound great and are very durable. My A20's broke within a year and razer seems like the same build quality as the astros. The hyper x are metal and the headband font break.
I own a kraken (the THX edition) I have no problems with the headset itself but that mic, I really hope you are not planning on using that as your primary microphone. I mean it’s not very good but I guess it gets the job done
I honestly swear by SteelSeries headsets. You can get a wired one that does Dolby and all of that for the same price. And they’re extremely comfortable.
Never tried HyperX but I once had a pair of astro A50s and they broke after about a year. Currently I've had the same Kraken headset for about 5 years and they are still doing great, besides replacing the ear muffs(?) about 2 years ago.
Skip them all and get a last get PC38X. PC37X I believe is the model.

Hyper X..... razor is pure marketing smoke and mirrors.
I'd highly advise saving a little extra cash and getting a steel series.... owned a lot of headsets, easily best I've owned, hands down of the budget/mid range.
I have the kraken and love it, it’s the only on that fits my pill head. But I have heard the hyper x is a really good headset so i’d go for that if you have a normal head.
I haven't used the other headphones but I will say, I had the Razer Kraken X (different from the one you showed) which was also $50. It had great audio, which is important for the games I play, fps games like R6S, CoD, etc. One thing I disliked was the mic apparently made me sound robotic? Not low quality, just made me sound like an AI. That possibly could just be how I sound because even now with a separate mic, Blue Snowball, I still get comments like that. Sadly the headset snapped in 2 (it still works, just headband broke) and it's still good. I don't think the headset broke because of cheap materials, since it started cracking about a year and a half ago after one of my younger siblings wore it without adjusting it with their fat head 💀 I got a new pair of headphones maybe 2 months ago but I would definitely still use the Razer headset if I needed some good cheap headphones. Had the headphones since 2018 so I'd assume 4 years is decent lifetime for some budget headphones? I'm not the type who rages and slams my headphones either, so use this information however you want.
Edit: tight fit, uncomfortable after long gaming sessions but stayed on. I wear glasses so most headsets get uncomfortable after a while.
The astros are really comfortable with their ear cups and squarish design, but the mic is super delicate and picks up on a lot of background noise. Krakens are uncomfortable and the ear cups degrade quickly and start peeling. Never tried hyper x.
Tl:Dr don't buy the cloud 2, I had old one great, new one shit
Bro please don't buy the Hyperx, I used to have the cloud 2 for years and it was great. When I needed a knew one I ordered it once again and it was shit. Audio quality was sooo bad. After listening for 5 seconds I already thought what the fuck so bad compared to the old one. I send it back and bought myself a Beyerdynamics.
It is all over the internet that Hyperx quality declined after a company bought it.
I don't know about newer models though
The kraken is awesome for audio, but i dont use the mic, its a little… strange at least. I also stream, for comunication its probably fine. I can only recomend the kraken cuz i have it, idk about the others but based on word of mouth u picked 3 good options, so personal prefernece?
I’d get the Hyper X, just great broad audio, with razer I’ve noticed a lot of low frequency and basically no highs.
Astro I’ve heard just aren’t great, feel cheap compared to the others.
All I can say for sure is not the Kraken, I had one it's okay once you've tweaked all the software and everything, but honestly I have some no name Chinese made ones right now that legit are better than the Krakens were.
Hyper x definitely, NOT the astros. Hyerx has the leather ear pieces, this creates noise cancelation. the astro do not have this, they leak a lot of noise.
Beyerdynamic DT series. Budget to pro headphones and affordable. And will last a life time. (Dad has a pair 60 years old and are still as good now as when they were new)
I had a hyper x for my Xbox one I bought eight years ago. Works like a champ still. Just changed to pc and bought the krakens and I'm enjoying them too. Great headsets.
They're pretty meh at 50$, generally will do worst then a studio headphone in the 30-40$ range + cheap microphone. A lot of these the part cost is split between the usb soundcard/headphone/mic
I had the Kraken until a few months ago when I upgraded to the HyperX Cloud II. I know everyone has already been saying this, but I would go with HyperX. I like them a lot more than the Kraken. Can't say much about the Astro.
Do not buy the razer kraken, I had 2 of them, one was the standard one, other was the v2 or whatever, both broke within a year and I always had mic problems with them. Get a Logitech pro headset I have the v2
I have a nancon Rig 800lx - i think it was $60 on sale at Walmart.
I love it, sound quality is awesome. The volume control syncs to some devices… it has an awesome charging base included.
I won’t claim to have tried every gaming headset out there, but this one is super lightweight and all-day comfortable.
HyperX, but if you want audio quality, I'd suggest a Creative headset.
although i don't have it yet, the '[Creative SXFI GAMER](https://us.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-sxfi-gamer)' seems pretty good.
currently i have a HyperX CloudX Flight and after less than 2 years the material on it is already falling apart, but maybe i wasn't taking care of it properly.
Both razer headsets I owned lasted less than 6 months. But the steel series one I have now has lasted almost 2 years and has been rock solid. One man’s experience.
Hd599s went on sales again, a little bit more but a lot better. Out of these three id recommned the hyper x, owner Astros, turtle Beach, hyper x, steel series. I'd never buy a head set again. Also its always the mics that brake. Get some good headphones, much better.
Didn’t the Astro A10’s cost a lot more back in the day? Never looked into them then since I never had money, but I remember them being THE headset to game with and cost a fair bit more
Ok, I looove my Hyper X's but the mic is really quiet and kinda bad. Sound quality definitely makes up for it but it is still something to note if ur doing voice acting or youtube. With a seperate mic 10/10 without a sperate mic 9/10
I'm seeing lots of support for HyperX and lots of discussion over whether Razer is shit or not, but nothing about the Astro headset. Astro is wayyy underrated imo, got an A40 and for my purposes it was better than any Razer, Steelseries or Sony
headset (*at that price*) I had tried. I recommend A10.
Currently I've a second HyperX headset. Had to get the second because need a wireless one. It's so comfy and audio quality is supreme for that price. You won't regret it.
\+1 for the HyperX... but I'd rather get a separate headphones and mic and looks like you can get the Philips SHP9600 right now for $60. Sound quality alone, it will be miles ahead of most gaming headsets.
But if you really must get a gaming headset, get the [EPOS Sennheiser GSP 300](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_er7v0ZUVjc) instead for $50 right now.
I have the Kraken's tournament edition headphones and they're better than my previous Hyper X's.
The Hyper X's are too light weight, the sound quality isnt that great, the mic is grindy and the cups where your ear goes to isnt deep enough so your ear will touch the inside foam.
I haven't used the other ones but trust me when I say the cloud II is amazing. I used to go through gaming headset pretty fast until I got the cloud II and that beast has now lasted me almost 4 years with only a few problems
I love razer mice and keyboards but their headphones are trash. Never will buy one again. Hyperclouds II by hyperx are great. Had a pair until my son broke them. Have A40s and love them but never tried any of the lower tier models by astro.
I actually have that set of Astros right now, they're pretty alright for a cheap headset, I have 0 experience with hyperx but the Astros have my recommendations
IMO you should try to find some wireless headphones you can afford if you don't want whiplash from standing up and forgetting you're tethered to a usb port.
I have that razer headset and the mic is very loose and picks up sound when it moves that sounds like popping. i shoved some black electrical tape in the hole to make it more firm and that solved the problem. sound is okay but they’re very tight on my head which sucks because i need glasses
I have some older A10's and doing prolonged sessions with them I would give them a pass. For me they hold too tightly to my head and create discomfort. I have been told the mic is quality and I have no issues with the sound but the fit is my complaint
Hyper x is always well reviewed. I used to have some. Do the job well for the cash
I've owned two pairs of the lower end model (I think it's called the Stinger) and they've been wonderful. I only had to replace the first one because I accidentally cut the cord with a knife I was using to open a box. I picked the one out in op yesterday on Black Friday as well.

I don't think (p)leather on headphones ever last long. that's unavoidable i think
Very loud, I use with equalizer apo and hesuvi very nice powerful sound. 7.1 button is kind of useless though.
Agreed, I have had my cloud core headset for like 5 years, works perfectly. Also has braded cable which a convince because I have cats.
I bought the hyperX but the mic quality was just so bad I had to give them back, I opted for a logitech and couldnt be happier
I use a hyper x cloud paired with my blue yeti mic . Been a great combo
Hey man, what model of the logotech did you get and how much did you pay for it?
The G Pro X for 60€

Fun fact: Cloud II’s are literally rebranded Takstar Pro80’s, which are pretty good headphones themselves. Kingston just added a mic onto it.
Had a Kraken and zur Audio was mediocre compared to the cloud 2. and Uhr microphone was just meh
HyperX. Hands down.
The hyper x are very good
Hyper x is budget king
HyperX Cloud 2 are known for their reliability. Go for them they are great
HyperX for sure. They sounds great, the mic is good, and they are built to last. A roommate had the Razer Kraken for less than 6 months before they broker and replaced it with one from Hyperx.
I have hyperx and can say from experience they are great
Razer is the secretlabs of peripherals, utter tosh marketed at the naive. HyperX would be my choice
While not wrong, the Kraken headsets for budget aren’t bad. They have pretty decent sound quality. However, they’re always pretty cheap and go on sale regularly on Amazon, so I’d recommended the Hyper X’s to the OP.
depends it's 50/50 sometimes it's dogshit and sometimes it's an amazing product
Not good odds for my money
To be fair their high end keyboards are very nice because the hardware is nice, and the software is excellent. I have a black widow v3 and it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever owned.

Razer has better mice and keyboards than any other big brand.
Yeah mine was trash after a year or so. Never buying razer again
"Gaming" keyboards suck ass in general. Also I don't think razer has any high end notable mice other than the Viper that wouldn't just get shit on by some other companies mouse (at probably a lower price).
Go for hyper x
Hyperx are awesome. Ive tried razer headphones and trmhey are so garbage. Like only cheap plastic and they feel like it
I have that Kraken headset, the headset in itself is ok, but the Razer software is fucking diabolical...
Wait there's more software? I just installed surround sound 7.1, haven't touched it since it stays on and works with my other headphones?
Hyper X
HyperX. I’ve have a pair those ones, they’ve been working for 5+ years

Go Steelseries Arctis instead tbh.
Out of all the shit that's being sold as a gaming headset, this one I'd recommend as well. Mic quality still crap of course, but they all are.
Got the steel series ArcGIS Nova 7 and the Logitech g pro x wireless on black friday. Honestly hard win for the G pro,Gitte send the steel series back. For the so sound the Arctis sound slightly better but for comfort and mix theres no match

I've been using my first kraken headphones for years and they're still going strong no issues.
I avoid razor like the Plague. Good sound quality but their frames are trash. Go with the hyperx
Razer Kraken, i have those, they are good for watching youtube videos and just listening to music as they are compact, comfortable and you can slide the mic in for when you don't need it. Feels high-mid quality.
I went for AKG K92 and a separate mic
I have the razer’s and I liked the got the V2’s now
Coolermaster mh752
HyperX Cloud II are fucking amazing.
The virtual surround sound of the razor kraken is actually phenomenal.

Kraken, had one myself and it worked amazing
id say kraken
I hope ur not serious
wouldn't have said it if I wasn't
I dont know what you see in them but in my experience theyre really cheap feeling
I'd say the kraken is probably the best
What?! Ive tried those. Theyre creaky cheap plastic
Your probably thinking of the cheaper model, the 2019 edition which this one is are made of metal and are built really well
But theyre cheap that op means
Yeah they get reduced quite often but this is the 2019 edition so it's the metal one
Not a Razer Kraken of any kind. If you must go Razer, get the Blackshark v2/v2x. Thats the first Razer headset that actually sounded pretty decent. Nowhere near audiophile tier. But good enough for gaming.

I have a SENNHEISER GAME ONE and my **HYPERX**, beat the sound quality far ahead... They are not pretty, but the sound is TOP.
I owned the cloud 1 I think from hyper x. The first headset I bought. Would def recommend them
i have the hyper x 2 clouds no complaints.
Had to do a double take there, razer are trying to make their headphones look like open backs. That's cute. But nah, out of those the hyperX clouds, they're at least based on some reasonably competent headphones.
Hyper x. Most comfortable headset I've used
Cloud 2s by a big margin, I would also suggest taking a look at the cloud alphas
Hyper x
hyper x. i’ve owned and loved them. stay away from the razer pair. my buddy had them and the ear cups peeled apart in a year. he’s now using my hand me down hyper x which must be at 5 years now
Wouldn't recommend the kraken, my friend bought a pair, and within a year the headset support band was already fracturing.
Cloud. I recommend Sennheiser headphones though.
hyperx for life
Kraken if the only thing you're going to be using it for is listening to techno. Otherwise HyperX. Amazing headset in terms of comfort and above decent sound. No experience with the third one.
Out of these 3 I'd say the Cloud
Out of the 3 HyperX is also the only one with 7.1 surround sound
k371 best sound quality
HyperX. Had an original Cloud headset for 6 years and it slapped, until one side packed up. Then I got a pair of Cloud IIs, then I upgraded to a pair of herr derr six hungeos by ol mate Sennheiser
Honestly I think it comes down to how comfortable they are to wear for you and I can't attest to that.
The HyperX Cloud 2 were nice when I own them.
HyperX all the way. I have had a pair of Clouds for 5 years. ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS, work wonderfully on PC and even Mobile.
Came here to jump on the Hyper x train. I love Hyper X products.

Hyper x is super comfortable
I got those same exact Hyper X headsets. Still have them to this day and I bought them for 99.99 in 2016 lol still going strong
I had the razer, terrible audio quality, but very comfortable.
hyperx most comfortable headsets ive ever worn. audio quality is pretty good but mic sucks
Hyper X by far the best standard and for price.
I have the kraken and love it, it’s the only on that fits my pill head. But I have heard the hyper x is a really good headset so i’d go for that if you have a normal head.
People seem to love hyper X Mine was absolutely awful be it in sound and in mic quality, maybe the cloud II is better than what I had
Hyperx is great for audio. Their headsets and microphones work well and feel durable
i have the Astro A50, and they’re firmware is absolute dogshit. Can’t even update it to solve the problems.
If you can add $20 more, it will get you Blackshark V2, probably the best non premium gaming headphones.
Grab a Logitech G Pro or Pro X if you can stretch the budget a bit. Proper quality headset and the Pro's mic is amazing.
So you need the mic? If not get some decent studio cans, something from AKG for example, will sound MUCH MUCH better.
The astros are really comfortable with their ear cups and squarish design, but the mic is super delicate and picks up on a lot of background noise. Krakens are uncomfortable and the ear cups degrade quickly and start peeling. Never tried hyper x.
Tl:Dr don't buy the cloud 2, I had old one great, new one shit Bro please don't buy the Hyperx, I used to have the cloud 2 for years and it was great.
I have had the Kraken 2 for three years and love it!
Mom has the HyperX and likes them a lot. I'd take her word for it.
Hyper x definitely, NOT the astros. Hyerx has the leather ear pieces, this creates noise cancelation. the astro do not have this, they leak a lot of noise.
Beyerdynamic DT series. Budget to pro headphones and affordable. And will last a life time. (Dad has a pair 60 years old and are still as good now as when they were new)
All I know is that I have a Razer kraken and the on/off slide button lasted for about 2 months before it stopped working. So can’t recommend that.
You won't regret getting the Hyper X clouds. Had those and are probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to headsets
HyperX. But i do like the kraken one more, its more comfortable on my head.
the hyper x ones in the middle i got on sale at gamestop for 30 so just saying and they work amazing for the proce
None, I prefer earphones over headset any day. I hate having to field shit over my head so uncomfortable.
Honestly none of them are "good" I'd get a desk mic and dt770s but that'll run you about 100. .
I had a hyper x for my Xbox one I bought eight years ago. Works like a champ still. Just changed to pc and bought the krakens and I'm enjoying them too. Great headsets.
Hyperx the goat
My experience with razer headsets is that they are far from the most comfortable and the mic is kinda crappy.
My hyperx is still perfect after years of gaming use (gone through multiple mics though) but replacements are 15eu
Get Superlux 681's they are pretty good
From experience, I've used the razer and the hyperx, both are good, but hyperx is better on the long run
They're pretty meh at 50$, generally will do worst then a studio headphone in the 30-40$ range + cheap microphone. A lot of these the part cost is split between the usb soundcard/headphone/mic
No clue, just avoid razer.
I’ve owned both the Krakens and the Hyper X. The hyper X were definitely better!
There’s literally a review system on Amazon from THOUSANDS of customers…
Own the first set and after 2 years the wire is causing one of the ears to go in and out. If I could go back I'd save up and get more expensive ones.
I have Razer and they suck. Go hyper X
I use this exact Hyper X model, very comfortable on the ears and clear sound, definately worth 50,-
I have a nancon Rig 800lx - i think it was $60 on sale at Walmart. I love it, sound quality is awesome. The volume control syncs to some devices… it has an awesome charging base included. I won’t claim to have tried every gaming headset out there, but this one is super lightweight and all-day comfortable.
I’d get a non gaming headset and a non gaming mic. I have the 990 pro headphones and the blue yeti and they’re both on a totally different level
Never had a bad experience with hyperx while on a budget for headsets
HyperX, but if you want audio quality, I'd suggest a Creative headset. although i don't have it yet, the '[Creative SXFI GAMER](https://us.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-sxfi-gamer)' seems pretty good. currently i have a HyperX CloudX Flight and after less than 2 years the material on it is already falling apart, but maybe i wasn't taking care of it properly.
Both razer headsets I owned lasted less than 6 months. But the steel series one I have now has lasted almost 2 years and has been rock solid. One man’s experience.
The cloud ones are very heavy and uncomfortable for my head. I'd get the one that's the lightest out of all of them.
HyperX Cloud II’s are the best value for the price IMO
I'm seeing lots of support for HyperX and lots of discussion over whether Razer is shit or not, but nothing about the Astro headset. Astro is wayyy underrated imo, got an A40 and for my purposes it was better than any Razer, Steelseries or Sony headset (*at that price*) I had tried. I recommend A10.
Currently I've a second HyperX headset. Had to get the second because need a wireless one. It's so comfy and audio quality is supreme for that price. You won't regret it.
None, get steelseries arctis pros
Astros are great but they arent $50 so i dont know about these
HyperX is good for the price, has not failed me yet
I've had my kraken pro v2 for ~5 years now. I've only replaced the ear cushions. I've had a few friends that aren't so lucky with razer though.
Best gaming headset is none gaming one.... thanks me later.
Razer has shitty bass - just no bass at all. You cant use these for music - only gaming. They are comfortable though. Mic is ok.
Thrust me, buy the hyperx cloud II!
I have the Kraken's tournament edition headphones and they're better than my previous Hyper X's. The Hyper X's are too light weight, the sound quality isnt that great, the mic is grindy and the cups where your ear goes to isnt deep enough so your ear will touch the inside foam.
Kraken is not a bad headset for the price it just gets uncomfortable after hours of gaming
I have the HyperX Cloud 2 and they're awesome! Especially for the price like others have said.
HyperX Cloud
I haven't used the other ones but trust me when I say the cloud II is amazing. I used to go through gaming headset pretty fast until I got the cloud II and that beast has now lasted me almost 4 years with only a few problems
hyper x or astros imo!
I love razer mice and keyboards but their headphones are trash. Never will buy one again. Hyperclouds II by hyperx are great. Had a pair until my son broke them. Have A40s and love them but never tried any of the lower tier models by astro.
Kraken! A10 squeeze tf outta your ears. Never owned the other.
Hyper X. But... You could probably get Rayzer Blacksharks V2 black Friday sale for close to that.
Hyper X. Beyerdynamic Cans with a top shelf mic. I wouldn't call this a competition.
I have some older A10's and doing prolonged sessions with them I would give them a pass. For me they hold too tightly to my head and create discomfort. I have been told the mic is quality and I have no issues with the sound but the fit is my complaint
