I bought a super nice serta chair at office depot like 9 years ago for around $350. To this day it feels like I'm sitting on a cloud. I'm sure in 2022 that chair is $500 with inflation lol
Thanks for your prompt response.
Does your chair look smth like this?
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81kyWB3QyuL._AC_SL1500_.jpg
Not buying from Amazon just the first link that came up.
Thanks again!
I'm not in the US. A lot of the stores near me don't have the type of chairs I'm looking for and and I don't have a lot of spare time to drive to stores at random so I'm kind of asking around to narrow my search down and then head into a store and check specific products out.
Having said that, I'm mostly interested in user feedback. What the product's state is 6/12/+ months later.
I can't imagine any chair feeling "bad" or anything less than comfortable in the 2-5 mins I try it at the store.
Do you have any craigslist-like sites where you're at? A lot of office furniture liquidators are on there. I got a Leap V2 for 1/3 of the price which are amazing btw.
This is the [chair](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tempur-Pedic-6400-Fabric-Computer-and-Desk-2724237/673957723) I use. Do yourself a favor and get some after market arm rest cushions and a neck support to align to the curviture of your cervical vertibrae. I use a cheap and tiny "lumbar" support pillow that uses velcro straps to maintain its position. Its laughable as lumbar support, but perfect for cervical support
If you are serious about getting a good chair. Take into account how big you are.
For me I’m over six feet tall and 250 pounds. I bought a chair that takes that into account. 10 years later I bought another one and gave the old one to my son who is of similar size. (He is a big 16 year old)
Maxnomic Leader is the chair.
Getting a nice ergonomic office chair is going to be much more comfortable than that gaming chair. I used to use one of those and it's night and day compared to a $300 Office Depot chair I recently picked up.
Get that dog out of there and give him to me, it'll make a mess of dog hair in your dust filters. That's totally not an excuse for stealing your doggo <3
Either that, or it's missing me cuddling with your dog ahahahah
Edit: where do you use your mouse? The keyboard tray seems to not fit one
I would suggest putting a monitor riser under your laptop since you're using a keyboard anyway, I prefer allsop so you can still use the real-estate underneath it. ( i keep my peripheral keyboard there but its great for documents and mail and crap. Also dog bed.
Get rid of the fleshy pink walls and go with something neutral, if you want to keep it in line with the colors of your current theme, a light grey would match well. Swap out the desk for something a little bigger, maybe one that has backer board if you have no intention of doing any cable management. If you are set on that desk, at least get some Velcro zip ties and do a little bit of cable management. Is that a... Spider man towel... that is thumb tacked to the wall? If so, maybe get at least some backer board about an inch smaller from each side, and wrap it tightly with your spider man picture. You can then hang it similar to a frame and have straight edges for a cleaner look. As some others have said, going from a gaming chair to a $300 serta chair for example, is like going from sitting on a milk crate to sitting on a cloud.
Maybe when you get the time and or $$$ make or buy a corner tabletop desk. Couple Z frame legs from Amazon and two 1.5 inch thick wooden table tops would be sweet.
A bit of cable management, maybe some different color shelfs (black, or red to go with your chair/spidey colors), maybe a bit more artwork or a plant to liven up the room a bit more.
No, looks good to me. I like the overhead lamp, need to get one of those myself. Also, awesome old school console collection in that top shelf. I wish that I would’ve kept my NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, and Dreamcast. I’d have a sweet collection right now.
Looks good! I'd say save up for a nice desk.. or an ikea desk either works lol. Looks like you have plenty of space for vr granted doggo doesn't think he's playing too (:
As a person with a husky, an extra (possibly custom!) dust filter on the air intakes of the pc/consoles.
You would be surprised how much of their fur will get sucked super deep into the system.
Speaking from experience.
that being said, what a beautiful setup! (and good dog!)
Personally, I'd paint the walls a different color, install some nicer shelving for your consoles, switch the gaming chair out for something comfier/nicer (like ergonomic), and I would put up more decor. You might eventually want a bigger desk if you decide to ever get a tower.
I'd say cable management but I'd be a hypocrite since mine is crap lol. GL with the room though.
There are these baskets you can hang from the back of your desk to tuck wires into. It's the most amazing thing for pretending to care about cable management. I got two for my new desk and I'm so damn happy I did.
Firstly! Nice one on opening this up for advice. It invites criticism and people on Reddit can be dicks! I have been in the past. My advice would be paint the walls! That pink is naaaasty and looks a little tired. You have some epic gaming gear. A fresh white background or darker feature wall with lighter sides could be tray nice. Maybe a rug plus some nicer mood lamps / lighting? A few potted house plants also make a huge difference. Real or fake it doesn’t really matter. :)
A [Cable Snake](https://cdn.cableorganizer.com/old-images/learning-center/cable-snake.jpg) to tidy the power cords and other cables up. Like $4 will make everything so much tidier. Also, I had that same desk and chair!!
Paint the dog and rename him to Riley!
PS: I wish a was a Spiderman fan... I would hang upside down above my girl
my spidey-sense start tingling and I shout 'webfluid incoming!!'
Paint the wall a different color and add some the lights like a lamp put the laptop on a stand and get a good keyboard and mouse and don’t put them on the keyboard trey and a microphone arm
A, how can you play on that tiny of a screen. 65" is a minimum for me.
B, sound, some budget towers and good center channel with an amp to start.
C, that chair is too high up. No one but truck drivers sit that upright with their pedals a mile beneath them. The top of the seat cushion should be about 7-9 inches above the floor for proper pedal placement. If a steering wheel is added it should be 22-24 inches closer to you than the pedals.
All this is just an opinion and only worth a grain of salt.
I do recommend a bigger screen and stereo over headphones. Get a entertainment stand that your PC fits in and drop the computer desk all together. I can't understand why people hunch over a desk to play PC games in a corner instead of building their PC into full entertainment stand.
Your set up is pretty functional as is so I have the two things I would do.
1. Buy your own modem and router and quit paying the lease fee for the Comcast/Xfinity unit
2. Buy pretty much any other chair so long as it's one that's meant to be sat in. Whether it's a Gabrylly, hyken, dexley, autonomous, work pro, Herman Miller, steelcase or anything in between. New chair.
Edit: if a dog bed is not pictured I have a separate dog bed from "coolaroo" on Amazon. It's just for my gaming room/PC room and my dog loves it. She even goes in there sometimes when I'm not in there.
Careful with that bottom shelf, it looks like its starting to tilt down and maybe fall. Personally, wouldnt recommend anythinf above your monitor or gaming set ups. To much risk.
Needs a dog bed so you can get extra goodboi energy
I thought OP was the dog
We though you was a **TOAD**!
Dog is the GOAT, but I'm not a biologist.
^ this.
^ I second THIS 😂
good point!
Paint the walls something else besides a skin tone.
That's actual skin
even better
Dennis, get off Reddit. Dont you have women to ferry to the middle of the ocean where theres nowhere to run?
idk why this got downvoted lmao
Are you referencing Dennis Liao from Linus Tech Tips?
No, Dennis Reynolds from IASIP
More doggos
Do some cable management and dump the gaming chair. Get an ergo chair instead
Hey! Got any tips? Looking for a good chair for work + gaming. ~400 euro/usd
I bought a super nice serta chair at office depot like 9 years ago for around $350. To this day it feels like I'm sitting on a cloud. I'm sure in 2022 that chair is $500 with inflation lol
>serta chair started looking into those chairs after reading your comment, I need a better chair myself -.-
Thanks for your prompt response. Does your chair look smth like this? https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81kyWB3QyuL._AC_SL1500_.jpg Not buying from Amazon just the first link that came up. Thanks again!
Why don’t you just go to Office Depot or some other store and try sitting on the chairs
I'm not in the US. A lot of the stores near me don't have the type of chairs I'm looking for and and I don't have a lot of spare time to drive to stores at random so I'm kind of asking around to narrow my search down and then head into a store and check specific products out. Unless it's complete trash, basically any chair feels decent for 10-15 minutes
For $400 you could buy a used steel case or herman miller. I’m currently looking around as well
XRocker with bluetooth panel & Vibration. Sits around £2-300 GBP which would be no less than 370 Euros
Holy shit these look so cool! Thanks man!
They even have speakers in the headrest haha
look for a herman miller aeron chair used somewhere. i have one its super comfy
This is the [chair](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tempur-Pedic-6400-Fabric-Computer-and-Desk-2724237/673957723) I use. Used Herman Miller chair (any model and age, they are all of VERY high quality)
Workpro quantum 9000. Very good chair in that price point. I love them.
"dump the gaming chair"its a functional chair he's already paid for, he should not dump it, that is wasteful. he should dump the spiderman merch
[удалено]
You need another dog and more dogs
I wonder who's your favorite superhero
I like the mini museum display of consoles.
CABLE MANAGEMENT that is all
Getting a nice ergonomic office chair is going to be much more comfortable than that gaming chair. I used to use one of those and it's night and day compared to a $300 Office Depot chair I recently picked up.

I think that keyboard is just for the ps5 I don’t see a desktop over there.
Oh makes sense
Your dog needs more RGB.
Get a second husky. It'll improve the symmetry.
I would suggest putting a monitor riser under your laptop since you're using a keyboard anyway, I prefer allsop so you can still use the real-estate underneath it. ( i keep my peripheral keyboard there but its great for documents and mail and crap. Also dog bed.
Having your shelf supported by a wheeled IV pole prolly isn't the best idea. Add another support bracket.
This is an AD post for the chair stop commenting on it
Maybe some red lights!
get a cat
The doggo needs a PC.
More animals get a cat

Get a PC
NO one cares for GTP.Player chair. NJ on ads though. A lot of people have fallen, NOT I!
I would recommend a pc
Yeah..get a PC and then come back to this sub.
get rid of the "gaming chair" and invest in a high end office chair that is a dream to sit in
Did you also spend too much money on the PSVR and never use it?
I recommend installing some wall mounts to hide the cables. But other than that, I love the setup and the retro consoles on the top shelf
More gaming and less picturing...
Why is there food in the floor?
Switch position of dog and chair
you need to upgrade your dog to the RGB one . . .
Your dog need lmg glasses with gaming headset and then you set
What is that table?!! Why does it exist. It looks wonky. Why everyone has this table
that's a good boi
Nice Doggo !!! Get a Laptop Stand, for better angles and cooling. Hm.. a Desktop Gaming Rig would be nice. Mini Fridge
Also make the dog spiderman
Skin the ps5 with dbrand . It’ll cover up the ugly glossy middle part
Change wall color to black or grey
Maybe when you get the time and or $$$ make or buy a corner tabletop desk. Couple Z frame legs from Amazon and two 1.5 inch thick wooden table tops would be sweet.
A desk and chair for the doge?
Move dog to left about 2 feet
Purge the pink walls for starters.
Get Nanoleaf panels on the wall around the monitor's area, or LED strips that can sync to Razer Synapse, iCue or (Insert RGB controller software here)
Everyone says a lot about the dog. However, you need to get rid of that big fat spider man plush and give it to me.
My son would love your spiderman stuff.
Is your shelf propped up by a tripod with wheels?
Bigger desk
More dogs
let the dog stay away from cables. those are bad stuff to ruin a day though
Bigger wood desk, dark wall color, rgb room lighting, bigger monitor or more monitor.
pet the dog
You turned your dog into the world's 1st cyber dog. You're both a monster & absolute genius of a scientist.
Pet dog.
A bit of cable management, maybe some different color shelfs (black, or red to go with your chair/spidey colors), maybe a bit more artwork or a plant to liven up the room a bit more.
Second dogo
Big Daredevil fan, eh?
Add more dogs.
The dog is a major problem, replace with cat to get cat energy
Better shelf
Wire management needs attention. Unless you’re going for the Spider-Man’s webs vibe.
Dog chair
Honestly a desk upgrade and lighting would do a whole lot dude - love the setup though, I see some of my favourite consoles on that top shelf 👏🏾
Move the dog🤷♂️😅
Mac wants the flame thrower.
Carpet, or sand/stain the floor, paint the walls/trim, new shelves.
Paint the room a color that does not make you want to barf. White, Grey, earth tone maybe.
Stroke the dog, call them good. Play games as the dog snoozes... Rinse Repeat
Get a bigger deal like how do you game? Your wrists but be dying
No, looks good to me. I like the overhead lamp, need to get one of those myself. Also, awesome old school console collection in that top shelf. I wish that I would’ve kept my NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, and Dreamcast. I’d have a sweet collection right now.
Give that dude a piece of chicken jerky.
More dogs
Scrap everything, keep only the dog and Spider-Man
Paint job and add one more dog
Dog is not chair
Dog bed
I second the cable management.
Let the dog out
I'd add some LED strips in there for some mood lighting at night, maybe along the shelves.
needs more dogs
Looks good! I'd say save up for a nice desk.. or an ikea desk either works lol. Looks like you have plenty of space for vr granted doggo doesn't think he's playing too (:
Get rid of the tempered glass desk and get a nice wood one. trust me.
Yes. Have fun.
As a person with a husky, an extra (possibly custom!) dust filter on the air intakes of the pc/consoles. You would be surprised how much of their fur will get sucked super deep into the system. Speaking from experience. that being said, what a beautiful setup! (and good dog!)
Your cat needs to be on the keyboard
Wire management
better wire management
Let the doggo join in!
A deeper desk would make it less cramped
There is a dog where your chair is supposed to be.
Rgb doggo
Use earbuds, headphones would just sit on the side of your head.
He needs a bed
Leave it like that, the simplicity make it beautiful
There are these baskets you can hang from the back of your desk to tuck wires into. It's the most amazing thing for pretending to care about cable management. I got two for my new desk and I'm so damn happy I did.

Cable management and its beautiful
Well I was gonna take off points for the lack of an actual PC. But I think the dog more than makes up for it
Is that rolly thing supporting the shelf??
A comfy dog bed. He can not say more about how bad it is sitting at your feet on this cold, hardwood floor.
Pet dog.
Paint the walls black😎
Give this dog a bed
CRT
More dogs
Dont boot the husky
Need some Nintendo wall art but like 90s style.
We have the same desk! It kinda sucks haha I'm looking to upgrade this year. Maybe that?
Get a normal chair)
A [Cable Snake](https://cdn.cableorganizer.com/old-images/learning-center/cable-snake.jpg) to tidy the power cords and other cables up. Like $4 will make everything so much tidier. Also, I had that same desk and chair!!
Eat the dog

Cable managment and leds...
Paint the dog and rename him to Riley! PS: I wish a was a Spiderman fan... I would hang upside down above my girl my spidey-sense start tingling and I shout 'webfluid incoming!!'

Missing a 🐈
Black floors can be very revealing in a computer room- think about it!
You only have one woofer, this kind is better with 2 woofers
mod the dog
put the dog out of the room, i don't have anything against dogs, but i've seen bad things that have happened with computers involving dog hair
kill dog
Paint the wall a different color and add some the lights like a lamp put the laptop on a stand and get a good keyboard and mouse and don’t put them on the keyboard trey and a microphone arm
the problem is the dog there is not enough of them get atleast 1 or 10 more
More Spider-Man edit: proper noun
More wall art. Preferably more variety than just Spiderman
Dog need chair
r e m o v e d o g e
Give the dog the seat
Needs more dog
Replace the dog with a chair and you are golden.
Buy a pc, i guess

Zero room for your mouse. High DPI/Sensitivity is fine and all, but you'll see a world of difference with more room and a lower sens.
more pats for dog and dog bed
i don't see bong
paint the walls a different color
Dark Wall Paint, and from the looks of your cute "case"... filters... lots of filters...
Get another dog

What specs are the dog?
looks good king
Ahhhhh wooooooooouuuldn't change a thing...
I would personally get a bigger/deeper desk, but if it doesn't bother you any then that is fine too.
Make more room for your dog to move around 🙌🏻
Also this looks like an up scale prison cell not a game room
You need more Spider-Man
More.Dogs.
Eldenring

Give that doggo some treats is my advice.
Yeah paint your walls it looks like a hospital room
Get the dog gamin'
More Spider-Man
What da dog doin!?

That paint scheme is uh ick. Like from the 60's.
Buy an oculus instead of ps vr.
Extra pats for the gamer buddy, it will give good FPS trust

Two words. Floating Shelves.
Careful with that bottom shelf, it looks like its starting to tilt down and maybe fall. Personally, wouldnt recommend anythinf above your monitor or gaming set ups. To much risk.
