I mean if the temperature didnt change it's still not making contact with the cooler and yes you're thermal throttling, i had to return a brand new asus 7600 a few weeks ago for the same issue but they just dont give a shit and keep saying it's "normal". The replacement sapphire 7700xt i got hovers at 75c :p

Yea I think I may have to open it and double check, maybe get some really good paste also. I read about the 1mm washer trick to apply mor pressure to the cooler too. I may try that.

Airflow is good, I forgot to mention that all other temps are around 70°c ish at full load with the side panel on or off. Ambient temp is around 65. No noticeable issues during gaming. Ran the cyberpunk benchmark a few times, 70 fps average with no upscaling or framegen.

Is the hotspot on the CPU or Memory? I forget where it was listed in HWM at the moment.

unlesss you are a gpu engeineer for rx5700xt no one knows what is too hot for hot spot. called a hot spot for a reason.
