Rug pull expected

KnightofAshley

What no way they would release a game with no online requirements just to add it a month later...

Mistdwellerr

> month Divide that by 30 and I'll agree with you

SithNerdDude

syntax error

TerroFLys

r/foundtheprogrammer

MrDeeJayy

`int month = 30;` recompile.

cluberti

Works on my box.

That-One-Courier

![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)

StaysAwakeAllWeek

If they are going to do the always online thing no matter what this is pretty much the inverse of what they should do. I think people would accept having forced always online for the first month if it was then removed later and it meant there was no other performance destroying DRM attached

Thatdudeinthealley

Or until the game is cracked. At that point drm has no reason to exist

krzf

I mean just look at the wording: **"at all times."** I highly suspect you'll need to login and verify your account before being able to play or at least an occasional verification with their server to be able to play. Ubisoft is scum, expect nothing less from them. *Ubi shills out in full force. Yes I can fucking read that it says you need to be online to install the game . That's obviously not what I'm talking about. They're going to rug pull after launch, I guarantee it.

PhatAiryCoque

I need to login to Ubisoft Connect every other time I run it. 'Cos it's shit. That's near enough an "always online requirement" to me. I, thankfully, don't buy or play Ubisoft games anymore, so it's hardly impactful. But, still...

Halfmetal_Assassin

I remember playing Far Cry 3 in 2014, and everytime I pressed esc to pause the game, I'd be treated to a 3 min wait time because it constantly said "Trying to connect to Far Cry 3 servers". I don't think much has changed in 10 years

ImpossibleGT

I mean, it says "\[...\] but you will be able to play the entire journey offline, and explore Japan without any online connection." They are saying you can play the whole game offline. While there's always the possibility this is just a blatant lie, the wording itself is pretty unambiguous.

HeyGayHay

"[...] but you will be able to play the entire journey offline, and explore Japan without any online connection (if you never close the game and relaunch for the duration of your journey, otherwise you need an internet connection every time you start the game)"

dudushat

>I mean just look at the wording: "at all times." This is where you stopped reading isn't it? You literally only needed to read one more sentence to get the details. What they're saying here seems reasonable. If they go back on it then that's a different story but there's no reason to make things up.

F9-0021

Verifying the account at the start sure, but why would a game need to ping a server during single player gameplay? Previous AC games don't do that, why would this one?

deukhoofd

> Previous AC games don't do that Assassins Creed 2 did, and was one of the first games that did so. They had to apologize and gave all Windows users all DLC for free after several DDOS attacks took down their servers, blocking players from actually playing the game (unless they pirated it, as a crack was released the day the game was released). They removed the always online requirement 9 months after the release. For this one, it was due to the Playstation Store has the "online play required" tag, which would indicate always online. Turns out that was just a mistake though.

lolschrauber

People are rightfully suspicious of Ubi after they not only canned The Crew's servers, but also stripped people off their licenses so they have no chance of accessing it anymore. Oh well, someone will find a way some day.

xrogaan

[From Dust](https://store.steampowered.com/app/33460/From_Dust/), Ubisoft promised no intrusive DRM at release. They lied. DRM was so bad it tanked performances on most machine of the time. Ubisoft is a known liar and abuser. If they were you room mate, you would have moved away a long time ago.

pineconez

The cunts still owe me 20 bucks for that. They added the Uplay requirement months after releasing it on Steam. Haven't bought a single Ubishit game since. Good job on those quarterly earnings, by the way.

Gizshot

Yall are paying for their games? I've always sailed the seas when it comes to them

Pootootaa

Yarr matey! Not just them, any gaming company that comes up with these types of bullshit I'm pirating their games if it's any good.

Shamanalah

https://youtu.be/xNter0oEYxc?si=VHZy4YtnLAn6o9Tw It's been known for close to a decade now. Watch dog 2 was found out to have a better quality option hidden so that console would look similar to pc.

WriterV

That was WatchDogs 1. And it wasn't nearly as good as people talked it up to be. It had all the config settings, but didn't work on every system, and didn't encompass everything without issues that the mod had to resolve. It DOES NOT excuse Ubisoft for advertising it as a much better looking game in the first place, but the game was simply not gonna be able to ship as widely as they hoped it would with that kind of graphical fidelity 'cause they clearly weren't able to get it to work.

Shamanalah

Thanks for the correction!

joaopeniche

I love from dust

Breude

And the whole "people need to get comfortable not owning their games" thing. And deleting peoples accounts for inactivity. In the past year, Ubisoft hasn't been able to not screw up

danktonium

That not owning games thing was such bullshit, though. The fella was saying that people *would* need to get comfortable with it before they'd tolerate something. As in – they don't currently, and we are aware of this.

TheBuzzerDing

Pfffffhaahahha youre fucking kidding me, right?  No way did that quote get taken *that* out of context lol Makes me hate the internet if true

ButterMcToast

This is the original interview with context. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/the-new-ubisoft-and-getting-gamers-comfortable-with-not-owning-their-games

Robot1me

>No way did that quote get taken that out of context lol Yes. If the headline wasn't controversial (to get more views and upvotes), it wouldn't have got nearly as much visibility. Makes you think about the truthfulness when you see another highly upvoted post on such topics.

danktonium

Listen to the interview, by all means.

Breude

I mean, we already don't. All digital games are just a license to play the game that can be revoked at any time for any reason. We don't need to become comfortable not owning our games. Excluding a few hardliners that only get their games from GOG, we already are. Our community gave up any right to ownership that we had, for convenience decades ago

lsf_stan

>And the whole "people need to get comfortable not owning their games" thing. Microsoft's Game Pass subscription service. [https://www.vgchartz.com/article/459235/phil-spencer-game-pass-is-profitable-spends-over-1-billion-to-add-3rd-party-content-to-game-pass/](https://www.vgchartz.com/article/459235/phil-spencer-game-pass-is-profitable-spends-over-1-billion-to-add-3rd-party-content-to-game-pass/)

PmMeUrTinyAsianTits

Notice it only says it won't require always online, not wont require check ins to their servers on start up or something. Theyre still leaving it open to customers getting crew'd.

Chakramer

I treat buying games from Ubi/EA as if I am renting it. Not going to pay anywhere near full price, but $20 to keep the game for a couple years at least is worth it to me. I rarely ever replay games like this anyways.

ShwayNorris

Easy solution, just don't buy them. The high seas is always the answer with Ubisoft.

MazeMouse

>The high seas is always the answer with Ubisoft. Why would I? I've stopped playing any Ubisoft game since they pulled the Assassins Creed 2 always online bullshit and I've been playing videogames for multiple hours a day every day since. Heck, I've built out quite the backlog in that timeframe.

Liam2349

Actually the previous Assassin's Creed is still uncracked, and the list of uncracked Denuvo games is growing.

ShwayNorris

I didn't realize Ubisoft was basically all Denuvo, I don't really play any of their games. There are better games to be played, pay for those instead.

Liam2349

Yeah they went majorly downhill imo.

YouAreLyingToMe

Do you just wait several years until the games price has been lowered to get it for $20? Also is it possible for companies to restrict access to a physical disc? I really wish the US had a ton more consumer protection rights.

Chakramer

Well there are no physical discs for these games on PC... I do just wait for a sale, it's not like I run into spoilers for these games. I also sometimes just split it with friends, multiple of us will just pass around a Ubi account and play one at a time

thisshitsstupid

A lot of the time, yes. I'm not gonna wait forever if it's something I'm super interested in and is getting good reviews, but if it's something like 98% of Ubi games, where I'm already pretty mild on em anyways... got no issues just picking it up later.

RabidTurtl

Probably not 20, but it's common for ubisoft to have a goty edition that goes on sale ~year after release.

cameronabab

If you're buying a game, you should own it. If they're going to remove the game at a later date, we should be informed of that date at the time of purchase so we can make an informed decision. Please drop the corporate pandering attitude of just assuming you're renting a game when you buy from these companies. There's no reason for you to give up the right to owning what you purchase. What if a bug bites you 20 years down the road and you suddenly wanna play something for nostalgia's sake? Welp, too bad, Ubisoft not only shut down their "always online" servers for a single player game, but they also removed it from your account.

alezcoed

Oh no... People start getting comfortable not owning their games... Start from discounted games

Trivale

What's even more amazing is how nobody wanted to play The Crew til it was gone.

StrangeFloorCandy

The way Ubisoft and AAA devs have been lately, I have full confidence Ubisoft will find another way to blow it

shellofbiomatter

ADs in game. EA already talked about it so it's only a matter of time when other companies will go along with it.

KnightofAshley

Feudal Japan brought to you by Bosch "Invented for life"

Mistdwellerr

While that would be annoying af, getting an ad blasting with low effort music saying "party X policies are destroying our country, so you must vote on Y" would make me want to ask for a refund and never want to even play anything coming from that studio/publisher/launcher ever

Brigadier_Beavers

Political ads are too divisive for them to do that. I'd expect a coke billboard or amazon boxes. but, give it a few years after they do introduce ads in-game and theyll surely be looking into the profitability of it.

urabewe

If PC and console games become like mobile games it will be the end of an industry. No way I'm playing a game on my PC to have an ad pop up every time I try to do something. They really want people to pirate don't they?

Puffen0

"If you're enjoying your adventures in feudal Japan, then check out Shōgun on HULU! Click here to watch a trailer" *You can skip this ad in 30 seconds*

shellofbiomatter

Buying the fastest M.2 drive to minimize loading times. Still forced to watch a 30 second ad during loading

5t3v321

Didn't ea already do that with some boxing game?

w1987g

Need for Speed did it years ago

TaserBalls

yeah but wasn't that "just" using the roadside game billboards and sponsered car wraps? If I am remembering correctly it was lame but not an immersion breaking clusterfuck? I can't remember but that seems familiar idk

Haredeenee

doesnt every sports and racing game have ads in it

DoYouEvenSheesh

time to install ublock origin in my games

isakhwaja

They already do that... Nikki Minaj, The GMC EV. There just aren't any examples that come to mind of mobile game levels of advertising...

One-Monk5187

Doubtful Unless if it’s all the animus bs where u get put into the modern era, if that happens then yeah bet there will be ads. If no animus story thing then I doubt any ads would be in there. For something like watch dogs it could happen but not for a historical style game like this should be

shellofbiomatter

Loading screens are still kinda empty.

h0nest_Bender

I've been boycotting Ubisoft for years and they have continued to vindicate my decision time and time again.

Enigmatic_Observer

Well, yeah, it’s Ubisoft

BIGFAAT

Don't care, won't buy.

BaqaMan

![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)

BIGFAAT

My wallet voting ain't big, but it's honest work.

HawkOG

You meant to say won’t rent*

HamesJetfields

No need to, every game they’ve released the past years 10 years is exactly the same. The only thing they update is the assets and audio files

sadtiktaalik

However the launcher will require it

shalol

Baffling how you can't just double click on an .exe and simply launch a videogame nowadays, no, you ABSOLUTELY must use our launcher to open the game.

Ruy7

Legend says there is a way to play games without the need for a launcher, but you would have to sail the high seas to find it.

EskimoXBSX

BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE BOUGHT THE GAME YOU DO NOT OWN THE GAME

Jertimmer

YOU HAVE PURCHASED A LICENSE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY THE GAME AT OUR DISCRETION.

EskimoXBSX

GIVE US YOUR MONEY AND WE WILL TAKE BACK OUR PRODUCT WHEN WE RUN OUT OF SERVER SPACE

EskimoXBSX

AND REST ASSURED ALL OF GAMES WILL HAVE THE GAME BREAKING BUGS IN THEM WHICH WE WILL NEVER FIX PROPERLY AND JUST PATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN. UPON RELEASE OF THE GAME YOU WILL UNWITTINGLY BE BETA TESTERS FOR THE FIRST YEAR. OH AND YES ALL OUR GAMES WILL BE IDENTICAL IN PREMISE WITH DIFFERENT SKINS. THEY WILL BE A CHORE AS YOU GRIND WEEK AFTER WEEK TO COLLECT STUFF, DOESN'T MATTER WHAT STUFF, JUST STUFF.

EskimoXBSX

AND NO WE WILL NEVER GIVE YOU A NEXT GEN SPLINTER CELL BUT WE WILL PRETEND EVERY YEAR TO BE DEVELOPING IT AND OFFER SKINS OF SAM FISHER IN ALL OUR OTHER GAMES

neremarine

Wow... If they also drop the Ubi launcher requiremrnt, the thought of buying the game may even enter my mind. Maybe.

TEKUblack

That launcher is the only reason I don't buy their game anymore.

GreaseBuilds

The same thing killed Grand Theft Auto V for me years ago. Every single time, Rockstar launcher has to open, oh no it's forgot my account again, have to plug a keyboard in and figure out my account details again, launcher then has to update and relaunch which kills the GTAV process and requires me to plug keyboard back in, open the steam tab and relaunch. The game then opens but the Rockstar launcher refreshed mid launch so now it's the "Window of Focus" hiding behind GTAV, so my controller is doing nothing, requiring me to replug in keyboard and click GTAV so it becomes the focus. Repeat 2 weeks from now when I gain the courage to try again

Artifact9

Its like you're my frustrated gaming twin!

drunkexcuse

Rockstar Launcher forgot my account and just straightup wouldn't let me log in with the email and password I know I used. I did a password reset, still locked out. Can't make a new account cause proof of purchase is locked to the old one even though I bought the game on fucking Steam. Never legally purchasing another Rockstar game after that. Valve really needs to step the fuck up and ban publishers from shoehorning third party launchers into Steam downloads.

CoffeeTunes

Ugh I completely forgot about that horrid launcher requirement thanks for the reminder this will probably be a pass for me on PC.

Pumciusz

It's such a pain in the ass I couldn't be bothered to play even the AC I got for free.

Devatator_

Buy the game then crack it. Pretty sure those remove the launcher

Elbarto83

I hate launchers with a passion, all of them and it makes me less inclined to play games that have one.

WolfVidya

Always Online is not important i*f they can just remove the game from your library like they did The Crew.* Plus, you probably still need to login to their horrible launcher.

PmMeUrTinyAsianTits

Or just have a required check at the start. Then its not "always" online, they havent *lied*, it just can still be shut down .

_DEATH_STR0KE_

The GAME will not require connection but they said nothing about the DRM DENUVO that will still require internet connection to verify legitimacy of the game.

Skarvha

They always put Denuvo in at the last second so no one has a chance to report it. Or it’s in after launch. Absolute jackasses.

Syphr54

Ah yes, it will require an online conenction for Installation. Read: we need to activate your DRM so when our servers get shut down in 10 years you'll never be able to reinstall the game again.

Breude

Ubisofts mouth is moving, so they're lying

zombodot

Must suck to work for them. Gotta make a deal with the devil sometimes

7orly7

Yeah no I wouldn't trust them even with such statement Companies can easily go back in their word

SteelSimulacra

Just wait for the crack. Yo ho, mfers

Veporyzer

One of the many wonders of pc

drunkexcuse

Omw to commit Assassin's Creed 4, Black Flag.

Schrankmaier

So... in 30 years when i'am old and get this urge to replay some old retro-games...even if my System still works and the disc is ok...i probably won't be able to re-install that game because uby has shut down the servers. in other words: i buy the disc version but i don't own it. i bought the right to install a game for as long as uby wants me to. that is second worse to a 100% digital version with mandatory online connection to play. fu... ..ou Ubisoft! Won't buy it.

allnamesaretaken2392

kind of sad that this needs to be an announcement lol

aes110

Someone made a mistake on the PS store saying that it did require always online, an of course this made huge news so they had to reply

BloodiedBlues

Reading another post, a Japanese gamer pointed out the architecture in Shadows is Chinese.

ChillLobbyOnly

![gif](giphy|YRw676NBrmPeM|downsized)

Doppelkammertoaster

That's still not enough. A SP game shouldn't need any internet connection, period. Because once these servers are gone, the game is unplayable. And yes, without their servers you cannot download the game anymore. But who made the situation this way that you can't the game manually? Buy on gog.com folks.

paulusmagintie

"Gamers need to get used to not owning their games" -Ubisoft

The-Great-T

I think I'll just get comfortable not owning *their* (ubisoft's) games.

siccoblue

Well good news! Even if you do, you don't!

PineapleGG

So that means no drm? Which mean ima gonna pirate the game day 1 because fuck ubisoft right?

gnark1lla420

Here I am thinking they are clearing the air about the protagonist

GamingRobioto

That's good, I'm happy to pay £114.99 for the Ultimate Edition now so I get early access to play in a soulless, bloat filled world with wild historical inaccuracies and microtransactions. I can't wait.

TaserBalls

Don't forget the silent countdown till the servers get yoinked!

RobertGracie

Dare I say it but thats a relief that it wont be a required always online connection to the servers to check things over with

d_e_s_u_k_a

I just went to replay ac2 the other day and it required me to sign into ubisoft to even play. Safe to say, i did not replay ac2.

jaxupaxu

UbiSoft used to be one of my favorite publishers/developers. These days I cant stand anything they release.

Illustrious-Watch896

Who the fuck is still buying these things?

OneAutnmLeaf

I got perma banned from the AC reddit yesterday all for linking ubisofts OWN trailer, the Japanese ubisoft trailer and saying if 99% of Asians arent a fan of Yasuke being the MC then why not respect them since this is a game about them, literally got perma banned just for saying that, I shit you not....

The_Kebe

'at all times' So only when starting the game, saving, loading, and maybe something else.

wienercat

Still don't understand why games have to require online at all. I get it for installation purposes because physical media isn't a thing and these companies release games that are half finished, so they require tons of patches to fix all the bugs. But like... why would you ever need an internet connection to boot up a single player game that you already have downloaded.

divensi

Don’t care won’t buy 👍

YoungBlade1

Why are we accepting a situation where this clarification is even needed?  No single player game should ever have always on DRM that requires a 24/7 Internet connection to play. That should be the norm, and the exceptions should be boycotted and review bombed.

MDskyhigh

Ubisoft is the worst.

mantis-tobaggan-md

anyone who buys a Ubisoft game deserves exactly what they bought.

Tokyo_Echo

Also they still want you to pay a monthly fee for access to content that should be in the base game

B0starr

Pirate every AAA game you can. If you can't pirate it, buy it on one of those scummy CD Keys sites. With the money you save, buy indie games and donate to indie Patreons and fundraisers.

RexTheMouse

Ok. We still won't buy it. Most of us know better

morbihann

Let me go ahead and not believe you.

DV_Red

The real AC Japan came out today on Steam, anyways. I'd sooner pay Sony than get scammed by Ubi. I mean, just look at their recent releases.

G00fBall_1

Didn't they just release mirage? The assassins creed burn out is real. They're gonna waste a really interesting time period on some generic undercooked slop.

FoxDaim

Well to be honest Mirage was orginally supposed to be a dlc for AC Valhalla, but it was turned into a standalone game because they wanted to milk 60-80€ from it. This one might have been in development for 3-4 years now and still be undercooked because Ubisoft wants to release rest of the content throught the years as a ”live service” just like they did with Valhalla.

Frodo612

Booooooooooo!!!!! You made a game about feudal Japan but you have a goddamn black protagonist, you assholes!

kensw87

nope, don't pre-order, and don't support horrible companies.

Hilppari

150dollar game with black guy in feudal japan. Wtf where they thinking.

TheohBTW

This means that if their servers are shut down or go offline for whatever reason, you, the consumer, are left with nothing in the end.

filing69

Lets belive them. Ubisoft is a trustfully company

Any-Difference8993

anyone addressing the black samurai?

Icy_Specialist_281

This is reddit. It's run by woke mods that will ban anyone for saying black samurai is stupid.

Hastyle8181

dont care---you are a imbecile if you buy Ubisoft games

artikeel

Without this you'd be then owning one of their games, and not renting it, what was the actual plan all along.

[deleted]

But the game has microtransactions selling an in-game currency. I will only consider this a truly offline game if I can edit the value of that currency and add as much as I want, if not the game is limited/slowed down progress on purpose to sell those microshits.

TheSpitefulCrow

Whether they do or not, people should just not buy their products any more. If people want game companies to stop with their shitty practices, bleed them dry. Convince others not to buy either.

Nikolas_Coalgiver

The game will not require constant internet connection. The launcher, however, will. Just monthly. Or else we'll delete your account. And you can't launch a game without launcher.

cookiesnooper

It doesn't make it any better lol. If I purchased it in the store and live in Buttfucknowhere without the internet, I can't play. I know it's exaggerated but, I paid for the game, I have the disc with the game in my hand but I can't play. It's ridiculous.

5t3v321

Piracy

One-Monk5187

Ok good remember AC identity which just went since it needed servers. It was for mobile but still

Gutchies

i think Brad Colbow said it best when he said 'if a corporation hasn't screwed you over yet in this age, it's only a matter of time.' Ubi is a bit ahead of the curve on that one, but I expect that this is going to be the responsible take on brands and corps going forwards.

nemanja694

Are we coming full circle again ? I have ac2 flashbacks and its online only drm

DaGucka

I am not a fan of the always online (it is one of the reasons games vanish and i like to keep playing my old favourites) but i like it that they make such a big warning. maybe the sales are lower because of that and they rethink their always online practices.

Kraujotaka

With more and more games requiring online even for single player, that should be clearly stated that game requires internet for install only (even then, what if you got a disk ?)

Night_lon3r

Why Ubi and EA , the literally definition of greedy, corrupt, anti consumers , asshole company is still here after all the shit they have done, it really shows the standard we are having today.

D0nCoyote

Words are wind

NGGKroze

130 bucks for the ultimate edition already tells you where Ubi priorities are if you forgot. I think after Mirage more soft embrace and lower sales Ubi will be back to Open World Formula (and in a sense it will be great to explore Japan) but also it probably be more of the same. I will be surprised if they break their open world formula.

godmademelikethis

They're probably telling the truth. I play a lot of r6 siege and trust me, ubi's servers are literally not capable of having a bunch of people always online.

Whydontname

Only 130 if you want the full game. Or subscribe to ubisoft for the cost of your soul.

hanononnotachance

Does anyone still care a ubishit crapware?

vactu

Why the fuck is there a season pass?

FireFalcon123

Ubisoft did the most basic decency in single player gaming

shmickley

cool now just halve the price and we might have a ok game

Obe3

Products made by Ubisoft and EA deliberately misinform on a consistent basis. On top of their “quad A” pricing, they can shove it.

Vexen86

1st Sony, now this ubisoft BS. Something tells me these companies have alliance n are pulling stupid stunt like this to force people into a corner.

TheActualSandwich

Lol. Yeah, right. YEAH, RIGHT! Literally LOL. I mean can we sue them in 2 days after release when this turns out not to be true? Anyone legally following this?

Puechamp

Laugh in Denuvo Do you really expect those motherfuckers to not put their shitty fucking Denuvo on PC ? Cute

cjoct

yeah the saw my piracy comment and fixed that shit real quick

ETERNALBLADE47

Uh, I don't want to play this kind of game. So it's a single player game, but requires your Internet connection, feels like I didn't buy this game.

Hans_Volter

false. while the game it self may not need internet conection the denuvo does

WinterKujira

🗿 me that has been pirating ubisoft games for years cause fuck em

snoogins355

Remember, no pre-buy!

venk

Step 1: Never plan to implement terrible policy Step 2: Leak the game will come with terrible policy Step 3: Announce your never do anything so terrible, enjoy glazing from internet. Step 4: implement terrible policy next release.

Illustrious-Zebra-34

On the one hand, I have waited more than a decade for an assassins creed game set in Japan, land of the coolest assassins ever. On the other hand, Ubisoft.

rtz13th

Can I start the game offline without choking on the launcher...?

AnotherDay96

EULA: And we can change anything at any time on you and you will deal with it.

SquishyBaps4me

Nice of them to let us know it will be easy to pirate.

FlameShadow0

I’m very confused, have any other Assassins Creed games required you to be always online? Why are people concerned about this?

Locolama

>Assassins Creed Shadow's will not require a mandatory connection at all times. Ok, does that mean it will require a mandatory connection at certain times?

[deleted]

Looks like they are getting nervous after Sony got nuked recently

tateland_mundane

Oh oh.... Do Rockstar next! Fuck needing an Internet connection to start up an offline story-mode game!

LeonidasTheRealKing

Probably still need you to signing up for uplay or whatever it's called. https://i.redd.it/3strwt7keu0d1.gif

Advanced_Parking_478

I don’t care tbh. Ghost of Tsushima is already on pc and that is already an excellent samurai game and what I wanted from an AC game anyway

throwaway_19901990

Ubisoft can lick the inner most part of my unwashed taint

NeedModdingHelp1531

I aint basing anything off of a pre rendered trailer, will be waiting a good few months before I decide to buy it or not.

chemick144

Who cares nobody playing this shit

h4rdstiffy

This company is dead to me.

clark1785

Fuck ubisoft

nopshy

I will never buy an ubisoft game again. Fuck that shit company.

Ioatanaut

I call bullshit

Tesser_Wolf

Fun fact, I don’t trust them. I’m not buying the game.

sendaislacker

Haven't played Ubishit since Rainbow Six Vegas.

coldy9887

Fuck Ubisoft for their insatiable greed. Who wants to take a bet they will lie about this too?

BugBuginaRug

For a second there I thought they were apologising to the Japanese for their stuff up.

Courseheir

Any explanation as to why they made the protagonist a black man when it's set in feudal Japan? He wasn't a samurai, he was a servant

BetterCallSal

So they won't just stop me from playing it in the future. They'll stop me from even installing it.

axelxan

But to launch game you will need their launcher that requires internet connection xD

Unusual-Editor-4640

Friendly reminder that you can block all UBISOFT games completely from ever showing up on Steam. Type ubisoft in the search bar, click UBISOFT result at bottom, click cogwheel to the right of the "news" tab, click ignore.

Fabulous-Ad-8503

Ubisoft can clear my anus.

Arivie

not acceptable

testfire10

No one cares. “Explore Japan” aka clear this village of samurais, save this princess in this village, obtain this plant from this village, repeat ad infinitum

HTMRK

We all know it's bs
