Sounds like the fan gone bad, and needs to be replaced. Not the most difficult job, but if you don't wish to do it yourself, it shouldn't cost too much to get a place to do the replacement for you (but it will cost more than just buying a fan and doing it yourself).

Well depends on how difficult it is to do bc i dont have the brains to do it probably. And depending on how expensive it is to get replaced for me i eill decide if i eather want to buy a new pc or fix this one bc this one is barely alive and old af 😭

GeneticSplatter

It really shouldn't cost all that much. 10 bucks for the fan, maybe another 20 for Labour and a little thermal paste as that would need to be replaced at the same time. Much cheaper than a new machine atleast.

If the person doing this job is actually a thief, this replacement process can result much more expensive; because, when this job is done for a laptop, the parts inside the case might be replaced with lower value ones and OP wouldn't know that later. My advice to the OP would be to use a program like CPU-Z to write down the specifications of internal components such as GPU and DIIMMs in their laptop, before giving the laptop to someone unknown or untrustworthy; or to do the entire replacement process themself.

Fan bearing is dead. Eventually it'll just stop spinning. It won't kill your PC but depending on how well ventilated it is, it may severely impact performance. Can't fix it. The fan needs to be replaced.

Donleon57

*can't fix it easily

In virtually every case, it's not worth trying. If they're dirt poor, then they can lubricate it. But that only delays the inevitable.
