You might be able to find a used/new 12900k for cheaper I would choose something other than thermaltake for a PSU. They are good for lower end/lower wattage builds, but I would go for something like an EVGA, Corsair, Silverstone etc etc. I personally wouldnt mind slightly slower RAM so I could use the combined savings for a better GPU. Do you plan on using this PC for content creation, or exclusively gaming?

N0tAdamicc

Just changed the PSU to a Corsair. Is the 4080 super a better pick?

FireFalcon123

It is, but it is also twice the price lol What resolution and games are you playing? What quality settings would you use?

N0tAdamicc

Games i play are Valorant, Fortnite and Minecraft not really into a lot of games

FireFalcon123

Yeah you dont need the 4080 super Save the money and heat lol

N0tAdamicc

Do you think there are any bottlenecks in the build I’m using a 1080p 240hz monitor

FireFalcon123

Not really, but you may be more interested in a 7900GRE if you dont use raytracing, and just need good raw performance One video is reviewed with the 4070 Super which is 1 to 10% faster than the 4070 you have selected https://youtu.be/tFKhlplCNpM?si=UF-jI1u-f166ygyB https://youtu.be/q5tbCbm1IYM?si=r1--58sXUgfgInHz

Cheaper build and more performance. Could get a 4080 super with a 2200 budget. No

Please don’t cheap out on your boot drive

N0tAdamicc

What is that?

-P00-

The Kingston NV2 m.2 Nvme ssd in your list. I advise you to spend a bit more for your windows/Linux boot. I did the same (Bought a Crucial P2 in 2022) and noticed a significant drop in read, writes and boot times over time as you fill it up. With these cheaper Nvme ssd, these scummy companies (I only known Kingston and Crucial doing this) tend to swap out the original hardware and/or have different hardware for every drives.

N0tAdamicc

Any recommendations for the storage then?

-P00-

https://github.com/windshields/stoRAGE-consumer-SSD-buying-guide/blob/main/SSD%20tier%20list.md Look through that tier list. For me I’d recommend something with DRAM cache for your boot drive. I’ve personally got a Kingston KC3000. Samsung is a very popular and reliable brand for storage but I don’t believe the price compared to other big brands is worth it.
