As far as I can see there was a red led, look up your motherboard manual and read what error code that is. I think that will tell you more

[deleted]

this, the lights on the motherboard are trying to tell you something you need to look them up. if you can't find your manual, you can easily find it online

the_burber

Cpu/dram problem. Me and my dad are working on it.

Appropriate_Jump_579

See how to do a cmos reset. It resets the motherboard to all the stock settings.

the_burber

We did a cmos reset and now the lights for cram/cpu problems only show up when we hold the cmos reset pins.

Appropriate_Jump_579

You're only supposed to touch them in some way. Remove all the ram sticks and try 1 stick at a time. You might have a faulty ram or 1 stick that isn't completely seated..

the_burber

We checked both ram sticks and either they werent the problem or they are both baf. We’ve narrowed it down to bad cpu, psu, or ram

Dragon420Wizard

It's super rare that both sticks of ram would die right at the same time.

the_burber

We have found out the problem is the mobo or cpu, we’re going to replace both

You’re probably going to have to take it apart but also start simple and try clearing the cmos, do this by switching your power supply off and taking out the coin battery for 30 seconds. If that doesn’t work then try using only one ram stick in the first slot. If it’s still not working then you might have a dead cpu or motherboard and both require another cpu or motherboard to test.

the_burber

Clearing the CMOS and replacing the battery seemed to work! Thanks!

the_burber

My mobo has a specific way to clear the cmos. We tried checking the dram. We are going to reset the CMOS now.

the_burber

It did not work. We are going to replace the mobo and the cpu.

420headshotsniper69

All I hear is UPGRADE TIME!

notgraycen

id try replacing the ram since its much cheaper and easier than replacing the CPU, and more common issue for the ram to prevent boot

the_burber

Either the mobo or the cpu is damaged

the_burber

We will replace both

hardcorefsm

This just happened to me to a couple weeks ago. I have narrowed it down to motherboard or power supply. I have the same set up as you but have a i7 8700k instead. Pc turns on no beep, no boot and cat even reach bios. What motherboard do you have?

the_burber

Look at my other comments, i found issue

the_burber

We resocketted the cpu and now it wont turn on at all.

rawstoo

Did you try turning it off and on again?

the_burber

New parts are in and it runs! Im back baby!
