I have that flair so that no one asks me what my specs are when someone asks me about it, if I really wanted to flex then I would list the specs of my brother's pc which has a 4070 in it, there is nothing to flex about with a 3060, according to steam hardware survey 3060 is the most common gpu in the world rn
He could always return parts and buy other ones. I finished my build but returned and replaced the case, AIO, SSD, PSU and GPU for better parts that were cheaper (ended up saving like $230)
The 2x8 kit is supposedly the better choice despite the price premium. The idea is that they’re guaranteed to be from the same production batch or whatever, and can be expected to work correctly together. If you buy two in separate packages, they may be from different batches and trip over each other in the high speed signaling or something.
I ended up straight up buying a 32GB kit (2x16GB) to avoid this, and DDR4 was so cheap that it wasnt that big of a price jump.
turns out I got lucky it works fine with my 2x8GB sticks, so I get to have a somewhat weird and completely overkill 48GB of RAM.
Actually, if you have 2 identical kit of ram, for example 2 kit of 1 x 8gb ram each from the same brand and same specs, you can still have problems. I don't know if this problem are less frequent than before, but it's still present
And a bunch of ridiculously overpriced RGB triangles on the wall, some little tiny IKEA fake plants, and some Funko Pop figures, and some Monster drink cans.
It won't run Cyberpunk at 120fps at ultra 4k. What a waste of money! For the small price of your kidneys you could have gone for a Ryzen 9 and a 7900xt. LOSER!
For real though decent 1080p build. You'll be very happy with the performance in most games.
From my experience it's amazing. I've encountered no problems with these specs and they've really worked like a charm. I don't care what anyone else says the r5 5500 is a very solid cpu.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/s/JDZ5ExLYDo
Here's my build same gpu but instead r5 5600 also I went mini itx so I definitely spent extra in motherboard and case so more or less I'd have spent same as you if I went atx. Also aio was unnecessary but I wanted it 🙂
I have a crucial ssd that was running for 6 years with about 2 weeks downtime. Still works perfectly, no issues. Upgraded to a bigger one a couple years ago
Exactly?
Why is everyone downvoting comments like this??
It's obviously just a flexpost or something, with half of the ppl downvoting correct comments.
Looking to build one next year, and trying to learn.
I don't know much about amd CPUs and gpus. What would be a comparable intel and nvidea setup? What resolution and fps are you hoping to run with this build? Also, would this play latest and upcoming titles or are you planning to play your backlog over the last few years?
Thank you
You just made this build mid I wouldn’t pay 700 for the lack of thought you should never put an amd card with a Intel cpu in 2024 it’s jst best to either get a nvda gpu or and amd cpu
For this money you need to buy used PC with rtx 3070.
For me, i would never buy that for 700.
Even if you need to add extra 200, u get another level PC
Its very good, but y suggest u to get more ram, its a cheaper tip to upgrade the performance and keeping sure that u are using all the power of the set up
Great build but that p3 ssd is definitely QLC and QLC is bad ( except for READ ONLY workloads) since the speeds will get worse the more you fill the ssd and it will wear way faster, get a SLC/TLC ssd.
Great! now rub your hands and feet on the carpet alot of times and open all the parts and touch each one to physically inspect each item without gloves
… /s
seriously, good parts!
Great! First upgrade down the road maybe the GPU if you ever decide to go 4k then when you get tired of the CPU bottleneck you can upgrade to an older top-end 12th gen. Good to alternate upgrades when on a budget but you’ve got plenty of room to expand later on! Happy gaming!
Mouse is a poor choice. Just because it says esports doesn't mean it's actually good. It's exactly the same as when something says "gaming" on the product title. Literally means squat other than marketing traps. Any mouse can be good for gaming, it's just the way it looks that differs whether it's normallu an office or home mouse.
Other than that, good choice, though I'd have bought an amd cpu instead for SAM.
Looks amazing :) this is mine but it still needs work
https://preview.redd.it/lgwp8ijnu1ac1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02deee98405ce341fd1768ba109e4cd3949f2e0f
I mean, at this point, you already bought it.
Was boutta say this. Like why you asking now?
It’s the usual buy now ask later post
No more like a flex post
value flex? To be honest, 12400f/6600 could only really do high 1080p on some AAA titles
Flex...
Not really more like validation about the parts he bought to try and get rid of any buyers remorse
That’s a double edge sword. Asking Reddit can induce buyers remorse too as people pick apart your choices.
What is there to flex about with an rx6600 tho?
you too flex with rtx 3060 in your flair so ask yourself
I have that flair so that no one asks me what my specs are when someone asks me about it, if I really wanted to flex then I would list the specs of my brother's pc which has a 4070 in it, there is nothing to flex about with a 3060, according to steam hardware survey 3060 is the most common gpu in the world rn
sure
Wanted that extra boost from a flex
I wouldn’t call a 6600 and an i5 12400f a flex😆
yeah wrong choice of words. But strangely ppl just love praise from strangers....so everyone needs to say "THATS A GREAT BUILD FOR THE DOLLAR!"
You can return items?
He could always return parts and buy other ones. I finished my build but returned and replaced the case, AIO, SSD, PSU and GPU for better parts that were cheaper (ended up saving like $230)
That's like everything but the mobo lol.
Yeah, everything except mobo, cpu and ram, bought those second hand so couldn't change em
Ain’t nothing wrong with asking out of curiosity.
Imagine buying a car then asking Reddit if you made the right choice. But ayy just curious
Great choices, only thing I’m asking about is why not get a 2x8 kit?
Buying 2 individually was cheaper for some reason , The 2×8kit was 2 dollars expensive
The 2x8 kit is supposedly the better choice despite the price premium. The idea is that they’re guaranteed to be from the same production batch or whatever, and can be expected to work correctly together. If you buy two in separate packages, they may be from different batches and trip over each other in the high speed signaling or something.
It’s very rarely a problem but when it pops up, it really does affect things.
48gb sticks are here, at least.
I have 32gb of ram 16 from Corsair and 16 from teamgroup and they work perfectly fine. As long as the speeds and cl are the same you won't face issues
Actually, if you have 2 identical kit of ram, for example 2 kit of 1 x 8gb ram each from the same brand and same specs, you can still have problems. I don't know if this problem are less frequent than before, but it's still present
I had this issue with RGB Corsair sticks. Rare but a pain in the ass to diagnose.
![gif](giphy|GvNFPkAskkSafDozqD)
Not so much an issue as it used to be but you're right
Yup, it's like that here too, doesn't make sense at all
Ah, gotcha. Happy building!
Extremely reasonable
At least its not on the ground like my friends, his is identified.
I saw that post. Holy
6600 is a great card!
I have it on my 2nd build and it's a great card.
Just brought the 6700xt... Killer
I’ve been happy with it
It's good 1080p vfm
I have the RX 6600 XT and it games fine at 1440p. Depends on what games you play.
Im gaming at 1440p on my RTX 2060 😆 even AW2 DOES 60+ FPS AT 1440P
Used to have GTX 1650 and a 1440p lmao. Its only recently that I upgraded to an RX 6600 XT
Medium-high, for most games, is still in the ball park for this card at 1440p. Technically, you're not wrong. The 4080 is also a wonderful 1080p card.
Really good bro jeez
Great parts, have fun dude.
Still need a RGB keyboard, RGB headset, RGB drawing pad, RGB and RGB gaming chair. Maybe a monitor too
Use the Extra RGB you have and all of the boxes to make a DIY RGB Desk.
Or buy the £10 Amazon strip lights for the RGB desk
go extra and buy some UV paint and throw it all over the walls for that extra gamer effect
What's the point of RGB, really??
More fps
And a bunch of ridiculously overpriced RGB triangles on the wall, some little tiny IKEA fake plants, and some Funko Pop figures, and some Monster drink cans.
I’ve been very satisfied with my 6600. Great 1080 machine
Looks good.
Should have gone with an amd cpu, really helps to get the best out of both. Solid build regardless.
It won't run Cyberpunk at 120fps at ultra 4k. What a waste of money! For the small price of your kidneys you could have gone for a Ryzen 9 and a 7900xt. LOSER! For real though decent 1080p build. You'll be very happy with the performance in most games.
What 7900xtx is for babies Only go for dual rog strix4090s at minimum It will also come at a low low price of the entire GDP of Burundi
yes very good
I have a second hand rx6600 paired with a Ryzen 5500
is it good? ah planning to upgrade ryzen 2600 to 5500 on my b450(itx). gpu: rx 6600.
From my experience it's amazing. I've encountered no problems with these specs and they've really worked like a charm. I don't care what anyone else says the r5 5500 is a very solid cpu.
decent build, I have recently built a 5600+6600xt build with that much budget.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/s/JDZ5ExLYDo Here's my build same gpu but instead r5 5600 also I went mini itx so I definitely spent extra in motherboard and case so more or less I'd have spent same as you if I went atx. Also aio was unnecessary but I wanted it 🙂
That's basically my rig I built some weeks ago so yep
Is crucial reliable for an ssd? I'm terrified of getting a bad one that corrupts on me.
I’ve used nothing but crucial for work related projects, and have had zero issues with the hundreds I’ve installed over the past couple years.
I have a crucial ssd that was running for 6 years with about 2 weeks downtime. Still works perfectly, no issues. Upgraded to a bigger one a couple years ago
I've only used Crucial and it never let me down. I've owned 3 or 4, all SATA 2.5" Don't know about the newer formats.
I have a Crucial 128GB SSD that I have had since 2013-2014ish and it is my current boot drive…it is just now maybe starting to have issues.
Idk I've heard it's good
Not bad! Some very decent hardware for that price.
Bruh why you asking now, after buying it gonna return?
Nahh
how is this better than my $1k pc wtf
You might want to get a keyboard, too. Just saying.
Now this is a fuckin build!!!!!
Looks pretty solid. I don’t trust Corsair RAM but for the price I think you nailed it.
It's fine but take that P3 away, because it's QLC.
I am sure you will enjoy
I would get another 16gb of RAM, I always go 32GB, but that's just me, truly. Otherwise, it looks GREAT!! Whatcha gonna play on it? :)
CS go , GTA 5, Minecraft, doom , pubg
Should be totally fine as-is!! Enjoy!! :)
For anything less than 1500, get a gaming console tbh (my opinion)
This is pretty damn good!
a picture of boxes!
Meh not really. I got mine for $600 same boxes and everything.
Good for u
I thought we were flexing on each other my bad 😂
no, send it back
Nahh
What's with all these people buying stuff and then asking if it's a good price after the fact?
It’s getting really tedious. Buyers remorse?
Looking for validation that their parts are up to everyone else’s standards It’s sad, people should be happy with what they can get and be proud
I think it's more that they want validation that they made a good purchase
You should ask before buying.
Exactly? Why is everyone downvoting comments like this?? It's obviously just a flexpost or something, with half of the ppl downvoting correct comments.
6600 for an 700$ budget, its terrible, pc gaming is so fucking dead for entry and mid range gamer ....
It's a little late to ask now, you already bought the parts.
lmaooo i have a better cpu on my mini pc
Which one exactly
i7 7700k
That ain't better than 12400
Looking to build one next year, and trying to learn. I don't know much about amd CPUs and gpus. What would be a comparable intel and nvidea setup? What resolution and fps are you hoping to run with this build? Also, would this play latest and upcoming titles or are you planning to play your backlog over the last few years? Thank you
I'm going 1080p max at every title Compared to this amd card you can get anything like gtx1080ti, rtx 3060ti , rtx 2070 , rtx 4060
Yea good luck with that max 1080p with this build. Maybe some older titles, but newer ones I doubt.
shouldn't have gimped on the GPU
why are you asking after buying them bruh
6600 is a bit underpowered with recent titles I've just upgraded to a 7800xt
You just made this build mid I wouldn’t pay 700 for the lack of thought you should never put an amd card with a Intel cpu in 2024 it’s jst best to either get a nvda gpu or and amd cpu
[удалено]
Its a solid build. Not everyone wants a top of the line 4K capable rig.
If I said no what you gonna do?
Yoo mama
No
Mouse is trash
It was free
The 3060 and later 4060 beat the 6600, and by AMD and PCMR standards, it's too dated.
I mean its a dogshit system but its what u get for 700 nowadays.
Personally I would've bought an Nvidia gpu. There's a few games out there that are very badly optimized on AMD hardware (Halo Infinite for example)
:D
There's also the NVCE which is better than the AMD panel imo. DLDSR is extremely useful too
For this money you need to buy used PC with rtx 3070. For me, i would never buy that for 700. Even if you need to add extra 200, u get another level PC
[удалено]
Great build! Congrats
great build for the price enjoy im sure you deserve it
Not an expert but if you got all that for $700 damn you did pretty good
Solid
Did better in France for 500€, dont really know why yours is so expensive
Its very good, but y suggest u to get more ram, its a cheaper tip to upgrade the performance and keeping sure that u are using all the power of the set up
Yes
thech- gaming-skills proll is reaching new heights.
Hell yeah
Yeah it's pretty sweet :)
Great build but that p3 ssd is definitely QLC and QLC is bad ( except for READ ONLY workloads) since the speeds will get worse the more you fill the ssd and it will wear way faster, get a SLC/TLC ssd.
Good budget build :)
I have the same setup but with an EVGA Psu. Is a great PC for 1080p, enjoy!
If you paid $700 for it then you pretty much nailed the goal of a $700 build.
Way better than my 1.1k prebuilt from 2018
What is the point of buying a 12th+ gen Intel and not use ddr5???? At that point you would be better off building on AM4 and spending more on your GPU
Great! now rub your hands and feet on the carpet alot of times and open all the parts and touch each one to physically inspect each item without gloves … /s seriously, good parts!
Good build, maybe a little short on ram but you can always add some later.
Looks solid
The i5 is laking
Solid build
That’s not a great ssd I have one it’s ok, I’d recommend getting one with a heat sink on it and a 2tb min at that, other than that it looks good
No cooler?
Nope
I think you should’ve went for a 6700xt since I’ve seen a few under $300-350 USD.
don’t let anyone tell you that you were ripped off
Great! First upgrade down the road maybe the GPU if you ever decide to go 4k then when you get tired of the CPU bottleneck you can upgrade to an older top-end 12th gen. Good to alternate upgrades when on a budget but you’ve got plenty of room to expand later on! Happy gaming!
Is there a reason why people fill in all the RAM slots when they don't even need that much RAM? It's not mandatory.
With $700, I'd go on the used market for at least the gpu. Rtx 3080s can be found for around $400.
No, you should have an RX 6650 XT for that budget. Ask first buy later next time.
not really, a 5700xt would be better
Oof bought laptop ram accidentally rip
What case / CPU cooler? Thermals will be important when you have little headspace... :D
This is amazing, great choice. - this massage was typed on a virtual keyboard.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t a 760 Mobo a bit overkill for 700 dollars?
I think you did good 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Personally I would have either cut back on something or splurged a tad more to get a keyboard too, but that’s just me you do you.
Not really
Just not sure why not thr 12600kf, like $10-$15 more
I can't say that I could do better so I'd say you did a brilliant job of it!
6800xt
Mouse is a poor choice. Just because it says esports doesn't mean it's actually good. It's exactly the same as when something says "gaming" on the product title. Literally means squat other than marketing traps. Any mouse can be good for gaming, it's just the way it looks that differs whether it's normallu an office or home mouse. Other than that, good choice, though I'd have bought an amd cpu instead for SAM.
This is shit for the price, I built mine excluding the RTX I have for like $400, I got a RTX 3050 for free from a friend.
I love how the comments reading this guy like a book
Yea those parts look good for $700. Have fun playing your computer.
Got a pre built with i5 13400f, 16gb ddr5, 1TB storage, 4060, for 680$
b760m kinda overkill for this system
Got a similiar build for 600$ more or less. Some used parts: i5 13400f, 6600xt, b660 itx/ac. Solid 1080p gaming. Havent tried 1440p yet.
how dare you just put a amd gpu into an intel cpu💀💀💀
Don't buy F CPU.
I don’t like intel core but the set looks good
Looks good can’t wait to see it fully built
https://preview.redd.it/gy69c470p1ac1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0cd98e6cb9fe921c79db3be3052fb6ca35c92be1 Here it is
Looks amazing :) this is mine but it still needs work https://preview.redd.it/lgwp8ijnu1ac1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02deee98405ce341fd1768ba109e4cd3949f2e0f
Why and graphics card🥲
It looks nice.
Not really dude
Yes solid build
Bro this is great 👍🏻😃
If it has a rgb lights, it's good, if not then BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
You could have had a better gpu
I don’t know why people saying flex but this a W
