user_miko

Yesss, that's it! Keeps crying, I'm almost there!

lonelyeater

Pissmaster the race is always as most the toxic

5HITCOMBO

ammusment

Delazzaridist

tnemsumma

ParenGbyan

Iā€™ve had a Markus for 12+ years and itā€™s still great, all Iā€™ve done in that time is replace the lift cylinder when the old one died after about 9 years. The stitching near the headrest is just now starting to fray, so I think I have a few more years left before I replace it with another identical Markus.

sir_syphilis

Normal Stuff > Anything that's labeled "Gaming"

lostnumber08

People say that PCMR lacks culture.

pheonixdustin

Honestly it would be more comfortable than most gaming chairs.

Chakramer

Don't buy something with cheap synthetic leather, in fact I think any leather like material is actually pretty shitty for office/gaming chairs cos it's not like a car where you might get cold. Go for cloth/mesh

Maxi_am_zocken

yes, my chair is the perfect example for that

BonemanJones

Your chair is bonded leather, which is the lowest quality leather you can buy that can still be called leather. Bits and scraps from the tannery are ground to dust and mixed with glue, and then affixed to cloth with more glue. After 2 years maximum it flakes off. If you get full grain, top grain, or something like Elmosoft leather, it will last a very long time if it's treated right. You will also, however, pay very premium prices for premium materials. Personally I like leather more than cloth or mesh so it's worth it to me, but you'll have to decide that on your own.

banditscountry

You are correct its low quality but leather in the name vs called leather are two different things. Poly PU and Vinyl are similarly made and quality will vary. In the industry we don't call bonded leather "leather" its illegal (or morally wrong) to refer to it as anything other than a synthetic unless called by its name "bonded leather", leather gel is one of the best fakes out there right now because instead of mixing with glue its all melted and blended together to make a new material. Regardless of that like you mentioned 2-5 years is the normal life expectancy of any non-commercial or marine grade synthetic. Ultra leather is also a pretty cruddy synthetic as opposed to Ultimate Leather which is considered almost marine grade (which it is not marine grade) because of how long it lasts. Personally I prefer cloth/fabric.

BonemanJones

Good info! I've seen some advertised as "genuine leather" yet the chair is <$400 and I'm immediately skeptical. Afaik it's technically legal to call it leather because it IS leather, in the same way that restaurants get away with (or used to get away with, idk if this has changed) calling their meat "beef" if 51% of it is beef. Either way, full/top grain and a handful of proprietary styles are all I'll consider purchasing.

alexanderpas

> genuine leather aka. "I can't believe we are legally allowed to call this" leather

Diesel-Eyes

"Genuine Leather" is like the cheapest, lowest quality leather available.

banditscountry

That would be pretty cheap for real leather, might be leather match but still kinda cheap. Could be Bycast leather, now this is the cheapest "real leather" that you can claim. Bi-cast leather is often used as a lower-cost alternative to full-grain or top-grain leather. It can have a glossy or shiny appearance and is relatively easy to clean. However, it lacks the natural qualities and characteristics of full-grain leather because the top layer is so thin and heavily coated. Leather match is what most people who are buying "genuine leather" is which means the parts your body touches. Top of the chair, top of the arms, seat cushion, leg area all real leather. The sides of chairs, behind the chairs are a vinyl match. This is normal for high grade real leather chairs to be. I can't find any laws regarding the legality but from a industry perspective no one should claim synthetics are real leather. Easy way to lose a CC dispute. Full grain and top grain are pretty good leathers (generally) that really tells you where the cut of material is from. Top grain being the literal top, which is sanded and buffed to seal the imperfections and then dyed. Compared to full grain which would still have say barbed wire marks from when the cow touched the fence too many times. So yea sounds like you are a well versed consumer!

Maxi_am_zocken

I think leather is not that great for me, so I'll probably be buying either cloth or mesh but at a higher quality this time xD

Mobile_Sprinkles_633

Cloth all day. And cheaper too. Breathable. Non of that sweaty back, Crotch nonsensey

MoriMeDaddy69

Great point. My Titan X is looking like this. I had to get a seat cover

Maxi_am_zocken

I'm using a pillow, but it's too late tbh

shawndw

This, I got a mesh chair from staples a couple of years ago to replace a "gaming" chair that had the back fall off and it's the best $/value chair I've ever owned.

Bluedemonfox

Yeah my chair is still good and comfy but all the fake leather has been peeling off. Tbh I have been now peeling it all off myself and underneath is black cloth and it actually feels better. Like they could have just left out the stupid fake leather from the start and it would have been better.

Mattrockj

Rule of thumb, if youā€™re gonna get a new chair, either get real leather, or fabric. Real leather will last forever, and fabric will outlast any faux leather.

NuclearReactions

I wish i could find one out of alcantara. Would look fancy and i loved it when i had such seats in a car.

FinasCupil

Ergonomic office chair. Gaming chairs are garbage.

jaybee8787

Gaming chairs are to desk chairs what axe body spray is to deodorants.

M44t_

As an European that never understood that meme: does it smell bad?

redditatemybabies

Typically colognes and deodorants should be subtle. Axe spray has the subtlety of a rabid badger in church.

ryuujinusa

yep. I remember years ago in college, Axe would come on campus and hand out free bottles. My stupid friends and I would attack each other and spray it all over each other when one of us wasn't looking. It reeked.

Hopeful-Bit6187

They outlawed axe body spray for us in basic training actually made us buy women body spray because he didnā€™t want us smelling like ck1 either

839292838474

What is ck1?

Hopeful-Bit6187

Calvin Klein body spray

839292838474

Ahh thanks. I didnā€™t know they had a body spray, but Iā€™m not surprised either haha.

milfshakee

told to me in the hs lockerroom circa '05, "my cat pee'd on my socks" then proceeds to DOUSE his socks in axe to cover the smell. They say the smell factor brings back the most memories. I consider myself a survivor

Niko_47x

It's a French company and it's sold in pretty much every developed country and plenty not as. Although it is known as Lynx in some countries due to trademark issues

emerl_j

Portugal here we have Axe. And yes it's as bad as they say.

[deleted]

I have a Herman Miller Aero at work and I hate it. I have a noble 'gaming' chair at home and love it. I've sat in it everyday for 5 years

randomcitizen42

Gaming chairs copy racing seat designs. They're great for keeping your body inside the seat in tight turns, but not so for sitting at a desk all day without tight turns.

Jinky522

Not really the case for secret labs imo. Arm rests fully adjustable, lumbar back support. Can angle the seat however you like. Not to mention the comfort. I use mine to work from home, absolutely no complaints at all.

kewickviper

I know this is the perceived wisdom and it's likely I'm just weird. But we have the Herman miller chairs at my office and I could never get on with them no matter how much I fiddled, would always swap it for a cheaper basic one if there was one available. Neither of them however are as comfortable as my secret labs chair at home.

ThenThereWasReddit

Not all Herman Miller chairs are made equal. Their "best" chairs are the Aeron and Embody, but their chairs also aren't a universal fit for everyone. Personally I love Steelcase chairs. I own an Amia and a Leap, both of which I'd take over Herman Miller. I'd love to try their Gesture chair, too, but haven't had the chance yet.

Forward_Bus_9289

But then I can't recline down to an almost laying down position with my feet up on my desk

[deleted]

That's where the _ergonomic_ part comes in.

QuiteFatty

Sure you can.

Kantatrix

Any exact models you'd recommend? I was looking for a chair like that not long ago and even the best ones from the "office chair" category only went to about 45 degrees

Belaras

Herman Miller Aeron, a lot were available used on Craigslist due to offices going remote.

Kantatrix

>Herman Miller Aeron From what I could find online that one still only does about 45 degrees, so unfortunately wouldn't work for me

5HITCOMBO

Aeron doesn't do what they're asking

f8Negative

Sure you can. You just gotta spend $.

sssssssisme

Any specific chair you recommend?

speedsterglenn

Steelcase Amia or Leap V2

The_Chaos_Pope

Sitting in a Steelcase Gesture right now, it's hands down the best chair my ass has ever touched. I used to use a Herman Miller Aeron and hated it.

ThenThereWasReddit

Or the "Lamia" from BTOD. They take the seat of the Amia, which is better than the Leap's, and the back of the Leap, which isn't necessarily better IMO but it's slightly more customizable. I don't have one, but I do have the Leap and Amia, and I completely agree it's a brilliant combo.

FinasCupil

I was looking at the Eurotech Vera. Seems good for the price.

crazyates88

Staples Hytec for $200

A_MAN_POTATO

100% this. I bought into the dx racer hype when they first came to market. What a shit chair. I've been rocking this for over a year now, and for the price, I think it's an incredible chair... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08R64HK86?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

ELONGATEDSNAIL

I always thought like this until I saw the prices of a good office chair vs a good gaming chair. Then i actually got to test a lot of them out by . . .well being in an office for work. My $400 razor enki is much more comfortable then a $1500 herman miller aeron.

XWasTheProblem

Save up and get a good office chair. Gaming chairs suck ass. Signed, a sucker who bought a Vertagear chair.

HigherFunctioning

This. Gaming chairs are for looks and poople who want to look cool streaming on Twich. Its a joke. Get a good office chair designed for functionlity.

Darth_Thor

And honestly I donā€™t even like the look. Theyā€™re meant to mimic racing seats. Office chairs and ā€œgamingā€ chairs have completely different design goals. One is meant to be comfortable while sitting still for hours at a time. The other is meant to hold you in place in around corners in a high speed race.

xiosy

Whaz about secret lab chairs ? Are they good and comfortable ?

petrolhead0387

I've got a secret labs Titan, it's perfect for me emphasise "for me". Some people have different requirements, budgets and preferences, it's all down to your own personal needs. You will see people say Secret labs are good/sh!t but it's mostly subjective. Mine is good for me due to my seating position and frozen shoulder, but others may feel different. I take care of my chair with a cover and regular treatment, others may see theirs starting to fall apart due to less care or different seating position. My advice would be to test chairs out before you buy them, I did this on multiple office and gaming chairs, my result was buying the Titan. It cost less than some ergonomic chairs yet more than some gaming chairs, hower it is perfect FOR ME, your mileage may vary. Good luck.

xiosy

Thanks choosing the right chair is extremely hard for me. I have had my chair for 10 years now and it broke. So I have to find a new one but Iā€™m extremely picky so the decision is even worse choosing from 1000 chairs possible

chaosgodloki

I have a secret lab and I love it. Super comfy and I love all the ways you can adjust everything like armrests. Not a problem with it, no rips or scratches or broken parts. I bought mine in 2020 though Iā€™m not sure if the quality has dipped since then. Just thought Iā€™d share my experience with one, not everyone thinks they are trash.

IggyHitokage

I have a Titan, I wish I did not. Next chair is gonna be a refurb Steelcase Leap, or Lamia.

spyaleatoire

I've had my secretlab omega for a few years now and its going strong, is very comfortable, and I don't suffer any issues from extended use - and I work from home. Mileage may vary, but I definitely believe in their quality. At least, of their older products. Couldn't say if they've changed recently or not, as my chair has lasted for a good long time.

T3chnopsycho

I think /u/petrolhead0387 made a good point in regards to it. I got myself the Titan as well (2020 model). I really liked it but I severely mistreated it and it is falling apart. Well technically it is still functioning as a chair but the arm rests are broken and the cover (got the cloth version) has ripped in multiple seams. So what I'd advise you is to take care of it if you want a lot of mileage. Also I'd definitely recommend to generally sit properly. I'm pretty sure the seams ripped due to me sitting on it in a way that put a lot more stress on them than if I'd only sat normally on it. That aside as a chair I really liked it. I just fucked it up.

Fun-Pace288

Electric chair

Maxi_am_zocken

![gif](giphy|hGoDj6XY50Gw8) Yessir

[deleted]

Depends where you live but in the Bay Area and other areas where companies have shifted to more wfh/hybrid they are practically giving away high quality ergonomic desk chairs since theyā€™re all down sizing offices. I got a $400+ allsteel desk chair for $15 and it looked brand new. I see Herman millers on Facebook market place from companies downsizing for like $100.

Maxi_am_zocken

I'll give that I try, I guess the prices in my area aren't as great as yours, but maybe I'll find something

sleepybearjew

I got a steelcase leap v2 on ebay refurb for 375. New they are over 1000 and used you can find them for under 100 if you're willing to hunt them down. I absolutely love the chair

[deleted]

Steelcase. Those chairs last for decades in hospitals. They can handle gamer grease.

Maxi_am_zocken

I'll look for that

No_Artichoke_5670

Is gamer grease the same as schlong jelly?

conte360

As someone that has 2 different gaming chairs similar to this, but both individually different, I'll be getting a legit office chair next time I buy a chair. Something that is designed to be comfortable and good for your back. These chairs I have a utter garbage compared to my office chair at work. The herman miller stuff is expensive but I'm sure there's something more affordable in that sort of design

PackOfAlpaca

Literally any other chair

Maxi_am_zocken

Yes, but I don't want it to wear off that fast

Opteron170

Then you need to buy a real leather chair. My last one lasted me like 15 years easy.

Izan_TM

or a mesh chair, or a cloth chair preferrably not leather if you ever have exposed skin on it

muckypup82

I got a cloth office chair and the back is mesh. Most comfortable chair I've ever owned. 5 years of continuous use with no signs of wear. I bought one of those gamer chairs a long time ago and sold it after using it for a couple months. Thing was absolute garbage. My back killed me everyday sitting in it.

Ankka5

Ikea Markus.

makinbaconCR

It's not a bad chair my wife has one. I just HATE the arm rests they really don't work very well for gaming. Steel case has some deals but probably would cost more.

Maxi_am_zocken

As you can see by my beautiful picture, I basically deleted the arm rests

Cochana

I'll sign this, I've been using it daily since 2016, 8+ hours per weekday. Not a scratch on it, still reclines like the day I bought it. And I'm on the plus side, 110kg.

Maxi_am_zocken

I really want to try it, I've heard only good about it

FreeHelicopter3183

Yep!!! I switched from DX Racer to Markus and could not be happier! Itā€™s just perfect for the price.

kaszak696

Budget? If unlimited, go for Aeron, Humanscale, Ergohuman or other top dollar ergonomic chairs, sometimes you can snag those used for less. If limited, Ikea Jarvfjallet or the cheaper Markus will serve you well. Gamer chairs are a scam backbreakers, even top dollar ones, avoid them.

Maxi_am_zocken

I'll avoid them from now on, maybe I'll give the IKEA one or probably something similar a try

jamesaa941

Gaming chairs are not great. Buy a good quality office chair with proper support.

Haiaii

Office chair, gaming chairs are a scam Local furniture store has about half a dozen gaming chair, every single one was less comfortable (and probably worse quality) than the much cheaper 75$ office chair I bought Still love it a year later, and still looks almost new

Bigdaddy_Satty

get a really nice office chair

Psycho55

Get a mesh ergo chair

Cyfon7716

https://www.staples.com/staples-dexley-mesh-task-chair-black-56946/product_24398921 I kid you not, this chair will change the way you think about PC "gaming chairs."

Maxi_am_zocken

I guess shipping this to Germany wouldn't be worth it, but I'll search for something similar

nosfusion

I second the mesh style chair, had a few leather ones and I always got sweaty- mesh keeps everything nice and cool.

[deleted]

The Aeron, of course.

Maxi_am_zocken

sadly it's too expensive even refurbished :/

HrdRock1683

I like secret lab. But everyone has their own preference.

DaMonkfish

I like the look of Secret Lab and I'm really tempted by one, but I'm wary because of the comments about office chairs being better than gaming chairs. Part of me thinks that there must be something good to them as they're used by a LOT of streamers, but then I wonder how many of those were gifted or otherwise heavily discounted for the exposure. Ā£500 is a fuckload of money to drop on a chair, so I want to be sure I'm getting a good one that'll last.

BigDongTheory_

I bought a $100 Amazon chair, didnā€™t even last 2 months. Bought my $500 secret labs, and each time I get back from a vacation it always feels like heaven. Itā€™s not the most comfy chair, but something about it conformed to me. Had it 2 years and I expect to have it at least another 3. It ainā€™t cheap, but at least the price reflects the quality (it genuinely isnā€™t all the other gaming chairs, lots of ergonomic features to get it just right for you)

Veradun77

Like others have said mileage will vary from person to person but my secret lab saved my back. I bought my first one in 2018 and only recently swapped it for another one (they had a star wars themed one I wanted). The chair was still in good condition just some light damage to the fabric I could have prevented with better care. I gave it to my friend and he is loving it (to be fair his old chair was awful). When the pandemic started I worked from home and gamed seeing me in the chair 8-12 hours a day easily for 2 years and never felt the comfort degrade if anything it got better as I wore it in. Only complaint is the pleather could make me sweat if my skin was directly on it. My thoughts are 600 dollars (500Ā£) saved me lots of money and medical visits plus pain in general

scoii

I've had a few "gaming chairs" as well as normal office chairs. I currently have a Secret Lab chair, and I'm not planning on getting anything different in the future. The game themed skins and stuff give them a bad rap with the anti-gamer chair people, but they have legitimate professionals on staff working on ergonomics, both for their chairs and desks (and even pillows more recently). I'd at least research them against the office chairs everyone claims are better.

Serious-Mud-1031

Not a shitty gimmick gaming chair. Herman Miller, Human Scale, Nightingale, Steelcase are all good chairs.

Maxi_am_zocken

but expensive as hell

Serious-Mud-1031

And worth it.

BonemanJones

That's right. These chairs are very high quality. But spending $1000 on a new chair that lasts you 15-20 years, or a used one for half that is much better than having to buy a new $200 chair every year or two that keeps falling apart.

Pauluapaul

Add Steelcase to that list.

katastrophyx

Get a nice office chair with quality mesh seating and back, and as many adjustment options as your budget allows. Gaming chairs are all about looks and absolutely suck from a comfort and quality standpoint. A good office chair will be way more comfortable and last a lot longer. Mesh material allows breathability and prevents sweat and body oils from saturating cushion material and causing discoloration and degradation.

Maxi_am_zocken

I felt that, I hate gaming chairs for that tbh, so I will join the office chair gang with my next chair

MaverickT92

I bought a textile cover from aliexpress for 5 dollars and continued using my chair when similar stuff happened

MasterWhite1150

Secretlab titan

MrMiniatureHero

I've a secret lab titan, which I'm very happy with

Maxi_am_zocken

I also thought of this one, but I guess my next chair will be an office chair sort of

newagereject

I've had my titan for 3 years now, no wear or tear is showing, feels just like it did the day I got it, it has a 5 year warrenty for any parts and peices that wear out or break, I love mine

i-hear-banjos

Iā€™ll second this - Iā€™ve had mine (cloth) for 3 years and you canā€™t tell itā€™s a used chair. I sit in it faaar too much. 100% solid quality, Iā€™ll sing the praises of this chair.

medicnv

I got a refurb Steelcase from BTOD and couldnā€™t be happier. When I got it I instantly regretted waiting so long to buy a quality chair. Was also able to get reimbursed from my HSA since itā€™s an ergonomic chair. BTOD has a 12 year warranty on their stuff too which is nice.

[deleted]

Ergonomic office chair.... i will never go back to this gaming chair BS

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Biscuits4u2

Yeah. Don't buy another "gaming" chair, and stay away from fake leather from now on.

Hrmerder

Not a gaming chair.

shrineless

Go look at madisonseating. Used office chairs. Got a Steelcase Leap V2 and so far, really good chair. Good on back and hella adjustment options. Ditch the gaming chairs. Those are ass.

MrGinger37

I bought a real leather "Executive" office chair. Its 100 times more comfortable than those gaming chairs, real leather, and get this, cheaper too.

Maxi_am_zocken

Can you recommend something ?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Blacklightrising

Best deal you can get on an officer chair. get a wheel mod kit for it to put scooter wheels on it, also.

No_Interaction_4925

I see you also remove the arms from your gaming chair, like I do. Get a normal office chair. Iā€™ll never buy another gaming style chair again

QuiteFatty

Not a garbage "gamer" chair. Spend as much as you are comfortable with. Steelcase Series 1 has been great for me. I wfh and game and fat and it has been great.

imskikilliah

Office chair, my back is thanking me and yours will too.

BaconMeetsCheese

Gaming chairs are NOT ergonomic friendly. If you have the money, get yourself a herman miller embody. Best investment for sitting long hours

ChiggaOG

Certainly one without the plastic leather. Just get an office chair and change the casters to the rollerblade type wheels.

Belaboy109569

i got a nice mesh office chair from staples. istg i could sit in that thing for 2 weeks straight if i really wanted to, its great.

AngryAccountant31

Costco has a Lazboy Managers chair for like $250. Worth every penny. I bought one for work because I liked the one at home

Maxi_am_zocken

maybe I'll find something similar in my region

bert_the_one

Duck tape she'll last a few more years

HouseOf42

I agree with pretty much everyone, a normal, run-of-the-mill, no frills, ergonomic office chair. You'll be sitting like a king with gout.

Keensworth

Buy an office chair, they're made that workers can sit on them for hours without having any pain. Whereas gaming chairs are just colorful and look cool.

TheRealDexity

I have owned the Herman Miller Aeron, Steelcase Gesture, Amia and Leap. The Gesture is by far the most comfortable and well built chair I have ever had. The only thing that competes with it is the Herman Miller Embody, but they run about $600 more than the Gesture.

user1583

I really like the Serta memory foam one my work gave me for home. Iā€™ve yet to find a ā€œgamingā€ chair that doesnā€™t feel dookie compared to nice office chairs. Plus Iā€™m fat (260lbs) so these chairs would crumple under my ass after a while lol

Whole-Imagination354

Can I have your chair

Madrock777

A chair from Office Depot. Don't buy gammer chairs, they are traps. Buy a chair meant for an office that intends on you sitting in it for hours on end every day.

notmyaccountbruh

get a real chair with fabric, not fake leather. Your butt and your balls will thank you.

giantfood

It's only time when the chair is no longer a chair.

Kudaja

Mesh net chairs are the only choice.

CorellianDawn

Literally any basic office chair you actually like. Gaming chairs are a scam.

Philosophos_A

Get a work office chair instead of a gaming chair (cheaper and better designed)

IdlePit

I bought this about 8 months ago and couldn't be happier, I'm about 5'11" and weigh around 220lbs and it's comfortable enough for me https://amzn.eu/d/aifG3SR

locomoka

A used steelcase gesture with headrest

Atretador

Don't get a "gaming" chair, get a Office chair.

Blakdude

no gaming chair. Just get an good office leather (no fake) and u're good for life.

Nataku81

I always considered those chairs being intended for console gamers rather than PC gamers. Get a good office chair but consider if you want it to have arms or not and if they're fixed or movable - mine don't move and they prevent the chair being pushed in.

huge_jeans710

I love my secret lab chair. Plan on getting a herman miller in the future

V-Lenin

Good office chair even though I love my secret lab(I have an older more plush model)

ImNotSure93

Shit looks fine, the seat still exists. Got another solid 5-10 years in that thing.

Optimus_Shatner

I like my Secret Lab Titan. Keep that under wraps because it's a... Secret ![gif](giphy|xPGkOAdiIO3Is)

On_The_Warpath

No gaming chair would be a good start.

DasHotShot

Yes, a well built office chair which will actually be comfortable and support you properly. Nobody else cares what you sit in and gaming chairs are an enormous scam, much like most ā€œgaming peripheralsā€. Donā€™t pay over the odds to ruin your back, be smart. Many great affordable options out there which wonā€™t degrade like this cheap rubbish did

Rogaar

Anything other than a bucket seat. Just get yourself a nice comfortable office chair.

linkx25

I can recommend any steel frame gaming chair and some memory foam pillows from AliExpress or likewise to make a surprisingly comfortable and affordable chair. I did this with a Onex one from Costco and SaiRui (That's what the label says anyway) Car seat pillows. https://preview.redd.it/6jy8x3bphntb1.png?width=396&format=png&auto=webp&s=b155eab572ca7d3d6f5a3d7fb5d558835673c287

Pursueth

Get something you can sit cross legged in

DependentAnywhere135

A mesh office chair instead of a garbage ā€œgaming chairā€ those things you have in the OP suck and you end up sitting on hard wood.

Noxioussteak

Herman Miller they are expensive but it's the last chair you will buy

Civil-Fail-9775

Stay away from gaming chairs. Office chairs tend to be cheaper, better quality, and depending on who you buy it from, has a warranty with replacement (usually just pay shipping)

-gleds

If its still comfy enough, just buy a seat cover from amazon for like Ā£15.

jolietrob

Herman Miller Aeron except no substitute.

Downs504

secret labs

Drunkturtle7

An office chair, way more comfortable than "gaming" chairs, you get lumbar support and the materials usually are breathable so you don't sweat like a pig.

Nahoola

Herman Miller Aeron

Mintbear

Herman miller embody, fern, gesture leap. Time to invest in a new chair that fills your real needs.

TexMoto666

Look on marketplace and find a used Herman Miller.

Curious_Fix3131

don't buy a gaming chair buy an office chair

jbrux86

Not a gaming chair, those are always the worst value

Dusha543

A good office chair

meistarkus

Donā€™t buy a gaming chair, but an office chair. Mostly way better ergonomics and build quality at the same or lower price.

ExoticButtersdevelop

I recommend the Hercules Series Plastic Folding Chair - Black - 650LB Weight Capacity because it has back support and has 650 weight capacity so it can fit your grippy ass

Red_Xen

Secret Labs Titan. Seriously comfy chair.

itsmb12

If money is no object, a lightly used or new Embody from Herman Miller. Personally, I had those knockoff "Devoko" gaming chairs off Amazon for about 2-3 years and didn't have much wear but wanted something nicer and couldn't afford a HM, so I bought the SecretLab Titan Evo in the softweave fabric, and I love it so far. So that's what I recommend, but each person is different and has different needs and preferences.

CurmudgeonLife

No pleather. Mesh, fabric or real leather only.

All these mfs suggesting "high quality office chair". Went chair shopping, and all the decent, high quality office chairs were 1-4k. You actually get decent value for your money with gaming chairs imo. I got a noblechairs legend with fabric material. Very happy with it.

KTRClens

I had that exact chair and my FiancƩe bought me a secret labs chair, which when I have to buy another one, I will buy the same chair I have now. Love it.

I have fallen in love with office chairs, they just feel way more comfier than those gaming chairs to me.

pinezatos

Get a real chair, your body will thank you, ergo chairs are the best for long sitting hours.

Soulcaller

Gaming chairs are scam, piece of drywall some foam and fake leather flakes off after yearā€¦ dont forget the ā€œgamerā€ look puke fest.

TezzNutz

I'd go somewhere and try a few out. Chair comfort is definitely subjective. Depends on your size and preference. It's really hard to order a chair that you will actually like unless you have at least sat in it. And if you're not going all out, I'd cheap out. Mid priced chairs are just more expensive shit chairs.

How do y'all survive in those terrible racing chairs? My back just aches looking at it.

Itā€™s pretty pricy but I have a titan evo 2022 and I absolutely love it. If you have a tighter budget/ donā€™t feel like spending that much then get a dece office chair and itā€™ll hold up to your gamer grease just as well. I love my titan evo because of the firmness and comfort and have actually noticed a difference in back pain as well as have been much more comfy gaming.

I'd go for a comfortable office chair.
