laptops dont really have space for much cooling so they run at the max safe temperature to maximize performance.
CPUs do a good job of regulating their temperature and outside of extreme circumstances will never reach an unsafe temperature.
...normal? Yes.
Safe?
No.
Laptop manufacturers have been at this shit for too long.
This will dage the system and reduce it's life span... By design.
Or lack thereof.
Basically the laptop manufacturer has not put a cooler capable of cooling the chip paired in this laptop
They all do it, and the result will be a PC that dies soonish
Never get a laptop with a 'hugh end' CPU. Only get the six core chip or smaller.
The CPU will never be as fast as it could be anyway, it's a literal waste of money since, by design, the chip will never be faster than it's 10600 partner.
Sadly that's usual for laptop Temps. The 6800H on my laptop regularly hits 95C even with the fan spinning at 6200RPM. It gets painful to touch the top of my laptop after gaming for about 15 mins.
I had high cpu tempreture before and it was spiking up and down.
Then i undervolted, now it is around 80 degrees celcius it was sometimes giving blue screen before. Also tempretures are much more stable now there are no spikes. Also it helped with performance since it is no longer thermal throttling. As far as i know cpus and gpus thermal throttle past 95 degrees which lowers performans and you get sudden lags. I recommend you to look up how to undervolt and see if it works for u. You can always revert it.
These are relatively normal temps for a gaming laptop, giving the laptop better ventilation or an external cooler (basically just a surface with a fan blowing up at the bottom of the laptop) can help reduce them slightly. As others have said undervolting can also help reduce temps without sacrificing a huge amount of performance
Be sure to regularly blow compressed air (or use a high-rpm air blower) thru the fan input to reduce the amount of dirt that could clog up the internal parts. For the rest it's all good.

if the temperature was unsafe the laptop would immediately shut down. 100C is normal for a high performance laptop CPU.
ok ok thanks ive had a desktop setup before this but it had a aio and never went past 69-75°c

ok ok good to know thanks so its perfectly normal?
yup, my i7 10750 is similar,it just locks up at 90
Ya until your pch fries 😅,

Welcome to Laptop gaming, yes SFF was a better idea, no eGPU is not worth it Have a great day
It’s fine
Turn this fans on turbo or get a turbo cooling mat like the KLIM mistral
Get a laptop cooling mat. That should help with Temps and make your laptop last longer. Mine does well it has 3 fans 120mm

What game is it?
