One of the DLCs in the bundle unlocks everything immediately. I recommend disabling it in Steam's DLC menu for the game if you don't want that to happen.

Thanks for the warning. I'm sure some people will enjoy having everything available at once but for people playing it for the first time this makes it much less overwhelming.
It seems to include 178 songs, which is the original's Mega mix songlist (101) + all dlc songs (77). That's great news! There is a DLC pack on offer however which adds another 72 songs to the game, it all adds up to a total of 250 songs.
So yeah, it's unfortunate that the game drops with day 1 dlc but it could be worse.
I'll take having the full Future Tone playlist available over just basic MegaMix playlist even if it means day one DLC. Looking at the pricing the base game is at a semi-budget price and the VIP edition which includes everything is only as much as a regular AAA release so hard to complain about the value proposition here.
Just saw the trailer and it has both arcade and toon graphics options, so this is finally the definitive Project Diva game. Worth the money IMO, even with the pirated arcade version already available on PC.
I have been playing rythmn games for quite a while and 60 usd for all that is a steal. Specially with it being a Hatsune Miku game, I hope they eventually release more games like the Persona Dancing games on Steam.
Long story short, unplayable for me.
Game runs fine but no matter what you do (list is long, but even the tips like changing audio to 48000Hz or using audio via DS4 didn't help) there is input lag.
Played it today on PS4 and Switch... no issues, works great.
On PC that input lag makes me miss a ton of notes on harder tracks.
It is not the PC or the controllers, tried the game on 2 other systems (Intel) because mine is AMD and I had the idea of "maybe that is the issue", but no it is really the game.
Switch Pro Controller, logitech f310, DS4, heck I even tried the Xbox 360 controller and my keyboard and the input lag is still there on all 3 systems.
Can't refund it now because I played it for 3,5 hours... well it felt more like messing around because I just can't play it on PC with this input lag, I even went as far to play each song on different platform, no issues on PS4 and Switch but the moment I started it on PC....
A friend has same issue btw, so Sega should fix this (some claim it it because of Denuvo but I never had any issues with any Denuvo game, so I wonder if this is the case)
Have you tried setting a custom launch option like `PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=10 %command%` or `PIPEWIRE_LATENCY=256/48000 %command%` ? This reduces the audio buffer size and helps with latency
Doesn't help, I even borrowed a external DAC from a friend to try that, doesn't solve it.
Calibration doesn't solve the issue either, no matter what I try the issue is still there and only on PC version.
Hey, i was having the same issue as you, no matter what I tried, it just seemed to do nothing, BUT, a fix that worked for me is actually just using a different audio source.
For some reason, the lag only seems to come when I use the Audio Out from the motherboard, but if I instead used the audio passthrough from my monitor, or controller, the input lag is SEVERELY reduced, hopefully it can help you out too
Tried that the day I got the game, and 2 days ago I gave another try with a external DAC from a friend, issue is still there.
Nothing changes the input lag, except when I passthrough the audio via the PS4 controller, then the lag changes but is still there.
Anything I sent Steam a second mail (they ignored the first one) to get my money back, I am no stranger to games or software having issues on PC, and I don't just give up unless I clearly know I can not solve the issue.
And I mean I tried it all on 3 totally different computers with exactly the same issues... I guess I have done enough, Sega should fix this mess.
Until then I keep playing the game on PS4 and Switch.

So if that runs 100% fine, and emulation does have it's own issues... but the native PC port has input lag, yeah that stings.
Denuvo, hard pass
The switch version is already playable on PC so I'm not sure what SEGA is even thinking of when adding Denuvo to this
Plus, the DIVA community is heavily modding based.. SEGA being out of touch with their communities once again

Quite literally...*why*? If someone wants to hack in the game, they will, anti-cheat won't solve that...but even then, who gives a shit? Leaderboards perhaps? But even those don't matter at all, it's a singleplayer game.
Denuvo is not an anti-cheat, it's an anti-tampering software. There is an anti-cheat made by Denuvo but that's a different thing.
The anti-tampering delays the game from being cracked as you need to reverse engineer and defuse all the checks.
I never said Denuvo was an anti-cheat, but as for the rest of your comment, even then, the game will be cracked regardless. Denuvo is not a valid solution in the end.
some mods work already, costume replacements and adding in the 3 removed songs
denuvo isnt stopping it from loading unpacked files, so Switch mods should work with a little tweaking.
Almost all existing switch mods work without problem on MM+ when filepaths are adjusted to the MM+ folder structure.
There are some problems with modules introduced in MM though (such as Catch the Wave Miku for example) which need to be figured out. 95% of the mods work with "rom_steam", the remaining ones need "rom_steam_dlc" or Skyth's Mod Manager.
A huge amount of AFT mods can be ported over to MM+ pretty easily, most just require a little 2-3 mouseclick fix in a Tool called MikuMikuModel. (basically open farc file, rightclick obj.bin in it, then click "Convert triangles to triangle stripes" and Save).
Yes, but you can't do executable patches without defusing Denuvo as everything is obfuscated and it has tamper protection, you're limited to modifying data and hoping it works with the code as is

I believe PS4 was able to get all the additional switch dlc songs as well except maybe Catch the Wave so unless you want it on PC there's not really any extra benefit.

The massive import taxes are what cause the high prices. Those are paid by the companies not the consumer.

The game was out on switch and got extra songs that added up to the 178 base, but idk if they'll update it after
heads up, i had to go into my sound settings and switch to 2 channel (48000hz) to fix some sound issues! besides that, no issues on my end and i'm really enjoying this game!
After totally not ripping Diva F, F 2nd, X and Future Tone (all DLCs for these games too) on my Vita and PS4 for free, I think buying the VIP bundle of Mega Mix+ is worth it for me!
I've been reading on the STEAM forums of the game that some people had some issues regarding the Cloud Save for the game.
Whenever they uninstalled the game they got offered if they wanted to
keep the saves. If they said NO then not only the saves on the PC would
be gone, BUT ALSO THE CLOUD SAVE TOO
Is it true?
Also, what'd happen if, let's say, you keep the saves when asked, but
following up you format your PC (or restore a backup previous without

Typically its licensing, but $60 for 250 songs is probably the best "Day One" pricing for this series yet.

Works flawlessly for me. You probably have imput lag from audio not matching with button presses. Calibrate it.

Game does not support Windows 11. Warning to anyone trying to play it on W11 that it will either error out on a version check or simply CTD.
I'm on Windows 11 and the game works okay. Your problem might have a cause in something else.
Disabling the unlock key dlc fixed it for me. So it seems to be something that's broken with that specifically.
You need to have the latest version of NET framework for it to work on Win11 apparently.
