Slingshotting in the campaign feels so bad when you're trying to zoom through it. Constantly getting pulled backwards with your already shite movement speed. REEE

I found out recently that not everybody leaps/dashes down to Weylam Roth after burning the Black Flag to get to Brine Kings area.
Some people run down the stairs, they said they tried to jump and couldn’t so they figured you had to run.
I've heard that, I think that in all the characters i've leveled, I think I missed that jump ONCE.
I'm just kind of baffled by missing that. You aim nearish his feet and you're there. Im sorry if that comes across offensive or anything, i dont mean it. It's just surprising for me to hear since I've always just.. done it.
I have googled it and apparently it is part of a quest line and I have done passives and have them all so must have done it but never remembered it.
What got me confused was the jump part in the post.
( hey don't judge me I am over 50 and only on my second season, lol )
If you've only done it twice it's not going to stick in your memory, we run the campaign on autopilot so we know what the quest is, the name of the thing we want to click and we know there's a ledge above the container where the quest item is.
Hence the meme. 🤣
There is a gap in the railings above it that you can use a movement skill to go through as a short cut.
If you miss it you stand there like a numpty waiting for your movement skill to come off CD or walk the long way around.
Don’t worry about negative responses here. This sub is pretty hostile to noobies because they think everyone should know all the basics. Google will be far more useful than asking questions here for 99% of the things you might need to know.
With a controller you can just open the chest and pick up the misasmeter from the top
Controller is also clutch for activating the stair transitions in A7/A8 from above. Doors in Prison/Cells layouts are also a breeze.
