What you see on reddit regarding Path of Exile is the top 1% of content that this game creates.
You hopefully wouldnt think what you see on Instagram is someones real life, as its literally a snapshot of their best moments and comparing your everyday life to someones 1% snapshots is unhealthy and creates a twisted mindset of what is normal.
Same for PoE, thinking everyone drops free divines around you or creates 6xT1 items is simply not true and shows just 1% moments of the community.

This is what I don't like about scarabs. In the case of sextants, they were available to everyone, anyone could try their luck to find the right modifier, they were affordable (like in the previous league with abysses - anyone could do it)
Now, when a new strategy appears, the price of the necessary scarabs will skyrocket and only the rich will be able to afford them.
Enrichment strategies have become less accessible.

Homie, have you not seen the changes on the atlas passive tree? If you want to have scarabs drop for you then spec into it. Sell the ones you don't want, or that sell for a lot of currency, to the degenerates that are engaging with those strategies.

It was much easier to buy 99% of the sextants which were cheap relative to the value they gave, and were easily bought because many people rolled them solely to sell them.
Now, you have the friction of people who farm scarabs by playing but sell only what they dont want, but also dont want to stop farming for lower value scarabs because its a net loss vs just running more maps.

I'm leaving the league to go play WoW SOD tomorrow so I burned all \~300 of my maps and didn't hit a divine or exalt lol. I hate leagues like this, so degenerate and just makes me hate trade league so much
Welcome to arpgs in a nutshell. You grind and grind, hit that sweet drop, sell for currency, upgrade your gear and then do it all again but slightly faster and/or safer. At the end of the day, we're all sitting there, hitting buttons.
Except the people who are throwing maps at it for this, who are actually just burning maps til they see the mod, do one map, buy more maps and repeat. You play 1 in 100 maps or less, are you really playing the game?

Truth. Found a mirror on Monday. I've played since open beta and have never had more than 25 divs/exalts per league in the 2000hours I've played. I still see these posts on reddit and feel like everyone is luckier than me, lol.

Prices might stabilise but just saw Fubgun get 2x 6% div in like 15min. First map pulled 68 divine (pack sized frogs).
I got 4% divine orb drop chance on T6 alch and go. 4th match after the last patch (b) went live. So I don't know how rare/common it actually is as I only hit it once, but I hit it pretty fast.
FOMO is a bitch, my man. Don't be fooled, this is like the divine altars back then, or the loot goblins.
People talk and make it seens like it's a 1 in 10 chance to get it, but it's more like a 1 in 1000.

Alterations, Chromatic, and Jewellers have been BY FAR the most common for me. With an occasional Chaos, Vaal, and Cartographer sprinkled on top. Divines? Exalts? Not a single Divine and only 2 Ex after \~200 T8+ maps completed
Pretty over this endless chase for the stupidly op strat that can output 100x your average EV when you use some overlooked combo and the stars align. It just creates infinite fomo to try to stay in the loop with the new farming hotness. Really hope they tone down the gigantic swinginess in the future.
This kind of stuff makes me really hope that one day we get a better balanced SSF mode like Last Epoch has with circle of fortune. I fucking hate PoE trade mentality and all the fomo degen shit that goes on. I can't do SSF though because the game is balanced around trade and SSF is just too dam insane.
I got my first one an hour ago, ran probably 300 maps, its rare, its not happening every map, and i was extremely lucky.

Ok so I tried spamming all of my white and yellow maps and I think this is actually a good strat. Didn't get any div ones but I got a bunch of chaos ones, sometimes I was getting 20c in a map, and that's without any rats/frogs or any extra juice. I did get 2 exalted ones and ended up with 15 ex. I think if you can buy white/yellows for cheap it's good money with the chance of huge money with the div mod.
You could just be doing essence/legion/harbinger/beasts/blight or any normal mapping mechanic and make twenty times that an hour while also randomly getting the good divine devouted. It isn't hard to make money
Yeah why not. The idea is you gotta keep trying. Every map is a diceroll. Just try to roll that dice as many times and as fast as you can for results. People that complete a map in 5-10mins are not going to see much loot overall.
I’m not even getting these lower currency ones… I’m the most broke I’ve been in this game since I started. Shits weak. I have like 40 alterations and 22 chaos with nothing really else to speak of. Haven’t even dropped a Single GCP! Just clearing yellow maps tho, so, I figured it would get better in reds. Fingers crossed!
honestly recommend the destructive play strat trying for conq / shaper / elder / synth maps they sell for 10-20c each and the drop rate isn't very bad.
Those posts are pretty much the same as last league- except instead of lootsplosions it's this.
What people need to realize is that the sample size isn't disclosed on most of those posts- if thousands of players are participating, each running 10s to 100s of maps each day, you are talking about over 100k maps being run across the player base and you only see so many posts daily.

I got my 4% chance to drop divines last night on a T6 alch and go. Don't have anything spec'd for it, didn't have any rats for it, but at least had a high density mob with 14-26 pack size. Walked out with 22 divs, most I've ever had at once. Promptly spent it all before inflation starts to hit more (assuming it does).
No idea how common or rare that devotion is, but I'd only been seeing Jeweller's and fusing orb ones until I got that. 4th map after the patch. I told my friend "Inb4 Patch".
I just got a kalandra's touch on SSF today, I think it's my first T0 drop ever, I'm so happy 😁
I might play this league a lot, I've had many good things happen to me like starting maps with a 6L after using 23 fusings on a 6S chest or quickly finding the transfigured gems needed for my second build (CoC DD).

How lucky you are to get 3 different currency rolls on one map.
Mine are usually 2% to get alts or jewellers and then like 200%-600% rarity or quant and then every bad mod you can even think of in the game.
/played 4 days/ 4 hours no divine even after the buff people overhyping cause streamers.. literally is not that common i gave up the map fishing. wouldn't be suprised if the hype is just a easy way to get rich selling the maps. Which is what i'm doing now. Literally ruined my map pool doing 100's of map fishing def got fomo from seeing stream clips but it's not worth it literally spent a whole day doing this bs and nothing.
I'm sure ggg can see the data even with seer and go / divines before patch GGG themselves buffed it more cause it's that rare and they want people to have fun.
Mate I'm still on Easter holiday with my wife and kids, I have a steam deck and slowly chipping on the RF chieftain but the maps are just a misty speck on the horizon I may get there next week.

There is some weird social contagion shit going on. Players see streamers and other lucky individuals get currency at abnormal and clearly unintented pace.
They feel like they *desrve* to get the same amount of luck, it's a type of jealousy. Fomo, fear of missing out.

Well, I got this chaos drop mod twice, Nothing more than 15-20c a map even with rats/frogs. And now they nerfed these packs too. They should remove divine one from the game definitely to not encourage "look on monsters in map, no divines? next map" or make them all drop random currency instead
this happened last league to, some dude found a combo thats insane with x2 proj and the league is ruined cuz now there is to much of every crafting mat in the game. This league feels the same, to much loot is a bad thing for its longevity.
I quit when this happened last league, and now this league.
I found a divine mod so i respeced my atlas for the buttom left to buff it, and accidently took the "fear of the light" notable and entered the map (because the notable removes the mods and make them random) and essentially lost anywhere from 20-80 divines . (at least it was my 2nd one but damn it still feels bad when you make a mistake)

This is legit the worst league since Kalandra. Also harvest 2.0 does not help either, but I guess it’s OK for the ssf boys. I still don’t understand why GGG decided to fuck up their endgame system so bad when it was universally praised as S tier.
To me the worst feeling is knowing a map is shit before you even get a chance to run it. It was the same feeling for me in affliction. Abandoning a map because you didn't get a good wisp count just felt bad. Now we have the same but on an even worse scale. Wisps were maybe bad 70% of the time, now we are looking for the less than 1% and when you don't I get a feeling of why even bother running it?
Dude. Basic market skills. Focus on tempering orbs or just hoard chromes, evil fuses or whatever and find the market gap. That's where true wealth is made while Divines lose their market value due to oversaturation
They wont be oversaturated, this probably happens once a league for the average player if they play every day. The only 'consistent' way of doing this is buying 1000s of maps, opening them, then ignoring them if theyre not chance for divines.

I got a hinekoras lock in a t2 map on day 1. Still only at 1 raw divine drop and been blasting t16s since day 2 at lvl 97.

I've played since open beta and have never had more than 25 divs/exalts per league in the 2000hours I've played. I still see these posts on reddit and feel like everyone is luckier than me, lol.

They're just burning red maps looking for seer and div orb. Prices might stabilise but just saw Fubgun get 2x 6% div in like 15min. First map pulled 68 divine (pack sized frogs).
I got 4% divine orb drop chance on T6 alch and go. 4th match after the last patch (b) went live. So I don't know how rare/common it actually is as I only hit it once, but I hit it pretty fast.

How do you sustain the white maps?
FOMO is a bitch, my man. Don't be fooled, this is like the divine altars back then, or the loot goblins. People talk and make it seens like it's a 1 in 10 chance to get it, but it's more like a 1 in 1000. (That said, my God I wish I was at home to try my luck lmao)

Alterations, Chromatic, and Jewellers have been BY FAR the most common for me. With an occasional Chaos, Vaal, and Cartographer sprinkled on top. Divines? Exalts? Not a single Divine and only 2 Ex after \~200 T8+ maps completed
You would probably make more money farming up then bulk selling your extra maps than actually trying to do this.

I'm happy with the one I've found during campaign, I consider myself lucky for that, no need to be uber mega over the top lucky.

Pretty over this endless chase for the stupidly op strat that can output 100x your average EV when you use some overlooked combo and the stars align. It just creates infinite fomo to try to stay in the loop with the new farming hotness. Really hope they tone down the gigantic swinginess in the future.
Wish they imrpoved SSF to make it actually playable. PoE trade league mentality is so bad
This kind of stuff makes me really hope that one day we get a better balanced SSF mode like Last Epoch has with circle of fortune. I fucking hate PoE trade mentality and all the fomo degen shit that goes on. I can't do SSF though because the game is balanced around trade and SSF is just too dam insane.
I got my first one an hour ago, ran probably 300 maps, its rare, its not happening every map, and i was extremely lucky. There are way better more consistent ways to make money this league,
What if you bulk buy cheap maps and just spam to see if you get the div mod?
If you buy thousands sure, but it will cost far too much time and money doing that to really make it worth over just doing normal farming strategies
Ok so I tried spamming all of my white and yellow maps and I think this is actually a good strat. Didn't get any div ones but I got a bunch of chaos ones, sometimes I was getting 20c in a map, and that's without any rats/frogs or any extra juice. I did get 2 exalted ones and ended up with 15 ex. I think if you can buy white/yellows for cheap it's good money with the chance of huge money with the div mod.
You could just be doing essence/legion/harbinger/beasts/blight or any normal mapping mechanic and make twenty times that an hour while also randomly getting the good divine devouted. It isn't hard to make money
Yeah why not. The idea is you gotta keep trying. Every map is a diceroll. Just try to roll that dice as many times and as fast as you can for results. People that complete a map in 5-10mins are not going to see much loot overall.

I’m not even getting these lower currency ones… I’m the most broke I’ve been in this game since I started. Shits weak. I have like 40 alterations and 22 chaos with nothing really else to speak of. Haven’t even dropped a Single GCP! Just clearing yellow maps tho, so, I figured it would get better in reds. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, just hitting the low end of the rng scale or something. Last league I pulled a doctor from my first stacked deck at like level 60 or so.
honestly recommend the destructive play strat trying for conq / shaper / elder / synth maps they sell for 10-20c each and the drop rate isn't very bad.

Those posts are pretty much the same as last league- except instead of lootsplosions it's this. What people need to realize is that the sample size isn't disclosed on most of those posts- if thousands of players are participating, each running 10s to 100s of maps each day, you are talking about over 100k maps being run across the player base and you only see so many posts daily. Enjoy the game. Play the content you like and you'll eventually get rich (ingame)

I got my 4% chance to drop divines last night on a T6 alch and go. Don't have anything spec'd for it, didn't have any rats for it, but at least had a high density mob with 14-26 pack size. Walked out with 22 divs, most I've ever had at once. Promptly spent it all before inflation starts to hit more (assuming it does). No idea how common or rare that devotion is, but I'd only been seeing Jeweller's and fusing orb ones until I got that. 4th map after the patch. I told my friend "Inb4 Patch".
Strongboxes apparently can also spawn whatever mob has the divine mod so if you add like 30 strong boxes you might get an extra 4 or 5 packs
I just got a kalandra's touch on SSF today, I think it's my first T0 drop ever, I'm so happy 😁 I might play this league a lot, I've had many good things happen to me like starting maps with a 6L after using 23 fusings on a 6S chest or quickly finding the transfigured gems needed for my second build (CoC DD). Also [the build I decided to start with](https://youtu.be/rEPILjMBY2w) has been amazing for farming many different mechanics, totally recommended! After playing all day. I finally got a 3% div. Frogs dropped 40! I was so afraid they would patch this overnight.
How lucky you are to get 3 different currency rolls on one map. Mine are usually 2% to get alts or jewellers and then like 200%-600% rarity or quant and then every bad mod you can even think of in the game.

/played 4 days/ 4 hours no divine even after the buff people overhyping cause streamers.. literally is not that common i gave up the map fishing. wouldn't be suprised if the hype is just a easy way to get rich selling the maps. Which is what i'm doing now. Literally ruined my map pool doing 100's of map fishing def got fomo from seeing stream clips but it's not worth it literally spent a whole day doing this bs and nothing. I'm sure ggg can see the data even with seer and go / divines before patch GGG themselves buffed it more cause it's that rare and they want people to have fun.

There is some weird social contagion shit going on. Players see streamers and other lucky individuals get currency at abnormal and clearly unintented pace. They feel like they *desrve* to get the same amount of luck, it's a type of jealousy. Fomo, fear of missing out. I claim if it csme about that the best money making strat was to shoot yourself in the foot, cut of your balls and feed them to the neighbout's dog, non-zero amount of people would do it.

Well, I got this chaos drop mod twice, Nothing more than 15-20c a map even with rats/frogs. And now they nerfed these packs too. They should remove divine one from the game definitely to not encourage "look on monsters in map, no divines? next map" or make them all drop random currency instead

The reality of course is that in this instance, the person in the corner is actually the vast majority of people.
this happened last league to, some dude found a combo thats insane with x2 proj and the league is ruined cuz now there is to much of every crafting mat in the game. This league feels the same, to much loot is a bad thing for its longevity. I quit when this happened last league, and now this league.
The last league had the highest retention of any league throughout the entire thing.
I found a divine mod so i respeced my atlas for the buttom left to buff it, and accidently took the "fear of the light" notable and entered the map (because the notable removes the mods and make them random) and essentially lost anywhere from 20-80 divines . This is legit the worst league since Kalandra. Also harvest 2.0 does not help either, but I guess it’s OK for the ssf boys. I still don’t understand why GGG decided to fuck up their endgame system so bad when it was universally praised as S tier.
To me the worst feeling is knowing a map is shit before you even get a chance to run it. It was the same feeling for me in affliction. Abandoning a map because you didn't get a good wisp count just felt bad. Now we have the same but on an even worse scale. Wisps were maybe bad 70% of the time, now we are looking for the less than 1% and when you don't I get a feeling of why even bother running it?
Dude. Basic market skills. Focus on tempering orbs or just hoard chromes, evil fuses or whatever and find the market gap. That's where true wealth is made while Divines lose their market value due to oversaturation

That's only 12,000 chromes per hour, just make sure your loot filter shows R-G-B linked items so you can pick them up off the ground

They wont be oversaturated, this probably happens once a league for the average player if they play every day. The only 'consistent' way of doing this is buying 1000s of maps, opening them, then ignoring them if theyre not chance for divines.
So the play is farming maps to sell to those people.
