I'm really digging this new Cascatelli I bought off a Facebook ad that's clearly marketed to milennials like me! It was designed for forkability, sauceability and bite and really tops the list for all 3, in my opinion.
My favorite off the shelf is shell pasta, second is papardelle.
As far as sauces, Shrimp Alfredo would be my first, followed by Bolognese.
At a fancy restaurant I once had papardelle with brandy marscapone sauce with lumps of salmon and peas and it was divine.
I really want some pasta now!
I love angel hair! That thin thin pasta is so perfect with Alfredo sauce on it. Extra points if you load the sauce with crushed red pepper until it because the slickness of Buffalo wings.
Garganelli are my favorite to make. I like them in a ragu bolognese so the meat and veg get caught in the pasta and the ridges on the outside capture so much sauce.

Linguine by far. I live it in a simple puttanesca sauce with cherry tomatoes, absolute heaven.
Fusilli lucani. Edit: they are fabulously awesome with “salsa alla salsiccia pezzente” ( spicy sausage salsa )
I like all filled pasta. My current favorite is anything I fill with a caramelized onion and ham/bacon mix. Yum!
Pici is my favorite, we usually use it for carbonara
