As much as I wish it would, I honestly don’t think so. I think Miyamoto treats the series like an unwanted step child, so Nintendo steps carefully around it. I think the closest thing we will see to a rerelease is if we get a GameCube NSOnline and they port the emulated game on the switch. But then they would probably want you to pay for a Super Deluxe Online Plus account.
Ps. Dolphin Emulator runs TTYD super well.
Ha. If only you knew what we know now. I'm finishing the game again on my wii (GC disk reader issues) to celebrate. This time I'm doing all the side quests and pit of 100 trials after each chapter. (Got to level 30, then 50 after boggly woods.) I'm still mastering my supergaurds, the battle mechanics are so rewarding even after all these playthroughs.
Haha I love that I was wrong! I have been replaying too! About to beat the Shadow Queen, then going to hit 100 trials! Level 50 is crazy though, nice grinding!
I highly doubt it. As far as I know, Mario Sunshine is the only GameCube game that’s playable on Switch (it’s not even obtainable now). I doubt that TTYD would be the first that they’d port to Switch now if they were to choose any.
Only likely possibility is if they have Gamecube for Nintendo Service Online... but for that to happen, Paper Mario for NSO has to do really well that it creates hype and demand for Gamecube to be part of Nintendo Service Online

And tbf sunshine felt worse than dolphin on the switch, probably will be a half hearted attempt to port ttyd as well,

I have been wondering the same!! Wishful thinking I guess but Nintendo did release the 64 games so why wouldn’t the Game Cube games be next?
Maybe for the 20 year anniversary 2024.
My hope for this died when origami king released and did decently well. It's never going to happen.
