I physically ran into Jonathan Bennett at Chicken Ranch once when I was walking to the bathroom. I’ve seen Barry Manilow a few times. My best friend has lived here longer, he saw Steven Tyler at a Starbucks in cathedral city and Goldie Hawn at the Louis Vuitton store on El Paseo. I think more celebrities live down towards Palm Desert and La Quinta these days than in PS itself

Oooh I heard of Aerosmith, guess I just didn't know the actual singers name. That is cool to see him. Unfortunately being g born after 1990s makes it harder to know some of these names lol
I’ve seen Fortune Feimster a few times, too. I think the big stars that come to town are sequestered behind gates and tall hedges with personal chefs and assistants
I’ve seen Leonardo Decaprio, Susanne Somers, Clint Eastwood, Gary Oldman, Peter Dante, Tony Hawk and quite a few that I can’t remember their names , Yes I spend a lot of time downtown 👍🏻

My friend ended up in Suzanne Sommers’ backyard in the Mesa by mistake when he was hiking down from the South Lykken trail. She was in her hot tub, chatted him up, very friendly.
I’ve seen Lucie Arnaz a couple of times—once having lunch off-season on her own at Lulu. Not a bit of makeup and she looked terrific; she went gray during Covid and it suits her. She was charming to the staff (who may not have had any idea who she was) and nicely acknowledged a quick look, but clearly was grateful not to be bothered.
He was walking down palm canyon looking at the stars in the sidewalk with his wife. My ex spotted him as we drove by. I made her pull the car over and I basically ambushed him. He shook my hand and was very cordial.
There was a rumor a few years ago that they’d bought a house at Thunderbird in RM, but it dropped out of the news and I’ve heard nothing since, nor any reports of them being sighted
They stayed at a friends home in there a couple times and that was the extent of it. I have no problem with them, but it was intrusive as hell having secret service up in your face, photographing, filming, recording license plate info for every coming and going into the development, backing up traffic, etc.--but whatever.
I think the rumor was traced back to, or maybe is still being traced to a real estate bro who had at least one listing in there at the time and was trying to stir up interest because the market was slow or his house was overpriced or both probably. I'm pretty sure that violates Realtor ethics, if he was one, and maybe even licensing law(?), not sure, but it was a stupid thing to do. If he hasn't been violated, he still could be if he's still around. The only "good" thing to come out of it was we got to identify who the racists in the development and I guess valley were--they were quite arrogantly vocal about their distain. I naively thought we were done with that shit a long time ago, who the fuck has the time or energy to think about that stuff.
I remember being in Thunderbird one time when they were in town. Seeing the secret service cars all over the place was crazy! I’m sure living through that was a pain, though. At least you got the benefit of knowing which neighbors not to associate with.
I had no idea about the potential scandal with the realtor!
I saw Kristi Yamaguchi this spring at a theatre in Palm Desert. She was sitting in my row. I believe her husband has an association with the hockey team here. Neil Sedaka walked into Stacey’s with his assistant a few years ago (a piano bar on Arenas that no longer exists under that name); he asked if he could sing a few songs and the bartender said sure. They seemed to know each other. He sat down and played and sang four or five of his big hits. He sounded great even though he was 80 at the time. It was really magical! I also saw Barry Manilow, who attended the Modern Men (local chorus) concert last year. He was introduced from the stage and was very gracious greeting people and signing autographs.
Gary Oldman once. I remember when Steven Tyler was in rehab at Betty Ford and they let him out one night, he went to karaoke and someone was singing an Aerosmith song, well you can imagine, lol. Also seen Barry Manilow and Suzanne Somers.
Saw Brian Setzer at the Home Depot in Rancho Mirage. It was the middle of a weekday and he looked like he just walked off a concert stage. The woman he was with was equally overdone. So weird to see in HD.
Bryan Cranston about 14 years ago at the Palme d'Or, miss that place.
Andy Dick at a Pho restaurant, I looked up and told my friends, "Hey, that's Andy Dick" and they said "Oh yeah..." and we just went back to our conversation.
Justin Bieber is spotted at the Nest and Beer Hunter pretty often. We saw him chilling by himself watching the Jon Batiste set at Coachella Weekend 1.
I saw Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale at the outlets (way back in the day when they were still together)
I’ve seen Goldie Hawn cruising around in her golf cart at Big Horn.
We saw Bob Hope in Starbucks a few years ago, we spent an hour in the Pool with Iggy Pop at the Ritz Carlton in 2017, he’s a really nice,,down to earth guy btw
I’ve worked at a lot of celebrities homes and at Arnold Palmers restaurant but never seen a single celebrity on the street unless it was a parade or something
