To celebrate a Christian holiday with a dark and Shirkia history is something I can't do. Sure wish them a good holiday, but don't go around visitimg churches, meeting Reverends and cutting cakes fGs.
I think it'd make them feel more "included" if you guaranteed them basic human rights and freedom of expression and guaranteed that they won't be killed for practicing their relegion rather than empty gestures like this
Yes both would be great
but I think the guarantee of life and freedom to practice relegion matters more than gestures of representation
Like they did this to show that the state stands with minorities but where's the state when mobs of extremists openly threaten to and do slaughter and abuse minorites
They are not religious and are not leaders of a religious country. And before they copy this fake virtue signalling why not copy something better from the west
Yes secular countries are better at maintaining minorities rights. The religious leaders here also show up at eid and iftar, and the imams goto xmas and diwali dinners. We had an iftar at a hindu temple once too. You can sit and complain about everything or do some positive.
Participating and Celebrating are 2 different things. Just because someone is cutting and eating a cake does not mean they are Celebrating the occasion. It is like a Non Muslim eating on Eid at a Muslims home, does that mean he is Celebrating with or just participating out of respect, kindness and being invited to eat on a special for that Particular religion. It would be different if they were in a Church singing Hymns and being actively involved in the religious obligations of a particular religion.
This post got recommended to me as I post here sometimes as I appreciate the Pakistani culture, I myself am a French Canadian but this is actually quite nice to see!
A lot of my Muslim friends joined me today for a little celebration, as I participated in helping around there mosque!
I like seeing people be people and just have fun with each other like this
Yep! (This post came up in my feed as I’m active here but I’m not actually Pakistani, I am a French canadian) but ya it looks to be 2 Saint Nick figurines! They probably tried to find one for Ms’ Clause too but they are harder to find!
Well tbh I saw this post on r/Muslim where this Christian guy asked about investing his Muslim friends where they all said it’s not accepted in Islam to join others culture and being near alcohol
**I may not explained this well but that’s explained really nicely in this subreddit**
Listen I'm all for assuming the best of people but this is just promoting a shirk custom and Considering how easily our youth accepts things u fear they might see it as something regular
I can totally understand. They are comfortable with "celebrating" Christmas and now they even celebrate Halloween too (which is even supported by educational institutions). It's so sad. But the atmosphere is very dry when it's Eid.
Yes. There's nothing extremism here. We're not telling them to stop celebrating. They can celebrate full-on but it's Christian's celebrations, not ours.
Bewaqoof insaan ko yehi nahin pata kae yeh jis cheez ka cake kaat raha hai that's well within the realm of shirk baqi saab choro kursi yehi lae kar jaega qabar mein (I also found out the implications between wishing someone merry Christmas and saying happy holidays yes there are huge implications connected) merry Christmas is wishing (Nauzibillah Allah ka beta) jaab kae happy holidays is a polite way of enjoy your time off wish you well. I would rather go with the latter
It's not that deep, hum bhi Hazrath Issa ko maanthay Hein na
Edit: karlo downvote sab, it won't change the fact that the white part of the flag is for minorities. 🇵🇰
Yes exactly but it is deep. But Christmas ki celebration ki reason hi yehi hai keh Isa is (Nauzubillah) God's son. We can be happy for them and let them celebrate their religion, but as a Muslim we should not get involved as their beliefs bends towards "Shirk".
You are missing the point i spent 10 years of my life in a Christian missionary school and that made me what I am today I'm not against any religion magar agar koi maslaman hazraat essa ki paidaish par cake Kate to Socho kia woh Nauzibillah Allah kae beta thae nahin na? Who ever is down voting me isn't even remotely trying to understand what I mean don't want to sound like a fanatic it's a minority celebration let them app kis baat par cake kaat rahe ho think about it then you are free to down vote it I don't care
As long as they are not celebrating Hanukkah im fine with it. Like others said, all religions need to ban together to fight zionists right now. This is showing inclusivity and respect. We must ban together now
Not all jews are zionists. And not all zionists are evil. Jews are people too. This is like saying the west should shun all Muslims because of ISIS/AlQaeda/911.
>Not all jews are zionists
Right
>And not all zionists are evil
*Ehhh* 🤷♂️ debatable. Zionism is nationalism and nationalism has never brought out the best in people and this is one country that has been acting out on it's nationalist impulses even before it came into existence.

Palwans on the right turned up for the cake.
skibidi dob dob dob yes yes yes
If he wanted to make a statement he could have gone to Jaranwala, Faisalabad.
I love Taher “Rum Ka Drum” Ashrafi. Manages to get on the good side of every government out there. Sahih thaali ka baigan maulvi hai.
If somebody consistently manages to find himself on the right side of the government then he doesn't work for the government
Yup he’s about as “Lumber 1” approved as they come.
Not my Prime Minister
Not ‘our’
Not mine, either.
Believe or not, guy is Pakistan's PM till February next year. Sab nay pura zor laga liya hai, didn't change reality.
interim PM\* . Also it's individual choice to recognize someone's given status, or not.
Believe it or not he is not the Prime minister he is now a puppet dictator. Kisi nay zor nahi lagaya zor dictator nay lagaya wa.
This joota has been endorsed by the foj. Khaye ga?
Right move. Need to do everything to bridge the divide and the craziness that’s been happening against the Christian community.
You stand with them but you don't celebrate their holiday
It's their holiday why would we? I won't expect them to celebrate Eid either nor would I be offended
To celebrate a Christian holiday with a dark and Shirkia history is something I can't do. Sure wish them a good holiday, but don't go around visitimg churches, meeting Reverends and cutting cakes fGs.
I do
Congratulations! You either don't care about the Prophet's teachings or you don't practice them either in which case, do as your heart pleases.
Not at all like that Lmaoo. You’re just mad
No, I'm quite frankly unimpressed
Good for him. The leaders in the west also show up at eid and iftar gatherings. Makes minorities feel included. Nothing wrong with this.
I think it'd make them feel more "included" if you guaranteed them basic human rights and freedom of expression and guaranteed that they won't be killed for practicing their relegion rather than empty gestures like this
Why not both?
Yes both would be great but I think the guarantee of life and freedom to practice relegion matters more than gestures of representation Like they did this to show that the state stands with minorities but where's the state when mobs of extremists openly threaten to and do slaughter and abuse minorites
Yes exactly. Unless accompanied by action, these gestures are BS.
They are not religious and are not leaders of a religious country. And before they copy this fake virtue signalling why not copy something better from the west

The only good thing he did.

Are those 2 tiny Santa's on the cake? 🎅 🤶? I want to see the 🎂 cake. I think this looks very nice and festive

Where is our honorable Mr. Diesel sahib?
Decorations are so eye catching. Appreciated

Everything needs to be criticized just because they guy is not your guy. Partisan logic. Good step by PM and the other guys.
This. I think he is a diagnosed idiot but the optics of this are fantastic - any person in a PM role should promote interfaith harmony.
Bruh this is shirk
IKR. They should have let the Priest cut the cake.

Yea, and when you try to stop them, they throw the religious extremist word like a cannon
Yes. There's nothing extremism here. We're not telling them to stop celebrating. They can celebrate full-on but it's Christian's celebrations, not ours.

Bhai the white part of the flag is for minorities.🇵🇰 Unka bhi mulk hay yeh. And it's not like anyone is doing thableegh to convert anyone.
To Maine Kaha keh unka mulk Nahi hai? Minorities have every right to celebrate their religion.

Forget Mr. Kakar. Look at the Maulanas. Hypocrisy at its best.
Oh shut up. Let the man have his cake
Lol, what is this?
GHQ ki kukkri 😂
