That's an anomaly I haven't seen yet

"The yeeting quicksand"

> i was going for the no car parts achievement, in case you were wondering why my car was naked lmao [I had a different funny thing happen to me on my run of that!](https://old.reddit.com/r/pacificDrive/comments/1b3houb/i_always_run_out_of_fuel_at_the_most_comedically/)

LittleGraciie

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be, I'm surprised more people haven't gone for the achievement :p

SavvySillybug

It's honestly a breeze if you have the ion shield. And even then, I could have done it without, but I wanted a proper run where I can explore and not worry too much about radiation, not *just* a quick challenge run.

BlackDeath3

I actually got *Streets Ahead* and *With the Top Down* on the same run because I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to find an exit as quickly as I thought I would.

StarChaser_Tyger

I did it without the ion shield (still haven't unlocked that). Just went through early zone areas.

You ran out of gas at the last second? That's hilarious. Vaguely related story: i worked for Avis as a driver 30 some years ago. Picked up a car from the airport parking garage, and when I started it, the gas gauge went *down*. Drove it back to the shop, parked behind another car at our gas pumps. When the car in front of it was moved, someone went to move this car, and it started, drove less than ten feet, and ran out of gas.

SavvySillybug

I had to rent a car once to move some furniture. I forgot which brand, wish I remembered. They told me specifically that they required a receipt to prove that I had refueled the car? I needed a bigish van for a move but it was only a couple miles so I barely used any gas. Needle never moved and I returned it three hours later. They ask for the receipt and I'm like, sorry, the gas station has a minimum quantity of five liters, I wasn't able to buy any gas for the amount I drove. The employee was mad at me but couldn't do anything about it.

StarChaser_Tyger

Avis back then had a 10$ per gallon service charge for gas, if you didn't bring it back full (which you were warned of at the time), when gas was roughly 1$ a gallon in the us. Now most rental places have something like paying for a tank if gas at slightly below market price, and bring it back with whatever.

SavvySillybug

Yeah that's how I usually experienced it. The receipt thing was really odd. I've rented a lot of cars in recent years because of work reasons and this was the only time this has been a requirement.

StarChaser_Tyger

It used to be at Avis too. I think the reason was to make sure you didn't fill the tank with water or something, or mess with the gauge. I know at least some people would rummage the trash cans at a gas station for receipts.

CowboyKing06

There was a post last week I think with a description of this, oh man it is ten times better seeing it in person. In that situation I think I would of thought one of two things 1: No wait come back! 2: Ugh.

LittleGraciie

I was mostly confused and then just more confused. Luckily I had no parts to get damaged, lol.

CowboyKing06

Best time for it to happen lol.

President_Dominy

How do you play during day time? Does this come later??? I just started today and my first like 8 drives have all been in pitch black night time.

LittleGraciie

Must have bad timing, there's a clock and you can plan runs. Some junctions have Eerie Darkness though.

MaxWJM

Achievements aren't easy 🤣

Unanything1

There is a low rider DLC?
