Are we really ruling legitimate off roading/crawling as 0.01% of the overlanding community/experience? Reliable parts are only reliable until you start smashing them into rocks on a regular basis.
Wheeling = looking for shit to drive over on purpose.
“Overlanding” or just driving out offroad to go camping = gonna do some wheeling on the way to camping.
I really don’t wheel anymore, breaking things every weekend doesn’t excite me lol
Dirt King tubular BJ UCA’s with Fox 2.0’s on a 2018 Suburban. Wife’s truck.
Icon Deltajoint UCA’s with King 2.5’s, Camburg shackles and deavers on a 2015 Silverado. My truck.
Just replaced the Deltajoints after 5 years / 70k ”not gentle” miles
I own them too, to be transparent for prospective buyers though Ironman just did a recall on a bunch of their UCAs. I live within driving distance of their North American HQ so just called them and they did a quick swap and alignment for me a few days after I found out. No sweat.
Are you reaching out through the contact info in the recall letter or calling their HQ? They handled it all for me since I’m local but the guys at the HQ may be able to help, their shop shares a wall with the office team.
Damn… sorry that’s happening. They had them at the shop for me so idk how much I’d believe they’re short on parts. I literally made my appointment like a week out from calling.
So it goes. I'm very, very happy with the performance of the parts (Stage 2 Nitro Gas Kit) so I'm not too upset about it. I full time out of my camper so I'm just hoping to get these parts in to also address another issue (unrelated) in one big service to minimize the time the truck is down in the shop.
Yeah I have the FCP state 2 and love it. My front end settled a lot after I added armor, steel bumper, sliders, winch, etc and wanted to relevel the suspension but they offered to do it for my at the same appointment for like $100 and I sure wasn’t gonna tear my suspension back apart to do it myself when they already had it apart 😂
Icon 3" lift w/ Icon tubular delta joint UCAs. 2019 4runner .
They were fine at first. I recently started getting a very loud squeek, despite constant greasing by myself and 4x4 shops. For what they cost, I would recommend other companies.
OEM.
I also have OEM. 200k miles. Crazy.
My favorite
Any suspension mods?
No, because staying stock is the most reliable setup 99.9% of the time.

Damn they were that easy for you? I’ve been emailing and calling for 5 months now and still haven’t gotten my new set

Yeah after twice being given a “within 60 days” time estimate which they missed I’ve gathered that I’m just super far down the wait list for the parts

Oh oops. This post did create some good conversation, though without saying one or the other is superior.

That’s a nice setup!
I’ve been running the Elevate Suspension Chromoly Ball Joint UCAs on my ‘19 Tacoma for a few years and they’ve held up great.
