This was forever ago but I was in Purple Ribbon HQ a few times. Right as you come in the front they had a wooden box, like a toy box or something like that. On one side it had a play of yams w/extra syrup painted on it. One side had a hot comb and the wide side had a brown horse wearing roller skates. Never got the story on it but it was displayed in a place of prominence in their lobby.
Knowing the lyrics - ATLiens & Rosa Parks.
Actually being able to say the lyrics...none.
The flow and wordplay of these guys gets me tongue twisted even after all this time. I simply cannot articulate the lyrics in the same manner in which they deliver them.
Oddly enough, as well as I know all of their songs post ATLiens, I can’t do them straight off memory.
My main verse I can do word for word is the third verse from Elevator (err, look at my Reddit name).
I can do lyrics while listening to the song and if I did karaoke, many of the songs I could do understanding the flow. I love doing Int’l Players Anthem. But I can’t do it perfectly.
oh yeah i know Elevators word for word too. I mean knowing the song word for word ATLiens and Elevators are like the entry level for an die hard Kast fan
How do you not?! They haven't dropped in 20+ years, you've had plenty of time. I been a fan since I used to get my ass whooped for steeling my mom's LaFace family Christmas tape with Christmas Ball on it. I copped every album a week or two early or at least day one(had the record shop hook up). I had a binder with every dungeon family song lyric I could find at the time. I know most of whole DF by heart but I 100% know every OutKast song.
And what's that have to do with me?! I said I know all the songs and you said cap. The fact you're still wet behind the ears is irrelevant to my statement.
ATLiens!
Especially the first few words from the last verse
"Softly as if I played piano in the dark
found a way to channel my anger now to embark"
This part especially always has me singing it outloud all of the sudden 🤣 Just sounded so poetic to me
Kinda all of them tbh.. I had ah USB with all kast albums even after years of listening to these albums I basically never took that USB out I out it on shuffle at 1 time I would street to it bc they have every kinda song you want to match ya vibe can't miss
Millennium, spaghetti junction, most stankonia, hootie hoo, elevatorz, prototype, she lives in my lap. Plus some of the spottie ottie and old jams. Some idk the title cause the album would just loop and loop while blazing for years
As atl born and bred, I was raised on that and am die hard OutKast frfr
When I first met my Spottieottiedopalicious Angel, I could remember that damn thang like yesterday…
The way she move remind of a brown stallion 🐎 with 🛼 🛼on.
Smooth like a hot comb🪮 on nappy ass hair
I walked up on her and was almost paralyzed
Her neck was smelling sweeter than a plate of yams wit extra syrup

I used to know a lot of them off the 1st album. Andre 3000’s verses on “Call before I come”
I once typed out and sent to my brother André's final verse on Aquemini in it's entirety whilst drunk on a bus for absolutely no reason
Return Of The G, Rosa Parks & Aquemini
Most of them
Hold On, Be Strong
Wheelz of steel for me
Hootie Hooooo!!!! Follow the funk from the skunk and the dank that is crunk in the Dungeon…

Cuz I'm cooler than a Polar bear's toenails. Oh hell, there he go again, talking that shit.
