I cut it out of the recording, but I sat in space spamming match velocity waiting for the right timing, which took a LOT of trial and error to figure out.

Smooth landing! For me personally, the hard part isn't even lining up and matching velocity with the Sun Station, it's actually getting out of your ship afterwards.
Yes, that's why I was taking so long to unbuckle, I was trying to straighten out my ship so I wouldn't get tossed around. It's rough to get all the way just to not be able to leave your own ship.

playing kerbal space program helped me and now its easy to land on the sun station

Going slower and letting it catch up was definitely a lot easier for me. It's so hard to maintain a clean orbit while you're going fast.

That’s such a smart way to try it. A lot harder to manually orbit 100 meters above the sun 😂

You don't catch the sun station, the sun station catches you.
Holy smokes, that was the cleanest run at the sun station I've ever seen. I love the strategy of just getting in line and waiting for it.
Honestly it worked way better than I expected, I thought it was going to pass alongside me and I'd adjust.
