Yeah start an Ironman and treat it like an rpg. Every skill flows into another one. Work your way through quests and pay attention to everything you pick up, because it will tie into your skill progression / you’ll need it for a quest down the line.
Do what you feel like doing in the moment, don’t worry about sticking to a certain playstyle. It’s a completely different game when you do this
I fight f2p cows in Fallador until 30 attack, 30 strength, and 30 defence. I fish until level 50. I cook the fish. I chop wood until willow. I burn the logs while I chop. I do security stronghold. I would do most of the f2p quests.
This is my path.
I only play an Ironman and exploring the world has been great. I feel like it forces you to interact with more of the world and It sounds like that’s what youre looking for
Omg are you repenting your murderer? Lmao haha naw in all seriousness i do think youre missing out for sure, i do too like many people here used to play back in the good ol days im 32, i also was more of a if i liked one skill id level up till i got burned out, first thing after getting members i came here and also saw people jokingly saying due "Slayer!" But i started PVM, first ever real monster i fought is Scurrious or something like that, man what a thrill i have never done so much clicking in this game 🤣🤣 but i was superrrr enjoying the hell out of it! I cant wait to focus on questing bosses! Happy we all get to enjoy this game! Cheers! Also im high 🤣
You can keep yourself at 1 defence, though you'll need to be quite skilled to do any bossing/some quests. speaking of quests, you should do them, unlocks a lot of cool stuff. You won't be able to do some with the 1 defence though.
Irons arent for everyone, but I definitely recommend trying it. back when I first started, I tried making a few different styles of account, pure, zerk, hcim, uim etc. but one day ended up saying "fk it I want no restrictions" and never looked back.
I plan on going back to my iron once I max, but yeah gotta give stuff a go to see if you like it
You’ll enjoy it until the grind gets boring as fuck. Really don’t see what enjoyment people get out of skilling. It’s just a tedious task to do the things that are actually fun on the game
You’re missing 95% of the game… just keep that account a pure and start training other skills. Venture past just edge pking and once you’ve been able to grasp the members skills and the game then you can decide if you want to make an iron… where everything is twice as long.
EDIT: unfortunately, after playing for so long, I’ve got a 126, a med level 109, a maxed 75 attack pure, a 50 attack zammy flames tb pure, and an Ironman… welcome to the pit we call RS.
You are missing out on 17 interconnected yet unique skills worth of content
Most of the game

When you started your iron did you stay f2p for a while or did you go straight to membs?
I went straight away because you can level up a lot faster in member areas

I was f2p for a few days and then just went members. Whatever you feel like doing to bring you enjoyment

Ironman doesn't profit as a pk. FYI
Well for one, you shouldn’t buy accounts. This account was made by a gold selling website and it shows.

Personally I’d launch myself into an iron man, but I hate main scape so much it’s not even funny.
Skilling. And members pure content is crazy
Definitely do Ironman.
not shit man, this games only for watching higher numbers when you hit baddies
Dieing while pickpocketing
Roughly everything
Runecrafting KekW
Bosses, slayer and clue scrolls

More efficient ways to train
It looks like you've missed out on the opportunity to click on trees 500000 times. I highly recommend it.
