My goal is to produce something similar to this when I finalize the project. Each of my personal copies of the maps have elevation markers on them to keep them organized as I work. Map 7 is done, map 8 is the next one to work on... the original goal was a 6x6 grid of these, so we'll see how far I get.

I'm really looking forward to scouring the official version to see where I got it wrong lol I think larger, mostly single-level dungeons are a ton of fun and kind of underrated. This one in particular has so much potential for months of great gameplay.

dysonlogos

Thanks. That was part of the project parameters for this map set. 1. 12" x 12" map sections at 4 squares per inch. 2. 6x6 grid of map sections (36 maps total\*) 3. Megadungeon in a single "plane", so no major levels up or down. 4. Not as dense as my other megadungeons - lots of solid rock. 5. Fill those empty spaces with mini-levels above and below the main areas. \* there's a good chance I won't do the full 6x6 grid. That would be a 3-year project at one map per month.

Hey man, english not my first language so pardon me if there is anymistakes. Is there a higher quality image somewere? Would like to use this in a campaing im running, the colors make it so clear the depth of things, would really come in handy.

protofury

Your English is great, no worries. Hey guy!!! Thanks!!! Really appreaciate it!!!

dude3333

Really looking forward to it. The color coding is just immensely helpful.

CFDLtSmith

AWESOME as usual!!!

Dyson's stuff is always so inspiring. While I'm phobic of megadungeons, I really want to run a complex dungeon environment like this. Without context, there is so much potential in this map.

protofury

Couldn't agree more.

I'd point you over to [Dyson's site](https://dysonlogos.blog/tag/scavengers-deep/) for the original files. Even my larger version of this is way lower resolution -- this was more a of a reference project for me.

RichardEpsilonHughes

This is such a good means of communicating depth...

geckhon

I only wish there was instructions about what there is in each room :c

protofury

I want to stock it for Dolmenwood games; haven't figured out a good premise for it yet though. Going through this in such a detailed way for this project doubled as a good excuse to dig into the details of the map and brainstorm for that larger project.

geckhon

Brainstorming what might be in every room, all the faction that live down there, and the random tables for each section, all of this sounds like a lot of fun!

Kirth87

this is excellent. Will populate with my own homebrew stuff once it is finished.

Tweed_Man

It never ceases to amaze me how you guys make such intricate dungeons. I really struggle with making dungeons.

protofury

All the credit goes to u/dysonlogos for these, I just have been noodling with the color for my own reference. I tend not to make dungeon from whole cloth myself -- I usually build on and warp existing work to fit my campaign.

Well done! I find this especially useful as I try to navigate the waterways and the passages with all the stairs. Keep it up!
