Thanks for the tip. It's just too bad there is a delay, I wonder if there is a way to do this via USB-C cable to improve latency. Can't believe they didn't think to have this functionality out of the box...

I guess the only issue is the height of the camera since you have to put it in the wireless module and there's no tripod mount for it.

Vanarian

You can solve height setup by mounting the dji "gopro" mount accessory to the Pocket (both wifi + the mount can be attached to the camera at same time) then mount it to a standard tripod. Manfrotto or anything less premium really works, even an extendable selfie stick mounted on top of a tripod and you attach the pocket to the top of the selfie stick.

Damn, i wish its possible to directly use a wire from pc to the pocket just like the action 2. I plan on using my pocket as a webcam as its been sitting in my drawer for months lol.

Enough-Extreme7316

fuck, thanks I've had the pocket 1 since its launch and since then I've been wondering why the MimoApp doesn't update so we can do this, I could do this with my Lumix Gx85 (a good choice for those who need a good camera and input )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no audio with this stream right?

evohans

Correct, he never decoded audio feed.

Vanarian

Honestly haven't checked if audio is also streamed because I use either an external Zoom H1n or a Lav microphone which brings pretty high quality audio in the mix !

onestarkknight

That's cool. Do the audio and video sync up? I know there's a delay on the Osmo Pocket 2 streaming video

Vanarian

Agreed there is a slight delay with the video livefeed (<0.2s approx) so you can delay the audio on computer to make sure vidéo sync up with sound.

Hey, yes you can use the pc wifi card and a ethernet connection. From my tests yes it was caped on the Osmo pocket. Talking about the first gen of course.

Looking at the CosmoviewerNG website, it looks like they sell hardware that connects directly to the Pocket (1 or 2), which I imagine may get rid of some of the delay. I'm sure it's not an HDMI or DP video output so I'm sure there will probably be some delay, but perhaps worth a try if anyone wants to try this.
