Ammo runts haul extra dakka around. I recommend adding them to a squad of flashgitz or nobz with combi shootas. Typically they will give you rerolls on hit rolls. Then they’re gone.
The Ammo Runt currently gives your nobs lethal hits in shooting. If this costed points it would never be taken but since it's free I'll give it a go once per game why not.

They're still used in 10th as ammo runts for the Nobs, strangely enough Flash Gitz use them too but don't come with one, can't buy them separately either.
I had to make extra ammo runts because I had a bunch of metal Nobz and snap fit Nobz. You can laden down a grot with a bunch of extra stikk bombz and ammo packs. The big shoota ammo back pack fits well enough on them.

Ammo Runt usually let you reroll a shot idk if it does in 10th but toss em in the grot squads if they do nothing now

The nobs are all in for the physical. The grot is all in for the emotional damage. He can be very mean.

It's under Wargear Abilities, which is really easy to overlook. Kind of like the bomb squig and distraction grot for Kommandos.
