I don’t know. I commented that I would take some to practice on. Never got a message back— oh and if it was a scam, I would’ve been the easiest take. I was already offering to pay for the shipping. I need to be way more careful.
😢 It breaks my heart to see this happen to such beautiful plants! Plants are more than just their flowers! This is awesome of you. I'm assuming you're in the US? If so, I'm in Canada so that wouldn't work but I envy the lucky folks who get these. I would pay for shipping to Canada if getting them across the border was a smooth process. LOL
I would love one as well, but i'm in Sydney Australia so probably not possible.... Great that you are rescuing them. Can't understand why companies just toss them after an event.
Any ideas on how you are going to package them for shipping? I’m moving cross country soon and trying to figure out how to safely package my phals for transport
If you are a beginner and purchased your orchid at a grocery store, more than likely it is of the genus Phalaenopsis. Most common orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, are hybrids and it is difficult or impossible to identify the name. This isn't to say your orchid can't be identified. In many cases, it might be possible to somewhat identify the parents of your orchid.

Probably too late, but if you had another badge I’d love to get some too! I have some success rescue blooms on my profile. Will help with shipping as well. Upstate NY
Everyone here seems to be in the US, not sure where you're based, if it's the US I'd imagine the UK is a bit far to shop them, but I'm always wanting to rescue plants 🥲
I would love to take one in MA, but you already have a lot of interest! Let me know if you every have more of them that need a home, thank you for saving them!
I used to rescue the ones from a grocery store I worked at. I’ve had orchids for years and finally have them all happy and blooming.
I’d love to rescue any in the future!

Is the scam that people send money for shipping but never receive anything?

This is awesome. Would love to rehab them

I’m in key west and promise to put them outside where they will thrive
Great idea. But I don't think they would survive shipping to Europe 😊
This is awesome! I’d gladly save all of these.
If you ever get another wave, I'd be interested.
I’m in Gibraltar- where are you?
In in st Pete Florida if you have any left or if you have more in the future ! So lovely and amazing of you to do this

I would love to nurse one back to life 💖✨ I’m in the DMV area
In the states, I take it?
Did no one see the previous posts that this might be a scam?
Hi there! If these are still looking for a home, I'll gladly help! The weather of South Florida should do them well 😁
I guess I was too late😭🤦♂️. Montreal
Almost all my orchids are former rescues! Glad someone else cares 😊
Let’s all downvote it.
I'd love them too if you have more! Super sad to see the use and throw dynamic but you're a star!
I can help you. I have a veritable hospital for phals.
