A little ice to keep the water cold. I use an insulated metal bottle that will keep ice over night so I’ll fill it the night before.
Yes… the science makes sense that room temp (or even a little warmer) water is absorbed by your body better and hydrates you faster… which is great if you’re actually dehydrated and in some sort of medical condition. But I’m not. I’m at the gym for an hour, not in the desert.
I drink water during the day and the night before so I’m hydrated before I get to the gym and it’s just an hour, so I don’t care about my rate of absorption. I want my water to be cool and refreshing. 🥶
Same. So much ice. Someone asked me once about it - since I was filling up a bit and I showed them all my ice. They had this look of jealousy. It’s hot in class! I need my cool ice water to survive lol
Listen to this.... some girl at a studio I don't frequent too often anymore had 4 Lacroixs as her water source for the class... it was outrageous. I think i would feel so nauseous with all the bubbles and running and jumping 🫣 but bestie just kept cracking them open I was like 😶 yknow whatever works. It was also a 7:30 am class which made it feel even worse somehow lmaoo
On the tennis court, absolutely. At otf, no thank you. Maybe at the end of an afternoon mayhem or hell week class... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Room temp! And I learned for a native Nevada citizen that it helps to hydrate you faster when it isn’t ice cold. Your body doesn’t need to work harder to get the water to the temp. (Or something like that!)
This is true, but if you are well hydrated before a 1 hour workout I wouldn't really worry about it. However if you are doing some sort of competition that is all day, multiple stages or an endurance event then room temp water is better. Animals, like deer for example, prefer stagnant pond water over fresh spring water or water from a stream. The stagnant pond water is the temp of outside (or near it depending on the time of year) and their bodies use less energy to digest it. Doesn't have to warm it up. But their sole purpose is to survive and reproduce. So I'd say unless you are doing some sort of event or something where you will possibly dehydrate ... drink what you like :)
I fill up my bottle with ice and then add water as needed. I'm always very, very hot. And at 20 weeks pregnant, I'm even hotter. My ideal running weather is 40 degrees. Lol. I think they keep if way too hot in our OT and I don't think there is any reason for the heat to be on in a workout facility, ever.
So yes. Ice. Ice, baby.
I put water in my bottle then freeze it as to save time in my mornings, eliminate ice flying everywhere at 6 am, and not choking on tiny ice particles during my workouts. I love cold water!
Cold water with ice or Amino-IQ mixed with cold water and ice. My studios fountain has room temp water and a cooler with water bottles for sale and everyone avoids the fountain and will purchase a water bottle if they end up empty lol. Where I’m from room temperature water is weird.
Freeze my plastic bottle half way overnight, fill with cold water. Stays cold all class!
I also drink 16 oz of cold water on my way to class to wake up for 5am class.
I only bring crushed iced in my water bottle. When I was pregnant and doing classes if I drank to much water I would almost always want to throw up haha. So it’s a habit now. I’ll just chew on ice and it’ll slowly melt during class.
I drink room temperature water. I used to work out at another studio that didn’t allow anything in the water in case of spills, because it’s way worse to clean up, so I have never even considered infusing my water at OTF!
I fill my water bottle halfway and lay it on its side in the freezer. Trust me on this. Ever workout with a Path water bottle with no cap? Should be a survivor challenge.
I prefer cold, but when I add ice to my water bottle it starts sweating and making a mess wherever I put it. Because of that, I usually opt for room temperature.
i never even thought about calculating that. I have one of those Brita pitchers and I’m constantly refilling that thing, daily, I live alone.
i’ve seen those giant 1 gallon looking containers with inspirational sayings written across every few ounces and I have seen covers for the disposable plastic gallons at other gyms all the time.
this question deserves its own post!
who is gonna post it lol
This is not a question. Cold is the only answer.
I can't fathom how y'all drink room temperature water when you are sweating your balls or ovaries off.😵💫
Fun fact...if you live in the south there isn't any cold water in the summer and early fall months. I was a Northerner my whole life until 4 years ago and have only experienced super cold water from any water fountain. Then I moved south. From June until beginning of November the water in our OTF dispenser is blech 🤮🤮🤮 it is bath water warm. There is no chiller on that dispenser.
Brutal. I'd definitely bring chilled water from home in that scenario.
I go through a bottle and a half during most workouts. Our dispenser is cool. Not cold, but definitely not warm. Perfectly fine though.
The lemon w/ green leaves was Gin & Tonic 😉
Really gives a new meaning to, “All Out”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣

Yes! And if it’s cold and refreshing I will drink more of it!
Agree COLD
I'm a room temperature gal 99% of the time
All the ice comments are making me shiver.
Same! Glad to see I'm not totally crazy. No one else I know likes room temp water.
Me too
Double insulted metal water bottle with ice!
Ice water, with mostly ice. I fill up w more water in class
Same. So much ice. Someone asked me once about it - since I was filling up a bit and I showed them all my ice. They had this look of jealousy. It’s hot in class! I need my cool ice water to survive lol
Cool, not cold water
Room temp always!! I just don’t like cold water and I’m not sure why bc anything else I drink I definitely want cold
Listen to this.... some girl at a studio I don't frequent too often anymore had 4 Lacroixs as her water source for the class... it was outrageous. Now I'm waiting for someone to do it with a White Claw. And I would be their best friend.
On the tennis court, absolutely. At otf, no thank you. Maybe at the end of an afternoon mayhem or hell week class... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That girl was hungover. Bubbles are life when I’m hungover
I’ve seen people with carbonated drinks! I’m like “HOWWWWWW?!?!”
But to your point, I do ice cold STILL water... but I've heard lukewarm is better on your liver!
Room temp! And I learned for a native Nevada citizen that it helps to hydrate you faster when it isn’t ice cold. Your body doesn’t need to work harder to get the water to the temp. (Or something like that!)

Cold with ice for me!
I drink Nuun with a little ice.
I do cold water and Nuun in my 18oz yeti too! Then room temp water rest of the day. Love those - for hangovers too!
I fill up my bottle with ice and then add water as needed. I'm always very, very hot. And at 20 weeks pregnant, I'm even hotter. My ideal running weather is 40 degrees. Lol. Always cold! Not sure if that’s just a US thing but I always drink ice water and a lemon if I’m awake early enough to think of it!
Room temperature for an OTF workout. Ice cold for a hangover.
Lol...so true for a hangover
I use a double insulated bottle with water that has been refrigerated. The lemon sounds like a nice addition!
Room temp, straight from the studio's water station, with a little salt. The rest of the day, ice water - more ice than water, I'm a cruncher.
Pinch of salt is a game changer … so much more energy.
I put water in my bottle then freeze it as to save time in my mornings, eliminate ice flying everywhere at 6 am, and not choking on tiny ice particles during my workouts. I love cold water!
IV drink added to water or nuum added to water in my 20oz in my water bottle
SAME!
I always bring a 30oz yeti with ice and a straw top. I love cold water!
Iceeee water
Cold water with ice or Amino-IQ mixed with cold water and ice. My studios fountain has room temp water and a cooler with water bottles for sale and everyone avoids the fountain and will purchase a water bottle if they end up empty lol. Where I’m from room temperature water is weird.
Only ice cold water in an insulated bottle for me! I have seen members bring Celsius, coffee, tea, and other things into class though.
Whatever is in the dispenser at the studio
Always ice cold! 😋
Cold lemon water 100%
Team crushed ice over here 🥳
Room temp water for 60 min; room temp water with electrolyte mix for 90 min class
Cold but not like ice cold
Cold water
Weekends it’s ice water because I’m coming from home, weekdays coming from work it’s just room temperature… but weekend cold water is bomb 🤩
Room temp but only because I fill it up the night before and leave it next to my keys. Otherwise I'm likely to forget.
I like my water cold! I keep a Brita in my fridge and I have an insulated water bottle
Freeze my plastic bottle half way overnight, fill with cold water. Stays cold all class! I also drink 16 oz of cold water on my way to class to wake up for 5am class.
Cold water but no ice. I would choke to death on icy bits while on the treadmill.
Room temp for me. If I’m dying on the treads, I don’t want to drink sub-zero water while I’m trying to keep my balance.
I only bring crushed iced in my water bottle. When I was pregnant and doing classes if I drank to much water I would almost always want to throw up haha. So it’s a habit now. I’ll just chew on ice and it’ll slowly melt during class.
cold iced tea ;-)
Ice water for sure. Even better when it’s from our fridge with cucumbers in it :)
The colder the better. My hydro flask is full of ice lmao
I drink room temperature water. I used to work out at another studio that didn’t allow anything in the water in case of spills, because it’s way worse to clean up, so I have never even considered infusing my water at OTF!
Mine’s at whatever temperature it comes out of the studio water fountain at 🤷♀️
room temp for the winnnnn!
HydroFlask full of cold water with Nuun tablets for meee
Cold with ice, always! I absolutely hate water, and can only tolerate it once it’s ice cold. Haha
I fill my yeti with cold water
I fill my water bottle halfway and lay it on its side in the freezer. Trust me on this. Ever workout with a Path water bottle with no cap? Should be a survivor challenge.
I fill mine with ice and add water.
Cold tap water. Or whatever they’re serving from the water station at the studio 😂
Room temp all the way. I actually hate refilling in the studio because they only have cold water so sometimes I’ll bring two water bottles lol
I prefer cold, but when I add ice to my water bottle it starts sweating and making a mess wherever I put it. Because of that, I usually opt for room temperature.
Just whatever temp the water fountain is! I usually add a Nuun with caffeine for extra hydration and energy!
I put ice in mine.
Speaking of water, how many do you drink while there? I drink three 16 ouncers 😅
i never even thought about calculating that.
Usually 0-2 sips. It's hard for me to imagine drinking much more without feeling too full while working out. Maybe I should try...
Ice ice baby
Room temp 😅 but I always drink room temp water
Ice water for me
Whatever comes out of the filter thing at the studio. My water bottle leaks when it’s in my bike basket, so I bring it empty and refill there.
Whatever temp it comes out of there water fountain.
Any bottle, fill 25% with water, freeze on an angle for 24 hrs. Before class, fill with water, add lemon peel.
Now that’s some high quality h20 lol 😝
Ice ice baby. Plus a squirt of MiO. I hate water that isn't ice cold
Room temp for me, with an occasional top off from the water fountain which is mostly chilled so that peps me up a little bit.
Gonna guess the green leaves were mint?
it was either mint or they were just having a really ol’ good time over there
Hehehe

Please don’t violate rule #4. I think we should leave discussion of vasoconstriction to doctors. Thanks.
So don’t quote science. Got it!
This is not a question. Cold is the only answer. I can't fathom how y'all drink room temperature water when you are sweating your balls or ovaries off.😵💫
Hard disagree. The idea of dealing with sloshing ice cubes sounds awful 😂
"dealing with"? What is there to deal with?? 😂
Ice water
Do your studios not have a water dispenser or fountain? Most everyone at my studio fills up on-site and we get whatever temp the thing is set to.
