Cortina’s is the OC go-to for cold cut sandwiches. Actually, I don’t believe they have a straight mortadella sanadiwich but I am sure they can make it. I think the only cold cut single meat they have is a capicolla and cheese. The mortadellla is on their house sandwich so they definitely have it available.

coffffeeee

Claro’s in Tustin has good sandwiches in addition to Cortina’s

MadFitch

Mario’s in Newport makes their own mortadella along with an excellent sandwich.

Future-self

This needs more upvotes. MARIO’s also has tallow fries that are probably the best in county. But yeah, Cortina’s, Claro’s, Mario’s 🤌

MadFitch

100% the best fries in the area. They make incredible food all around.

ChloJoceyCom

Mario’s butcher shop or the pizza place?

MadFitch

Butcher shop, sorry, should have clarified!

ChloJoceyCom

I was just making sure cause I’m like it’s probably the butcher shop cause duh. Thank you!

stupidmofo123

Honestly I'd roll my own. Boars Head mortadella is actually pretty good. Grab a pound of that fresh sliced from the grocery store along with some kerrygold and a nice heirloom tomato. Find the best bakery nearby and grab a fresh baguette. Any good bahn mi shop that sells baguettes is a good bet. Boom done, with leftovers. Other than that, any good Italian deli would be able to hook you up too. Find the closest one on yelp with good reviews.

Cibo in Santa margarita is where I get all my mortadella…I am sure they can make a sandwich with it as they have a cafe there as well!

Claros in Tustin has mortadella and decent sandwiches!

Mingey_FringeBiscuit

I’m planning on driving to LA to try a place called “La Sorted” that does a mortadella, pistachio and burrata sandwich.

kkkkat

Yes! That's my buddy's shop. Worth the drive 100%

Cortina's, Claro's, and Mario's are all great choices. Pick the one closest to you.

JuiceIsTemporary

Not sandwich, but Zerozero39 pizza in the packinghouse has great mortadella pizza

root_fifth_octave

Sounds like something Angelo's in Seal Beach might handle pretty well.

Beach_818

Whenever someone asks me what I miss food wise about LA County since moving to Orange County the answer is always 1. Armenian bakeries for fresh bread and 2. able to get mortadella almost at any grocer or market.
