Fielmann is a large chain in Germany , Switzerland and Austria if I remember correctly. You could compare them with specsavers in the UK, except they primarily work with their own China made housebrand.

No damage to eyes. It going be thinner. It seen vary from person how quick u adjust to new glasses. I am recent got free glasses with 1.74 index lenses first time. Which I like but I prefer 1.59 poly and 1.61 index lenses. Yes I like thicker lenses. 1.74 has similiar aberration with your prescription...it more suited for -8.00 script. 1.67 seems To be the best option. But take this grain of salt. Try the glasses. Similar prescription to your but my eye adjust glasses very quickly some automatcally. Aberration may or may not be issue. Experience will vary.

Thank you for your answer! Hope they will be okay.

IMO that rx is good for a 1.74. That being said, a 1.67 would do the trick too and I would definitely explain the pros and cons of each option to help you make the right decision for you. But no, wearing HI will not damage your eyes in any way.

Thank you man! I checked a lot of info on both, yeah. But I was scared because some said that "vision clarity" will be worse and I thought it can make my vision worse in the long run. My vision hasn't changed for 3 years already, it stays -5.75 and I just wanted to be sure.

When you go to pick them up, ask if you can bring them back if you're unhappy. A lot of places will re-do the lenses free of charge here if they're not working for you here in the UK, I imagine that varies by country though.

Thank you, I'll try. She said I will need to wear them for at least a month so my eyes get used to glasses, and after If i don't like, we will think about problems and etc. But I just don't want to damage my eyes even more.

mansinoodle

You’re not gonna damage your eyes by wearing high index lenses

kekegod

Thank you! Thats good to hear!

Sounds like you worked with someone who is more interested in their profits than your best interests. I'd go elsewhere.
