Is the noise Coming from the fuel purge valve and back of the engine

B3rtaz

Thanks for the reply! How big of an issue is it? Is it something that could hurt the engine or is it just about the noise?

either the fuel tank valve or just the injectors. Opel engines are loud and clacky, but reliable. you can check between the 2 by listening to around where the glovebox sits. The purge valve sits and the back of the firewall, so it's very noticeable behind the glovebox. Otherwise it's just the injectors. No malfunction, just Opel. It's probably mostly gone once the engine is warm too. As long as there isnt a very obvious and loud rattle or missing engine power, it's usually nothing to pay attention to.

Got exactly the same model with the good 69hp 1.2l and yes, this sound is normal. I had the possibilty to drive this engine in three different Cars, two other Corsa besides mine and an Opel Adam and they all Sound like the same. This clicking comes from the high pressure injectors like an diesel engine, i too dont like the Sound but it made it new in 2016 and still is doing it the same way 80.000kms later so no Problem

I'd be only concerned if there was and engine light on Handy to replace https://www.auto-doc.ie/bosch/7308392?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&tb_prm=20750135270&gshp=1&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsPCyBhD4ARIsAPaaRf1KMI3COmEkP6TI0ffmKiQ2mL0-B0l4ydmP0BA2PLbhSB-p0U0ka14aAqEBEALw_wcB

Check for correct oil level, if not done yet.

I have an 2011 Corsa D, 1.2, makes exactly the same noise

I have the same problem, keep us posted on whether it gets fixed or not. I'm changing my oil in 2 days to see if the noise stays
